The space appeared significantly more confined and did not provide much room for them to move around comfortably. When I asked about the discrepancy, I was told that dogs may be placed in smaller kennels when the facility is full. While I understand that capacity issues can arise, this information was never disclosed during my tour or when I made the reservation. Had I known there was a possibility my dogs would be housed in a much smaller space, I would have appreciated that transparency upfront so I could make an informed decision. My main concern is not that the facility was full, but that the expectations set during the tour did not match the reality of my dogs' accommodations. Transparency and honesty are important when entrusting a facility with the care of our pets, and unfortunately, this experience left me feeling misled.

We absolutely LOVE this place. We have two dogs (puppies) with completely different personalities. One came in very scared, nervous, and afraid of almost everything. Since going here, we have watched him slowly come out of his shell, become more confident, socialize with other dogs, and actually have FUN. Seeing that change in him has meant so much to us. Our other dog is the complete opposite--he is Mr. Social! The minute he realizes he's going to daycare, he runs to the door and can hardly contain himself. He absolutely loves being there. What I appreciate most is how attentive the staff is to each individual dog's personality. They don't just throw all the dogs together--they really seem to understand them, match them with dogs they'll do well with, and make sure they feel comfortable and happy. The people there are also incredibly kind, caring, and as flexible as they can possibly be, especially considering how popular and busy they are. And honestly, I completely understand why they're so popular--they're that good! I also LOVE that they offer extra enrichment activities to keep the dogs entertained, engaged, and stimulated instead of just having them run around all day. No one was at the desk and I stood for 15 minutes looking around. The son couldn't be bothered to pause scrolling on his phone and a lady was on the phone in a different office. When he finally brought our dog to us my 3 and 7 yr old kids had to point out that she had deep wounds on the top of her head. They let us walk out the door without saying anything at all. I brought our dog back in and they acknowledged saying they knew about it and that she wanted to play with a dog in the next run and was rubbing her head on the shared fence. It was known for a couple of days but I never received so much as a phone call nor did they relocate either dog, if that's even what actually happened. The placement of the wounds does not match up with what they claim. I took our dog to the vet and they agreed the wounds do not make sense with what they claimed. They had to shave the top of her head to prevent infection and the wounds are significant. Please do not trust your animals with this company. We are now out an extra $100+ for the vet and have had to cancel additional plans while she heals at home.

It's incredibly easy to get appointments, and you never feel rushed. When it was time to put our older dog to rest, Dr. J.M. Stalling provided such compassionate care, truly treating our pet like a valued, very-loved family member - as she was to us. He explained every detail, gave us options, and allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye before, during & after the process. All of the vets here treat your pets with the same importance as human patients. Their follow-through is stellar, with doctors personally calling after hours to check on test results and health issues. I will never go anywhere else as long as I have pets & live within 30 minutes of the location! P.S. I was compelled to leave a review because I am surprised by some of the negative comments posted here. I have only ever witnessed the staff being kind and respectful to clients/patients & co-workers. Also, it's unfortunate, but it seems some people dealing with the stress of a pet who is ill or the heartbreak of a pet loss may be misdirecting their emotions towards the practice.

I took our dogs all over McKinney, Allen, Plano & Frisco trying to find a groomer who could SAFELY AND PROPERLY handle TRULY deshedding winter coated dogs before I found Legacy Grooming. I love that the owners are husband & wife and that they are the ones grooming dogs too so it's not just a rotating door of "lightly experienced people who wash dogs" but experienced owners & a very small staff who remember you, your dogs and most importantly your dogs personality. We have been seeing them for almost 4yrs and have brought in a total of 11 dogs. 5 of my own dogs and 6 foster dogs. PERSONAL DOGS & with winter coats 3 of the 5 of my dogs are winter and/or long coats that require special attention and should NEVER, for the health and safety of their coat, be trimmed or shaved. EVER. 2 Siberian Huskies and a Great Pyrenees Which multiple previous groomers "who specialized in winter coats" suggested be done. So finding Legacy Grooming was heaven sent bc I HATE hair (ya I know) & waisting money on poorly de-shed dogs was super frustrating. They also took care of my senior dog with amazing care. At about 8-9yrs old grooming can become very hard because of the stress on the dog so they were amazing about scheduling him on quieter week day appointments so it would be less stressful, and though we have lost our oldest pup since, I'll always be so grateful to them for handling him care bc I was always so dang fearful of trimming an older dogs nails especially since he had black nail beds. FOSTER RESCUE DOGS Because we had had such amazing experiences with our personal dogs once we started fostering I had a chat with the owners about bringing in my foster dogs for just basic washes and nail trims. Not so much bc they needed it but bc it is so important to get dogs acclimated to those services so as they grow older their fur-ever homes would have an easier time continuing them. Thankfully they have amazingly good prices so I was able to do that for our fosters. Of course just like our personal dogs, when I picked them up, there were zero signs of fear or anxiety which means they were on the right path for the future thanks to Legacy's entire staff. This is definitely my fur-EVER groomer!

Finding a place to leave a pet for a week can be difficult and I have had some unpleasant experiences in the past. I chose Rover Resort due to their Yelp ratings. My sister and I went out to visit and tour before making a choice. I left my yorkie with them over the holidays and I will definitely use Rover again. My pet licked the lady who took her from me which immediately made me relax. Their staff is friendly and the resort clean. I purchased extra play time and believe this helped my pet to deal with being boarded. When I picked her up she was of course glad to see me but I did not have the issues I've had in the past at other boarders where I felt she had been ignored. I encourage you to use Rover Resort if you are looking for a safe, clean and friendly place to leave your pet. read more

My puppy has been going to Rover Resort for daycare the last few months. You can tell all the employees love animals and treat him like their own. They always great him with such love and know each dog personally. We boarded him there for the first time this past week. They were so kind to this first time pet owner. They answered all my questions and were great about accommodating all of his needs. When we picked up him, we could tell that he had been well taken care of. Even more impressive was that my previous anti-kibble puppy starting eating his kibble with no problems after we brought him home. Rover Resort is our preferred canine boarding option. The staff is friendly and attentive to us. They know our dogs and the dogs know that they are welcome. Every single time I tried to schedule a groom or boarding, there were issues. What should have been a simple process turned into a drawn-out, frustrating experience with poor communication and no clear answers. To make things worse, after multiple attempts to get something scheduled, they claimed they "didn't like my tone" and refused to allow me to make a reservation at all. I've never experienced anything like that. Instead of trying to resolve the situation or help a customer, they chose to shut the door completely. Customer service is where they completely fall apart. Responses are slow, often rude or dismissive, and there's zero sense of urgency or accountability. It genuinely feels like they don't value their customers. At this point, it's hard to tell if they even care about having customers at all, let alone new ones. Do yourself a favor and avoid 2nd Family Dog at all costs. There are plenty of other businesses out there that will treat you with respect and actually make the process easy.

I have used the resort in the past with other dogs and the care they received was very good.This visit the dogs shared a large suite with a private doggy door that allowed them to come in/go out at will. They played long and hard with each other, and also played with the other pups. I understand they had toys everywhere in their room and personal play yard to stay active. I have always appreciated that the facility is very clean and organized.They had nails and baths before being picked up this morning. Special kudos as this visit covered New Years Eve, and the staff reached out to me that morning to ask if there would be any concern about fireworks and if my pups would get nervous/would need calming medication. My dogs don't react to fireworks, so nothing was needed, but I was impressed that the staff reached out to check. Concern for my pets' welfare was genuine, and they were very responsive to my emails while traveling to update me on progress. This was the first "resort" stary for my newest rescue pup and I was concerned how he might react. No need to fear. Both pups give it 4 paws up as a great place to stay when their mom has to go out of town. Very grateful to Pet Paradise for playing and caring for my pups.

There's a place for hug volume and big discount but I don't think my dog's care is that place. Castle Creek has limited people hours which helps to keep the focus on caring for our dogs. I'm so grateful for that focus! Yes, I would like to pick up on Sunday but we just plan our trips around the posted hours of business. We do NOT view it as a fault of the business. We actually respect the fact that they give their employees family time on Sunday. We ask the hours of operation so we know how to plan our trips and dog pick ups . Utah, Dez, Dayshia and the tech team in the back truly care! When we drop off our dog, who has separation anxiety, she cuddles into their arms peacefully. When we pick her up, she is happy to see us but not stressed at all from her stay. It's so amazing that we can leave her without concern of her separation anxiety messing up her intestinal track. She comes home healthy and regular! She is on a strict diet and they clearly carefully adhere to it! One last quick note: our little dog loves the people of Castle Creek, when she sees her overnight bag, she starts to do a dance and runs to the back door to get in the car! It tracks his location and activity distance. I asked if he could wear it during his stay there and they were so accommodating! They even charged up the device for us! We saw a couple of photos they posted of Ollie on Facebook. I could totally relax while we were out of town because I knew Ollie was having so much fun. I was skeptical because I have heard so many different reviews on places like this but there is absolutely nothing but amazing things happening there! We will be back!
