How do you not visit a place with such a fun name?! My husband and I came to Pescado Borracho and were welcomed by the staff and an ongoing playlist of MJ, Justin Timberlake and Usher. The inside is very modern and clean with bright green and blue colors. The service was very quick and checked on us frequently, and the menu looked very appetizing. There were so many unique taco options, ranging from fried octopus, salmon and tuna to steak, carnitas, etc... many options and lots of variety! Although I wanted to try five different tacos my husband and I decided to share the Pescado Borracho (fried snapper). How can you not?! We also order the PB Street Corn and a side of charred jalapeños. The Pescado was very juicy and flavorful but be prepared, it is the whole fish so watch out for bones! Although it was very good, it is like eating crab or crawfish, a lot of work for little protein. Overall glad I tried it but I think the tacos would have been more of my style. The street corn was delicious, and the habanero butter added nice heat but it was very buttery and thick. I would definitely recommend, just be prepared to consume a heavy amount of butter. We also ordered two cocktails which were good but very sweet. Overall, we enjoyed our time and would like to visit again, it just seemed like what we decided to try wasn't my favorite. Attended a soft opening last night if this brand new restaurant in Gilbert. Located at Val Vista and Williamsfield next to sister restaurant High Tide Seafood. Same owners as High Tide with the same awesome fresh ingredients dishes. This restaurant is more casual serving a variety of yummy dishes. Just as beautifully decorated as High Tide with warm lime green walls, gorgeous light fixtures and wall decor. Prices are so reasonable for the quality of food. Their chips and salsa to start our dining experience were so tasty. We ordered some appetizers, margaritas, and entree dishes. This new fun and delicious will do amazing in their location. read more

Food was amazing! I had the avocado taco and a fish taco with a cabbage leaf instead of a tortilla. Excellent! I loved the flavors. The pickled cucumber in the avocado taco were perfect. I also indulged in a red sangria which was also excellent. They should put their name on the door. Over the years most of my local favorite places have gone out of business and particularly post pandemic the places I did like have gone down hill. This place is fun. I love the patio. The service is top notch. Everyone working there is amazing. At least during the two times I have been there. Food is fresh. I like all the seafood options because it's different. First time I did shrimp fajitas and last time I tried the octopus taco. Note the octopus has chorizo which I wish I had omitted but off you like that the octopus was excellent. For me it's too much? This place has been on my watch list for a while, and finally I got the chance to visit. Of course, my wife and I consulted the reviews and photos on Yelp while sitting in the restaurant, attempting to decide what to order. I was leaning toward three tacos, because I was unsure of the size. We both decided to go for two. She had the blackened salmon taco and the fried octopus taco. I went with the shredded beef taco and a poki taco. Two was the right choice because the tacos were large. We eat had a margarita (blended mango for her and spicy cucumber on the rocks for me). Everything was wonderful. The restaurant was beautiful, and the staff was very friendly. 2 stars is generous. We have eaten here regularly for the last 4 years and loved it. Tonight, it was awful. We were one of a few patrons and it took over 45 minutes to get our food, and the food was awful. We typically aren't very critical, but my husband and I both ordered fajitas and both felt like we threw away $52. The taste was awful, quality was awful. Our son kept complaining his $10 kids meal hamburger was burnt. No one was happy. Everything has gone downhill. We won't be returning. Bummer. read more

This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite restaurants. I know we live in a desert but I really do enjoy their fish taco. I always chose curb tortillas, they are so fresh and hand made. Their California taco is my second favorite, grade A carne asada, NO GRISTLE!! This makes me so happy. I splurge when I come here and get the elote off the cob. I mean, who doesn't like corn? We found the name of this restaurant intriguing. They brought chips and salsa. Both salsas were sweet. Not to our liking. We went over the menu and found street tacos. The menu did state that they were for lunch on weekdays. It was about 3:15 when we ordered. The server went to ask and we were told only until 3pm. So we ordered a fish taco and a fried octopus taco. They were served on a plate about the size of the taco. No room for dropping the toppings. The food was ok. Not what I expected. If you are looking for Mexican food go somewhere else. Pescado Borracho has the best fish taco I have ever had... and this is by a wide margin. I have had fish tacos all over and this one easily takes the cake. The menu is good and not overly complicated. They do have kids meals and a full bar. I also had a shrimp taco and that was fantastic. My wife had a chicken taco and it was decent, so I recommend you stick with seafood when dining here. The restaurant was very modern and had plenty of seating. The service was excellent and the whole vibe was really good. Next time I plan to try the octopus taco because it is unique, but it is going to be really hard to bypass the fish or shrimp flour tortilla taco! read more

This was the first time we visited this restaurant with friends from out of town. The food was very good. However our server Stephen clearly didn't want to be there. Wasnt sure how the food here would be but took a chance. And we enjoyed our meals! Started with their nachos (added chicken) and it is really tasty! The chicken was marinaded really well and not to forget mentioning the portion size was rather large. We each ordered the grilled shrimp taco (which came more like a quesadilla) and the baja fish taco. We weren't as impressed with the fish taco but the other items were delicious. I ordered the carnie asada, he ordered the fish and his wife ordered what she thought was a three taco combo. My friends overpriced fish came out tough and overcooked. His wife got one taco. I got the toughest most under seasoned carne asada I have EVER had! No salt, no seasoning. I thought the knife was dull because it could not cut through it. I realized that was not the case. It was so tough I could not eat it. Who the hell puts sugar in black beans with no other seasoning. Chef had no clue on seasoning. Basics of cooking are salt, fat, acid and heat. This was our first time visit to Pescado Borracho and it was well worth it! We started with nachos, which were delicious. They were served with a healthy dose of guacamole on top and their cheese sauce and crema was different than other restaurants and tasty. They served a tomatillo salsa and a roasted chipotle sauce with their chips- both delicious. My friend and I shared the fried snapper and it was done perfectly. The batter not too heavy and the fish was light and flakey. This place is a hidden gem. Can't wait to return! read more
