We loved Grand Paws and Lisa! Lisa did an awesome job taking care of our dog Charlie. And with staying in communication with us while we were away. She would send us pictures of Charlie on his walks and keep us informed of his behavior. She said Charlie was a very sweet boy and really enjoyed the time spent with him. She also brought in our mail which we really appreciated!! We 100% trust Lisa and Grand Paws with our Charlie and will be happy to have them back for our next trip! P.S. After we came back from our trip, that day, we would catch Charlie randomly staring at the front door almost as if he were waiting for Lisa read more

I've been a client of Grand Paws Pet Sitter since 2017. My cat is now over 15 years old and when I'm away from home, Dana gives him the most loving care. She gives him his pills and insulin twice a day. She will stay overnight with him and has even taken him to a vet appointment when I was out of town for a family emergency. I feel so comfortable with Grand Paws Pet Sitter in my home and taking care of my fur baby. read more

We have been with Grand Paws Sitter for over 20 years. Dana and April are always flexible and available to take care of our dogs when ever we go out of town. We have a special needs dog Trevor. He is blind and has lost his ability to use his tongue due to a brain tumor. Dana and April have been able to care for him and feed him without any problem. Our dogs are always in good hands with them and they get excited every time they see them. read more

I recently contracted with Dana for pet sitter services for my cat over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I'll start off by saying I was apprehensive of leaving my boy with a stranger (my first time). Dana put my mind at ease when she came over for a meet and greet prior to the trip. She's very easy to talk to and you can tell has alot of experience and most importantly, a noticeable love for pets. I'm happy to report that I got to enjoy my vacation knowing my boy was in good hands. She sent me pictures and videos each day and I can tell they were both comfortable and happy with each other! If you're looking to get away and need a sitter, most definitely consider Dana! I'm sure the rest of her staff are equally good as I can imagine Dana expecting no less of her staff! Thanks again Dana! I'll be reaching out for my next trip! - Isao read more

We had a month long trip and little time to prepare for it. Grand Paws came thru for us. Dana was very professional and knew exactly what to do. April, the sitter, was excellent. She came over every day, played a bit with our cat, collected mail and packages, watered our potted plants, and sent us pictures every day of our pet. We will use Grand Paws Pet Sitter again for short and long terms, for peace of mind, we won't have to worry about a thing while we're out. Thank you Dana & April! read more

Dana is a true professional who genuinely cares about pets and I recommend Grand Paws highly. I am searching for a way to board my four dogs so I can visit my first grandchild next month for the first time. I'm at my wits' end trying to get them all safely boarded somewhere near my home in Dallas. I was able to get reservations at my popular vet's boarding facilities in Sachse but I drive a small car and hoped to pay a "taxi" to deliver them. I found Grand Paws Pet Sitter by doing a search for "pet transport." Dana replied quickly but I didn't see her voice mail until the weekend. I texted her that I would be calling on Monday. Dana replied to my text immediately and encouragingly. She explained that I'm outside her area, but she also recommended three other similar services that are right around the corner from me, which I'm going to call Monday. I hadn't considered having in-home visits, but these may actually be preferable and more practical for a couple of my dogs. I just wanted to take a moment to recommend Dana and her service. I wish her all the success in the world; she deserves it. read more

Dana was amazing! I've had my dog Kali for almost 7 years, and I have never had anyone outside of my family watch her, so needless to say I was very apprehensive about going online to find someone to take care of my baby. Aside from worrying about how my pet would be treated, Kali is over 70lbs, so wondering if someone who isn't use to her strength could handle her also worried me. Dana came by a few days before to meet Kali and I and that visit really put me at ease. During this meet-and-greet Dana was very attentive to even seemingly small details, and she asked lots of questions that I wouldn't have even thought of discussing. Throughout my time away Dana was accessible via text and calls, and she sent tons of pictures and videos from her drop-ins. I've posted a few of the photos to this review, and as you can see, Kali had a great time. I was so happy with this experience, that I've already booked another trip, and I've booked Dana to come watch Kali for 5 more days starting next week. I'm very happy that I tried Grand Paws out, and I'm happy that I've found someone who I can trust, and who Kali lovesssss! read more

I found GrandPaws after a long search of local companies and some of the gig work apps, that turned out to be unreliable and inconsistent. My husband and I were preparing to leave for a long trip out of the country and I was very nervous to leave my babies. I can't say enough good things about GrandPaws, Dana, and her team! I originally thought I needed overnights for my dogs, but after talking to Dana, she encouraged me to change my request to multiple daily visits for my peace of mind and also to save me (a lot of) money. We were paired with Lisa, who is absolutely phenomenal! We have a camera set up in our living room to check on our babes, and I only checked it four times during out 11 day trip (the first was when we were at the airport)! We did a meet and greet with Lisa before we left and instantly felt at ease. The way she interacted with our high maintenance dogs left us with a really calm and hopeful outlook for this trip. Lisa took such great care of our fur babies, they were SO HAPPY and comfortable with her. She came as scheduled, fed/watered/played/walked/snuggled the dogs, administered meds, rotated lights and blinds, watered plants, brought in the mail, and sent video and pictures with EACH visit. When we returned home, our house was exactly how we left it, our dogs were happy and healthy, and she left us THE SWEETEST drawing of our babies! I don't typically leave reviews, but understand the importance of supporting small, locally owned businesses - and I was honestly blown away by the care, customer service, and communication we received. We have already told Dana and Lisa they are stuck with us for life and have booked our next services to ensure our babies are cared for and loved on in the same way we take care of them. If you're on the fence or worried, don't be. Dana takes pride in the fact that her company has background checked employees who have been with her for years and years and years. They are licensed, insured, and bonded as well as trustworthy, reliable, professional, and beyond caring. I am so grateful to have found this company! read more

Oh my goodness! I cannot say enough about Dana. I have a regular sitter who could not sit for me and I needed someone just to come by 2 times during the day since we had to go on a quick day trip. I have an elderly dog with some minor health issues. Dana was so kind and said she would help me out and do it herself. She already had a busy schedule. You can tell that Dana loves animals and her profession. Not only that but she is very knowledgeable in the care of elderly dogs. I received an update complete with pic or video after the visits. Shasta seemed to really enjoy her. I will most definitely use Grand Paws again and highly recommend them. read more

Grand Paws Pet Sitter - Pic from Dana! Love seeing my puppy while I'm gone. - Dog Walkers Near Me - Plano, Texas

I have been using Grand Paws Pet Sitter since mid 2022, about 5x since then for a total of probably 25 days, and they have been wonderful! I initially found them after an extremely rushed search to find a sitter in DFW for a newly rescued puppy who was too young to board. At the time, I had very few options besides cancelling the trip, but when I explained this to the owner, she was able to squeeze her into the schedule. What I like most about them is they truly care about my dog, They send updates and photos/videos so I know she is doing well and happy. I had several requirements that I needed the pet sitter to adhere to and they have been extremely understanding and easy to work with every time. I have had nothing but great experiences with this pet sitter and have recommended them to personal friends. I'm so glad to have found them and wouldn't even consider boarding my dog in the future. Thank you guys for a great job every time! read more

I cannot say enough amazing things about this service! Dana took the most amazing care of my two cats Bartholomew who is 19, and Lucy who is one year old. Bartholomew is stage one kidney disease and requires subcutaneous fluid treatments every other day as well as a special diet and pills in the morning and night. I was so relieved to find a pet sitter who can administer the fluid treatments at home rather than packing him up and stressing him out with another trip to the veterinarian! She checked in with me daily, sent me photos and videos of my fur babies, and I think they both fell in love with her! thank you so much Dana for loving my fur babies the same way I do! read more

Dana McKool, the owner, was great! Our previous pet sitter spent two minutes in our home feeding our cats. This is not the case with Grand Paws. Our cats were as pampered as skittish cats can be, and a special bonus was receiving videos of Dana singing with our parrot on every visit. We have an upcoming trip planned and are looking forward to having Grand Paws take care of our pets again! read more

Absolutely THE BEST pet sitter you will ever have... Dana and her team are fabulous! You'll find their true love and passion for animals to be very apparent. Not only are they great with animals, they are extremely responsive to your needs and any special needs of your pets. Each day we received a short video of ones we left at home, which gave us the reassurance of the great care they were receiving. And much to our surprise, our yard was picked up upon our return. Plus, we found a detailed rundown of how things went while we were away. Unparalleled love, attention and customer service! We would highly recommend Grand Paws Pet Sitters to everyone! And our sitter took the best photo I think we have of this guy! Thanks so much! read more

We recently used Grand Paws in home pet sitting after using boarding facilities for 20+ years. Dana and Tracy did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs. This was Tracy's first assignment and she was EXCELLENT. She texted us after every visit, sent pictures of every visit and did a face time visit so we could see our " fur babies " Dana and Tracy were super accommodating when we had to unexpectedly extend our trip. I told Dana that Tracy should get " rookie of the year honors " for doing such an amazing job on her first solo assignment. Tracy went above and beyond, watering our plants and " pool sitting " as well as taking extraordinary care of our precious pups. I highly recommend recommend Dana, Tracy and Grand Paws Petsitting, since they are professional, committed, caring and love pets. read more

Dana took care of my two teenage kittens while I was out of town for a long weekend. She went above and beyond all expectations, not only feeding them and cleaning their litter box but also playing with them and keeping them company. She kept in touch regularly and sent photos and videos of my boys. They have a new auntie now! These people truly have passion for the animals and I couldn't recommend a better service. 11/10 read more

We used Grand Paws this past week and can't say enough good things about the kind, caring service we received from Claire and Dana. We normally board our little senior dog Penny, but she was diagnosed with vestibular disease (dog vertigo) three weeks before we were going to travel for a week. We scrambled and did a lot of research and found Grand Paws. Dana, the owner, was so kind and accommodating and we were able to have Claire visit twice during the day and then Dana stayed overnight with Penny. The minute Dana came to meet Penny and pick up our keys, I knew Penny would be in good hands. Dana spent extra time going over all of Penny's needs and habits, making sure she had correct phone numbers and contacts, and said they deal with all sorts of requests and not to worry. The very day we travelled, we started receiving texts, videos and pictures updating us on Penny. We could see how happy Penny was and it was very clear how much Claire and Dana were loving on our spoiled doggie. We will absolutely use Grand Paws in the future and highly recommend them read more

Dana and Kit are the best in the business. My elderly mom had a lot of reservations about having a stranger in her home tending to her precious fur babies. After speaking with Dana and meeting with Kit, she put those concerns at rest. There were four crazy mutts to care for and Kit followed every detail in making sure they were well cared for in our absence. Thanks to Grand Paws, my mother will have the peace of mind to take more trips. read more

Wow, this is a terrific business! I've used pet sitting services before, but not one as meticulous and detail-oriented as Grand Paws. First, there's the information gathering. They not only want to know about your pet, but they want to know about you! Next, before they'll launch into just feeding, watering and cleaning, the owner makes sure that the person caring for your fuzzy family is up to speed on everything. Where's the extra food? The paper towels? Where does he like to hide? What's his favorite games and activities? Very comprehensive. I felt reassured right from the start that my cat, Radar, was going to be well-cared for. This first time using Grand Paws, I was delighted to learn that the owner of the business, Dana, was going to be personally caring for Radar. Radar is a people cat, and he always has had me or my son around. I was nervous leaving town for the long Thanksgiving weekend. But with the start-up service I described above, I just knew Radar was going to be ok. During our time away, Dana sent me daily text messages, with pictures, video, sound or all three, showing how Radar was enjoying his time with her. That was so reassuring and mind-relieving, I can't even describe it. When we got back, we didn't have a nervous, angry cat -- we had a relaxed, well cared for critter. He seemed a bit disappointed that it was "just us" and not his new friend, Dana. I can heartily recommend Grand Paws to anyone who needs a bit more than just feeding, watering and walking (or scooping) to be OK with the situation. I'm so glad I found you guys!! Radar is glad too!! read more

I've used GrandPaws in-house pet sitting twice already and plan to use this 5 star service again. Not just because they get all the basics of feeding, exercise, care and companionship just right, but also because of all the extra consideration taken by the staff to ensure the safety of my pets and the security of my home. Let's face it - having strangers going into your home when you're not there would make anyone a bit anxious. Dana (the owner) took an extraordinary amount of diligence and care to explain all of her policies around home security, the security of her staff and my puppies. The staff will also bring in mail, packages, water plants and feed your fish! I'd choose GrandPaws in-house care over crowded kennel anytime. read more

If you are wondering who the owner of Grand Paws Pet Sitter is, and whether they would be right person to entrust with your pets...well, let me put your mind to rest: Dana IS that person! My first experience with Grand Paws was unique. We were planning a week's vacation with my family, to include my parents. My mother (who was just recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's) has a very sweet Bengal cat named Stella. As my mother's illness has progressed, Stella has become more of a therapy cat. Stella means the world to my mother. So much so, she will rarely go out of town for even one night because she is worried about leaving her. It was important to us that my mother have a wonderful time on our family vacation, and to not be in a constant state of worry about her Stella. Enter Dana! My very first conversation with Dana immediately put my mind at ease. First of all, Dana understood what we were going through on a very personal level...her mother had also had Alzheimer's. I felt heard, and understood. On top of that, my parent's house was well outside of Grand Paws coverage area, but Dana made an exception for us, and took care of Stella. Before our trip, Dana came over and met with me, my parents and Stella. She bonded with my mom right away, earning her trust (Stella, too)! While we were on vacation, Dana sent us daily updates about Stella, including photos and videos. My mom looked forward to the daily updates, and was able to pick up her phone anytime and be reminded that Stella was in good hands. We owe our vacation, full of happy memories, to Dana...she was truly a Godsend! read more

I would echo the positive reviews for this business. Similar to another reviewer, I have not used Grand Paws for my puppy because there wasn't a sitter available in my area. I was impressed that Dana personally called me back (and very promptly btw) to let me know she didn't have availability in my area but referred me to a trusted alternative pet sitting company. It's so hard to find someone you can trust with your fur family and I was anxious about the whole process. But, thanks to Dana I have found someone great and truly appreciate her willingness to help. She clearly went above and beyond! Thank you Dana! We have used her pet sitting services on and off for the past 10 years at various homes we have owned in Plano and Frisco. Her and her staff are always professional and knowledgeable. Our dogs have always been well cared for. The peace of mind is priceless! We will now use her house sitting services as well so we can rest assured our home is in good hands! We are 10 year happy customers! Mary read more

We used Grand Paws for the first time last week. Lisa was wonderful!! She loved our fur babies like they were her own. She came to meet the dogs a few day before our trip. She was gentle and kind. She did not rush the introductions. The dogs were relaxed and warmed up to her easily. Lisa's communications while we were away were excellent. She sent texts, pictures and videos to demonstrate that the girls were doing well. On our return, we found a lovely note with an awesome sketch of all three dogs. Thank you Lisa and Dana! read more

I am not one to review companies, but Grand Paws went above and beyond for us. My story is a bit long so tldr: Grand Paws pet sitting service went out of their way to watch our FOUR dogs with less than 72 hour notice even though we were first time customers. To start, our family purchased two new pups in March this year. After we suffered a loss in our family, we had to make arrangements to travel without our four dogs. I assumed we would board them as we normally do; however, I realized at the last moment that we would not be able to board the puppies as they are not yet fixed. First, I considered Rover. I felt uncomfortable with this though because you never know what you will get with "gig work" apps. You could get someone great, or you could get someone who does the bare minimum. And who would I deal with if something went wrong? Someone far away from me and my worries presumably. So I looked into companies who employed their dog sitters and were local. Needless to say, with four dogs needing a minimum of three visits a day, the price was stacking up. That's when I found Grand Paws and Dana. I filled out a bit of info online and Dana (the owner) reached out to me the same day within hours. She spoke with me for over an hour listening to my concerns, what I was looking for, and what my dogs needed. It was tall order to say the least; four dogs with four visits a day since the puppies need to potty and be fed frequently. With less than 72 hours until we departed for the funeral of a family member, Dana was able to commit to helping us - even if it meant she herself, the owner, would have to step in! Luckily, one of her employees, Lisa, had space in their schedule for us. Let me tell you, Lisa was amazing. It was a hard time for us in general - a death in the family, four dogs needing care, and leaving our new puppies for the first time. Lisa was such a comforting presence and really made me feel at peace with leaving our dogs behind while we took time to grieve. She sent us daily updates, pictures, and videos. She mastered the complication of juggling four schedules for four dogs, and when she realized she couldn't give our dogs the attention they needed with 30 min visits, she made the time to give them 45 min visits for a minimal fee. Lisa and Dana were both extremely thorough in their care for our dogs, and it gave my family the time and calm we needed to say our final goodbyes to our family member. When we arrived home, there was a note waiting for us with adorable sketches of each of our dogs that perfectly captured each of their unique personalities. The welcome home note was such a kind personal touch from Lisa. I cannot stress enough how this company stepped up to the plate for us without even having an existing relationship with us or our dogs. So if you are looking for a fairly priced, thorough, committed pet sitting service, Grand Paws is the first place you should look. They are the only pet sitting service my family will ever use again! read more

In full disclosure I have not used Grand Paws Pet Sitter to pet sit my puppy, if I could I would. I'm writing this review based upon my experience with Dana McKool the owner of Grand Paws. I reached out to her to arrange puppy services with visits twice a day, Monday - Friday. Dana gave me a call and informed me that she didn't currently have someone in my area that could do the puppy services but she gave me a list of reputable pet sitting companies (she knew the owners of many of the companies) to contact. Dana informed me that she has been in the pet sitting business for over 25 years and for me such longevity in business means you must be doing something right. The fact that she was honest enough to let me know they couldn't fulfill my request and then refers me to other reputable sitters truly earned my respect and gratitude. So often businesses will over promise and under deliver just to take people's money. The company Dana referred me to is very good so it confirms she truly does know the business! This is rare nowadays. It is for this reason that I highly recommend Grand Paws! read more

LOVE the team at Grand Paws! They are so good with our fur babies! Take great care, send photos and updates! Our dogs love the visits!

Dana has provided my two geriatric kitties a service that has improved their lives (and my own stress level!) exponentially - weekly sub q fluids. The fluids are great, but Dana is the change bringer. She has a way of calming the atmosphere before/during/after their treatment. She knows exactly where my kitties will be in the home, warms them up with cuddles and sweet talk, dispenses their fluids, then leaves them feeling safe, comfy, and stress free... and I don't have to help at all. She really knows what she is doing, and I wholeheartedly trust her with my kitties. read more

Best experience we've ever had with a pet sitter!!! Grand Paws took care of our energetic 70-lb lap dog during an extended road trip this summer, and I can't say enough positive things about their pet sitting services. Dana and April were super responsive, reliable and 100% trustworthy. They provided excellent communication while we were away and treated our fur-baby like he was a member of their own family. Dana is a local treasure. We moved here this summer with a heavy travel schedule, and she helped us in an emergency situation where an unreliable sitter fell through on the weekend before my flight out.
