I almost hate to leave this review... only because they're already so busy, and once everyone knows how wonderful they are, they'll be even busier! But they truly deserve it. We absolutely LOVE this place. We have two dogs (puppies) with completely different personalities. One came in very scared, nervous, and afraid of almost everything. Since going here, we have watched him slowly come out of his shell, become more confident, socialize with other dogs, and actually have FUN. Seeing that change in him has meant so much to us. Our other dog is the complete opposite--he is Mr. Social! The minute he realizes he's going to daycare, he runs to the door and can hardly contain himself. He absolutely loves being there. What I appreciate most is how attentive the staff is to each individual dog's personality. They don't just throw all the dogs together--they really seem to understand them, match them with dogs they'll do well with, and make sure they feel comfortable and happy. The people there are also incredibly kind, caring, and as flexible as they can possibly be, especially considering how popular and busy they are. And honestly, I completely understand why they're so popular--they're that good! I also LOVE that they offer extra enrichment activities to keep the dogs entertained, engaged, and stimulated instead of just having them run around all day. We plan to use them for over night so we wanted them in daycare to get use to the place ..we travel for work a lot and need overnight stays , and I feel so much better knowing my dogs are with people who genuinely care about them. It's very unfortunate because this was our favorite place to take our labs. When it was Woodland Park they took such good care of our fur babies. We just picked up our 12 yr old lab. No one was at the desk and I stood for 15 minutes looking around. The son couldn't be bothered to pause scrolling on his phone and a lady was on the phone in a different office. When he finally brought our dog to us my 3 and 7 yr old kids had to point out that she had deep wounds on the top of her head. They let us walk out the door without saying anything at all. I brought our dog back in and they acknowledged saying they knew about it and that she wanted to play with a dog in the next run and was rubbing her head on the shared fence. It was known for a couple of days but I never received so much as a phone call nor did they relocate either dog, if that's even what actually happened. The placement of the wounds does not match up with what they claim. I took our dog to the vet and they agreed the wounds do not make sense with what they claimed. They had to shave the top of her head to prevent infection and the wounds are significant. Please do not trust your animals with this company. We are now out an extra $100+ for the vet and have had to cancel additional plans while she heals at home. read more

So sad to see a local small business decline after being sold. It was previously WPPR and was fantastic. Now, FML is just that- FML. The new owners only care about nickel-and-diming you (seriously- make me pay to get a digital, non-professional, picture of my pet?! ) and I don't believe they have a true passion for caring for the pets in their care or putting the owners at ease. I do not usually write reviews but felt the need to write this one. We have been taking our two labs here for years. I was a little nervous when I heard they were changing owners. First time using this location. The overall experience was very good. They are easy to find and the facility is awesome! Staff is easy to work with and all our requests were handled. We had three dogs there over a long weekend and a week later they still smell like they were just bathed. The babies seem well rested so they must have had a good weekend at the day spa. Lol. Did long term boarding of 2 dogs and 4 cats while we were moving. Our pick up date kept changing due to moving issues and they accommodated every change with no problems. All of our animals came home happy and not stressed from their time away. We really appreciate the care given. read more

To start, I have to admit that I always made fun of those "dog people" that treat their fellow K9 like a kid... well.. I'm one of them now. My little doberman is our child, spoiled rotten, only gets the best. Thus, saying that Woodland Park Per Resort exceeds my expectations is hard in it's self. The most friendly staff, they know your little child by name. They offer lots of different amenities, from TLC time, ball time, group play, etc. All very reasonably priced. Also, they pair up your little child with other K9s that fit their behavior/personality. My doberman is very anxious, nervous, and timid. But when I pull up to this place, she jumping and winning as she is so excited. For work, I have to leave weeks at a time, but I know she is in good hands, I never have to worry. This is our second stay with them. With the first stay, they bathed our dogs, washed their beds and gave us a full report of each dog we had. We even had pictures of the dogs on facebook. This time, the owner seemed like she just didn't care and wanted them out. They were bathed, but my long haired Eskimo was not dried fully and his hair was left a mess and tangled. I just came home a detangled it. I understand this isn't a grooming place, but the last time, they had fully dried him and he looked presentable. Also, when we got there the first visit, we had to wait for the beds in the dryer as they were washed. Today, the owner handed me dirty beds and said nothing about it. When I asked how they did, all I got was that they did good and had a "report card". Last time, they gave us a full verbal report on each dog we had plus a report card for each individual dog from Hailey's anxiety to food intake. Today I just got one report card for all 4 dogs. Max, our oldest, has a hard time eating. Last time they told us how much he ate each day, if he even ate at all. Today I got nothing. He's is 12 years old and is having difficultly with weight and I have no idea how he did with his food. They normally post pictures of the dogs on facebook, and we didn't get a single picture for the week that we were gone. I just spent $1036. I figure this would have been a lot nicer for the amount of money I just paid for, and the fact that we were handled by the owner at checkout. Our house sitter does a better job of informing and much cheaper as well. Very disappointed and will not be booking again nor will I recommend. Way too over priced for the service. Next time I will go to the one in prosper where they even have cameras in the rooms so I can see how my babies are doing. I understand we have 4 dogs, but if it is too much to handle I would consider making some adjustments. I mean come on. I just paid for TWO rooms for and ENTIRE WEEK. You got a pretty penny out of me. The folks at Woodland Park are fantastic. We have a rescue pooch who gets very anxious in new situations, but she doesn't have any anxious behaviors when we pick her up from WP and doesn't hesitate to walk in the door when we drop her off! As other rescue parents know, this is a big deal. :) In fact, the second time we took her here, she walked right into her "suite" and out the door to the patio before we could even take her leash off. I was relieved to see her so comfortable. The facilities are nicely maintained and the staff are professional and caring. Highly recommend! read more

We left our sweet dog, Sadie, there over the weekend and couldn't be more pleased with how well they cared for her! The staff was very friendly and didn't mind my wife calling to check on her. They gave Sadie her meds with no issues, bathed her, and washed her bedding. She came home a very soft, clean, and happy girl with a cute bandana as a bonus. They seem to truly invest themselves into caring for the animals they are entrusted with. We will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them for your beloved pet. read more

We have been Woodland Park clients for about 5 years, and it is home away from home for our dog, Chloe. She gets excited when we tell her she is going to "camp" ;). The facilities are awesome, and I know she gets plenty of exercise and play time in the yard. Woodland Park's best asset is their wonderful, caring staff. I always trust that Chloe is not only well-cared for when staying there, but is also being loved. read more

10/10 would recommend!! Tried on labor day weekend to board our girls but they were full! Understand why! Our girls got pool time and late night walks. The frenchies had a indoor A/c with access to a 15 ft covered outdoor run. The full suites were booked up, but I think they enjoyed being able to have a little freedom. Staff was awesome and we will definitely be back to pamper our girls! read more

Sadly we did not have a good experience. For some reason they made their own name tags & switched our dog's names. We just found out our cairn terrier gained 5lbs in their care, which is a lot! They were probably giving him our boxer's food & portions! They also came home sick & they hadn't even noticed my boxer was hacking. They'd caught bordetella. I understand the vaccinations don't always work, it's the fact they got so defensive when I reported it & tried to say they didn't catch it there even though our vet said YES they did! read more

Disappointed on the customer service. For years I have paid high dollar to put my dogs in a luxury pet resort and it's been quite the adjustment being new to the area. I put in an online inquiry yesterday and was contacted shortly after they closed and was told they had 1 indoor suite available, I immediately called back and left a message saying I wanted to book it and was happy to provide the additional information needed...I missed a call this morning on my way to work and immediately called back, the person who answered said a dog just walked in and they needed to call me back-i agreed, no problem. I missed another call due to being in a meeting and was told they had a dog run available but no longer the indoor suite, they let it go because they didn't hear back? Call it snobby, but my dogs are used to a certain routine and I don't want to break them of that, plus it's a new pet resort that they haven't been to before. They are spoiled and I like a place that has a TV and additional a la carte activities. Plus, being an avid rescuer-I really feel like you get what you pay for...Maybe I am used to something different, coming from one in Houston that had a reservation specialist and help answering the phones...but considering the back and forth it's disappointing that by 10 am they let my requested suite go, if holding is an issue, perhaps on the reservation request online you could ask for a credit card to hold the reservation. Maybe it's meant to be, reading the other persons review below me. read more
