My wife and I don't have children. Our 2 Dogs are our kids. We are sooo lucky to have found Pets are Inn owned by Donna and Al. We have used them to help care for our animals for over 10 years for various reasons...vacation, Work duties taking us out of town and emergencies. They are the Best. The host family cares for our kids just like we do and like the dogs were their own...with attention to detail. Alta is a dream to work with. Example: I fell and injured myself in a hunting accident 12 days ago (real story). I had emergency surgery at Baylor Frisco. My wife couldn't be at the hospital with me as a patient advocate and take care of the dogs. I said to call Al. Have the dogs go to CAMP. Alta picked them up after we made the call, and I knew they were well cared for. My mind rested easy and I can recover. The girls, a Boston Terrorist (Sallie Mae), and a half Boston Terrorist & half Rat Terrorist (Jenny Lynn) are coming home today at 12:45 pm to be reunited. I just couldn't get over not knowing where my precious fur kid was going to be as we had been using a facility that had cameras. But I finally broke down and gave them a call. We have been using Pets Are Inn for over 7 years now. We are so gratefull to have found such a loving place for our dog while we are out of town. Each host family is carefully interviewed and selected and they do their very best to pair your dog up with just the right caretaker. Their customer service is top-notch- from scheduling in a timely manner to being on time with their delivery van. It's convenient, it's personal and it gives us great peace of mind knowing our beloved dog is in the hands of loving people! It isn't inexpensive, but either is boarding your pet at 'doggy daycare centers.' Hands down, it's the best value for your money if you want the highest level of care. We've been using Pets Are Inn for over 15 years and can't say enough good things about them. We are rescue-dog parents so it's never an option to board them as these pups have lived in cages prior to rescue so we don't want to stress them any further by leaving them at a boarding facility or vet. Donna and Al, along with their caregivers are compassionate folks who understand the needs of all of our dogs and always place them in the right home during their 'vacay'. We have used Pets Are Inn to care for our two dogs for 4 years now, and they are wonderful! We originally found them on a neighbor's recommendation after one of our dogs was consistently sick and depressed after boarding, even at an open ranch type of facility. With Pets Are Inn, they get the comfort and care they would get at home, and undoubtedly some extra spoiling too! They start getting excited when we move their dog beds by the front door, because they know that means they're going on vacation, LOL! We recently left our cocker spaniel in the care of Pets Are Inn. We had previously left him in a kennel, and although they gave him excellent care, he came home stressed and wasn't himself for almost two weeks after our return. When we returned from our trip where he was with Pets Are Inn, he was his old self immediately upon coming home. We then received a card from the woman whose home he stayed in, saying how well they had gotten along and that she would be happy to care for him again. I just boarded my very pampered dog, Charlotte, with Pets Are Inn. It was the first time she had stayed with someone other than family, and I was a little apprehensive as to how she would do. I needn't have worried; she came back today and was happy, healthy, and even cleaned up! I love that Donna and Al meet with you and your fur baby ahead of time and take detailed notes on exactly what your needs and expectations are. Charlotte was placed with the perfect person for her, and I was given updates while we were gone. Their pick up service was prompt and reliable. I'm so glad I found Pets Are Inn. I tried to take my dog Lucky everywhere with me but this time I couldn't and I don't like leaving here in any boarding. I saw their reviews online and when I contacted them the service and attention was exceptional. My dog stayed with them for 4 days and they kept communicating on how she was doing and sending me pictures. When Lucky got home she was happy not depressed like dogs come out of boarding places. I recommend PAI 100% and as my Lucky gets older it will be harder for her to travel so now I feel I can trust someone to watch her. read more

I have been using Pets Are Inn for several years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have never wanted to put my dogs in a kennel and when I found Pets Are Inn back in 2008 I was so happy that I knew my dogs were going to a home with people who love animals. They always come back worn out from all the attention they get. The pick-up service is very nice and always on time and very helpful in getting my dogs and all their "stuff" loaded in the van. Donna and Al are very caring as are all of the pet hosts who have cared for our little schnauzer. This is so much better than a kennel as she gets a lot of love and special attention.
