I've been bringing my frenchie to pet evolution for 6mo now and have seen a consistent decline is service. After the most recent tidy up this past Thursday we will not be returning. When I received Grizzly post tidy up he was shaking, still wet, and digging his claws into me. Once home I had to blow dry him myself only to discover he had 2 cuts. One inside of his ear and another on his inner leg. I expected a tidy trim but he had been completely shaved from belly button down and his entire tail hair had been cut off into a stub instead of trimmed. The groomer nor front desk associate mentioned anything and when I called to speak with management, I was told they would call back. It's now been 2 days with no returned call or concern for their negligence. $170 later and my dog has an uneven and unattractive underbelly and backside, shorter ear fluff (when we never asked for this to be cut) and trauma from being nicked in the process. For the price you can go somewhere that will actually care for your fur baby and communicate when things don't go as planned. read more

Costed me $170 for a cat groom and wash. I understand cats can be difficult but I thought that's what I was paying the professionals for. Completely uneven, you can see where the trimmer was and my cat came back with large tufts of hair in random patches. Very unprofessional, it hurt to pay such a hefty amount for such a shoddy job. I knew the price going in but I didn't know this is the service I would be getting. If the job was harder than anticipated the least they could have offered was to or discount the price to something fair and be honest about it. We took both our dogs to Pet Evolution recently and overall everything went well. They looked good and the staff was nice. But after we got home, we noticed two patches on Murphy's back, which was concerning. What bothered us most was that no one mentioned it to us at pickup. Just found Pet Evolution off 380. Went there to have a 100 lbs Goldendoodle and 16 lbs Cockapoo groomed. Both were badly matted. Josh was super friendly and did an amazing job with both dogs. The General Manager/Owner was awesome to work with. They have a little shop of goods to buy. My favorite is they are one of the few places that carry toys made of leather and felt. My dogs LOVE them. I love taking my 3 dogs for grooming here. All the staff members are super friendly and helpful. All the groomers are skilled and truly talented. There are a variety of options to choose from self wash to full grooming. Victor has done an incredible job over and over again for my fur babies. First time working with Pet Evolution and doing the mobile van for nail clipping. The service was awesome and definitely recommend. Made it really simple show up to the house, hand over the dogs one at a time and she did them both within about 15min. Super quick, dogs did great and completely normal after I trauma or issues. Brought my bernedoodle in for a trim with Jay. He had good reviews so I thought it would be ok. My pup didn't have a lengthy coat to begin with and I tried to show Jay what I wanted and he also showed me pictures on his phone - I did NOT get what I anticipated. Not even close. Jay used a level 4 or something on my pup and now he is covered in guard hairs as he cut the coat much too short. He even said when I picked him up that we should probably go longer in the future... umm what?!? I asked for the chin to be shaved but he shaved his whole face! It was just a clear lack of communication and understanding. I also paid to have ear hair plucked and we had a lengthy discussion about it ahead of time and guess what, he didn't do it. He texted me the next day to say he forgot but I could stop in for it to be done. I did not return and simply asked for a refund of the $15 for that service which they did promptly. I really don't know what went wrong but if this taught me anything, its that I can start grooming at home. We won't return. read more

Bought my 4 month old poodle in for his first grooming and again everybody was friendly. Brandy did an amazing job. Update 10/9. My husband just noticed our dog was cut in several places and nobody told us. Brandy was our groomer. I called and asked for a manager. His name was Jon. Didn't apologize whatsoever. He asked if I'd send pics. I said well he's been cut several times. His response was no that's the same cut. Excuse me sir. No it's not but needless to say we'll never go back and I'll make sure to change my 5 star to a 2 star. I have a video and pics to prove it . Took my 6 month old mini golden doodle, Tucker, for his first haircut today and it was the best experience!! Nate and team were so helpful and welcoming. I expressed concern about having trouble with Tucker liking his food and Nate gave me a 5 pound bag for FREE to try out to see how Tucker likes it. So kind!! I will definitely be coming back to Pet Evolution for Tucker's future haircuts/grooming. Great customer service and highly recommend!! The hair cutting guide that is presented is very misleading and not explained until AFTER the cut was done. my Goldendoodle was completely SHAVED, nicking her and making her bleed in 3 areas. I will never go back to the Frisco, Tx location, they did not apologize or offer any ownership on their error other than admitting that the guide they use is misleading. I love how they make you pay and tip BEFORE you get to see your dog. $140 down the drain. read more

Your first self service dog wash is free! They have plenty of towels and even have a deodorizing shampoo available for use (you might have to ask for it - it's pink). You can easily adjust the water temp similar to the way you'd do it at home. Friendly staff as well and they clean up the mess after you're done. The major downside is the lack of brushes or scrubbers. It's literally just a hose and shampoo available. Would be nice to see something you could use to scrub the dog with to break down dirt and such. I've gone to other self service dog washes and they have a variety of combs / brushes available for people to use. read more

We absolutely loved our first experience at Pet Evolution! As soon as we (my German shepherd & I) walked in the door, Neil welcomed us & said, "you must be Zeus!" I love that he was expecting him for his appt & greeted us at the door! He introduced himself to me as Neil. Later, looking at his name tag, I noticed he was the owner. I love that because he didn't need to use his title to get my attention. He showed me the right kind of dog food that I should be feeding to Zeus & samples of the dog food on top of raw meat for toppings. I will definitely be going back to purchase the food. Kindest staff I have ever come across in a pet store. Every time we leave we always talk about what great staff they have. Always SO kind to us and our 3 dogs and so knowledgeable! Great selection of food, treats toys etc. and I hear they have dog washing stations but we haven't checked them out yet. They do wonderful specials too which is always a nice bonus.
