I hate to leave bad reviews, but something is going on here. My dog was bitten while doing doggie…read moredaycare on Friday. I don't believe it was playful either. This sounded like an aggressive dog situation. We have gone to this Pappy's for years (even when they were on Ohio), but I can't send my dog back there in good faith. No one from Pappy's has called to check on Summer and when they sent me a survey link, mysteriously, it didn't work they said they were having software issues. Anywho, they took her to a vet Friday after the attack (since we were out of town and she needed emergency care), but they didn't stitch her up. That was no cost to us, but they did still charge us for the boarding that should have been comped. We took her to her normal vet on Tuesday and she had surgery yesterday, stitches and a Penrose drain placed. $1800 out of our pocket. Also, a couple months ago, when we picked her up from getting groomed, she was acting like something was in her eye. The next day I took her to the vet to have that checked, and she had trauma to the eye. I don't know if that happened w the groomer or daycare afterward, but nothing was said to me on pickup and I gave them the benefit of the doubt that accidents happen. Now after this, no more Pappy's. I just don't get the feel that this place is professional and safely managed anymore.

We've been taking our dogs to Pappys for years, but the quality and attitude of the staff has…read moredeteriorated and now become intolerable. I once thought they were the the best but now consider them amongst the worst. The attitude of staff is non caring at best and cruel at worst. Given the prices they charge one would think your animals are well taken care The last few times and (especially today) when we got them home at 3:30, they got out of our car and peed for nearly 2 minutes. It was clear the staff did not let them out to urinate for many hours. Horrible! The worst part; the dismissive, smug and "I don't give a d**m attitude"of the staff. No smiles, no greeting and no thank you. They are a miserable bunch to be sure. We really don't care about pleasantries but care a lot our about our dogs. For these reasons we will NEVER take them to Pappys again. Advice; you need completely new leadership and fire every one on the front desk staff and likely the people in the back who lock up dogs and don't even let them pee. I will be calling the city of Plano in the morning as an inspection is in order. If you care about your dog, Pappys is last place you should leave them.

I can not recommend this business! I dropped off my Golden Retriever for a BATH ONLY!!…read moreThat's what I ordered on-line and confirmed verbally at drop off. BATH ONLY!!! I picked him up and he had been de-shedded, nails AND his paws were trimmed!!! Some customers might be happy about getting a service they didn't pay for. If the de-shedding, nail and paw trim was what my dog needed AND it was a job well done, I might feel differently. But that is NOT the case! De-shedding issue: My Golden does NOT have the long, flowing "typical" Golden fur. His is fur is fine and short, it just doesn't grow much and does NOT to be de-shedded!! It finally had just gotten long enough this past year that it layed down. Now, it's sticking up every where, gets tiny tangles, is a shaggy mess! Nail trim and Trimmed paw issue: When I say, they trimmed his paws, you can see where they just snipped the "grinch fur" sticking up on the top of his paws, not that they did a nice trim job and blended the fur etc. Some Golden owners might not like the "grinch feet" but I am not one of them! The nails didn't even need a trim, now they have jagged edges!! The paw trim was not a job well done and was NOT a service I asked for!! My biggest issue though, is getting a service I DID NOT ask for or want!! WHY were grooming tools even near my dog when I ONLY ordered a basic bath?? I have sent an email asking a manager or owner to call me to discuss this. I have also called multiple times asking to speak to someone in charge or call me and nothing!! It's been a week now, No response to my email and no call back. So this is my first negative review EVER! So at this point, all I can say is, DO NOT GO HERE if you want any level of professional customer service or if you want any service that is what you asked for and looks good!

I'm disappointed with our experience at Wag Hotels Richardson. I was really looking forward to…read moreliking this facility because the tour was great and the staff/customer service were all very friendly. Unfortunately, after a one-week stay, one of our dogs came home with kennel cough and the other with Giardia. The vet visits, testing, and treatment ended up costing us about as much as the boarding itself. I understand illnesses can happen anywhere dogs are grouped together, but having both dogs come home with separate contagious illnesses makes me seriously question the cleanliness and sanitation standards here. I just want other pet owners to be aware before booking.

However, I have had a couple issues. I think it was in April when my dog came running out to me when it was time to go home. Usually they would carry her out to me. The entry way is large and open. The door is often unlocked and people are in and out. I was upset that she could have run off before I could catch her. I asked if they could please not let her run free to me. Either put her on her leash or carry her . He asked me why and told me it was no big deal. I said it was to me. He shook his head but the partners agreed they would do it. Today she came running out again. He was on the phone and just let her run out. It was close to closing and people could be coming for their dogs. When he finally hung up the phone l told him it was not alright that she was loose. He said he was on the phone and she slipped by him. Again he said it was no big deal I told him I wanted a refund on the remainder of the package I had paid for. I couldn't take a chance of it continuing to happen. He got his partner. Neither of them ever apologized and she just said how busy they were and they were one the best at what they do. She said it was a mistake and people make mistakes. I said yes, she acted like she understood However, he repeated it wasn't a big deal. When she then agreed with him I decided then and there I was done and wanted my money back. Mistakes happen but attitude to someone upset about their family pet is unforgivable. Then she said that if they refunded my money they would not let my dog back. I said why would I bring her back‼
