My family and I often go out to eat on Sundays and one of the places we enjoy is Perkins. It is a homey and comfortable atmosphere that we puts everyone at ease. Our server was friendly, patient, and cooperative throughout the ordering process. The pancakes were delicious especially with the warm service. I was shocked (if not horrified) at what I saw on my last visit! Sort and filth everywhere! - Seated at a dirty table - Trash and food debris on the floor To make it worse, the hose stood in front of this disgusting mess and two different servers walked over the top of it and no one even tried to clean it up. 5 stars because for a diner type restaurant because Perkins offers a wide variety of menu items, a very well-stocked bakery of which everything is made on premises. Plus, The daily specials they offer from 6 AM to 9 AM are so incredibly cheap. And you would think you'd only get three or four items. Think again! There are 7-8 items that are on special for the low price of $3.99. If you get on their email list they also offer you coupons for BOGO Entrées on Thursday evenings. Additionally, kids eat free on Tuesday between certain hours. I've probably been here 15 times in the last three years. Most recently I've been here three times, two weekends in a row. The service is always top notch from the second the hostess seats you, to the waitstaff who are always pleasant and quick with your Meals that always arriving accurately and on time. Even the bussers are polite and pleasant. All recent times we visited I saw the manager walk around checking on tables asking them how their meal was and also asking them if they required anything. He always ended with a " thank you for coming" This is a great touch and why the Staff is so good. A special shout out for Kim who we had all three times. She is just fabulous. No better word to describe her service and pleasant personality. She takes her job seriously And you I'd like to end this review on the bakery note Today was a Sunday and I needed to bring dessert to our Eagles game watch. This is great for what it is. My 3 yr old and I will go out for breakfast on weekends, and sometimes you just want bacon and eggs without paying an arm and a leg. Perkins has great breakfast specials if you come in early. My kid gets two eggs, bacon, and three pancakes for 5.99. Go to other restaurants for this same dish and you'll pay double. They also have a nice kids menu with many options that include a cookie and drink which we do sometimes. The service has been great every time I go. Super nice people and food comes out quickly. Normally I feel a bit guilty going out to eat foods that I could make really cheaply at home, but at Perkins the prices are fair and the experience is nice so I have no problem making a visit every so often. read more

Came here for the amazingly cheap breakfast with a friend while we were both unemployed. We got a big pot of coffee and 2 breakfast plates of panckaes (she had bacon, I had one egg - man, one scrambled egg is kinda small, but when you're broke?...) I'm always extremely pleased when I update a review with increased stars. This week the lovely wife and I stopped into this location for dinner. We were seated immediately by Kelsey who turned out to also be our excellent waitress. Perkins continues to do this ridiculous thing with multiple menus. On this night there were four. One of them was a selection of "Complete Meals." You get your meal, a drink, and a piece of pie for desert for one price. The choices looked good so I picked beef medallions sautéed with onions and mushrooms for $13.99. The sides were cheddar mashed potatoes and a new vegetable medley with sugar snap peas and broccoli. I requested my meat cooked medium and apple pie for desert. Kelsey delivered my meal quickly and I must say that it was quite good. My beef was actually medium as ordered and tender. My vegetables were just slightly over cooked but flavorful and the cheddar mashed potatoes were decent. I requested my apple pie to go and was quickly accommodated. This was not gourmet food by any means but was a solid chain meal at a good price with great service. We were in and out in well under an hour. This kind of performance deserves three stars. read more

Twice a year, we take our Autistic Support and Life Skills students to Perkin's to practice restaurant skills. The staff here are always welcoming, patient and supportive. They give our kids a chance to practice ordering, and are understanding and accepting when they need help or struggle to order clearly. They always give everyone separate checks, and support our kids as they practice counting money, paying and communicating at the cash register. Our kids totally love this outing and always have a lot of fun at Perkin's. The food here is pretty standard for a breakfast diner, but how welcoming they are to our students gets them a 5-star rating for sure. read more

Although Perkins is a chain restaurant, it's one of my favorites to go to for breakfast. The food is good here and the service is also amazing. I'm so glad that there's a Perkins near where I live. I used to drive all the way to NJ, but now, I just drove about 15 minutes. I've only been here for breakfast so I can't really comment on the lunch or dinner. From omelettes to pancakes to the muffins, I'm never disappointed. It taste fresh and not just sitting around. I tend to stick to the omelettes and they are always very filling. It's Perkins -- and for a Perkins, it's a pretty good experience. I don't go into Perkins expecting anything more than what Perkins is and that's (mainly) a breakfast chain with decent food. I've probably gone to this location enough to have endured a disastrous experience if I was destined to have one, but thus far, it has eluded me. I have never ordered anything outside of the breakfast menu so can't attest to how any non-breakfast food items turn out. However, the breakfast vittles that I have eaten have been enjoyable overall. If I do have one complaint, it's that the maple syrup has been watered down lately. It's been that way for my last two visits. Instead of pouring out like normal, slow syrup, it runs right out of the dispenser and right off of your pancakes. Since breakfast food is this place's specialty, it's kind of a big deal. If this watery syrup trend becomes permanent then I'll consider docking a star from my review for this cost-cutting infraction. Anyhow, the wait staff is generally good, the food is consistent, orders come out fairly quick, and you can walk out of here with a full belly without having to spend a ton of money to do so. I have been coming to this location for years, however on Thursday January 3,2019 I had a terrible experience I brought my family to have dinner and while the server was pleasant the order was wrong it took forever for the correct order to come out(a sandwich) my daughter's French fries were messy and cold It looked like they scraped the bottom of the pan it was a terrible presentation and they were out of ranch dressing which was specified on the menu but we were not told they were out She would have ordered something else The sandwich was "lunch meat" not real turkey but maybe that's how it is for that particular item. I know it seems minor but I have always had good food there There wasn't a manager on duty (?))like the usual person on duty to make sure everyone is happy . Going to say right up front - I'm a Perkin's fan, and have been for years. However, not every Perkins is created equal, so I'll talk about this one specifically. I've been here several times. The Price, Menu Selection and the ability to get breakfast or other food any time of day is a definite plus on the weekends. The staff is generally helpful, informed and pleasant. They serve some incredible desserts for those interested in such, and the Pancakes are definitely worth the trip. Apparently this location has been through some rough times, but is under New Management and I'm not seeing the issues that others have mentioned in the past here. Portions are GREAT and all the variety of things I've had have been well prepared, timely and served at the correct temperature. Special mention for Krissi - GREAT service, keep it up and we'll be here all the time. So, if you're looking for a place to get Pancakes for one person, Hamburger for another and another eating Sliced Turkey and Stuffing, don't miss this place. Warning, Sunday Morning/Early Afternoon can be VERY busy - but folks seem to keep moving and there has never been that long of a wait even when the place is packed. read more

They Gave my wife a wrong order, did not tell us what was out before placing a dessert order. i ordered sides of vegetables: Asparagus was cold, as well as the corn; on the bright side, the Rice was luke warm. Perkins are, at best, upscale diners, come in with low expectations and you will not be disappointed. They have a Killer Chicken Pot Pie, but it always 'just ran out' before you came in. Fruit Pies do the same, it's amazing. Entrees are served as hot as their coffee. The food looks like it was thrown on the plate or placed in large monkey dishes. Soups are tired and rewarmed from this mornning. Seasoning(?) is not what it should be. Stay away, in God's name; STAY AWAY!!!! read more

Oh, Perkins, what a disappointment. I had such high hopes when I saw the vast assortment of muffins in the bakery case. Boston Cream muffin?! For goodness sake, doesn't that sound fabulous? But, though they're marketed as "moist and irresistible," I actually found them dry and... well, basically resistible. Obviously the food is nothing to write home about. My Sons and I have been coming here for 20 years. I have to admit we took a break for many years because of food quality. We did start coming back around a year ago and since then we keep coming back. I've given them compliments about the food and they told me it is due to the new management about 5 years ago. Since we've been back we haven't had a bad meal. Breakfast, lunch or dinner has been a HIT!! Food quality is great, hot and fresh every time! Whatever you all are doing DON'T STOP! :).
