I'm not sure how this place has such good reviews. I was referred here by several patients and was excited to try them out after moving to the area. First appt was pretty good..they quoted me a price over the phone for my Bichon and then told Me he was a little matted once there and would would try to let it grow back out so I could get the Bichon cut I was looking for...totally agree ..next time I come in about four weeks later same thing cut was pretty good then when I went to check out there was an additional charge ..I asked them the difference and they said they decided "he was a bigger Bichon and that's the charge he would be going forward" okay... found that odd so they gave me a credit for the next visit ..I would have thought they would have told me that at first visit if that was the case or even second visit explained why and not charge it without telling me first...so then I go for our third appt with them and when I walk in older lady at front asks if she can help me ..I say I have an appt for Bentley ...so she walks to computer and is reading notes I guess and asks me what I want done ...I tell her what y'all have been doing ..we've been trying to get it back to Bichon cut ..she looks at me and says we haven't been taking anything off...so what are you wanting and I say I'm not sure whatever you recommend and she looks at me and asks what I want..I have no idea ..I don't know the length it needs or what not so then the younger guy from the back yells well just trim him up and make him look nice..I say that's fine ..then she walks around to grab my dog and grabs his hair on his head and looks at me and says this is matted! I dont know what we can do! She says do you see this! (Caught me off guard how she was acting especially in front of my two year old child who was with me)....I say I'm not sure ive been bringing him here every four weeks and brushing him more and she continues to give me attitude and very abrasive so I finally say I'm not sure why you're talking to me in that tone ..so she says what do you mean? Then the younger guy walks over and he's like it's fine well use the fine tooth comb and then she continues to talk about the matted hair and I repeat I'm not sure why you're acting that way ..I get he's matted but it's the tone and way you're acting and she just looks at me ..doesn't even apologize ..and then tries to talk to my daughter....I felt so offended and disrespected I almost didn't leave my pup but only did since we were there ..we will not be rescheduling ..do yourself a favor and avoid this place ...they up charge, but even worse the tone and over all professionalism is very poor ...I've had Bichon for 15 years and have been to groomers every four weeks in that span and never have been treated this way ....also Not to mention not once have they asked if my pup is up to date on vaccinations like bordatella ..all other groomers have always asked and verified in the past. Also last two times I've had to ask for a bandana..and they're like oh we can find one somewhere around here..like what? which isn't a huge deal but other groomers have always put one on and we looked forward to which ones they'd have depending on the year... This lady needs to take a business class on customer service ..I work in healthcare and I would have been fired a long time ago if I ever talked to someone this way. Very poor service ..I feel bad for the dogs..if she treated me this way I can only imagine how she treats them...do better Stonebriar grooming! So sad because they did cut my dog well! Today, Christina cut Pablo's hair and specifically understands a Bichon cut vs Poodle! She was fabulous* What I love about Stonebriar Grooming is they schedule individual appointments vs having all dogs washed together in the mornings and staying all day. Usually the have Pablo done under 2 hours. Great local shop and took my dog with same day appointment. It was easy to park and get in and out.

I brought my small dog here for the first time due to them advertising they are good with anxious dogs. The appointment process was easy. Upon arrival, they did not request any vaccination verifications or questions about my dog like typical groomers. The grooming appointment took three and a half hours- which is understandable since my dog can be anxious. At checkout my dog was sitting in their front room in a kennel. The lady who works there checked me out and then went to the back to get my dog, who was sitting in the kennel next to her! She comes back and says she can't find my dog, and finally sees my dog and asks the groomer if this is my dog and the groomer says "I think so?" It was a MESS. The groom itself was not good- choppy, uneven, lopsided. We requested a teddy bear face and it is so uneven. The best part is they cut her under her tail. She is never been cut before ever at any grooming appointment. I feel so bad I left my baby here. I DO NOT recommend. read more

Our Sam absolutely loves going for his "spa day" every 6 weeks, and comes home a handsome boy. Recently I contacted Dori regarding our giant, senior dog, Bentley. Despite never seeing him, she quickly agreed to come to our home to take care of him. It was the best afternoon, watching her interact with all of our beloved dogs, in a way only people in the pet industry can. Bentley has a new lease on life, and feels like a million bucks. They showed empathy for my experience and pretended like it was imp0ssible for them to have screwed up. We even have call logs to prove it happened. REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE with STONEBRIAR GROOMING. The first time I took my Pomeranian to this location they were wonderful. Approximately 5 weeks later I made a second appointment and was being reprimanded by the owner for not grooming my dog daily. I thought to myself isn't that what I'm paying you to do ??? I still went back a third time thinking it would get better but had a bad feeling about this place. when I arrived a 3rd time the owner/groomer complained but still groomed my dog even though she was almost angry about it... keep in mind I have had Pomerania's for the last 25 years so using a groomer is routine for me. I still decided to try one more time and when I arrived they told me it would take too long to do him and sent me on my way, i actually think they just do not have enough staffing to do a long haired pup, so I was fine with leaving without my pup being groomed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STONEBRIAR GROOMING. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL in my opinion. read more
