Cons: Overpriced: I ordered the seasonal honey lavender latte but every element was an additional fee. I got charged as seen in the photo. Unfortunately the drink was not good at all. I struggled to drink half of it and only because it was so overpriced. Our last trip to Jackson Hole was 20 years ago and my oh my, it has grown and changed. Back in the day there was the Million Dollar Cowboy bar, Bubbas and a handful of diners. Today it is a great example of the multicultural influence of the Millenials. Sushi, ramen, Asian fusion, Chinese, Korean, Mexican,Italian and vegan in Wyoming? You betcha. Easy to find Brussels sprouts, kale, quinoa and avo toast too. LOL I like to eat local dishes when traveling but I am sure the locals appreciate the diversity. I did a Yelp search on breakfast and this place floated to the top when dog friendly was factored in. I had the breakfast with easy over eggs and sausage and it was great. So why a 5/5 rating: 1. Venue: clean and charming with indoor and shaded outdoor dining. It's very dog friendly too. 2. Food: quality ingredients, cooked and presented well. Pretty healthy and appropriate portion sizes without a zillion calorie fillers like hash browns. 3. Service: very nice people with prompt service. I really liked this place and highly recommend it. Honey lavender latte, cinnamon brioche and ham and cheese croissant were all delicious! We've stopped in here several times while on this visit. We are in Jackson on vacation for about a week. As I've said in my other reviews, the food in Jackson is not good - just average - even the highly rated spots, when compared to nearly any other place I've been. Persephone is the exception in this town. WOW! Just deliciousness through and through. These bakers know what they are doing! It is tiny and usually quite crowded. There are 2 people at the counter taking orders and you have to jostle your way over to them. They are efficient and kind. You order, pay, and they give you a number on a stand if you are eating in the restaurant. There is an area with glasses and water/coffee, napkins, sugar, etc. You put the number on your table and they bring your food promptly. You go to the counter when they call your name for lattes, etc. Their system works, and I never had to wait for a table. There is someone constantly roaming around picking up dishes. Now on to the food: -breakfast sandwich - delicious croissant, a little too greasy for me -quiche Lorraine - perfection! -vanilla latte - perfect coffee flavor and temperature - not too scalding hot. I love the ceramic cups they serve it in! -oatmeal cranberry cookie - so delicious, crunchy and soft, such good texture and flavor -GF double chocolate cookie - needs some work -gingerbread Bundt cake - yummy with good ginger flavor, moist As for the ambiance, it is nice, but they really need to expand or move into a larger space. I knocked a vase off the table trying to get out of my seat. It's extra hard with coats during the winter. It feels cramped and you can hear everything that the tables next to you are saying. So that would be my only (minor) complaint - they need to expand the dining area so you don't feel packed like sardines. It won't stop me from coming here, though. 1000% recommend. Cutest coffee and pastry shop! Their coffee is to die for, they even steam you milk if you ask. Every pastry we ordered was delicious, specially the Nutella bread. We were excited to go after reading the reviews, but boy were we disappointed. We ordered 6 things and I cant recall everything, but the pear tart was great. The Kouign-amann and almond croissant were dry as a dog bone and not sweet at all. Absolutely trash. The chocolate croissant was below meh. The choc chip cookies were a disaster. How tf can someone mess that up? When you've never had the best I guess you just like anything. On top of all that, all the items were too pricey and the lady at the counter was not courteous and friendly at all. The entire experience was bad. Honestly if the pastries were outstanding, I could overlook the rest, but this was an overall miss. Nothing worse than receiving a comment from the establishment telling me I was "harsh". I stand by what I said. Ridiculous that your team expended a lot of effort to create a trash product yet sell it to customers for a high price. Sounds like u have baker problems in addition to poor customer service at the register. Bad is wanting a sweet treat & getting to a bakery only to purchase items that look great but are not at all sweet, not moist, no almond paste, barely any chocolate filling, bad tasting cookies and more. Go back to baking school, get training from some highly regarded and well known bakers and pastry chefs, but dont tell me Im being harsh. This bakery was on my list to eat at during our vaca to Jackson. I read the reviews in advance. Yes it's small and seating is tight inside....but yummmmmmm. My husband ordered the French toast and I had the cheddar scone with gravy (fancy biscuits and gravy). We both loved our meals and they lived up to the hype. Pastries were also delicious and very fresh. The ambiance is so charming and cozy. One suggestion for management would be to add a note to existing signs on the table to let people know that they should not take a table until after they have ordered their food and have a number. This could help flow and improve the seating situation (prevent rude customers from saving seats while folks with food in hand have nowhere to go). read more

Other than the long wait, this place is the perfect place to for brunch on the weekend! Their pastries are incredible and everything is so fresh. I also am a fan of all the condiments and add-ins they have out like hot sauces, salt & pepper, sugar, honey, tooth picks, creamer etc. I got scrambled eggs with avocado, sourdough toast, heirloom tomatoes and jam and that hit the spot. Others got the croissant egg sandwhich and some pastries and a package of their chocolate chip cookies which everyone raves about. I stopped in for an almond latte and banana nutella bread slice after discovering I wasn't fond of the breakfast at my hotel. Grabbed a seat and enjoyed my goodies. This was the ONLY place I've seen a staff member call someone out for walking in without a mask during our trip to Idaho and Wyoming and it honestly put a smile on my face. But then I saw their kitchen staff with his mask under his nose so that made me feel conflicted about how seriously they're taking their precautions. Overall, I'm giving Persephone five stars for service, variety, aesthetics, and the overall experience. We got lattes and a coconut carrot cake from here. The place was packed on a weekday morning in October, but the whole process was pretty quick. Persephone is probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing spots in downtown Jackson. We ordered some croissants (plain, almond, spinach and feta, chocolate), banana bread, quiche, a seeded avocado bowl, a croque madame, and a breakfast sandwich. All were incredible and very well-made, but the breakfast sandwich was OUTSTANDING. There's a divine sauce on it (dijon aioli) that brings it over the top. We got it on Tuesday and had to come back Wednesday for another. This place is a flipping gem! One of the best breakfasts in Jackson. Persephone is so quant and unique and the food and pastries are out of this world. Their cookie is one of my favs I've ever had (and I'm a tough cookie critic), their carrot cake bread is phenom and their brownies are delectable. Pre COVID when you could sit inside, the atmosphere just took you to another place. It's as if you are sitting in a little café in Europe. It's so bright and calm and decorated perfectly. Right now the outdoor deck is a good option and there's fire pits? Or heat lamps? (Now I can't remember which one because I took my food to-go and didn't focus too hard on what the patio looked like) One of other great things about Persephone is the great merchandise to-go.
