My have a 16 year old Maltese. He hates baths and I've been told by other salons they don't want anything to do with him. He doesn't have behavioral problems but his Alzheimer's makes him very difficult to work with. I met the owner and the groomer and they took sick great care of my dog. He felt comfortable and they explained to me how to maintain him between visits. I highly recommend this place and am so happy that we brought him here. I highly recommend them !! This was my second visit. My very Small dog is easy to groom. So I know the reason she looks the way she does for the second time after being groomed at this Place is not because of behavioral issues while GROOMING!!! I've posted pictures of what I just paid $68 to have a "Professional" (I use this word Lightly) do to my Dog. You decide for yourself if you want to spend this amount of money to have your pet look like this!!!!!! It looks like a toddler got ahold of a razor and went to town. Disappointing experience at the self-serve station for our 70lb dog. Upon arrival, nothing was prepared for immediate use. No extra towels or shampoo/conditioner were readily available, leaving us to keep asking the attendant for help. To make matters worse, the provided shampoo and conditioner that she prepared were so diluted to such an extent that they might as well have been plain water. I literally cannot believe the way this place conducts business. I will post my own pics, but it's been hard to get pics because my dog is now scared to even be touched. Amanda has absolutely no business grooming dogs. I believe it's the owner. Her husband spends his time belittling and berating people online for giving honest reviews. Our dog was shaved, not groomed. We did take her there for her first groom and the girl that did it did a decent job, gave her the poodle lamb cut. It was pretty good for a first time customer. She told us she was an easy dog to groom. Our dog is young smart and docile. Now she's scared to death of being touched. You can see from other bad reviews that the clippers are the only thing used on the dogs. I have never in my life seen such a butcher job done as I have on not only my dog but others here. The feet weren't done, the ears were damaged. It's so, so bad. The male owner is argumentative and rude. He tried to call out my character when I told him I was going to show people what was done to my dog. He stated his family comes before business and didn't have time to discuss the situation. Took a stinky, itchy dog in the other day and left with a happy (to be honest, I think that she was just happy that the bath was over and I wasn't trying to drown her as she had suspected) and no longer stinky and itchy pup! The place was very clean and everyone was friendly and professional - and they had to clean up all of our mess!! Thanks to all of you for that! I have seen some less than positive reviews about the grooming side of the business and I can't speak directly to that, but I can say that I was at a tub immediately adjacent to one of their groomers and she was very kind to the scared dog that she was bathing. I'm just not sure where to start here. We usually go to legacy grooming in McKinney, but it is far for me, so I tried this place out Bc it is close to home. When I dropped the dog off, I noticed that the shop smelled like dogs who hadn't been washed. Ok--no groomer is perfect, so I overlooked it. I got a lovely lecture about being late for my appointment. Totally fine, I didn't know their policies. So I leave my dog there to get bathed and groomed. I come back to pick him up and he smelled horrific. He smelled like he just wasn't washed. As I look at him, I notice a strange marking on his front leg. He also randomly urinated on himself there. He NEVER does this and he's 5 years old. I was working that day so I texted the company a few hours after I picked him up about my dissatisfaction with my dog's grooming. I received generic passive aggressive answers. I told them to forget it, I'll just wash him at home (which I did) and to not touch the bad grooming, I'll just let him grow back. My dog smelled so bad after coming there, that I had to wash him three times and that's just insane. If you go there beware. Loyal customer for 6 years. But no more. Yesterday was a string of bad events. My Havanese wasn't given her regular groomer and the person who took her was apparently overwhelmed with a larger dog who was misbehaving-per the owner of Spot Pet Salon. No one can tell me exactly what happened but my dog's toenails got stuck in the grate and were ripped off. She was bleeding-per the groomer and owners own account. I was not called immediately. In fact upon finding out what happened it took some time to reach the owner of the salon. While initially I found him to be disagreeable he did eventually understand and agree that for me this was a huge breech of trust and a crisis. He agreed to pay the vet bill. Instead of taking her to the ER, which would have been massively expensive, I took her to her regular doctor and had a full checkup with blood work. The owner then called me screaming at me that I was dishonest and taking advantage of him-he's the one who allowed my dog to be injured in "his" care. He paid only about $60-just to have the feet looked at. Not the blood work to make sure she didn't get an infection. Not the meds she was now going to need for traveling because I couldn't leave her home with someone else now this weekend when I am supposed to be visiting my sister. Apparently he holds himself in no way accountable. And when I sent him what I intended to post as a review-much less than this-he blocked me from Facebook. That seems pretty dishonest. Was I the idiot to take him at his word that he would pay for the doctor visit? Obviously. I was scared and had a full exam and bloodwork done. The only thing I maybe shouldn't have charged him for was the heartworm meds but I wasn't thinking about the details. read more

This place hasn't had a review in a while and they deserve a good one! We brought our 3 month old sheltie in for his first grooming and Susan did such a great job with him! She listened to this nervous dog momma that he was nervous (me too) and he cane back to us happy and looking sharp!!! I highly recommend Susan and know our puppy was well taken care of! First of all this place is ridiculously cute! Most self wash salons are dingy and dark from what I have experienced. This place is the complete opposite. They have an adorable little selfie station set up for Instaworthy pics of your freshly washed and/or groomed pup! The staff was super sweet and very helpful in getting you set up and showing you how to use everything and where all the important equipment is- something I have not really experienced at most other self wash locations. Aside from all that, the inside is bright and filled with natural light and overall a cheerful place to be, even if your doggo happens to hate baths like mine! These also have a frequent customer reward program and their pricing is on par with other self wash stations. We took our dog for a self service wash. The tubs were the perfect size for a large dog. Using the sprayer was so much easier then the bathtub at home. If this was the last grooming place on earth, I would never bring my dog here again. As others have said, they do not receive feedback well nor are they able to tailor their cookie-cutter service to fit your needs. Cutting corners seems to be their philosophy. I don't know about you, but when I give my dog a bath, I expect him to be clean (free of loose hair) and smell great. With this groomer, the dog smells bad like he didn't even get a bath. He has boogers in his eyes. His nails are too either too long or they didn't care to file them properly. They charged us extra for teeth-brushing (which would've been fine if it was worth it) only to find that the dog's breath stinks. We were covered in dog hair (twice this had happened) when we picked him up. And when we asked that this wouldn't happen again the next time, we got a very unprofessional attitude from the both the groomers, Autumn, and the place's manager Caroline. They are quick to ask you to for a tip without you even seeing their work. And we brought up their lack of attention to detail in the form of a polite feedback and/or request, Caroline dismissed it because "she has been watching the whole process" and she thinks otherwise. We have given them more than one chance to make right their subpar service, and the last time we reached out, they didn't even bother to answer. That's how disrespectful the "manager" was. This is the kind of customer service and what you will have to deal with if you disagree with her standards. They don't care about our business and we are happy to give it to someone else. So we have been taking our half husky and half German Shepherd baby here to get her nails trim twice. Thought we would give them a try instead of taking her to frisco pet grooming where we used to take our babies to (one pass away few months ago) since they are closer. 10 mins after dropping her off, we got texts and calls saying they can't finish the job because our baby was too anxious. Then when I got there to pick her up, they told me they were able to at least wash her so it will be 20 mins wait but they won't charge me for it. Ok so I sit in my car being 38 weeks pregnant with my toddler waiting for my fur baby and also making an appt with frisco pet grooming to get her fully groomed. 20 mins later, our baby came out and I was supposed to pay for the 50 dollars wash which it wasn't what I originally wanted. I wanted her to be deshedded, nail trim, sanitized trim, tooth brush, etc. so I waited for 20 mins to pay for the service that I will need to pay somewhere else again to complete the job. So I guess lesson learned here is don't go here unless you are sure your dogs are easy to be groomed. Otherwise, go to a trained groomer who is confident of what they are doing. read more

Had a pretty disappointing experience experience today regarding the self service wash. Let me start by saying I completely understand having a policy of when the last bath can begin due to the length of time a bath can take in addition to clean up. It was stated that the last bath is at 5:00pm which again I understand due to them closing at 6:00pm. That being said, I think it's pretty poor customer service that if you have a customer arrive at 5:03 and you turn them away when there is a lobby of customers which would have resulted in me waiting until they were assisted before I was assisted, so therefore the bath wouldn't have started promptly at 5:00 even if I was there at 4:55. I believe this is pretty bad business practice, I was completely dismissed by the employee that was at the counter and it was very disappointing. This to me shows to me a lack of customer service, and I will gladly take my business elsewhere. I thought I had found a quality grooming salon in Prosper but I guess I was wrong. read more

Came in for the self service dog wash, we were greeted right away the staff was so nice. The store is very clean and up to date and the baths were so easy to use. I have a young puppy who gets nervous around new people I explained that to the girl (because we just had an issue earlier that day with Petco) she was so patient and nice to him he warmed up to her right away. The groomer trimmed his nails for him and I washed him. After my dog was cleaned up my dog was walking around the place and getting belly rubs from the staff. For the most part they do a really good job grooming my dogs. But they only get 3 stars because their customer service or communication is not great. Whenever I want to address something after a service, they find a way to put it back on me. Nothing is ever their fault. It's as if they don't want you to ask any questions about the services they provide. Last time I went one of my dogs had clipper burns under his arm, they told me it was because he was matted, and they had to shave really close under his arm. They also said if you put their harness on them afterwards it can lead to the burns? Do you know how many times I've taken my dogs walking after a close shave or groom? It has never happened. There is always something. Today they were scheduled. We have an agreement that I can bring my dogs at 10:30am instead of 10:00 am. I've been going to them for months with this set up. I showed up 5 mins late to a groom, and they walked out and said they couldn't see my dogs because I am late, and they don't give grace periods for late drop offs. This has NEVER EVER been communicated. I am sure in the 8 or 9 months that we've been coming there that we have been a few minutes late before and it was never mentioned. So it made me feel like they decided to enforce this now because they no longer want to service me or my dogs. I understand they have guidelines, but this would have been nice to know ahead of time. I would have never shown up knowing that they don't give grace for lates with my arrangements. Bottom line only go here if you want your dog groomed with no questions asked about why they did something. Customer Service is (Let us groom your dog, charge you and arm and a leg, and don't ask us any questions about what or why). If you do, it's going to be your fault not theirs. Needless to say I'm moving on. read more

They give you everything you need to bathe your dog and the place is really clean for being a dog grooming salon. The staff was very nice and relatable. Disappointed that I gave this place two shots at doing better. Had been taking my pup here for grooming. Very satisfied with the service provided when it came to his grooming. The customer service, though, is terrible. First instance (shame on them) was when I dropped my pup off before work. Was called a little while after and told I had 45 minutes to pick him up. Explained my situation and received a long lecture about minimal boarding and space and how it's in the fine print that I signed off on. Left work in Plano to get him...problem solved. Second time (shame on me) was the appointment I just got turned away from because I was running late. Received a call stating I had 3 minutes before cut off time. Didn't even get to explain what had happened (car problem) and told I should turn around if I'm not there by 15 minute mark, no exceptions. Pushed to get there and arrived one minute later. Guess what happened? No service. Forget all of the other appointments I had here and how I patronized this place for almost two years now. Won't be a third time! I value my dollar and it spends elsewhere just the same. Customer service FIRST provides longevity in any business, NO EXCEPTIONS. read more

I stumbled across Spot Pet Salon and Wash over a year ago and wondered if they would be good not only with the actual grooming but would they be good to my dogs? They are fantastic all the way around, groomers are great to work with as are the staff and they are easy on the wallet.
