This was me and my partner's first time trying French style food. We are always up for new and different cuisines.. The meals were very simple. I wouldn't say they were amazing or that they were even planned. It did what they needed to do if that makes sense. Now our server was an absolute delight. She was warm, friendly, educational thoughtful when we were unsure she provided alternatives or suggestions. Now the actual restaurant itself was gorgeous quaint small intimate. All of the staff had a smile on their face and trust me that goes a long way for us.

Service, food, and the vibes were all phenomenal. There wasn't anything we ordered that we didn't like. Definitely recommend the mussels and the mushroom risotto in particular. The wild child cocktail was also a great recommendation; good balance of sweet and sour. Would likely come back!

Lovely French spot with great, affordable food and an extremely romantic atmosphere. The service was fast and our waiter was super attentive! For food, we had the warm baguette (butter was perfectly salty!), the French onion soup (which was pretty sweet but still quite yummy), the steak frites, the Arctic Char (insanely good!) and the crème brûlée which was phenomenal.

A terraced entryway transported me from the streets of Chicago first into a sleek and modern steakhouse on the first floor of the beautiful, new One Chicago building. To the right, the modern black decor gave way to natural wood, and a set of stairs guided me up toward Petit Pomeroy. Mid-way up the stairs, a playful statue stood holding a bowl of sweet candies for passersby. I arrived at the host stand and was briefly guided to the bar before being almost immediately escorted to my table. There were only a half dozen or so seats at the bar, although an unoccupied railing nearby could have also seated a few more ambitious diners. The bartenders -- and the rest of the staff, including our server especially -- were well-dressed and incredibly polite and friendly. I started the night with a glass of an excellent Syrah, and my partner opted for a well-made French 75. For food, we started with our very-kind server's suggestion of the chicken liver mousse. The cherries and dressed citrus provided a perfectly sweet and tart contrast to play against the richness of the chicken liver. For mains, we split the filet au poivre and the trout amandine. The filet was perfectly cooked, and the peppercorn and brandy in the au poivre sauce perfectly swaddled the meat without being overbearing. The trout was well-cooked and tasted great; however, the fish was a touch dry in places. For dessert, my partner greatly enjoyed the prune gelato, while I myself indulged in a wonderfully crisp and caramel apple tart. On our way out the door, we stopped by that playful statue for a final treat from Petit Pomeroy. Even their candies were immaculately sweet. I cannot recommend Petit Pomeroy enough. From the food to the service, and especially the details in-between, Petite Pomeroy simply delivers.

Came here for a belated birthday date and loved the printed menu with the birthday sign! Our service was great and quick as well. The interior was beautiful, as was the nice French music. I had a lovely glass of cotes du rhode (a French red wine), and my boyfriend enjoyed a French beer and Belgian beer. We had the escargot, which were tasty and chewy. We also got the mussels, these were in a nice light garlic cream sauce- the garlic baguette was delicious to dip with. I had ordered a salad, but it didn't come out so we canceled the order and finished our meal instead. Otherwise, it was a beautiful and tasty light meal!

Excellent dinner spot! Upstairs from another restaurant. It has an intimate atmosphere and good food. The staff were excellent.

The ambiance was absolutely gorgeous! The dim lighting set the mood, although it seemed like some older folks had a hard time reading the menu due to the lighting. The fresh baguette is a must - they make their own butter in house and it is delicious. The server was very nice and gave us a free dessert which was very unexpected! Definitely on the pricier side but it's a nice splurge for a special occasion.

Really liked the chicken, which was so juicy and tender! Also especially liked the potatoes dipped in the chicken gravy. Such a cute ambiance and environment with really good service and recommendations. Would recommend for a cute dinner with friends or even a date

Had an amazing dinner here! We did the three-course prix fixe and loved every bite. The French onion soup was rich and comforting, the ham croquettes were crispy and delicious, and both the steak frites and trout amandine were perfectly cooked. Finished with a maple-bourbon crème brûlée that was chef's kiss. The vibe is classic French, elegant but not stuffy. Felt like fine dining without being pretentious. Service was friendly and spot-on. Great place for a date night or special occasion. Will definitely be back!

Food was decent. I wish they served some of the stuff they listed on their specials everyday instead of one day a week though. The escargots were in a pesto sauce which was good but it wasn't buttery and smooth enough to spread on the bread. The steak was medium with a nice char but ended up feeling more like well done. Fries were kinda like McDonald's but with a great dipping by sauce. I know they are new but their service is top tier! So helpful when it came to recommendations. Definitely got super busy by 7, and extremely loud inside. Kind of crowded seating which wasn't my favorite. Everyone seemed dressed business casual and above.

Solid. The service, food and ambience was on point. We ordered a prefix memu ($48 French Onion Soup, Steak Frites, Chocolate pot de crème), chicken liver mousse, foie gras, and smash burger. Solid

    Intimate Setting.

I get why it is always booked. If I was to come back, I would do it all again except ...maybe instead of the burger... try something else hmm

Food came at a leisurely pace, which suited us. FOOD: The menu had contemporary takes on French standards. We're not foie gras fans, but there were witty dishes for those who are. A Basque octopus appetizer was clever and flavorful, if a bit salty. Roast chicken was also notably salty, and it lacked the roasty character we expect from this bistro standard. Poached monkfish was tender and tangy, but also a bit salty. The couple of wines we had were interesting, especially an excellent dry sparkling rose, which was quite dry and refreshing.
