I absolutely adore Dr. Hutton and her staff. Everyone is so kind, compassionate and knowledgeable about all things dogs whether you're a novice dog owner or an expert. They have been doing a stellar job taking care of examining my senior dog, Hook, who's had some health concerns. Thanks to them and their medication regimen, his symptoms have been alleviated! Terrible!!! I was a customer for a few years until today. I waited for 22 minutes in the exam room so I let go of the dogs leashes. The tech walked in and apologized due to an emergency they were dealing with. She seemed very tense and one of my dogs is scared at first to new people so he barked at her and she started to freak out. I proceeded to try to tell her all I had to do was grab him and her pet him and then he'll know immediately he doesn't need to be scared of her. She freaked out even more when I picked him up and took a step towards her. Literally started having the start of a panic attack. I put him down and mumbled, "this is f'ing unbelievable". I shouldn't have used the f word, it wasn't out of anger but out of bewilderment. She then yells, "What did you say?" I repeated calmly, "The is unbelievable", omitting the f word. She then says, "I'll be back" and storms out. After a couple minutes, I thought it was best for me to probably just leave. I walk to the lobby, that was empty and another technician walks by and I explained what happened. He was very empathetic. I said, hey, she's probably dealing with some traumatic things back there and I don't want to cause anymore drama. Both my dogs need an update on one vaccination so he suggested, hey, you're here, let's just get that knocked out. I said, okay great. During this time the receptionist had come back from the restroom and went to the back to coordinate the vaccination. When she came back she said, "Unfortunately, we won't be able to do the vaccination because of the way you treated her." There was a different tech in the lobby at this time as well. Hearing this accusation, I said, "What do you mean?!?". Yes, I was defensive and caught off guard. The new tech, starts to come at me with, "Stop yelling at us." and I respond with "hey man, I just got accused of something I didn't do, yes I'm speaking with some emotion, because I'm a human being." He continues to lecture me in an extremely patronizing manner and gets more upset when I point out he is raising his voice, which I said is understandable." At this point the receptionist comes back and says my dog bit the technician. I now respond with outrage. "That's a lie. Show me a bite mark." Everyone is speaking with emotion at this point, and I tell them "I'm outraged because you're accusing my dog of biting someone" now the owner comes out and says I'm the owner please leave. Now I actually raise my voice and start yelling at them and they're yelling back at me. I said f off and I told them they could all go f themselves and now I'm cussing at them. See the difference between accidentally mumbling a curse word under my breath and cussing at someone? She the difference in speaking with normal emotion because you've been wrongly accused and then your dog is accused of biting someone which I TAKE VERY SERIOUSLY and yelling at someone Mr. Patronizing technician with the tattoos? who by the way, was the biggest hypocrite of them all, being extremely rude, patronizing and yelling. Now I blame all of this on the initial technician who had a near panic attack and then proceeded to lie about what I said, and then really lied about my dog biting her. Why didn't anyone mention my dog biting her first? Her lie only escalated when I challenged her initial lie. It was obvious she had dealt with a tragic situation right before coming in and was still processing and I am sorry that happened and really sorry to the pet and owner that's in regards to. At the end of the day, I will own up to what I could have done better, which was including the f word in my initial mumble of bewilderment. I also did not need to yell curse words at them on my way out. They won't own up to what they did wrong. The lies and patronizing being the most notable. They all had a high level of entitlement outside of the receptionist and the empathetic technician who tried to help the situation when I initially tried to leave peacefully. I'm willing to forgive if they are willing to forgive and own up to their mistakes but until then, the owner, lying technician and patronizing technician can all go f themselves... read more

My Dr. was not in, but Dr. Bartels was and agreed to see us. I am forever thankful for this center and love they have shown me and my pets over the years. I highly recommend them. Everything about All Creatures Veterinary Center is 5 stars. The front desk is friendly and very efficient. The whole front listens to what you need and starts the process. The vet techs are caring and gentle but knowledgeable and during intake they ask questions and listen to you which allows them to ask more questions and get an overall idea of what is going on. The vets are all top tier. Dr. Hutton is so caring, efficient and she takes the time to get to know the personality of your pet. She always does what is needed without doing things that are unnecessary. Dr. Hutton is one of the best vets and her focus is on your fur baby, but what makes her one of the best is she also takes the time to know the human behind the fur baby. Last but definitely not least is the groomer. She is so talented, asks questions about your fur baby Every time they go for grooming and does her part to enhance your fur baby's overall health and spa day experience. The whole clinic is full of caring individuals who love animals and take their responsibility to provide top rated care very serious. We have 3 dogs and a Bengal kitten. We started going to all creatures because of location. It's clean and the staff is always nice however, the prices have gone up significantly in the past two years. The vet also kept pushing heartworm medicine for my indoor kitten every time I want in for shots after I kindly said no the first time. She also kept calling the kitten a she after three appointments. No big deal, but come on! It's a rare snow Bengal and you don't know the breed or if it's a male after three visits. Also, during my last 3 appointments it took well over an hour for routine shots. No one was there! It shouldn't take this long. So I sat in their office three different times for hours. We boarded our Lab and English cream over spring break and when my husband went to pick them up, the bill was astronomical. Our English cream was bit on the ear in play time by another dog and they charged us for the antibiotics, they also decided to do Kings yearly checkup and shots because they were coming up...in June! This was March. They charged us for that. All these extra charges or services were not discussed prior or approved by us. My husband complained so they refunded the money they charged for the medicine that was prescribed because of someone else's dog. Sweet people but not a good fit for us. Time to go back to our old vet across town. read more

We just moved to Texas and had an emergency with our 10 month old Pug-Tiffany. thank God we found All Creatures Vet....Dr. Middendorf. We told the staff the issue we were having with Tiffany and Dr. Middendorf and her staff was able to get Tiffany in for an exam. If it wasn't for Dr. Middendorf exam and referral to Animal Diagnostic Clinic Tiffany would never have received the proper treatment. Brought my sick puppy here because she was having bloody diarrhea and they told me not to worry about it and gave her probiotics. Also did a fecal sample and told me she had no worms or parasites. Charged me $180 for nothing pretty much and it took me another vet and researching and deworming her myself to finally fix her. Turns out she was infested with worms and they told me she had none. I took my 2 cats exclusively to All Creatures- one for 10 years and the other for 12 years as recently as 2022 up until crossing the rainbow bridge. Upon recently receiving a sympathy card for the girl kitty, all of the hand written comments referred to her as "him". The last several times I have called for various reasons, the front desk also said, "him". This might not appear on the surface to be a big deal and instead be a disgruntled kitty mom who is just grieving. But I believe this to be both disappointing as well as concerning. From a detail-oriented perspective, I would expect the patient's file to be read noting details such as sex and age as well as any health conditions as those could all potentially play into the treatment recommendation. From a client perspective, particularly one with a decade+ long history totaling tens of thousands of dollars, I would hope the veterinarian as well as the staff take the time to look at the kitty's file to at least get the sex right in a sympathy card if not remember the kitty solely based on the number of times she was at All Creatures; particularly towards the end of her life. I understand the volume of patients a veterinary clinic sees is likely, at times, overwhelming. But what makes this so incredibly hard and disappointing is thinking you're taking your fur baby to a place that looks at you as more than just an invoice in a revolving door only to deduce through these sorts of actions that you were actually nothing more than that. read more

I have been going here with my 11 year old Chihuahua since he was a puppy. Dr. Hutton is a very caring and knowledgeable vet who always expresses genuine concern for Gatsby's wellbeing. We never feel rushed when we have an appointment! Dr. Hutton and the vet technicians always give detailed answers to any questions that I have. I have also observed how efficient and well managed things are at the Front Desk, where Ginny is truly "grace under fire" when things get crazy busy! I spend far more money on my dog's healthcare than I do on my own, but it is well worth it for the level of care and concern we receive at All Creatures! read more

The response is a lie! I talked to the representative several times that day to combat everything y'all said. Even the rep was frustrated with your company. You didn't even have the courtesy to call the insurance with me to verify anything the rep told me. You got the $45 fee and like the other ppl who have made reviews about you killing their animals, not being sorry but taking their money. I'm lucky it only costing me the $45. Very deceiving practices. I brought my cat here because he wasn't feeling well. They proceeded to tell me they didn't know what was wrong but wanted to do a long list of test and started rambling a long list of cost for test. They kept saying in house lab work, and that it was $180 for that alone and of course about 5 more test they wanted to run which was total about $600 and that did not include any cures for the ailments. When I told them to hold off, I called around to other Vets in the area and everyone else said their lab work would be less than $100. I called them back and asked why their lab test was so much more and that's when they said "oh well we can send it off for $100 and gets results back in two days, but in house we get the results back right away." I was so pissed that they never even gave me that option to begin with considering my cat wasn't dyeing! They are a money hungry. Watch out for their deceitful practices! If they do things like this I doubt they are sincere about caring for your sweet animals! read more

Earlier in 2016, I had to schedule a last minute boarding reservation for my dog due to a falling out with a previous provider. All Creatures was very accommodating and the experience was great. We have been back 3-4 additional times for boarding, and each time the experience has been just as great. The front desk personnel and boarding techs are great. My dog is always nervous during boarding, and they are able to handle him with care and respect. Boarding my dog is a stressful situation for both me and my dog, but All Creatures does a great job at putting my mind at ease that my dog is well taken care of. I am also very happy with the reminders that are sent to show any vaccines or tests that are coming due and required for boarding. I will be coming back every time that I need to board my dog. read more

Unfortunately this review is prompted by sad news. My cat was diagnosed with intestinal lymphoma yesterday by Dr. Watson at All Creatures Veterinary Center. I have been to this pet hospital several times over the last 6 months while we were trying to diagnose her illness. Each visit was good, although I feel the support staff always comes across a little cold and impersonal. I don't recall ever receiving a smile from any of the young ladies at the front desk. Also, while I appreciate the fact that they are computerized throughout the office, after getting the news that I did yesterday the last thing I wanted to do was stand around in the exam room for 15 minutes while the doctor typed everything into the computer. They should have a better way to handle that type of situation. I have a distant background in animal care, so I feel I am able to speak to this feel on an inside level. Prior to 1994 I worked as a veterinary hospital manager. This was a position I worked my way up to - starting as a kennel cleaner and being cross-trained in all fields of veterinary service. Overall, I had 10+ years in the animal care field. I think the doctors are knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Watson appeared sincerely sympathetic and did a very good job of explaining the diagnosis, possible treatments, and prognosis. I might go back to this hospital in the future, because I liked Dr. Watson, but I am just as tempted to look for veterinary care that seems a little bit warmer and kindhearted. read more

There wasn't much to do to help us - but they guided me and comforted me as best they could and gave me honest and good advice. If I could give no stars, I would. They almost made us put our 10 week old kitten down after 2 weeks of having her FOR NO REASON. They diagnosed her wrong and told us we needed to spend $3000+ in procedures for her to MAYBE get better but that we should highly consider just putting her down. At that point we had already spent like $900 on tests and visits. We took her to another vet and they said she was fine and did not have the disease they said she had. We visited All Creatures this past weekend, after adopting our Yorkie, Reggie, from my Mom. Reggie needed some help with a mild infection on his back, some allergy meds for TX allergies (he was a New Englander before) and overall misc health stuff (Heartgard, check-up, etc). I could tell Reggie was in good hands the minute we stepped inside. The staff at All Creatures were very friendly, and very accommodating. Both the vet assistant, and the vet (Dr. Middendorf), were both extremely helpful answering all of our questions, making recommendations, and explaining things in terms we could understand. We also really love that All Creatures offers grooming and boarding services too...a one-stop-shop is quite convenient! I would highly recommend All Creatures to any pet owner that wants great care for their little buddy. read more

We have repeatedly had awful, frustrating experiences with All Creatures Veterinary clinic in Carrollton. The employees are cold and rude, and they seem put out any time I called to make an appointment or dropped my dog off for boarding. They overcharge on medications services. They also charged us for services they didn't provide, admitted to the mistake, but then took several weeks to give us the refund because the person who could help us was somehow never there. I was thrilled to finally be done with them, but here I am again trying to order meds for my dog, and I find out they didn't provide any refills on the prescription for her chronic issue. My husband and I have been looking for a great veterinarian for our two three-year-old german shepherds. It has taken us three years, and we finally found All Creatures Veterinary Center. We called Saturday at 8:30 in hopes to get an appointment the same day. One of our gsd was peeing blood. They got us in as we 'walk in' at 9:30. They were able to diagnose Shiner with a yeast infection on her back and a uti. Angela the technician was great and patient with all of our questions. My male cat is a heathen. And very food driven. So when he didn't eat 2 meals, I knew he was sick. I immediately called to get him in and they told me to bring him right in. They called to confirm what was going on, and told me what they planned for checking him. They kept me informed throughout the day about tests and his progress. All Creatures Staff is very friendly, even when busy or dealing with irregular situations. Last time I was there, there was a building alarm malfunction, and the staff handled it very calmly even though it went on for at least 10 minutes. That would have been enough to frazzle any employee, especially with clients waiting to drop their pets off but they were still friendly and kept apologizing for the wait. If they could stay calm during that, I know they will be kind and patient to my furbaby! I have taken my dog there for annual vaccinations/tests and for boarding, and each time has been a great experience both for me and for my dog. I'm glad to have such a competent vet clinic / pet hotel nearby. read more

I recently changed to this vet clinic because they accept Pet Assure, but it turns out my decision ended up being more than that. I have five dogs and when it comes to their medical care, I tend to have OCD. Dr. Vance and the staff is so patient and friendly with all my questions and concerns. They care for my fur babies so much, when they come home from grooming or Dr. appointments they are so calm and content, which is funny because they are normally hoodlums. Haha. Additionally, thry are quick to respond via telephone and email. I strongly recommend this vet clinic if you are shopping around. I can not recommend All Creatures highly enough. They are very caring and professional. Kristi in the grooming side of things is exceptional. My dog tends to be a bit of trouble and yet Kristi never has any problems and both of my dogs love going to the vet whether for grooming or vet stuff. Unlike some places (both vet and grooming) where my dogs shied away and did not want to go. I think this speaks VOLUMES for the staff and doctors at All Creatures because as we all know, if your dog does not like them then you should not either. read more

We took our cat to all creatures the past summer and were VERY disappointed. Jamie Hutton, the vet told us that our kitty had gingivitis and tartar buildup and that she needed to have a $500 surgery. Thankfully we took her to a different vet (Amanda stokes at Hebron pkwy vet hospital) who told us she's never seen a cat with healthier teeth. This before telling her what Jamie Hutton had recommended. I have a feeling there was nothing wrong with our cat and that she was making this up. Our kitty has no problem eating dry food, which is a common symptom of gingivitis. read more

We first brought our 9 year old cat here for a visit to establish in Tx from Oregon. They were wonderful, friendly and didn't try to sell us a bunch of flea medicine and the like for our strictly indoor cat. We adopted a new friend for the cat - a dog and we brought him in a few days after his arrival. They declared him healthy and happy. Had to wait 30 minutes before I told the receptionist I had been waiting a long time without even a technician coming in. The receptionist was rude back to me and told me there were other appointments going on. I'm well aware you're busy but don't make your clients feel unwelcome and like they aren't important. I've also worked at a vet clinic for a year and not once would we make someone sit in the room without communicating that they were busy and needed me to wait. Once the tech came in, she kept asking the same questions that I had already answered as if she hadn't been paying attention in the first place. Then I had to help the tech restrain my own pet just while she took the temp. She didn't even try to actually do her job other than putting the thermometer in her butt. Very disappointed. I am so happy that I was referred to this veterinary clinic! I have two boston terriers in my family and they were due for full check ups, updated shots, etc. Plus, one of the bostons had developed an infection in both of her ears. The technicians were professional, kind, sincerely animal lovers and cared deeply for each individual pet. The environment was clean, modern, comfortable, and felt very 'spa-like'. The prices were reasonable in contrast of the amazing service and professionalism and highly educated and experienced staff. I have never in my life wrote a review for a company although I do like the phone calls that ask how service was and love to give praises to people who are great. I am a happy positive person and dont like to be negative. HOWEVER!!!!!!!! Be warned I currently as of last week May 23rd went to All creatures to explore new Vet's becuase I love my guys Buddy & Bentley but have always used Banfield and I wasnt them to have the best. Banfield has for the most part always been great but when my little guy Bently needed 14 baby teeth removed their quote was a little high. So this brought me to see whatelse is out there. So I called All Creatures to get a quote and they asked me to come in which I did. The Vet in training came in and was very polite. I told him about the Banfield quote and that I was shopping for a new vet and asked for a quote from them. I specified 3 times that I dont like being upsold everytime I go in a place or have surprises I didnt approve when I pick up. Like all of us our money is meaningful and we work hard for it. So I asked and asked that when he give me a quote it be as accurate as possible. He came back minutes later with the quotes with a low range of 565.00 and high range if I wanted certain things of 778.00. I like the price and told him I would opt out of the more expensive things that were optional and lets set an appointment. I have the quote in hand and today was the appoinment and I even called yesterday to verify everything so no surprises. I get there early and a small wait but no biggie. They bring me in a room to review again and laid a quote down with a low of 950.00 and high of over 1,000.00 which of course is a huge difference. Its not like its just 50.00 dollars I would have paid that but 400.00+ is out there especially after repeating to them the day I visited for the quote that is wouldnt happen. I told the nurse that there is a mistake she left me for 15 minutes came back and basically nothing was done!!!!!!!! In my business if someone especailly someone with authority gives you a qoute and they mess up which they said it was their mistake. Then you would think it would be honored with what I show on paper however it was sorry nothing we can do. Now I have not let my little guy eat since the night before to prep for surgery. I took off the morning from my office which isnt a big deal butthen drove out of the way to be there on time to be told sorry our mistake but oh well....... Dont let this happen to you!!!!!!!
