I have used VIP Pet Services to watch my cat(s) on numerous occasions. I live in Frisco and Hannah is my pet sitter who comes daily when I'm on vacation and scoops the litter box, ensures there's food and fresh water, gives the cat treats and most importantly gives them love. Hannah will send daily text messages along with pictures which makes my heart happy. It's always fun to be on vacation, but it's also always stressful too because i miss the fur baby. I know that at the beginning and the first few days that they're a little bit sad and scared, but after the first couple of days, they seemed to warm up nicely to Hannah. We recently moved to a new part of the metroplex, and as a result had to find a new pet sitter. I was very thorough in interviewing potential companies/individuals to work with. We were preparing to embark on a short 4-day trip but it would be the first time we had ever left our dogs behind and I was very nervous about finding a sitter/company that was a good fit for us. From day 1, VIP impressed me with their level of communication and organization. Their online client portal is easy to navigate and great for checking your schedule, pets info, etc. Nancy, their Director of Client Relations, is incredibly detail oriented, great at follow up, and actually does what she says she will do (a rarity in this day and age!). Our assigned sitter, Amber, took amazingly good care of our pups. Her communication was stellar and I felt the entire time that it wasn't "just a sitter" there watching our pups, it felt like a family member was taking care of them. We were incredibly impressed with our experience. I was very nervous leaving our pets for the first time with someone we didn't personally know, but any worries disappeared almost immediately. Joanne was AMAZING! She communicated so well throughout our time away and sent frequent updates and photos, which truly made all the difference. She was always on time and communicative with any updates or things to note. Knowing our pets were happy, safe, and well cared for allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our trip. I used to work here a while ago. Seems like a good company, nice people in charge, etc. Even some of the other sitters are nice. Their application process is really long. I was on the phone doing interviews/answering questions for about a week. A lot more than I expected. I get that you're going into people's homes and vip has to make sure you're a good fit, safe person, etc. And that the owner's need to be comfortable with the sitters and make sure their dog(s) are in good hands. But holy cow. And a lot of the questions are repeats. They asked me some questions 3-4 times verbally and on paper. I guess they want to see if you answer the same way or if you're not being honest, how much difference in the answers. One thing I didn't prefer is that the company wants you to leave a note at each visit. I don't really like that and all dog owners I know, really like a text for each time you check on the pets and home. That way, they know right away how things are, pets ate good, etc. When you leave notes all week and owners are out of town....they have to wait until they're back to know how things are. Note, they don't tell you not to message owners. There's no rule against that. But wish they'd do away with the paper notes. Not super helpful. It's a good company and I dealt with some really nice owners. But I'm glad I just do private sitting anymore. read more

I'm a new puppy owner and found myself having to go back to the office a few days. I wasn't sure if I should do doggy daycare or find a pet sitter. After much research and consideration, I decided having someone visit my home and keeping my puppy in her familiar environment was the way to go. I contacted a pet sitting company that didn't service my area. However, they were kind enough to refer me to another sitter they knew. Since this was all new to me, I was so thankful for the referral. That referral was VIP Pets, and I am so happy with their caretakers! They even provide both a main and backup sitter! This ensures you always have someone to help that your puppy knows! And Nancy has been so great with scheduling my one-offs due to work obligations, even on the weekends! I am so happy that I found them and can go to work feeling confident that my puppy will be in great care. The sitters are very caring, reliable, and wonderful with my puppy. I use VIP Pet Services because my fiance and I travel quite a bit. We have three dogs and to board them at a pet resort is really expensive. Plus, it is nice to know they will be staying at home and can be on their normal schedule. The first time I used them, we were not happy with the sitter they had lined up for us. She was a young girl and there was a holiday over the weekend and I think she was too hung over to come check on the dogs in the morning of the day we were coming home. I told VIP Pets about the situation and they gladly refunded us for the weekend. My fiance and I both really liked the reaction we saw from our dogs when they met the back up sitter so we requested to have the back up sitter as our primary sitter. Since that switch we have been extremely satisfied. Once thing I wish would change is to have more updates each time the sitter comes to check on the pups. I have to worry during the vacation and ask the sitter how the dogs were when I think the sitter should send a quick text about the dogs, even send a photo. Other than that complaint, their services are great! read more

When you move, there are always so many things that you have to figure out fresh. Grocery stores, hair salons, doctor's offices...the list goes on. I don't think any of those however come close to the anxiety of choosing a pet sitting service. Not only are they taking care of a "family" member, but you're giving someone a key to your place and free reign. I really am glad that I found their service when I moved here from Georgia a year and a half ago. The first time I met my local sitters (a mother and daughter team), they came to my place to meet me and shower my dog (the world's most adorable beagle...honest...totally unbiased!) with the love and adoration he deserves. I instantly felt comfortable and had no problem handing over the keys to my kingdom...er...apartment. They're very dependable and always available, even on short notice. I can schedule a visit via email or online and they're always quick to respond. They leave behind notes to let me know they were there. In a year and a half I've never experienced a single problem or once even thought about using any other pet sitting service. Now that I'm preparing to move from Las Colinas into the city, I'm very sad to learn that I'll be outside their coverage area. They're a wonderfully run business that I highly recommend and wish I could pack them up and take them with me! read more

VIP Pet Services is awesome! I have used them for two years. Recently, I have started traveling for my job and needed pet sitting, especially overnight. VIP offers an overnight service. The two sitters who helped me were wonderful! They sent me texts and/or pictures of my little fuzzbutt daily. It was such a relief to know that my doggy was in great care in the comfort of our home. And, the cherry on the top was I received a follow up text two days later from the overnight sitter checking to make sure everything was okay.
