Overall, I think the octopus didn't have much flavor but they do add in the sauce which tied everything together. But without it, the octopus would not have any flavor. All the tacos come with rice or beans as a set price regardless if u get the side or not. In addition, they also served some chips and salsa. This was very nice. They gave us a decent portion of chips and the salsa was slightly spicy and flavorful. Service was attentive and came to check on us if we needed anything. And our experience ended in a positively when we saw they reduce 20% for taco Tuesday so that was a plus. What a disaster. $50 for lunch that was practically inedible and took 2 HOURS. Not very busy. took 20 minutes just to get menus. There appeared to be 1 server 1 greeter 1 bartender And no wanted to help anyone out. Every time we ask for help nothing happened. We got the bartender for our server (probably one reason it took so long). THE FOOD: 4 of us and no one's meal was very good. I had some pozole that was good. Green Chili was heavy on lime and just not good. Enchiladas were weird tasting. Friend had PB BUrrito and couldn't eat it. Octopus taco was just o k. No one ever came by to check. Needed more salsa and water. Chili was supposed to have tortillas. Took another 15 minutes to get those. TIME FOR CHECK: Of course had to chase someone down. Had ask for 2 separate checks. We ate here a few months back and remembered it being good. We were craving Mexican food and after reading the menu we thought that this food would hit the spot. We ordered 2 Baja Fish Tacos, the Blackened Salmon Taco, the Grilled Shrimp Taco, the Californian Taco and a Carnitas Taco and picked it up. They are very friendly and quick to get your order out. The food was still piping hot which I really appreciated. I got the Baja Fish Tacos & The Californian Taco. The Fish Tacos were pretty good. The Lime Crema complimented them well. I also had a Californian Taco which was so good, with the fries, crema & hot sauce. Everyone else enjoyed their tacos a lot. My sister and I were looking for something to eat on the evening before the Super Bowl, so we needed to stay in the south east part of the metro area - away from the crowds! My sister had been here a few weeks ago and had excellent food. We started with chips, salsa, green salsa and some incredible guac!! Really good beginning. Then my sister ordered the carnitas taco and I had the salad with portobellos for the protein in it. Both were really great. The salad was HUGE. The pico was super, beans were nicely spiced. The pickles on it were a huge surprise and really great. Good fresh veggies.... The salad dressings were good- but the salad had enough flavor that I barely used the dressings. TLDR: We enjoyed our food, but the service is unnecessarily slow. Details: From the time we were seated till we got our dinner was an hour. We were seated right away, and our server came shortly after for our drink order. We waited 20 mins for our drinks and chips. Then he took our order and disappeared. Our street tacos took another 40 mins. No clue why, but they said the kitchen was slammed. Half the tables were leaving after happy hour. The restaurant was moderately busy, especially for a Tuesday. It seems like it's not run well. Servers have tables all over the place and seem to have no rhyme or reason for who's serving whom. But the food is good. Huge bowl of chips and salsa. Decent dinner portions. Great options for gluten free and vegetarian. Chips are in the same fryer though. It seems a little pricey for the area and amount of food. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Their carne asada is tender and very flavorful. i got the Cali style burrito, it was so good! I loved the crema and the hot sauce! My husband got the Baja style burrito, which he loved. And our youngest devoured the Mac and cheese (she's picky) My oldest got one California taco (another picky eater) and she loved it. They made my middle daughter a bean and cheese burrito. It was good but don't cut it in half, the beans were not a thick refried bean. I also got the passion fruit margarita and it was delicious!!! Went with a couple girlfriends to try a new place, here's the things I LOVED: 1. Our drinks. Delicious!! All 3 were good, both the margaritas and cocktails were well balanced and refreshing 2. The street tacos were loaded with delicious meat, with an undertone of lime which makes a street taco for me. Small but mighty filling! 3. The restaurant is beautifully decorated! I loved that it felt casual but also classy. It had kind of a come as you are feel, where you didn't feel either over or under dressed. The rest was really okay. I didn't dislike the beans and rice, but they weren't super notable. The street corn although in a yummy sauce, didn't taste very fresh. Kind of like a charred canned corn, but again the sauces were good! The butter cake was again okay, but the banana gelato on top was the star of the dessert. Our waitress was kind and attentive! My parents love this place and have been asking us to join them here for a long time. Well we finally made it. We went for the whole fried snapper and my wife and I shared it. It was massive but we pretty much ate the entire thing. Man it was good. The service here was fantastic as well. My only complaint was the cocktails were not the best. My margarita tasted like it came out of one of those pre made mixtures from the store. My wife wasn't impressed with her Mescal Old Fashioned either. Hubby & I tried this place ton for the first time. Service was good. Drinks were great; I love red sangria! You get free chips & salsa if you ask for them. Hubby got 2 tacos, fried fish & blackened salmon. The "blackened" salmon could stand a lot more blackening. For $9 a taco you really think you would get at least 1 side. Most places give you rice & beans. Here you don't get any sides, Just 2 tacos for $18. I got the chicken fajitas, they come with 1 side. The chicken was really moist! But again, for $22 I feel you should get rice & beans; like you do at all other restaurant. And these are the most expensive chicken fajitas I've ever had. I was surprised how little chicken you get. I spent more & rice & refried beans. The rice was good, but I've never had corn in my Mexican rice. The refried beans were runny. So all in all, no real reason to return. It's been a while since I've been here. I enjoyed it last time. This time was quite disappointing. The queso was good. The guacamole was lacking flavor. We each got a taco. I asked for no habanero sauce but it came with it anyway. We ordered chika rones but they were out. We also ordered street corn to share but it wasn't very good. They also didn't take anything off our table like empty cups, chip bowl, etc. I was really disappointed. Wow. We loved this place previously. We went tonight at 4:45 and were well inside the happy hour times. We asked what the specials were and were told that it was "industry night" so 20% off the food bill. Also signature cocktails were $2 off. We both ordered fajitas and a cocktail from the signature list. I asked if I could switch the tequila for mezcal. The server said no problem. We got the bill and there was no 20% off. The $12 cocktail is that should have been $10 ($12-$2 for happy hour) was $17!!!! We brought all of this to the manager's attention. She said that industry night is for people in the "industry". We had no idea still... turns out it means food service industry. We are not that, but no one asked either. The margarita--because I changed it from tequila to mezcal that evidently voided the happy hour discount. All said we had to pay $16 over what we expected to pay. The manager was rude and unapologetic. I'd love a call from the actual manager. She can't possibly be the manager with her responses. I'm really disappointed. Food was good and hot. We have dined at Pescado Borracho several times, but our last visit was disappointing. My husband and I usually sit at the bar, and it took about 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. When we were finally asked if we wanted drinks, it took another 5 minutes just to get water. The bartender didn't acknowledge us until our food was served, and I believe the hostess was serving us. I requested a mix of half black beans and half pinto beans but was told no because it was Friday night and the kitchen didn't like doing that. I was only asking for a small portion of each, and by that time, the restaurant was not full and there wasn't a wait. While we were sitting at the bar, we weren't asked if we wanted another drink until we were done with our food. While I understand that food prices have increased, $20 for one small taco is excessive. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined, and the service was subpar. We used to enjoy this place, but we've decided not to return. The restaurant is cute and usually has immediate seating, but our recent experience with both the food and service was underwhelming. read more

We went here based on yelp reviews. We were not disappointed! There were 5 in our party and we were seated at a large booth. We were very happy as there was plenty of room. Our server (Ryan) was wonderful! Very attentive yet let us relax & enjoy. We never felt rushed in the least! The Trio platter (appetizer) was scrumptious! The guacamole was fresh & authentic. I'm not used to writing 2 star reviews and I don't mean to be harsh to those working at this restaurant. I simply did not enjoy my food, or the atmosphere near as much as I would expect for a restaurant charging this much for food. To start, I shared a trio appetizer with my mom. The cheese dip tasted as if it were from a can. The rest was your average guacamole and beans. As an entree I had the enchiladas with carnitas. I did enjoy my entree, however the rice tasted as if they used Uncle Ben's Minute Rice and spiced it up with corn. I wish I meant that as a comparison, but I quite literally believe that it what they used. My mom enjoyed a salad. All in all the experience was not worth the $100 bill for two people, not to mention the lack-luster presentation. read more

Customer service was really good here for starters. The food is where they are lacking for me. We ordered Chips and salsa, not a fan of the two salsas they brought out. We also tried their corn off the cob, which did have good flavor. Their menu is confusing because it gives you a name like "Californian " listed with ingredients. It doesn't tell you if it's a taco, burrito, or what it is. I had to ask the waitress and she told me it comes as a taco, but I could get it as a burrito. It is a la carte too. I ordered beans and rice on the side. The black beans were very bland. The rice had corn in it, I hated it. It was sweet and lacking flavor again. My taco had flavor, lots of spice. It was okay.
