Myself and Tigger

I went in for Tigger's scheduled appointment with Vetco. We were there about an hour in total from picking up kitty food to shots/check-up. Did not have to wait long in line to checkout.

Our beloved S'more, rest in peace beautiful baby.

DO NOT BUY ANIMALS FROM PETSMART! Me and my girlfriend got a guinea pig from a different location and went to this one to get a refund because unfortunately our beloved S'mores got pneumonia and passed within not even 10 days of having her home. They gave us a hard time, claiming because we didn't have the body (which we where getting cremated) that there was nothing they could do. The employee had to call her manager and he was able to get us a refund only because we brought the paper work for us putting her down. They were very rude and they didn't give me a single apology or where even sympathetically about selling us a sick animal. I absolutely think Petsmart should reimburse the vet bill for owners who have to put their pets down within two weeks of owning them when buying them from they're care as we where stuck with a 400$ bill from her exam and being put down. We are very disappointing and heartbroken.

Both of them together.

If I could give no stars I would. This was one of the most stressful & traumatizing experiences that I have had at Petco. No more than an hour into the appointment I receive a call from this location about one of my older 6 1/2 pound fur baby and I immediately start to freak out because I think the worst that something has happened to him. I was told that services would need to stop because he was barking while being blow dried and that they did not want to increase his stress level. I advised the grooming tech to continue in that he normally barks a lot due to him being uncomfortable with a new groomer and that he should be fine. I received a call that they were almost ready and I went to 2784 Peoria Ave location to pick up my dogs and I was less than pleased. My older dog (which will be pictured) looked the same as when I first dropped him off. I was advised his face will only be cut down and washed; however I requested an entire cut & wash. My other dog looked presentable but still not what I was expecting. I chose not to say anything regarding the lack luster "haircut" they received and did not want to put them through further trauma to have it improved. Again, this was a very stressful event for not only myself but most importantly my two dogs. I will never, ever, ever go back to this location or another Petco this matter.

Horrible! A girl named Shyanne cut and burned my dog in his ears and body horribly

Do not go! They burned and cut my dogs ears. Shaved him down completely because the lady messed up on the teddy bear cut. No call to see what other options I had. He had multiple burn marks and cost me $160 at the vet for his ears because The cuts got infected. Stay away from here.

Been to this location a few times and have, to be honest, that I've never bought anything here. I usually check out PetSmart before coming here as many of the items here that I would normally buy are much more expensive then PetSmart and PetSmart is already kinda pricey for me. The few times I've been here, I've never been greeted by anyone or asked if I needed help. They never seem to have enough people working here for the number of people that come in here. Usually, only one person at the register and maybe you can find one or two other people floating around in the store someplace. Another thing that I always find kind of weird at this location is the fact that the store always seems so dark. Like half of the lights aren't turned on. On several occasions, I came in here and the back half of the store didn't have it's lights on and I couldn't even see where I was walking, which is dangerous especially since most of the time they have stuff just in the middle of the aisles. I've never been in here and they had everything stocked and in order. There is consistently stuff all over the place in a mess. Not very professional in my opinion.

I've switched around places to take my two pugs for their nails and baths. Once I met the groomers at PetCo, I knew I wouldn't leave. So yesterday I accidentally mixed up PetCo with Petsmart, and scheduled for my babies to get a bath and nails trimmed. This was my interaction with Petsmart: while making my appointment I was informed that only one dog would be done at a time (ok duh), what they failed to tell me was to only bring in ONE dog at a time. The issue is I'm disabled, and have a hard time moving around a lot. That's why I got "lap dogs". So I get there with both of my dogs, and I'm told that the person is rinsing off a dog and she would be right out with me. I stood there for a while, like 5+ mins, While multiple other groomers stood there and did not acknowledge that I was even there. After finding out that they would only take one dog at a time and they expected me to come back with the other when the first was done, I told them that wouldn't work for me and canceled my appointment. I drove across the street to PetCo where Meile (sorry if I spelled that wrong) assured me that they did have appointments available and took my babies in with a smile on her face. There really isnt a price difference between Petsmart and Petco groomers, but from now on I'm taking my babies to PetCo and know that my babies can be dropped of together and get done in a reasonable amount of time.

A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. I highly recommend this trainer and business to anyone who is serious about having a great dog!

Once we found All-American K-9 and Erika, we knew we had hit the jackpot. We handed our sweet (but crazy) Labrador over to her for a 3-week Board & Train, with a little trepidation. After 3 weeks, we were amazed to get back the most well-behaved, calm dog. Not only did Erika train Finn, but she also taught us how to keep up the training. The responsiveness is unparalleled. I always get well-thought-out and specific answers to my questions within a few hours. I also love that this isn't just a one-and-done training. We have lifetime access in case we have questions, which is a relief, since we have someone who knows Finn and can help in the future. The Board & Train might not be affordable for everyone, but it was absolutely worth every penny. I wish we had found Erika months ago.

My 81 year old mom moved to an urban setting with a small yard and a neighborhood with lots of…read moresmall, yappy dogs that sets off reactivity in her German Shepherd. Although the dog has been through several training programs, she had recently reverted back to being reactive on leash: barking, pulling, and lunging at any dog that barked at her or gave her a "look". Thankfully I found Rob's Dogs through a search online. Rob offers dog training either through individual sessions sold as a packet of 8 or 3, or you can elect to do a board and train method. Since my mom's dog had done two board and trains with other training facilities in Florida and Texas, I opted for the individual sessions sold as a packet of 3. Not to disparage the other training schools, I want to note that the dog had learned a great deal of commands, but she was a little rusty and selective when doing them and was selectively reactive on leash around other dogs. What we needed was a trainer that could come to my mom's neighborhood and see the dog being reactive in the environment where she was going to be walked. Thankfully Rob's Dogs offered this as an option. It cost a significant amount to do this, but it was possible. The additional cost was for the mileage and drive time to my mom's place. We had a meet and greet at the facility. Rob, the owner, met with us and got the back story on the dog and the current behavior problems. He took the dog and walked her around a bit and near other dogs, tested her response to commands and leash pressure. He explained the package options available to us. He also made us aware that we would be using both a prong collar and e-collar to reinstate her former training. We had these tools, but my mom hadn't used them with the dog since she left Florida, and I had never used them. We were assigned a trainer who was contracted by Rob. Lauryn was super friendly and had a love and full understanding of the German Shepherd breed. She herself had a German Shepherd. She went over the operation of the two collars which I was not familiar with at all. Rob's dogs sent us a link and password so that we could watch some important training videos. His website also had some very useful training tips. I highly recommend watching/reading this information carefully and then reviewing it again each week. It's easy for owners to slip into bad habits quickly which results in their dogs behaving in ways they don't want. You will have to enforce rules and get into a routine. Restrictions can be lifted once the dog consistently behaves as desired. You will find that YOU will have to do the hard work. The trainer and Rob's Dogs will assess your current situation and give you the tools and training to use those tools to reinforce good behaviors. It won't happen overnight. You will need to work with the dog for at least an hour each day to reinforce the seven commands and expectations. As I mentioned, we only had three sessions. This training was going to determine whether or not my mom could keep and handle her dog. Immediately after the first session, we started using the tools and putting restrictions in place inside the house to set the law of the land. Right away, we noticed a difference. While the dog was already really well behaved in the house, it improved her response to us when we walked her outside of the house. The prong collar made a drastic difference in her behavior when she saw other yappy dogs on the walk. I no longer had to worry about her lunging, pulling or barking incessantly in an aggressive stance. She still got up, moved forward, and barked once, but it was all very controlled. I didn't have to use all of my strength to hold her back. The real test came when my mom was able to walk her dog around other yappy dogs. After session two, my mom was easily able to do this, and I felt confident that continuing this training would allow my mom to keep her dog. Her German Shepherd is sometimes still reactive, but it is much more controlled and manageable now. In time, and with continued consistent practice, I believe my mom's dog will eventually stop the reactivity altogether. She has already shown amazing progress and only slips occasionally. If you are looking for effective dog training (well, really we know it is human training to learn how to effectively communicate with the dog), then consider Rob's Dogs. You will work hard to get your dog's behavior issues resolved, but the longterm results will allow you to have a wonderful relationship with your pet.

We were impressed with how clean the place smelled. Most places involving dogs, there is always a faint or not-so-faint smell of dog, but with zoom room, you never could tell dogs were in there when it came to smell. Also a bonus is their amazing selection of dog treats and toys! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We met Colin, the owner and trainer, for orientation and he was awesome at explaining everything from training to their philosophy to what is expected of dog owners and what we need to do to see results with our puppy. With our schedule, we have been mostly in training classes with Ray (sorry, if I misspelled that!) and she is amazing! Gatsby loves her and so do we! We and Gatsby are always learning something new with each class that we never would've picked up from online or trying to train by ourselves. The trainers are very passionate about dog training and it definitely shows in classes. The best and most important part about Zoom Room, that we love the most, is their philosophy on only using positive training techniques and avoiding negative ones at all cost. We highly recommend this place if you're looking for a clean, safe facility with friendly and kind staff, and passionate trainers for your pup!
