I have seen him jot down his notes on a sheet of paper, detailing his times, his distance, and other notes. I have also seen him feed the dogs, provide medication, and even spend time being with them. This sounds like well worth the value for his service, as he does not bum around or abuse the television or whatever the house has to offer as some other "professional" petsitters do (according to what his clients tell him, at least). My aunt has even hired him a few times to sleep in the house and provide company to the dogs, and from what I can tell, he even helped clean up the home. As far as personality goes, he is very easy to talk to, is quite expressive, and does not show conceit or arrogance (as he does have a degree in animal behavior).
