The dog was excellent and what made it better than most was the sesame seed bun, soft and a perfect compliment for the beef dog topped with sauerkraut. Just before the weekend, I picked my kids up from school--they get out early--so we decided to stop for drinks before hitting the road to Covina to beat rush hour. Parking here can be a bit of a challenge, but it's still doable. My husband ordered (and then devoured) a Pastrami, No Chaser, which had Pastrami, yellow mustard, lettuce, tomato & pickles. He said it was excellent, which was evident by how quickly he ate it. As you can see from the photos, these sandwiches are not small, either. I ordered a Tuna by Starlight, which has tuna salad, mustard, mayo, lettuce & tomato. Bear in mind, the tuna has a slightly sweet aftertaste, which I would normally object to, but I don't know... when mixed with mayo and mustard, it just worked. I gobbled mine up, too, and I rarely eat 2 sandwich halves anymore. Yet, I ate both halves here. I wouldn't say they have an extensive menu, but I will say there's enough to choose from. i stopped by to perry's joint during my lunch break and that was probably a mistake. i don't think i will ever come here for lunch. it's best to visit this sandwich joint during your free time where you have the time to wait 35-45 mins for your sandwich to be made and ready. Unfortunately, they don't answer their phones so you can't order ahead and not waste my entire lunch waiting for my food. this place needs better training and they also need to train someone to take phone orders. i was there and they would just ignore their phones. while i was there waiting for my food, i noticed how unorganized and slow the employees are. my number was #47 and there was people who's numbers were #34 & #39 that was still waiting for their food. if i didn't make a complaint about the wait, i would've left the place around 1ish when i started my lunch around 12 ish. now let's talk about the sandwich. this is my first time trying one of perrys sandwiches. my coworkers hyped this place up and here is my opinion. i ordered myself the hip max sandwich and it was a pretty good average sandwich. their sandwiches reminds me of the ones from sprouts sandwich deli. i like how the sandwich was fat & stuffed with lots of meat. the lemonade was good. will i come back here again? probably not. read more

My first and last visit to this place. I was genuinely excited to try this restaurant after reading so many great reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. After placing my order, I waited nearly 40 minutes for my food. Several other customers who had been waiting before me also appeared frustrated and were repeatedly approaching the counter to check on their orders. What was most discouraging, however, was seeing guests who ordered after me receive their meals first. A 40-minute wait for a simple lunch sandwich is simply unreasonable. While the staff may have been doing their best, the lack of organization and efficiency made this visit frustrating. Regrettably, this will be my first and last time dining here. read more

Not terrible and there was some love and care but the flavors/ingredients didn't stand out. The dark sweet wheat bread was cut relatively thin so I wasn't able to discern a unique flavor or texture. It will fill you up and you won't be upset with the flavor. Prices ~$15. Folks are friendly. Also be prepared to wait a 15+ min for your order. Lots of seating indoors. Parking is a little tricky with only (free) street parking. Both side streets were nearly full on a Saturday afternoon. read more

The prices now are in the ballpark of nearly double. If they only had a $5.50 pastrami or a $9.75 hey joe sandwich still. Uses fresh ingredients and very filling. Prices can seem high but worth it considering the quality of food. Service is great and environment is very welcoming. Jazz music is the go to playlist so you can't really complain. I've been able to find street parking pretty easily but can see it being inconvenient if the area is busy. As per sandwich it was good im not a huge wheat bread guy so I feel a French roll or Sourdough would be great , they just were out of everything else. But all in all was still Good and filling . I can't say enough about Perry's Joint on Lincoln Ave. The staff is young and polite and inviting. They were so pleasant over the phone when taking my order and I was greeted by a staff member as soon as I walked in. I'm embarrassed to say that we've lived in Pas for 5 years and this was our first time visiting the Pasadena staple that is Perry's. Big mistake, we should have been coming here weekly.
