Just picked up our happy boy from his 5 day stay at Bliss Pet Resort and Spa and I am so pleased with them. Ollie has been in for grooming before and we have had great results- they are easy and convenient with scheduling and work with me to get the cut we want. So we decided to try them for boarding as well- they were so helpful and welcoming at check-in, they took time to answer all my questions and never made me feel like any were silly (He's our baby after all!). After talking to the staff for a bit I felt confident that they truly cared about the animals staying there and he wasn't just a number. They even have cameras we could tune in to and see what the dogs were up to. Ollie was bathed and groomed at the end of his stay, and they called to let me know as soon as he was ready. Pet was given to me wet with urine and feces and I was given an apology because the basic bath was not given, the owner didn't know why. In addition, the dog was bitten on the left ear and one canine went all the way through. He hasn't been eating since I picked him up on 05Jun, continues vomiting and has non stop diarrhea. I was told I would be refunded the value of the basic bath only and not the full stay. I booked 5 nights at Bliss, took the dog in for the first night stay only to find out later that night I contracted COVID, called Bliss the next morning and explained the situation and said I will have someone in my family pick up the dog since we didn't need the other nights but they refused to credit the other nights, I could understand if I wanted to cancel for any other reason but COVID is rather unpredictable, let alone some of the tragic results we have seen from COVID. I feel I need to caution anyone using Bliss Pet Resort. Two weeks ago, I left my dog, Bear, in the facility's care for eleven nights of boarding. My dog has been staying with Bliss for over two years, and the technicians there have always been outstanding. On the second night of Bear's stay, he suffered a serious injury, and I only found out the true details ten days after the incident when I took Bear to the vet for removal of the staples. Dr. Sargent was the vet treating Bear, and he made a point to ask if I felt Bliss had explained to me the gravity of the situation. I repeated what I was told, and he proceeded to tell me that I was not informed. Bear had received a bite from the other dog that punctured an artery in his nasal passage; Dr. Sargent was clear that Bear was very lucky as he could have lost an eye and/or thrown a clot and died. He described to me a bloody scene and how Bear lost significant amounts of blood with every heartbeat. This injury required partial sedation, a hemostatic sponge, and staples. Even ten days past the injury, Bliss had not communicated any of this to me. On the second night of our vacation, I received a voice mail from one of the techs that they wanted to talk with me about an incident. I then found an email in my inbox explaining that Bear had "caught a tooth" by another dog that was there for only playtime; the email stated that they rushed Bear to the vet, and the vet gave him a few staples, pain meds, and an antibiotic "to be safe"; I was concerned that the information did not seem to match the medical care given. It was too late to return the call, but when I called the next day, I received the same story. I was also told that Bliss had covered the $260.00 vet bill. I completely understood that this could happen anywhere and never questioned the incident or Bear's care because, like I said, he has always received stellar care. Completely minor compared to the injuries/lack of notification is that, upon our return, we picked up Bear and noticed we were charged 1/2 of the vet bill. The technician I spoke with explained that she was mistaken in telling me the bill was covered, and I asked for the owner, Nicole, to call me as I had concerns about the owner of the dog who caused the accident having no culpability. For two days, I failed to receive a call from Nicole and was always told she was unavailable when I attempted to call three separate times. Now, I was frustrated, but once I talked with Dr. Sargent that day, my focus and anger completely shifted to the severity of the injuries, and what I felt like were lies. To make matters worse, once I got in the car after leaving the vet, I had an email from Nicole defending the bill and including scanned copies of the waivers I had signed. I was livid that she not only withheld significant information about my dog, but she also took the time to compile and send a defensive email instead of picking up the phone and calling me. I replied that I planned to speak to her in person or via telephone. Only then did she return my call. Initially, she continued to defend herself, stating she didn't know the extent of the injuries before finally saying, "Well. . .would it have made you feel better to have known all the details?" I was just beside myself with the entire situation. We had a lengthy conversation; eventually, Nicole did finally apologize. I have waited over a week to post about this because I am very aware of the importance and delicacy of one's business reputation; however, as time has passed and I watch the reactions of friends who have animals, I realize I would be frustrated to have taken Bear to Bliss and then find out someone had this experience and did not take the time to share it. On the flip side, a young (and I'm sure traumatized) technician, Devin, recognized the urgency, loaded my profusely bleeding dog into her personal car, and assisted him. So my dog Zoey is getting up in age, but she is still spry for an 11 year old dog. I took her to Bliss yesterday and she was fine going in, but when she left she would not use her back legs. I took her to the vet immediately, and after some medication, she is doing better, but still shaky. I'm likely going to take her back for some x-rays. The problem is, Bliss said they noticed her not using her back legs when she came in, and they didn't call me, which leads me to believe she fell off the grooming table or something, and they didn't call me, ever, until she was done. I've only used this groomer once before, but looking around, this lady has a habit of hushing any and all negative reviews. I don't appreciate how this was handled at all, but I want to warn other dog owners in the area that they don't appear to take care of dogs while they are there. Edit: yes, but you should have called immediately, or asked "is this normal?" You have a bad reputation for hurting pets, and I won't make this mistake again. read more

This place was a huge and expensive disappointment. We paid for a room with cameras and gave precise instructions on how to care for our 3 dogs. And I'm not talking overboard, helicopter parent stuff but simple stuff like, one of our dogs eats slowly and they need to be separated because my other is a hoover vacuum and will come and eat the other ones food too. We also gave him medicines to put with the food. Imagine our surprise when 4 days in we check the camera and see that they just dropped the food in the cage and never separated them. So, as expected, our slow eater hadn't eaten a full meal in 4 days. Got on the phone with them only to be told by a young lady attending the phone that if they needed to be separated it was an additional charge per day. WTH?!? I don't think so! I asked to speak to a manager that "fortunately" remembered that she was in when we dropped them so she knew we had given the instructions to separate and they never mentioned any charges then. Of course I was upset! I had a dog with stomach issues that had no medication for 4 days and another who over medicated himself for the same period. All this while you're across the world and can only helplessly watch them not do even half of your money's worth. I don't think I'll even bring my dogs back. read more

Our 1 year old boxer came for daycare a handful of times in the Fall. She really enjoyed it and we loved that she could get water play. Staff was very nice. Unfortunately we won't be back. I called to have her boarded and was told because it had been more than 6 months (it had been 7) she would have to come to in for "retest" and they won't do boarding and a retest in the same day. So even though my dog had been here multiple times and had no issues- she wouldn't be able to board. We have a boxer by the way, so not an aggressive breed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no. Very disappointed. What a way to ruin a relationship and make it very difficult to get return business by making customers jump through hoops. I was debating if i should leave this review or not, but i decided to do so to make others aware. I've been so distraught about this. Took my puppy here for the very first time and was hoping that this would be my puppy's new doggy daycare, but it definitely did not make the cut. The wonderful thing about this place is they have cameras you can access. My puppy was playing in the outdoor yard and the kennel employee needed to transfer the dogs over to the next yard. So instead of opening the gate to let the dogs pass through to the other yard, he took a few of the puppies (one at a time) and threw them over the gate.... one of the dogs happened to be my puppy (My puppy is a large breed pup who is prone to hip problems). When I saw this, my heart just dropped. My puppy stumbled and fell on his front paws but got right back up. He was not harmed, but the RISK was definitely there. Why someone would think it's okay to throw a puppy over the gate to get to the other side is beyond me. Anyways, the manager reached out to me and this was discussed with her. I'm just so sad that I had to see that, and that it was my puppy along with a couple of other ones that had to go through that. This place had so much potential for me, but that one action ruined it completely. If you send your pups here, please pay attention to the live cameras. read more

Every time he gets back he acts really off which I figured he just needs to get use to boarding but this time I added a bath and for him to stay for a total of 7 days. When I picked him up he stunk so bad it didn't even smell like they gave him a bath before it was time for him to go home. I'm not sure if he was taking his vitamins every day because certain eye and skin issues that were clearing up looked like they were coming back. I was quoted for a day and a half boarding over the phone... They did not provide me a written quote upon dropping off nor did they give me a receipt upon pick up. It was't until the bill came on my credit card that I discovered an extra half day charge as well as 25 dollar bath....the same bath they told me was included in an overnight stay when I dropped my puppy off. I've now been into Bliss quite a few times, and I'm totally sold. Each and every staff member is over-the-top friendly and extremely customer service oriented. We went on vacation and i was able to easily watch the doggie webcams 24/7 which is a big comfort to me. My boys came home totally exhausted! Our flight ended up being MAJORLY delayed so we asked if they could stay late on a Saturday evening and they totally obliged! (Surely not something anyone should expect, but I love that I was still greeted with a smile and the same level of customer service.) Nicole, the owner, is so sweet and she seems to have hired an excellent team! I'm not even sure how they handle my bad, bad BAD dogs, but they're great. TIP: If you leave a Credit Card on file, check out is a breeze and they just email you a receipt. Love little conveniences like that because I'm always in a hurry! What a wonderful experience we've had with Bliss Pet Resort's Daycare. In just one visit, we felt like the folks there really got to know our dogs and they even sent us home with report cards on their visit! They have an awesome social media presence, and we love seeing pictures of our dogs during the day on facebook. The building has been completely renovated, and they have the latest state of the art setup. We've had both of our dogs get injured at other daycares, due to aggressive dogs not being adequately pre-screened, as well as improper supervision - so its very important to us to have a place that we know will take care of ours as good as we would. I am new to the area and I didn't have a pet sitter. I had to take a last minute trip. They were able to fit my dogs in. I was required to do a day of daycare for both because they were new. They asked if I wanted to book boarding (because they take a deposit) at the same time I booked daycare. I thought was odd because I thought the purpose of daycare was to see how my dogs would react to the staff. When asked I was told they would board my dog regardless- then why charge me for daycare?- i continued with the boarding because I didn't really have another option. They were their for 7 days - I was charge $20 per dog for early drop off (was not told about that charge) $5 per day per dog for peak season and charged for services I didn't agree to for my dog. I brought extra food when I dropped them off and I had to ask for it back when we were leaving. I wasn't shown the invoice before I paid (I asked if the would use the card on file but I would have been charged a 3% convenience fee - I wasn't charged the 3 % fee when they took the deposit) once I got the invoice via email, I asked the front desk associate to explain the charges she looked something up in the computer and told me to email the manager if I had an issue. She didn't provide any contact information. I called and left a message for the manager around 8 am. I didn't get a response I emailed around 1 pm. I got a response stating the manager would get back to me around 2. I received a call from the manager and this response was ok. He mentioned he was going to give me a credit for the services but didn't provide amount. They missed a nail on one of the dog so he said I could bring him back to finish. My dogs seem happy but I am not. read more

Eric did a very good job with our rescue GSD mitigating some of her anxiety issues, and correcting some basic behavior issues around leash walking and reacting to other dogs. On 1/3 I received a call from my vet informing me they had a pipe burst where my two dogs were set to board from 1/5 to 1/10. On 1/3 i called Bliss Pet Resort to see if they could accommodate my two dogs on such short notice. I gave the person who answered the phone all of the details and she said she would check on their availability and then call me back in 5 mins. Two hours went by and no call back. So i called again and spoke with the office manager. She advised i register the dogs online on their website (the same info i already gave the first time i called) and then call back so they saw them in the system and then could add a reservation for their stay. I registered them in the system and then called back a third time. The person who answered the phone that time set up their reservation and then collected a $130 deposit (the cost of one night for both dogs). As we were about to hang up she then said "you'll need to bring them in before they're boarded to do their evaluation". Meanwhile, its 5pm on 1/3 at this point, and i am dropping them off at 8am on 1/5- so i asked when exactly they need that done and why was it only mentioned AFTER i paid the $130 deposit for their stay. She said the dogs needed to be there 7am til 6pm the next day. I am about to go out of the state and board my dogs for 6 days and now I'm supposed to force them to do an all-day eval the day before i leave instead of allowing them to enjoy their last day home with me? Awesome. That seems like something that should have been brought up BEFORE i paid a deposit. The person on the phone then tells me "well, really the latest you can drop them off is 9am and the earliest you can pick them up is 2pm". I tell her great i'll see her at 9am the following morning. 9am on 1/4 I arrive at Bliss Pet Resort and I am standing in the lobby and i tell the person at the front desk i am here to drop the dogs off for their evaluation. The person at the front desk gasps and says "well i cant take them until we have their vaccine records". Cool, maybe ya'll should have mentioned that in one of the 3 previous phone calls we had, OR grabbed our vets name off the registration you told me i had to fill out and called them directly to get the records instead of expecting me to be a mind reader. So I frantically call our vet and get the records while holding both of my dogs in their lobby as people come and go and the person behind the desk just stands there useless. I give her all of their vaccine dates and they take back the dogs for their eval. I then say to the person at the front desk "i'll be back at 2pm to pick them up, right?" and she tells me "you can come back at noon if you want, we're at lunch from 1230 to 2pm so thats why they told you 2pm". So what you're telling me is the day before i leave my dogs for 6 days straight with strangers you're going to leave them in a crate for 1.5 hours so you can take a lunch and not have me come back to get them and interrupt you? Again, AWESOME customer service. I tell her i'll be back at noon to get them. At noon i arrive to pick up the dogs. Out of the blue the person at the front desk tells me "Okay its $70". I asked for what? Why am i paying $70? She said its for their evaluation. Again, this is the first i am hearing of the eval costing money. She rolled her eyes, shrugged her shoulders and said "well i cant get them til you pay". So i pay the $70, they hand me the dogs, and i leave. I was never called to be told they passed/failed their evaluation. I was never told "they did great, we'll see you tomorrow at 8am for your 1/5 through 1/10 boarding with us". I was told absolutely nothing. On 1/6 my card was charged $530 for boarding, for a business who never advised if my dogs were welcome to stay there, a business i did not drop my dogs off to- a business i wouldn't trust an Ant Farm with. I have already filed a dispute with my bank, but my job will not be done until I inform every single person I know about the terrible experience I had with Bliss Pet Resort, and the clueless, useless people they have on staff. read more

We had a great experience with Bliss Pet Resort after leaving our two pups here for 6 nights. The staff were always friendly and addressed any concerns I had. They were prompt to respond. The facility is very clean and having cameras is a great feature to check on your fur babies. I do wish there wasn't a extra fee for everything. I do feel like the Cameras should be included in each suite and stay at no additional charge. I would use them again in the future and I definitely would recommend. read more

I been in TX for 4 months and this is my 2nd time boarding my pooch Chase for 3+nights. Everything went well. The staff is always polite, caring, and communicates well. Also, you do have access to cameras via the mobile app to see your dog on the playground during the day. That provides a lot of easement for us dog moms and dads. Bliss is the best! My dog absolutely loves going and they take such good care of him!

My dog Ranger had an amazing time at Bliss. I dropped him off for his temperament test and day care. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I love how excited they were to see Ranger. One of my favorite parts about Bliss is that you can check in on your dog all day long with their camera. It was so fun to see Ranger interact with other dogs. There is always at least one staff member with the dogs at all times. They are also broken up into two groups depending on size and temperament. It was amazing to see how worn out Ranger was after his first day. He has been a very high energy pup with very very sharp puppy teeth. He was so worn out, I was actually able to cuddle with and pet him for the first time!! What?? Yes. It's sad but I was so thankful for a tired pup!! I will for sure be going back time and time again. Took my two boxers and one doxen in for grooming. Now I have run a small business before so please read the entire review as this is a good company, they just need some improvement to be a great company. Scheduling - the day I called they informed me that my dogs needed some vaccinations before they could come for grooming. With a recent address change, the vet notice got lost and I was unaware. No problem - made an appt. and had them vaccinated that day. Now the spa stated they needed more than just bordatella. If the spa is going to track my vaccinations, they should be accurate. Arrival for Grooming - this is a suggestion. When trying to upsell items, package the items vs. $3 for this, $5 for this, $11 for this. It is annoying and seems like you are a low end spa. "Oh you want the nails rounded after clipping - yeah that's extra. Your demographic is an affluent one - structure your pricing as such. At no time during the drop off was I asked about pick up. They stated we will call you when they are ready. Ok - it's Monday and like most of your customers, I work 8-5. No problem. Communication - at some point during the day, I received a call from a Prosper, TX. number. I answered and said Hello 5 times during the 20 seconds I was trying to answer the caller. Silence. No biggie, probably one of those darn telemarketers! :) At 3:04pm, I receive a call but remember that working from 8-5? Yeah I couldn't answer. At 3:20, I was able to check voicemail and a gentleman left me a nice but firm message with a reminder that Bliss Pet Spa needs me to pick up my animals within two hours of the services being completed and me receiving a call. "They have been ready since 11:30am". Look, I get it - you have limited space. I returned the call and of course received voicemail. I stated that as I got a call at 3:04pm I would be there by 5:04pm. My tone on the voicemail must have indicated my frustration as when I arrived 20 min later, the lady at the front desk sensed I was upset. "I am sorry about any confusion, we called you at 11:30am and left a voicemail". I stated I never got it. She then stated "well you know sometimes cell phones delete messages." When I pulled up my call history and explained to her that I got a silence call from this number earlier she stated "oh yes we have had complaints about our phone system". Are you kidding me? If you know you have issues, please institute the following immediately: 1) When someone drops off their animals - articulate when they are expected to be picked up - a range is fine. 2) Don't leave messages making your customer feel as if they have inconvenienced you by leaving their animals at your business too long....especially if you haven't set expectations (see#1). 3) When the customer arrives - don't blame the communication breakdown on their phone when you are aware you have phone issues. Finally, if you are going to have a full sheet of priced options (see arrival for grooming) make sure you give the customer a receipt. I paid with a credit card and received no receipt, didn't sign anything, and had no idea at the end of the day what I was and was not supposed to have had completed for services. You have the potential to be a five star place of business, and while one or two things would have been overlooked, this list of errors is going to cost you business. read more

We boarded our lab here back in January and we're returning in February. Our Lab had so much fun she wasn't even interested in coming home. At check out we received a written report card on her activities and friends she made. They play most of the day instead of just being kenneled all day. Our dog Lexi loves Bliss! She goes twice a week for daycare and also gets her grooming done there. The staff is always very friendly, and even when I have special requests like helping with her training by not allowing her to jump on them, or keep her bag to re-use for her lunch, they always accommodate. I've been taking my dogs to get groomed at Pet Bliss grooming and boarding since we moved here 2 years ago and we have been very happy with how are little girls, Lillee & Chloe, have been groomed. When I dropped off my girls last week I was tickled by this boxer coming in was so excited. I asked his mom and she said he loves going there for day care while mom is at work. I have never boarded my dogs before. I had always been concerned about my dogs getting stressed out. I decided to give it a try and was so pleased with the entire experience.
