Pete's cafe is a neighborhood restaurant that's been here for a very long time. Pete's has a following for sure, and during weekends, expect a wait. Wait shouldn't be too long though. Pete's menu is mainly brunch diner dishes, with some mediterranean dishes thrown in. So far I have only tried dishes in their breakfast menu but their other dishes also look good. We ordered the Pete's omelette and the Pete's skillet. Nothing great that really stood out from these dishes. Both were kinda dry. Adding ketchup to mine fixed that. The pancake was bland but dousing syrup on it fixed that. Our server was really nice. Extra cups of coffee came around a lot. Our food took a while to come out, which a little bit of a surprise. I think it was because our server forgot what we ordered at first and she had to come back and confirm our order again. Overall our experience at Pete's was okay. I don't crave diner food often and when I do there are many options around the area. One this I will say is that the prices at Pete's are more reasonable which is always something to consider.

Everyone is super friendly, and we loved the food. It's a diner, for sure- with the spider plant climbing the ceilings and the old school booths. But it is GOOD diner food. We came in twice this week- the first time we had the chicken fried steak and the Colorado burrito, both of which were eye poppingly good. We like their biscuits and gravy and their French toast, but they were just basic in comparison to the CFS and the burrito. Highly, highly recommend the chicken fried steak and the Colorado burrito. The burrito had huge chunks of steak, and so much flavor. The home fries are interesting- similar to fried scalloped potatoes. We will be back for sure.

Absolutely in love with Pete's Cafe. The food, the staff, the cafe itself - all of it. I don't think my review will give this spot the praise it deserves because it's too awesome to full explain. A friend recommended Pete's Cafe because they have a Greek twist on breakfast. We are big Greek food fans, so we thought we'd give it a try. I will likely be here every weekend now. My husband got the gyro and eggs. the meat was so tender and juicy and the eggs were fried perfectly. The homefries were fabulously crispy and the homemade tzatziki sauce were unreal. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and those biscuits were so fluffy. I think I will try adding some meat next time, but I stole some of husband gyro meat and it was perfect. I also added on a pancake and I was sooooo glad I did. The portions are great and the coffee is made fresh. The staff are some of the friendliest people around. It felt cozy and welcoming hanging out at the high top seats by the kitchen. The staff is on top of their game and crank out food fast without skipping on the quality. Our coffees were constantly refilled and it was great to chat and learn more about the cafe while we ate. I wish I could give Pete's Cafe more stars. Already thinking about my next breakfast.

One of the best "hole in the walls" in town!! It's a very small space (10-12 tables/booths) but the service is great and friendly. It's like you're eating at your Auntie's house. And the food is delicious! It's definitely my new spot for breakfast!!

Service was extra slow today but the meal made up for it. Many, many regulars patronize this restaurant. My breakfast was perfect, zero complaints.

When I travel to a different state, it is always hard to find a good breakfast spot to eat at. It took me about an hr to find this gem. I love this breakfast places like these because usually it's family own shop and they always have great service and great food. The server is amazing. She was very kind and very sweet. It was very cute when she came over and wanted to see our little baby but he was knocked out til we were finished with our food. Well sort of finished. I was trying to finish up my pancake. He had some and loved it. He's pretty picky on certain food but he kept wanting more of the pancake. Simple pancake as one of my side and this place pancake felt like love in my mouth. Sounds so wrong but felt so right. I couldn't stop eating it. Left only 2-3 pieces left because I overate. I usually don't eat pancakes but this one here just taste pretty good and fluffy. Also got a chicken fried steak with their home Fries. Hash brown like? Lol. It's sliced like potato scallop but pan fried. It was crispy on the outside and moist and soft in the inside. The chicken fried steak taste so fresh and go delicious with their gravy. Like their gravy was so amazing. It wasn't salty like most places I've been to. It has just the right amount of seasoning to the gravy that adds onto that chicken fried steak that was also seasoned very well. Loved every bite of it. There was nothing left on the plate. Once we return back to visit. This spot will be our favorite spot to come back to. Felt so welcomed there. Love it.

Seated in a booth. Promptly approached by server Harumy, quickly provided with a hot carafe of coffee and condiments. The ambiance is clean, cheerful, and inviting. There is music but it isn't too loud. I ordered the mini-monkey bread (pictured), essentially a biscuit dappled with cinnamon sugar streusel. I didn't love it; I thought it tasted too salty. Still, I finished it so it couldn't have been that bad! I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla (eggs, chiles, cheese, onions, drizzled with avocado cream and served with red salsa), which was very good. Harumy checked on me, and brought the check promptly. You pay at the counter, not directly to the server. I would have given 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't enable this, so I rounded up to 5 stars. Definitely give Bluebird Cafe a try!

I had to ask the hostess to ask our waitress to bring our drinks because we never saw our waitress again after placing our order. She brought the waters and 1 minute later our food arrived lukewarm. The potatoes were not cooked. We were never checked on again. Then the check came, but the extra bacon I ordered "to go" had not arrived. So she went to get that. We paid at the front with the hostess. It was an extra $5 for 2 pieces of bacon. $2.50 per slice. Is that inflation or price gouging? This is the first time in my life I have never left a tip. I'm usually a really good tipper. And I feel bad about it, but I also want to be taken care of in order to give a tip for good service. This was not good service and the food was mediocre. Would not return.

For our meal I ordered the chicken fried chicken with gravy, scrambled eggs and potatoes while my spouse had a BLT with potatoes. The scrambled eggs and potatoes were well prepared and enjoyable and my spouse was satisfied with their dish except how her lettuce and tomatoes were soggy. Unfortunately the chicken fried chicken was undercooked. At the time I didn't immediately realize this as the texture seemed soft due to the gravy. It wasn't until later that I recognized the issue and I ended up feeling unwell after the meal. This was very disappointing and ultimately impacted my overall experience. While the service and ambiance were strong positives the food safety concern is significant. I hope the restaurant takes extra care in the kitchen moving forward.

The service was good--a bit too mindful sometimes, but I'd rather have someone who comes around a bit too often than not. We also liked that they leave the carafe of coffee at the table as that's usually what we need the most, refills. That's why I feel they could stand to come a bit less since they solved the refill problem. The ambience is great. I love the idea of community tables and wooden booths and tables everywhere. I also liked seeing the place but not super-packed so you can't get a seat quickly. Sometimes I think with breakfast places, they strive for lines out the door constantly, but I prefer a place that hovers at that good 70% to 80% capacity mark. I like being able to sit when I want to come but the place still doing well enough to be thriving. All in all, this place is great and I hope California gets their location soon.
