    This little bit of water has 4 mid sized fish in it.

    Today I went to petco in Montclair to buy some assorted African cichlids. The manager was in the fish department helping someone and said he'd help them & be back to help. Ok fine. He cam back after a long while of me and another guy waiting & while he was tying the customers fish I was standing next to him and began to ask if I can go online to sign up for the petco club & he IGNORED me for over 45 sexonds of standing right next to me silently tying a bag & said finally he would help me after he takes them to the register. Ok. Cool. He comes back and he's all of a sudden in a hurry. I told him that I wanted 3 specific fish and b/c they were faster than he thought he gave me 2 specific & then out whatever he could catch in a bag w about 12 ounces of water & I asked what food can I use and he asked me wheee my friend was at to help me with that! I said my friend isn't at work at petco! He then took my fish to the register & began to help the other guy who had been waiting for literally a few minutes. It felt very rude and disrespectful and I'm going to complain as high as I can go, I'm so tired of ppl being so comfortable and unchecked that they treat ppl this way.

    Came here to get my old English sheep dog groomed. Sarah and Vanessa were very nice and explained everything about the grooming process and what they were able to do for my dog. Unfortunately they are very limited to what they are able to do, per Petco policy and my dog was left pretty horribly looking since they couldn't finish the grooming. I can't blame them tho, my dog's ears were very matted. I had to take her to another groomer to fix the matting. My dogs ears and rest of her body are nicely groomed now :) if your dog is badly matted I don't recommend coming here, otherwise it's a great place to take your dogs in for grooming at a reasonable price!

    I have come here a few times recently. One of my two cats is very finicky, as they only have one food here that she will eat only sometimes. I have ordered online, and I now I know exactly where to go to get the food she needs. It's in the fresh food fridge in the middle of the store as they only have two items of fresh food for cats here. I usually get only the beef and chicken Fresh Pet Vital Paté. It's very tough when you have a picky cat. I wish she was like the other cat, who will eat anything. His favorite here is the same or the other cat wet food item, which is the chicken pre-cut fresh Pet Vital bites. I do wish they had more of a selection here. Maybe ones with fish. The cashiers are always really cool and helpful. I like coming here because it's the closest place to my home for my cats. I will be back soon!!!

    This company is so cheap they refuse to upgrade their trashy phone line. I called the first time, the Ai female said just wait on the line, you wait, sends you to a dead end transfer saying press 0 to speak to an operator, 3 seconds in, GOODBYE. Click. Hangs you up. It was so fast. I called the second time, i got a girl. Her line was VERY crackley. Ehh....Oh, *breaks up*. I cant hear you lady, *hangs up*. I called the third time, got a dude. He sounded way better but still garbage as you can hear a bit of static. I asked, do you have this flea medicine on site? He says nothing, sends me to the waiting music. At this point I was getting pissed. I dont normally get mad. Im very patient and polite but theres an order that i made might not get it and they kept the money so far. When the phone was transferred, i got the girl again. She asks in garbled static, can you hear me now? I said, your line is trash. How can anyone call you for appointments or emergency issues for a pet? Shes gone. Empty, no sound. Either the call dropped or she hung up. I wasnt using Wifi calling, i made phone calls before Petco to talk to 2 doctor appointments, Urology, Primary and my Insurance, both calls were crystal clear. So i thought this was only me but my dad calls because this is his issue. I was only doing it because hes Autistic, old and sometimes confused. But he calls and same thing. He gets the girl, he said, i cant hear you. She tells him their line isnt working. She hangs up. We ordered a flea medicine that is practically a medication prescription and they have to have your vet to approve it so they can mail it out. My dad was actually able to luckily talk to someone and said no they do not have it at their stores. He asked, why do you even sell it online for then? We had trouble cancelling it because they couldnt do that. Banfield says talk to Petco, Petco waiting for approval but Banfield isnt looking at it. So the money sits in Petco's bank account and we are having trouble cancelling the order of $93. This is why Petco deserves a 1 star. They make millions of dollars or more, and cant invest in better phone lines. So why sell it if no one can approve it and we cant communicate to anyone to cancel it or get an approval? Sounds shady dont you think? So the money, what happens to it? You keep it? NO way! My dad had to make an appointment so that they do the check up on the cat, and then the records are there, and then approve it but was this a way to make money by bringing your cat in and make money off of your order holding it like it was on ransom? I couldnt even get on Petco's chat. It kept spinning and spinning for 30 mins. Nothing was connecting. Ad blockers turned off, nothing. There is so much fail going on in one sitting, if you need to communicate with this business, you aint gonna get it! No one will care about you or your pet, they take your money and the CEO buys a new Porsche instead of fixing their trashy phone lines. Petco would be like the last go-to but i rather go to Banfield. At least their phone lines work! If Petco were to some how lose their business, this is the perfect reason why. Experiences like this keeps people away and find better solutions and professionalism. If you cant call to see how you pet is doing or make an appointment, how do you do business? That is the rant. So much frustration and complication all due to buying a product, flea medicine, and this whole thing blows up into this. My dad wanted this medicine, there are other options out there, i had a feeling this would happen but he insisted. So now its his problem but just doing this for him, one item you buy online, you get this huge article of complication. Horrible. The photo is the medicine we tried to buy, it was the biggest mistake. If you use this medicine for your pet, just walk in. Dont order it here. Do it at Banfield. Not at Petco. At least you can actually speak to someone "CLEARLY" on a phone.

    Name tags and not assuming customers are stealing. Following ppl to make uncomfortable isn't professional

    JIM is so patient, amazing, and kind with my puppy. Jim did everything I asked for and oliver smells so good and looks so cute.

    We have waited wayyyy too long to post this review and I can confidently say even after 6 months…read moretraining has stuck with my pups! Our pug Boba, who is 6 years old, had a huge issue with barking and reactivity. Before training, anytime there was a loud noise, another dog, or even a person just a few feet away from us, he would immediately start barking and getting worked up to the point where he would do that pug scream, and no amount of reassuring would help. Walks were stressful and we constantly felt on edge trying to manage his reactions. Working with Yasin made such a difference. He was incredibly patient and really took the time to explain why Boba was reacting the way he was and what we could do about it. Instead of just trying to stop the barking in the moment, he helped us understand how to work through the behavior step by step. Everything he taught us felt realistic and doable in everyday life, which made it so much easier to actually stick with. One of the biggest moments for us was when we took Boba and his sister with us on a trip to Joshua Tree. Before training, something like that would have been stressful and probably not even enjoyable. But because of everything we learned from Yasin, it ended up being such a pleasant vacation. At one point we even stood and ate at a restaurant for almost two hours with multiple dogs around us, some of them were even reactive, and Boba was such a model citizen the entire time. It honestly felt amazing to see the difference. Because of Yasin's training, we actually feel confident bringing our dogs on vacations now, which is something we never thought we'd be able to do. Boba is a completely different dog in the best way possible, and we also feel so much more confident as owners because we now have the tools to handle situations that used to feel overwhelming. If you have a reactive dog or feel overwhelmed with training, we definitely recommend working with Yasin. He really cares about the dogs and the owners, and it shows.

Blue was three years old when I adopted him from the shelter and had been there for two years, essentially his entire life. He had no formal training and several behavioral issues, and he was extremely reactive to other dogs. Yasin has been helpful and patient throughout the entire process. He has a positive attitude and genuinely cares about his clients and their dogs. I truly wish I had found him sooner. I will continue working with Yasin and Empire K9 Dog Training to help Blue for as long as needed.

    We brought our young (under 1 year old) Golden Doodle to Darcey and her team to work on his…read morevocalness, impulse control, and overall obedience, and it was one of the best decisions we've made! The entire team was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. At the start of boarding, Darcey was able to pinpoint the key areas that needed work. Throughout the training process, we received regular updates, including informative notes, photos, and videos that showed just how much progress our pup was making. It gave us so much confidence and peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. The information shared also helped to prepare us on his return, specifically the steps we needed to take to enforce his training. On pickup day, Elias took the time to walk us through all the commands and detail best practices moving forward. His attention to detail, depth of knowledge, and ability to clearly communicate everything really stood out not just to us, but even to outsiders observing the session. Everyone was genuinely impressed! The transformation in our pup has been amazing--he's noticeably calmer, more attentive, and much better at listening. This is a level of progress we couldn't have achieved on our own. We're so grateful to Darcey and her team and we would not hesitate to work with them again.
