Took my pool pump in for service because it was not creating enough vacuum. Called them prior and they said just bring in where the impeller splits back to the motor and we will take a look. Brought it in, said everything was fine. Had to then go home and bring back the whole thing. They told me impeller was good so replaced a couple gaskets and sent me on my way. Brought it back for a third time and told me impeller had a crack in it and filter basket o ring was shot. Got it home and they gave me the wrong sized o ring. Terrible from start to finish. Told someone at the front desk about my frustration and couldn't give two s"!?ts less. My father had been using this company for years but apparently something has happened with it the past 3 years. I bought a pump housing off eBay that happened to come from Perry's. I chose to have it shipped despite being in town because the $7.00 shipping charge was very reasonable and cheaper than the gas it would take driving. As it turned out, we had order the wrong part. My husband called the store and they said they would exchange it no problem. I drove there the next Saturday and the exchange was quick and easy. He even charged me the internet price on the correct part so the difference was just a couple of dollars. The store was pretty busy and judging by the stock of pumps and parts in the back it looks like they do a pretty good volume. We are due probably for a whole new pump soon and I will definitely look to Perry's before anyone else. read more

This place is the real deal. Wander in here, and it's like a mechanics' shop, but with pool parts -- greasy, with the hum of power tools in the background. It has that serious and unglamorous look that instills confidence in their work. Being the do-it-yourselfers we are, I came by to grab some parts to fix our pool pump. I didn't know the make or year, but Perry knew just by looking at the parts, and grabbed the right ones for me. No problem. The prices were fair too. I also noticed that had tons of different chemicals and equipment parts. A lot of them were brands that I had never heard of. In other words, stuff the pros use. read more

If you need to swap out a pump or find an old hard to find pool part, this is the place. Beyond that don't ask them to come out and install or service anything. I needed some work done to the filter and they never called back even though I was "on the list". They just blew me off, never returned calls so I hired Presidential Pools instead. read more

These guys are really nice, honest and knowledgable. Our pool pump issue went from a $600 project to a $25 capacitor. We brought the old one down to Perry's, they tested it and had a replacement in stock! But then the pump still wouldn't work so we brought the entire machine down only for [the owner?] to wiggle the capacitor and find it was just shorting out. He adjusted it and the bill was zero! They could have told us anything and we'd have had no choice but to believe them and pay. But instead they opted for the honest approach. I'll not be using anyone but Perry's from now on. Have been in twice in the last 3 months to have repairs done to pool motor/pump. Both times some parts needed where marked up considerable y compared to there online price on EBAY. Always get descent service here I just wush they did not mark up so much in house. Basically find the part there selling you on there online store and have them honor that price. I will never buy anything from this place again. I bought a brand new variable speed motor, installed it, and it immediately started leaking. Perry refused to send one of his Techs to check the problem. I had to remove it and take it to them. Bad Business. They don't respect people's time or business. This was right after a week prior I took a Motor to be rebuilt and they called and told me it was ready and when I arrived they told the guy that was supposed to put it back together went home early. read more

My pool pump started to howl which could only mean the bearings were giving up the ghost. I ordered new bearings on E-bay but when I took apart my pump I noted they were incorrect. My mistake. I called these guys and they assured me they had every bearing ever associated with a pool pump. They did. Life savers they are, because my pool pump was disassembled and I could not afford to wait several days for the right bearing to arrive. read more

I am sure this is a great establishment and have never been to the shop. The work done at my home service was top notch. That is not the reason for my rating. I spoke with Dana. I specifically texted him the list of several things I needed to be done, including a pump replacement. He quoted me over the phone "Monday or Tuesday." Ok, fine. He wanted photos, so I sent some. As soon as I sent a photo of the pump label I got a call. "We cannot repair that pump." Well, yes, I know, that is why I requested a replacement. "Oh, ok, I have talked to ten people since I spoke with you." Ok, no problem. He will be out Tuesday or Wednesday....ok,.. I thought we just said Monday or Tuesday 15 minutes ago, but whatever. Tuesday comes, Wednesday comes. I text and ask what time he is going to be here (I am at work and have difficulty answering the phone, but this guy loves to call). He has to put me off until Thursday, but he has the stuff on the truck. Ok, some jobs take longer than expected and I get that, that's fine, and if he has the stuff on the truck, at least I will get it all fixed in one fail swoop. I don't like having my gate unlocked day after day but I need things repaired. He shows up around 12:30pm on Thursday. Great! He replaces the pump. Fantastic! He is here about an hour and a half. Now, what about the other things? "We will get it done on Monday, Tuesday at the latest." Ok, ...it's only 2pm, but maybe he works an early shift and maybe he has Friday off or something. Monday comes....Tuesday comes....I finally text him on Wednesday and ask when this is happening. "I told you middle to end of the week." Ok, well no, you didn't but he wants to do everything over the phone, so I don't actually have this in text, so I said I don't want to play he said she said, so thanks for everything, but I will go a different direction from here. I get four more texts in succession after that. "I told you this was the timeframe and this is what you agreed to. Here is the price, and here is the price with the next part of the work included. Let me know what you want to do." I finally cave and decide to give this one last shot rather than have to look for someone else. I think, maybe I was wrong and he did say middle to end of the week. It is Wednesday and still right on his schedule, so I text back, "so would this be tomorrow or Friday then?" I ended up sending that just after 5pm. His response at 11am the next day, "I think it is best we part ways." You can think I was being a jerk, being unreasonable, or what-have-you if you like, but I have never run across a place that puts you off four times, won't give you a time they will show up, and still does days worth of other work when they are in the middle of taking care of a customer. If he needed to wait on parts as he alluded to, why did he tell me he had everything on the truck? I was banking on the fact that once he started fixing my issues, they would be resolved all at once. I want to reiterate, the work that was completed was great, but this guy never gave me an actual time once, never showed up on the day he said he would, and when I finally decide to meet him halfway and give in to "I told you the latter part of the week," and ask which day he was planning on showing up, he bails after wasting another half day and another day I had my gate unlocked "just in case." read more

I just had my pool pump motor repaired there. There was some confusion initially as to whether the motor was blown or not. They reconditioned the motor, but when I got home, I saw that they actually replaced the motor. No problem. Then I broke the 1/2" conduit fitting on the back of the motor when I was reinstalling it. So I took it back to have them replace it (at my cost since I broke it) and they fixed it for free. They didn't have to do that, but they did. That was outstanding of them. This is the place to go if you are a D.I.Y. homeowner and have some skill. I have bought all of my pool motors (both new and remanufactured) from here on several homes and have never had to bring a motor back under their warranty and have never replaced a motor twice. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. They are very bad at keeping appointment to make a home visit. The first time we asked them to make a repair, they didn't show up twice and didn't even call us so we waited at home for nothing. When I called the next day, the man told me that he was coming again and showed up at 10pm to say he couldn't see and he would need to reschedule. After calling Perry's Pool 10 times, we had only had them come over once. The service technicians is very rude and says he will call you in 2 minutes and that was two days ago. read more

So... Leslie Pool wanted $4,300.00 to replace my 2 pool pumps with variable speed type. *** They said I have to have it. Also, cartridge filter housing did have to be replaced as it was cracked and leaking. Leslie Pool said another $1200.00 plus installation. Labor and costs just started adding up with "things" I just had to have... Leslie Pool said. I figured time to shop prices. Shasta Pol closed on Saturday... that doesn't work for me. Found Perry's Pool Pump. Almost didn't call them but they answered on the first ring on a Saturday morning. Yes, they were busy and said they would call me back. Yes, they did... within 15 minutes. I explained everything over the phone and was so impressed with their knowledge and insight that I drove down there. Yes, it look like a hole in the wall, but there I found a huge fountain of expertise and knowledge. Long story short... I did not need everything Leslie Pool told me I needed. Yes, I will get my variable speed pumps attached to my perfectly good housings. Yes, I will get my new cartridge filter housing with a much better warranty. And now... I know a "family attitude" and a "family caring" that will always be there for me. Oh yes, I can easily recommend Perry's Pool Pump. Honest and knowledgable Our pool motor was acting sketchy and then stopped working completely after a few days. A local pool store in Glendale, AZ was quoting a new energy efficient motor between $500-$800. They would do a diagnostic at no cost. Forget about it! The price quoted was much more then we could afford. My husband did his due diligence and we found Perry's. We loaded the motor into our car and headed off to Perry's, just about 15 minutes before they closed. The gentleman brought the motor into the store and back to the work area. About 15 minutes later the motor was repaired. The capacitor had to be replaced. Cost $23.00 and that we could afford! read more

I called late one day and I believe talked to Perry himself! He hooked me up with the right motor for my Hayward super pump and shipped to southeast US. My other motor went out in 15 months due to some serious corrosion inside the pump and motor likely due to a leak. Anyway, they offer 1 year warranty SAME as buying new motor for much less. Aaron helped me related to 110/240 and proper placement of gaskets. I tackled the job myself and it is definitely doable if you just take your time. After my bearings rusted on my motor from a leaky pump the noise was unbearable. Pool repair guy recommended Perrys after I couldn't afford the $500-$700 for a new motor. Second time there, they overhauled my last pool pump motor. It lasted "only" 10 years! Back yesterday and they were as nice as possible, and showed me how this time the pump element and impeller needed replacing.
