At 7:30am, there was already people lining up and ordering for breakfast. Hot chocolate - my LO said it was yum. It even comes with marshmallows! Additionally, you can request Kids TEMP. TYSM. Huckleberry puree in americano - This was a very refreshing combination in coffee. I would get it again! Caramel latte - a good latte. Cheddar scallion biscuit - wow, this one is delicious and such a buttery savory choice! Croissant - buttery and flaky. Strawberry Rhubarb croissant - the acid and sweetness goes so well with the buttery flaky pastry. Morning Glory muffin - almost like a bran muffin, a nutritious pick. We would definitely come back in the future.

The grilled cheese was genuinely tasty, and I really liked the cortado. The pecan pie was fine -- not outstanding, but enjoyable enough. The croissant, though, was disappointing. It was served cold, not warmed up at all, and surprisingly, they don't even offer a plain croissant. It may sound like a minor detail, but when you're paying bakery-level prices, those details count. The bigger problem, however, was the service -- especially the brunette woman at the counter. From the second we approached, the atmosphere felt unfriendly. No smile, no greeting, no eye contact. There was no willingness to assist, no recommendations, and no sense of hospitality whatsoever. Her expression stayed cold the entire time, and it honestly felt like we were inconveniencing her simply by ordering. To top it off, it took nearly five minutes just to get a basic receipt, with no explanation or acknowledgment. And that's the thing about customer service -- it shapes the entire experience. A café can have great coffee, appealing food, and a beautiful interior, but when the first interaction feels distant and unwelcoming, it overshadows everything else. Staff members are the face of a business, and when customers leave feeling ignored or unwanted, it leaves a lasting impression for all the wrong reasons. Beautiful space and some solid food, but service is what defines whether people return -- and unfortunately, this experience made us not want to come back.

For breakfast, I had the Adobo Breakfast Bowl, I'm not a breakfast person, but this bowl really hits the spot. The Adobo short ribs was delicious perfectly seasoned over Spanish rice and a choice of your egg. I had it over-easy topped with pickled onion ...perfect! my only complaint ...more please! The Cinnamon Roll was moist, perfectly sweetened and not overpowering with cinnamon. Love the coffee, so balanced and smooth. I will definitely stop by again for breakfast.

I wasn't impressed by their coffee, and I was especially unimpressed by their coconut matcha. It's fortunate I've had better experiences with coconut matchas elsewhere, because if this were my first impression, I would have sworn off it! The orange syrup was far too zesty, and the coconut water they chose was terrible. Decent pastry offerings. Huckleberry donut was oddly dense, not very flavorful, and topped with thick icing. It didn't satisfy the homemade pastry feeling I'd hoped for. Baristas, at least, were VERY kind!

I also ordered a matcha latte. There was no warning that their matcha is already heavily pre sweetened, so I asked for lavender syrup and oat milk. When we finally received our drinks and I took a sip on my way out, it was genuinely one of the worst matcha drinks I've ever had. It tasted like straight sugar water with an overwhelming amount of lavender. Completely undrinkable. I immediately went back inside to see if it could be fixed since I was not going to drink it. I waited politely while the barista finished what she was doing. She looked up at me with visible confusion, so I explained that I didn't realize the matcha was pre sweetened and that adding lavender made it far too sweet. She did not say a single word. Instead, she gave me a judgmental look, smirked, and glanced around as if looking for a reaction from others. Without acknowledging me, she started remaking the drink very quickly and sloppily, clearly annoyed. When she reached for whole milk, I reminded her I had asked for oat milk, which was met with another look of irritation. She finished the drink, slammed it on the counter without a word, and continued to glare. I still said thank you and left. Once we got to the car and opened our burritos, we realized both the meat and veggie burritos were wrapped identically with no markings. My boyfriend had to bite into both to figure out which was which. The veggie burrito I received was extremely mushy and unappetizing, and I lost my appetite immediately. Between the rude, dismissive service and the poorly executed food, this place was a complete disappointment. I will not be returning.

The location is just a block off the main square with the Wort Hotel just across the street and some art galleries which is a great place while roaming. I recommend if you are looking for a unique dessert with coffee! The French Dessert/patisserie has a variety of goods--not all shown. On the far left there is flavored chocolates (bonbons?) with a range of flavors (when I went) from Huckleberry + Vanilla, tea, etc. it looked like you had to buy a minimum box of 6 for 24$ but I could be incorrect on that. Next case had a variety of desserts, which is where the huckleberry chocolate out of (abt 9$). They do run out of pastries as the day goes on so something specific from yelp might not be in there. Next case has about 10 flavored of gelato. The following case has savory pastries like feta cheese-mushroom or ham croissants in addition to sweeter goods like croissants and cookies. There is indoor seating (about four two tops), a bench outside, and takeaway pastry or chocolate boxes if to go. When I walked in it was pretty crowded but the service was efficient. Luckily there was enough space for me to dine-in with a comfy spot against the wall. (Note: The other side of the table had soft and wide stools but with no back). (Note #2: When eating in you get ceramic plate + silverware with a plastic cup for cold drinks; there is a little station near the entrance for trash and plates). The chocolate-Huckleberry dessert was delicious. It had chocolate roses (with texture!!!) on top and a marbled silver-purple chocolate surrounding the cake and huckleberry filling. Very beautiful and I really enjoyed the sweet but also tart huckleberry with the chocolate. It was a bit of a mess to eat but I am more than okay with that! I would recommend it! I was able to get the feta-something-mushroom croissant warmed for lunch, which was pretty tasty. Nice flakiness and the middle with the filling was a nice mix. If you are stopping for lunch/breakfast and want something a little more substantial to your meal/snake then I recommend. They also had a ham-something-Jalapeño but I wasn't sure on how strong the pepper would be. Lastly, I had a matcha latte. It can come in a variety of sizes and I believe with the option of cold or hot. It was good-decent but not my favorite matcha-- the flavors were more milk heavy. But that is likely just my current preference--some places I have gone recently have it stronger and some have it sweeter; so take it as you will. It did have the nice crushable ice which I munched on with the concentrated matcha at the end though. As for the drink menu they had more non-coffee options like hot chocolate, turmeric latte, etc along with (what is maybe standard? coffees---don't drink them) like cappuccinos, mochas, etc. along with drip and affogatos.

The inside of the café is cute and modern, but it still feels cozy. There's even a little merch shop. The service is ok, but when I asked about their specials for the pastries (there was a sign) the cashier said he didn't know, but his colleague would know. I feel like all employees should've been aware of what they were. I ordered a carrot cake since it's one of my favorite types of cake. I was so sad since it wasn't super moist it was kinda bland and did not have that classic sweet spiciness that makes a carrot cake what it is. Nothing made it stand out my opinion that was more like multigrain bread vs. a yummy classic treat. I think a "huckleberry" jam cake (which is still a type of spice cake) but layered with jam) would be better and more popular on the menu.
