This rating is purely a reflection of their dog washing area, which has dropped off a cliff over the last couple of years while the cost to the customer has increased. -The floor is always drenched with water pooling in certain areas, and globs of dog hair swimming around in the water. - The tubs have dog hair on the walls and clogging the drain. - While the hoses have been recently replaced, one of the tubs doesn't have a place to secure the hose, and there are other issues like broken sliding doors, missing leashes, broken step-ups, etc. - The towels are so ratty you will leave covered in white fibers. - It's just gross in there. I'd love for them to put a protocol in place for keeping this space cleaner. I imagine some customers are very inconsiderate and don't clean up after themselves, but that shouldn't be a problem for the next customer. For example, after each customer leaves the cleaning room, a staff member could go in, sanitize, wash the walls, put the equipment back where it belongs, squeegee the floor. I can't imagine Pet Supplies Plus wants the liability of someone slipping on standing water...? This process would only take 5 mins and I'm sure most customers would be totally fine with the wait rather than dealing with the mess. I know this is harsh, but I've been going to this location for years and will not return once I use up my current dog washing card (prepaid). read more

Today was just a very good visit to Pet Supplies Plus On Legacy. My dog Blondie was for the first time scared with tail tucked due to the lawn care people and leaf blowers in the parking lot. We came in and were greeted. We had assistance shopping. One of the people working there "Hafsa" came over and paid attention to Blondie and settled her down. We were able to conduct our business and even picked up a treat. A great visit. read more

I had a great experience with CJ on my most recent visit, which is the reason for my 5-star rating. I didn't have room on my phone for the app to cash in my rewards, but she was kind and made it happen! Thank you again for the great customer service. On that note, after reading a few of the comments, it reminded me of a time that I had taken my two yorkies in the store to get a bag of dog food (yeah, the big one) and the cashier at the time didn't offer help take it to the car. The reality is I shouldn't have those expectations for help. If I needed help, I should ask when it's not offered. Lesson learned! IMO there needs to be consistency in providing good customer service. read more

The self service dog wash used to be clean, stocked and maintained. The last several months it has gone downhill. The stalls are not maintained and cleaned and no longer have the removable hair screens so they become backed up. The shampoos are not filled and they have not stocked the deshedding shampoo for a long time. Floors are not cleaned and towels ready. Just not comfortable or inviting any longer. I don't know if ownership or management changed in the last two years but it is no longer inviting to shop there. read more

If I could give a zero today I would. I can't express how frustrating it was using the dog wash today. The register lady who was Indian I suppose was very disrespectful and her manager with the lip rings. Both were very unprofessional and didn't help with any of my concerns. Definitely need new employees and managers that know what they're doing. And when I walked out they both laughed and gave ugly smiles. Oh if I was an ignorant person they would have gotten a real good piece of my mind. But I'm not but definitely would love to see either of them outside of work. And we'll see who's really tough or gangster because the Indian girl starting talking slang as if she is hood as I'm sure she's not. She looks too old to be working at a dog store. Howie and I love Pet Supplies Plus! We have been to two locations in DFW area and both have exceptional employees who are sweet, kind, knowledgeable and just really helpful-whoever does hiring has hit a jackpot of amazing personnel pool, telling you. We love the specials on Howie's food. And we are very appreciative that if Howie won't eat his wet food-we went through a long run of this-they take it back and do their best not to make you feel like a jerk for returning it. We use their self bath there as well. It is super cost effective to buy the card of multiple baths but even just one bath at a time, is such a great deal. You don't have to lean over and kill your back or legs too badly and they have towels that are washed in hot water, so they are safe as to not spread fungus or diseases-an issue I have to watch for with a 15 year old dog. Not only do they have a great selection of healthy and natural dog food brands that Petsmart or Petco doesn't offer, but everything seems to be cheaper here at Pet Supplies Plus. They also always have a lot of items on sale which is nice. My dog is super picky with his treats and I bought this chicken jerky hoping that he'll like it but he hated it. I took it back and they accepted the return without any questions or hassle! It was really convenient and they didn't make me feel bad. I asked Juan about it and he just told me that the coupons all have unique numbers for each client. I understand that. So, i asked again why i didn't get my coupon he thinks but, he gave me the same answer. When i told him i understood that and that's not what i was asking, he got upset, was rude and left. Really great selection of pet food and pet supplies. My wife and I have found that their everyday prices are normally cheaper than the sale price at places like Petsmart and Petco. And they carry more of the premium/healthier dog food choices than at those other places. We've also found the staff there to be really friendly and helpful and if you sign up your pet, they got a free toy for their birthday. This place is between Sprouts & Hobby Lobby & parking is always easy to find. Lady & I always feel welcome when we come here! The staff are friendly & helpful... and also knowledgeable (I've asked them questions about dog food & fish... and they know how to answer my questions). They also have a really good selection of dog food, toys, toiletries, etc. and everything is organized well. But the best part about Pet Supplies Plus is their toenail clipping service (for a donation) & their low cost vaccine clinics (every 3rd Thursday of the month from 3pm-8pm).
