Previous boarding experiences were fine however when they screwed our boarding this last time with vaccine records and did not have the date of a vaccine they needed the ball was dropped. Manager onsite 10/14 apologized that previous person put the date in wrong in 2024 so it did not flag as overdue and the next person who checked the records I just sent for 10/2025 visit did not actually look and just approved it. We had to scramble as the vet was closed and we flew out next day. Over $600 to fly with pets and change hotel to pet friendly and buy all supplies and spent vacation driving extra because the hotel was so far away from the city. No follow up call from PP during this. Once I left negative feedback we got a call and further excuses claiming they emailed me the day prior to the reservation about the vaccine date which is a lie as the manager the day of the reservation said they had the ALL CLEAR and there was NO reason for them to "double check" previously reviewed reservations. Excuse me but needing a vaccine date for an upcoming or day off reservation but claiming an email was their ONLY communication attempt is ridiculous. They call and confirm, they send text reminders, etc. We had NONE of this. In the end we were offered a one night free stay for each cat for next time which is about $100 - as IF we will be booking again. Moral of our experience is if you book call and confirm but also remember this is a corporation and they do NOT care about people. The employees are nice but also remember they just work there. Will have to now find a better option before our next trip. read more

This is the best location I've been to. I just moved from Jacksonville Florida to Texas. And when I take my dogs to the one in Jacksonville Florida hated the airport location I would literally have to drag my dogs in there. Today my dogs absolutely loved this location they were so attentive. They sent me report cards to let me know how well my dogs were doing. In the wee hours of the morning they helped get my boarding reservation set up in record time and reassured me he would be in excellent hands. It was an incredible relief and weight off of my shoulders so I could go attend to the emergency. They gave me detailed updates and reassurance he was doing great. We booked a spa day for both of our dogs. They told us the paperwork that was required so we sent everything we had from our vet and ask them if they received it and whether or not there is anything missing. Four days before the appointment they had everything and responded back that we were good to go and they would see us Friday morning. We arrive and the girl at the front desk said they had just looked at the paperwork and there was one thing missing. Needless to say after driving 45 minutes we were a little upset. We contacted the vet and were told that the dog hadn't had the booster yet because they didn't require it, however, Pet Paradise did require it. So four days after them telling us everything was fine and we were good and I drive we had to turn around and go home with our two dogs. Neither one was able to get their spa day in the plans that my family and I had made obviously had to be scrapped as well. When we sent the paperwork and asked him if everything was there, would it really have hurt for them to rather than respond that we were good to have actually looked at what was there to make sure we were? I brought my 3 dogs in for a 3 night stay. I had made reservations to include nail drimmel and an exit bath for all 3. I picked them up today and they didn't get their baths and nails drimmeled . I was told during a tour that any staff member is capable to do a bath on the days the groomer isn't in but not any other service. When I asked why they weren't bathed, I was given a blank stare and a response of "I don't know why?" When asked why their nails weren't drimmeled their response was "our groomer went into labor earlier." I asked if they had a backup groomer or someone else who knows how that could've done it. Again, blank stare. I was told during my tour that their blankets, as long as they are small enough, will be washed. Their blankets are dog blankets purchased at a pet store and not a bed blanket. All 3 blankets had not been washed. That's disgusting. Although they have webcams, the one I could get a wide angle view is barely viewable as it's foggy. The webcam in the indoor kennels has a view of the side of a wall when they are indoors. I wouldn't recommend them for boarding. I read more

We've been a customer for several years however over the past eight months the customer service and care of our pets has dropped off significantly. Most of this is due to the extremely high employee turnover. The current staff is not people or pet friendly as the parent company has very rigid in an effort to increase profits at your pets expense. With several much better options, they should rethink there staff training. read more

Our puppy Dillon stayed here for 5 days and it was worth every penny. You can watch the puppy cams and see your babies while you're away. The outdoor area is awesome, for the big-dogs there is a dog bone shaped pool and a separate very-large outdoor area where they play fetch with the staff and play with other dogs. The staff really enjoy the dogs and easily know all the dogs names there. Here's how you know my dog would rate this place 5 stars - when I pull up in my truck and open the door - my dog is gone! There has been a sharp decline in customer service since they had a management change a while back. The last time when I had an emergency and needed immediate boarding, I had to just show up at another location and hope for the best that they would have space. The rating of one star is based on the facility, which seemed clean on the website and the morning I dropped our two dogs off for a 5 day boarding stay. When I asked about being able to view my pets from the virtual cam, the assistant manager said the cameras were old and may not work with all operating systems. They did send several photos of my pets via email while we were away, so at least they kept us informed of their stay. The dissatisfaction came with the fact that the website does not clearly state that boarding does not include daycare. Had I known this, I would have never taken my pets there (a 30 minute commute). This is beyond outrageous in terms of a reasonable cost for boarding, which consists of just crating the dogs overnight. On top of the price, which was $380 for 5 nights and 2 days of actual daycare ($24), one of our dogs came home with a swollen back paw. She was in perfect health prior to us taking her in, since we had just taken them to the vet the week prior for Boardetella shots, so we are certain that she developed the swollen foot while in the care of the Pet Paradise staff. They did not call us to let us know, which tells me there is lack of attention and care for pets staying at their facility. Since her paw was so swollen to the point that she could not walk on it, we spent another $100, taking her to the vet to be examined and prescribed antibiotics. However, they day I showed up they tell me they will not keep my pets without even more shot records (I had already sent in their records). They apparently couldn't be bothered to call me in advance; instead, they sent an email only 45 minutes prior to my appointment. Who checks email at 8am on a Sunday?!?! My pets had to sit in their crates for 5 hours during my home's open house because of Pet Paradise's poor planning and abysmal service. Will never go there again!!! read more

They all seemed scared of my dog and then after a couple of minutes they told us they could not take him in because he was growling. My dog is a sweetheart but he has very bad anxiety and gets nervous around new people especially in new places. I felt as though they should have done everything they could to make it work because my mom was really stressed and had to make quick arrangements before our trip. They were very nice and had a very nice place I just wish a little more effort was put into instead of simply kicking us out after we had put down a deposit. I have never really written much of a yelp review, and I'm often hesitant to give any business under four stars, but my experience here was awful, and I feel the need to share this story. This was my first experience boarding my dog, ever, and I was horrified at how my dog was treated. The first two days, I saw her playing outside on the cameras, but I was surprised to see that there were no dogs playing in the pool. I had specifically chosen this place because my pup loves swimming, but at least she was getting to go out and play. After those first two days, however, the dogs were strictly inside and I didn't see my dog on the cameras once. I began to check more and more periodically (every hour, at minimum) as the day(s) progressed, and again, she was never out on the cameras. Furthermore, none of the dogs seemed to be playing or really enjoying themselves. They were just standing around in the "indoor play room." Eventually, I called and left two voicemails that went unreturned. I finally got a hold of them on day 5 of my dog's stay, after three days of not having seen her, and after receiving only 2 of my requested 7 report cards. The person speaking told me three things: 1) the dogs were not allowed to play outside when it is over 85º, 2) she was down to "half staff because of the 'flu,'" and 3) because of the short staff, the dogs were kept on short rotations "to let them out." First of all, this is Texas in the summer (early August, to be exact). The dogs weren't let out until around 10 AM, and by then it's almost always over 85º. It's a little absurd to advertise a pool and outdoor play when they literally aren't allowed to 90% of the time. Second, I want to reiterate that it was early August. There is no way "the flu" was keeping half the staff home, which leads me to assume that the staff were contracting COVID and not reporting it, which puts all of the customers at significant risk (I am a healthcare student clinician with an at-risk population, which makes the whole thing much more upsetting). Finally, if they are down to half of their staff, they should limit daycare dogs and focus on those boarding. I was mortified to hear that my dog got to leave her room only on short rotations just "to be let out." The rooms are sizable for sleeping in, but for living in, they're barely bigger than a walk in closet. I had originally requested a VIP room for the camera, but she was downgraded to a standard room, and so I couldn't even check in on her those four days when she wasn't outside. Additionally, the "report cards" I was given gave me no indication that they were paying much attention to her. The fact that it appeared my dog stayed in a closet for four days without much to do makes me sick to my stomach. My roommate picked her up a day before I returned, and sent a video of her when they got home. My dog dove for her water bowl and drank for about a minute straight. I'm not sure if this was due to stress or if they weren't adequately giving her water, but regardless, it was beyond disturbing. When I got home the next night, I found a bag FULL of food, a blanket, and toys that were not hers. They had sent my dog home with another dog's bag, and my roommate wouldn't have known any different. The most upsetting thing about this is that the other dog didn't have any of their food for two days, because it was incorrectly sent home. The negligence demonstrated here is beyond unacceptable. I will be telling others to avoid this establishment for both boarding and daycare. read more

This place is absolutely amazing!!! I started bringing camo here in the summer and he LOVES it! He practically jumps out of the car as soon as we pull up. The staff is beyond sweet. I can watch him all day(HUGE PLUS) they are super open with the parents if there is any issue with your pup that day. And he is beyond tired at the end of the day! Win for mom! My dog has been attacked twice here requiring stitches both times. In last instance, no one even noticed until i picked her up... required 10 stitches. They supposedly reviewed footage and couldn't find anything. At last grooming appointment, groomer cut off her top coat (border collie) which will now take 2 years to grow back. Very disappointed with the way they treated our dog. Our dog is a clean freak and he never pees or poops in his cage. Not sure what exactly happened during the stay here but when we went to pick him up him back after 5 days, our dog had yellow patches on his fur and smelled strongly of pee along with all of his other belongings like his blanket and toy. Apart from all this our dog came back with stomach issues and had loose motions even though we provided them with the food that he regularly eats. read more

After having recently taken advantage of PBR's grooming service, I have to downgrade the facility a bit. We'd gone to another groomer in Allen for nearly a decade, but it was quite a drive and we didn't really care for the business model anymore (all dogs dropped off by a certain time, your dog might be done in 2 hours, might be done in 6) even though our doggies always came out looking fantastic. The prices also were reasonable. It was very easy to set up an appointment, and I was told that appointments were taken in 2-hour blocks. Bring your dog in at 8, she'll be done by 10. Great! Long story short, we had 2 so-so experiences with our puppy and 2 terrible experiences with our older dog. We took one of our dogs in for a bath and cut, and she came out looking terrible. First off, I had requested Miranda but another groomer did the job. I didn't find this out until after the fact, and I had to call to find out if she was done - no one called us. My dog's ears had been neither cleaned nor trimmed, and her paws hadn't even been touched. I assumed all had been done correctly and didn't notice until after I'd left, so we had to take her back in. That was torture for our 12 1/2-year old dog. My husband complained to Brandon, who apologized. The second time we took this dog back in, the correct bath wasn't done and no one bothered to even call us to let us know she was ready...again! After nearly 3 hours I called myself, and found out she'd been done for close to an hour. When I drilled the young lady working up front about what was going on, she gave me an excuse of "There are a lot of dogs back there, it's hard to keep track." WOW. What concerns me now is, when the staff is unsupervised as it seemed to be when I had these experiences, what kind of care is being taken care of dogs there for boarding and daycare? I never questioned PBR until I saw the clusterf**k of excuses and disorganization when it came to grooming. Flukes? I sure hope so, but as of now...I'm concerned about leaving my puppy and elderly dog there for extended periods of time. Also, we've found a new groomer for both dogs and so far, no problems with her. Thank God. read more

(I'm only speaking to the doggy day care) 1) they are very clean- there is no kennel smell and you can tell they take pride in their facility; 2) the staff is amazing, friendly, efficient, and genuinely care about your pet; 3) hours are super convenient and prices are pretty standard but their specials make it even better; 4) they have a daily structure so the kids can play together and get some alone time; 5) they offer ice cream to our little four legged friends- that a special treat; 6) they don't require reservations for daycare; 7) on Wacky Wednesday they offer baths; 8) they know your baby on a first name basis; 9) they have a variety of payment options like punch cards, half days, weekly and daily rates. 10) It doesn't get much better than this. We initially did a free trial day, and were able to watch our pup on camera having so much fun! We loved watching her play with all the other doggies in the various yards, and she was a very happy girl when we picked her up! If I wanted my dog to stay in a kennel for the majority of the day, I could have left him at home for free. Despite taking a tour and asking lots of questions, we were never told that our dog would spend a majority of his day at "daycare" in a kennel and you would limit the playtime. After waiting to see my dog play on the poor-quality webcams for over three hours after dropping him off, he only got to play after I called and asked where he was. If I didn't call would he have been left in a kennel all day? And talk about lack of security, anyone could have walked in and said my dog's name and you would have given him away. I would think a facility like yours would treat your customers' pets as you would treat your own and I find it hard to believe that you would treat your pets the way you treated mine. Okay starting off I had went to look at the facility about 2 weeks ago and set up my profile and get comfortable with the place. I called today to set up their half day appointment and only had one dog in system. Seemed very unorganized and not put together. SECOND THEY SENT HOME THE WRONG DOG........my friend picked up my dogs because I work overnight at a vet clinic myself and needed sleep and I got a phone call saying he had taken the wrong dog home. I was so upset that they could mistake a dog and just send a dog home with strange people. Dogs in their homes could be different and that women's dog could have been hurt or died if my bigger dog wanted to do so. This is unacceptable and I was so upset that all they offered was a week of free day care, they will be lucky if I come back ever. This is something that should be grounds for termination or at least personal apology. The manager couldn't say much other then it never happens, these are my kids and this is an endangerment to their lives. How do I know they won't go home far away to someone else's home ??? After having pet paradise giving me a week free and me trying them again. I told them about my dogs issues with toys and how aggressive he can get and they neglected to listen to me and left a toy out and he bit a employee and now he had to be quarantine for 10 days in a strange place where he could catch kennel cough or anything else. This is neglect to my animal and I refuse to let this slide. read more

Our dog was a regular day-camper and boarder until a few months ago. On the webcam one day, I noticed the dogs playing with a toy but didn't think much of it. Several days later, our dog started vomiting and was very lethargic. When we took him to the vet, x-rays confirmed he had eaten a toy. I called and emailed Pet Paradise and was very respectful in both communications; our vet just wanted to know what the toy looked like, how large it was, etc. so that she could check if it was passing through his system or if he needed surgery (he does not have toys at home). No one returned my call or email. Fortunately, our dog lived through the ordeal, but I called and emailed again, and even emailed the regional manager, again, very respectfully, but wanted to give them a heads up in case a new employee was accidentally giving the dogs toys. I never received any communication back, despite two weeks of trying to reach someone. This was right after the management change, so that combined with the lack of respect for customers, we switched to another camp and boarding facility and have been much happier. read more

Picking a daycare for my girl Emma was no easy job! I visited 4 daycares and even sent her to two before I select Pet Paradise. In the other daycares, I felt Emma wasn't well taken care of. She would come home tired and dehydrated, sometes smelly, and even caught a kennel cough at one of them. Luckily I found Pet Paradise. The facility was clean and the staff seemed attentive to our needs, so I decided to give it a try! I'm SO glad I did! Emma LOVES going to Pet Paradise! From the moment we pull up to PP, you can see how excited she gets!! I love seeing her cute tail wag! I was very impressed when they attendants here called me right away to report that one of my dogs wasn't interested in eating her food. They offered me options like putting a little chicken broth on her dry food. They got her to eat and also sent me photos of my dogs playing with the caregivers. It doesn't get better than that! We have had our dog stay a Pet Paradise in the past, but had her stay at another less expensive place during a previous trip with one conclusion, that Pet Paradise is worth the price to have our pet/family member stay in their care and then return home to a happy dog. The staff are very young yet seem to care about your pets and you get a daily update. The one big concern I had was when I went to pick up my little dogs they had apparently bathed them and then put them in what they called a warming cupboard; and left them unsupervised to dry. This was most concerning as the dogs could have overheated. They where clearly uncomfortable and I told them to immediately remove them. I asked why they could not just blow dry my dogs like they do at any other facilities. They said they put dogs in these cupboards so they can get fully dry. Its absurd! This practice should not be used. How would you like to be left in a hot cupboard? Just be aware. read more
