Great food and service. The spot has changed a lot ever since I've been hearing new owner.

A friend treated me here for my birthday as he recommended this place himself. This is a Persian restaurant that's in the University District, and there's plenty of street parking around. Since it was around 12pm on a Friday, my friend and I were the only ones inside and got seated quickly. I loved how our servers were very prompt with bringing the dishes out, including appetizers and water. The inside has many big tables, and feels somewhat fancy with the chairs, tables and glass cups around. My friend and I got the tahdig with gheimeh and the lamb rack. The tahdig is crispy rice along with meat, peas and cheese on top. It was really hard to chew on the crispy rice but it was tasty and savory and complimented the rest of the dishes very well as an appetizer. The lamb rack is pretty huge; there were five pieces of bone-in lamb chops and each one had a TON of flavor and meat packed into it. Most of the plate is basmati rice with saffron, however. The lamb rack was definitely my favorite part of the whole meal, and I'm down to try other things on their menu when I come back here.

I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint! The food is always amazing and the portions are so big !!

The best Tah-Deeg and khoresh. The portion is so big and the khoresh is delicious. We also ordered the king's choice: kubideh, barg and chicken with an extra skewer of kubideh. This was a lot of food and we left totally satisfied and some to take with us. The dining room has a musty odor but the good food makes up for it. Wait staff is friendly and helpful. Overall great experience

Delicious and authentic! As someone who grew up eating Persian food, this hit the spot! The portions are generous and platter style with pickled cabbage, onions and basil on the side. I recommend the koobideh (beef) kabob. There is plenty of seating and the ambiance is great for dinners and get togethers. So happy I found this gem and I will definitely be back.

My FIL is from Iran and was visiting from the East Coast, so we wanted to take him to an authentic Persian meal. I don't know much about Persian food, but my FIL loved it! He said it was very authentic and reminded him of home. Personally, I got the chicken skewer with saffron rice with pomegranates seeds. The chicken was really moist and well seasoned. We also got tadiq (crispy rice) and babaganoush. The babaganoush was garlicky and excellent! Possibly the best I ever had. The tadiq was ok. Very crispy but tasted kind of like popcorn. All.of the portions were extremely generous.

I knew I had to come here when multiple people from Iran had recommended it to me. And I was not disappointed! Before we got our food, they gave us some bread, butter, basil, and raw onion. The kashk-e-bademjan was so light and appetizing! Even if you don't normally like eggplant, give it a chance, it might change your mind! The tadig is a must, the fesenjan had a sweet and sour flavor from the pomegranate but it really worked! The vaziri was nice because we got to try two kinds of kebabs, both of which were seasoned and cooked perfectly! They were way to bite into, not too tough. The portion sizes are generous, this was plenty for 3 adults! The service staff were also very kind, always checking in on us! Food came pretty quickly too. The atmosphere is also nice, they have small tables if you want to eat alone or a big table which is more communal. You also get to enjoy some Persian pop music :)

TLDR: We got takeout and not only were we not impressed by the food (which is a first for us), but I think I got sick from it. I wish I had a better experience but I would not order from here again nor recommend. Food: I had the eggplant meal - the dolmeh were good and the salad seemed fine, but the eggplant sauce I put on the rice was not only stone cold, but did not have hardly any eggplant or flavor in it. It felt like I could have been pasta sauce on rice and I didn't even finish it. I got sick within 24 hours and that was the only new or unfamiliar thing I had eaten. My partner got the chicken skewers and liked those but he was very disappointed in the Koobideh Kabob Dish with Zereshk Polo. He didn't finish his either, which is rare for both of us. He also had the baklava which he described as "eh" and felt was too small a portion for the price. I would not ever order from here again. Service & Ambiance: N/A due to take out so can't speak to those.

What's everyone's favorite vegan dish here?

Mine is the eggplant platter. The eggplant comes out as almost a purée paste. I'm not sure what spices they use, but it is delicious!

You order online for delivery or swing by to pick it up (which is what we did) :: when you get there, you just let them know which kitchen you're there for, and they quickly bring out your order. We ordered a couple of truffle mushroom smash burgers and a spicy lover's smash burger, and every single one was fantastic. They delivered exactly what you want from a smash burger: juicy patties with perfectly crispy, caramelized edges, all tucked into soft, toasty brioche buns. The buns were a standout - they held everything together beautifully and soaked up the juices without getting soggy. The fries were crisp and satisfying, rounding out the meal nicely. This is definitely a spot we'll be adding to our regular rotation.

I got the classic smash with an extra patty. There's an obvious focus on quality ingredients, and overall the burger was enjoyable. The meat itself could be seasoned a bit more, so I'd recommend going with one of their more adventurous options to add some flavor. My biggest gripe has to do with the fries. $5+ is steep for the portion they're offering. Overall: 3.75/5

For a group of four adults with a normal hungry, we ordered a small beef set and fried chicken, which was plenty. The banchan was fantastic, especially the Myungranjut. The meat quality was outstanding for a K-BBQ place, and the service was superb. Our server proactively replaced the grill grate to make sure no burnt bits remained! The vibe is casual enough but can be also formal enough for a date. Needless to say, I left a very generous tip.

Not because it's just "better than the other dishes" but it was truly amazing, it just had a great taste to it! Soup was yummy too and came with clear noodles Proportions are to the smaller size making prices a bit high but banchans were refilled quickly. Recommend because their food had its own special taste/ dishes that you will remeber it by. Was a fun place to eat and staff was friendly!
