I took my two pitbulls a couple of weeks ago. I have boarded my dogs in other places before and by far this is the best place my dogs have stayed. I couldn't be happier with the staff and the how the place is kept. I get nightly report cards on how my dogs did that day. I couldn't be happier and I recommend this place to anyone who loves their dog like I do.

Our dogs love going here. Playing with other dogs and workers. They get lots of exercise. We get photos and "report card" on their visit.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but something is going on here. My dog was bitten while doing doggie…read moredaycare on Friday. I don't believe it was playful either. This sounded like an aggressive dog situation. We have gone to this Pappy's for years (even when they were on Ohio), but I can't send my dog back there in good faith. No one from Pappy's has called to check on Summer and when they sent me a survey link, mysteriously, it didn't work they said they were having software issues. Anywho, they took her to a vet Friday after the attack (since we were out of town and she needed emergency care), but they didn't stitch her up. That was no cost to us, but they did still charge us for the boarding that should have been comped. We took her to her normal vet on Tuesday and she had surgery yesterday, stitches and a Penrose drain placed. $1800 out of our pocket. Also, a couple months ago, when we picked her up from getting groomed, she was acting like something was in her eye. The next day I took her to the vet to have that checked, and she had trauma to the eye. I don't know if that happened w the groomer or daycare afterward, but nothing was said to me on pickup and I gave them the benefit of the doubt that accidents happen. Now after this, no more Pappy's. I just don't get the feel that this place is professional and safely managed anymore.

I once thought they were the the best but now consider them amongst the worst. The attitude of staff is non caring at best and cruel at worst. Given the prices they charge one would think your animals are well taken care The last few times and (especially today) when we got them home at 3:30, they got out of our car and peed for nearly 2 minutes. It was clear the staff did not let them out to urinate for many hours. Horrible! The worst part; the dismissive, smug and "I don't give a d**m attitude"of the staff. No smiles, no greeting and no thank you. They are a miserable bunch to be sure. We really don't care about pleasantries but care a lot our about our dogs. For these reasons we will NEVER take them to Pappys again. Advice; you need completely new leadership and fire every one on the front desk staff and likely the people in the back who lock up dogs and don't even let them pee. I will be calling the city of Plano in the morning as an inspection is in order. If you care about your dog, Pappys is last place you should leave them.

As a former employee of one of various locations, I got to see a lot of what goes on in management…read moreand staff. The dog counselors were mostly uneducated teens and the management had 0 care for its employees. One counselor should never be in charge of 25 dogs at a time. Understaffed, underpaid, and most of the counselors didn't bother watching the dogs. While I was there I witnessed many scuffles and many situations that were poorly handled. With nearly 20 dogs in one room with a window, there was a woman walking by the window and naturally all the dogs began pushing and shoving their way towards the window to bark and get a better view. They began getting agitated and I tried to distract them with a sharp loud noise, but according to management this was abuse and I was let go. While working there, management would also consistently fail to communicate with their employees or disregard their concerns about rusty crates or old equipment. I would not recommend wasting your money here as the owner has proven to be cheap and the outside fence is FAR too small for any number of dogs, much less now that the fence is broken. I haven't visited in a while but I hope they fixed that fence at least, but with how cheap the owner was and how he absolutely dismissed my concerns about rusty crates that had sharp edges and broken doors? I doubt he was very fast on it. The user interface for employees is complicated and never properly updated, so you better know every dog by name immediately because the list of dogs is never correct on the website. If you consider getting a job here? Don't. Management is very lackluster in communication and very rarely do they follow up on things they claim will benefit the company. If you consider leaving your dog here, be careful. Please get a tour and get to know the staff first. Different locations have different standards, but for the love of all that is holy please make sure you know what you're getting into and don't buy the package deal unless you KNOW they will uphold it because the stories of people getting scammed out of their package deals is in fact very true. No shade to those who love the dogs, but please management...get better at fixing your systems for employees and customers. Communication is important. It should never take a full week to get back to someone about a simple customer service situation. Thank you for reading and keep your fur babies safe!

My family has been bringing our dogs to Pet Paradise Premier in Plano for nearly 10 years. Over that time they've cared for three of our dogs: Lily, our brindle sweetheart; Nova, my brilliant Catahoula rescue; and now Blondie, our playful pit-husky mix. Blondie currently attends daycare two or three days a week and boards there when we travel. Overall we've had many good experiences. The dogs get exercise, socialization, and the staff clearly knows them well. But the real reason we remain loyal clients is Wendy Hudgins. Over the years there have been a couple situations where things didn't go exactly as expected. Those moments are when you find out what a business is really made of. Wendy has repeatedly stepped in with professionalism, calm leadership, and genuine care. She takes ownership, communicates openly, and clearly cares about the animals and the families who trust them to Pet Paradise. There were times she even proactively called to let us know about something happening so we were never left wondering. That kind of accountability and transparency matters. To be very honest: if Wendy wasn't part of the team, we probably would have moved on. She is an incredible asset to Pet Paradise and exactly the kind of person you hope is looking after your dog. Thank you to the team--and especially to Wendy--for helping take care of some of the most important members of our family.
