I've always liked Perkins - I've found the food the descent (not great, descent), prices pretty inexpensive, service good and pretty clean. I was shocked (if not horrified) at what I saw on my last visit! Sort and filth everywhere! - Seated at a dirty table - Trash and food debris on the floor To make it worse, the hose stood in front of this disgusting mess and two different servers walked over the top of it and no one even tried to clean it up. Even worse than that, the picture show just one aisle of the dining room. More than half of the entire pace looked like this! Just filth and crap everywhere!

5 stars because for a diner type restaurant because Perkins offers a wide variety of menu items, a very well-stocked bakery of which everything is made on premises. Plus, The daily specials they offer from 6 AM to 9 AM are so incredibly cheap. And you would think you'd only get three or four items. Think again! There are 7-8 items that are on special for the low price of $3.99. If you get on their email list they also offer you coupons for BOGO Entrées on Thursday evenings. Additionally, kids eat free on Tuesday between certain hours. I've probably been here 15 times in the last three years. Most recently I've been here three times, two weekends in a row. The service is always top notch from the second the hostess seats you, to the waitstaff who are always pleasant and quick with your Meals that always arriving accurately and on time. Even the bussers are polite and pleasant. All recent times we visited I saw the manager walk around checking on tables asking them how their meal was and also asking them if they required anything. He always ended with a " thank you for coming" This is a great touch and why the Staff is so good. A special shout out for Kim who we had all three times. She is just fabulous. No better word to describe her service and pleasant personality. She takes her job seriously And you I'd like to end this review on the bakery note Today was a Sunday and I needed to bring dessert to our Eagles game watch. I selected the banana cream pie from their bakery. It was boxed up by one person behind the counter and simultaneously rung up by another. Both of them thanked me for my purchase and told me to have a nice day. And I literally had the paid for pie in my hands In under 20 seconds. Great teamwork! As for the pie, I received rave reviews for my dessert choice. When I told them it came from Perkins no one could believe it. It was a huge hit !!!!!

Very cheap breakfast specials as of Aug 2021

This is great for what it is. My 3 yr old and I will go out for breakfast on weekends, and sometimes you just want bacon and eggs without paying an arm and a leg. Perkins has great breakfast specials if you come in early. My kid gets two eggs, bacon, and three pancakes for 5.99. Go to other restaurants for this same dish and you'll pay double. They also have a nice kids menu with many options that include a cookie and drink which we do sometimes. The service has been great every time I go. Super nice people and food comes out quickly. Normally I feel a bit guilty going out to eat foods that I could make really cheaply at home, but at Perkins the prices are fair and the experience is nice so I have no problem making a visit every so often.

I'm normally never in the mood for breakfast foods, but when I am Perkins is one of my go-to places, especially on weekday mornings, because of their breakfast specials and breakfast potatoes. Although the potatoes can occasionally be underseasoned, they're always perfectly cooked- crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The rest of the breakfast items are not out of this world, but they're tasty and do the jobs. The breakfast specials are super affordable, available form 6-9AM and come with coffee. There's never a wait and service is fairly quick. If you shop at Acme (one right down the street from here), there are printed coupons for 15% off Perkins on the back!

What you see once you walk in. Mmm mm mmm!!

I had the BLT with avocado and every part of the meal was excellent. The toasty bread was crisp and had a really nice texture; the egg was cooked just how I asked; the bacon a perfect balance of crisp and chewy. I asked for an extra side of avocado (I'm all about getting my fiber) and it arrived at the peak of perfect ripeness. The home fries were tender and savory. Also my cappuccino was delicious. The dining area was very clean and had a faintly rustic feel. The bathroom was also sparkling clean. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes, too, but never felt rushed. There were plenty of vegetarian options. I'm not too sure about it if you have to avoid dairy or gluten; the menu has a lot of that. Handicap access was pretty good: no steps to get in and out of the place. Honestly I can't wait to visit here again!

She gave great recommendations and made the experience even better. Interestingly, both visits we had the same server, and she was consistently kind and welcoming each time. Food: 8/10 The food was very good. On my first visit, I wasn't a huge fan, but the second time was much better. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and my friend really enjoyed her meal as well. I would definitely recommend the food. Ambiance: 8/10 The restaurant has a cozy feel. It's a small space, so it can get a bit loud when it fills up, but the bathroom was very clean, which I appreciated. Overall Experience: A- Great food and a great experience overall. If you're looking for a quick breakfast spot with family or friends, this is a perfect choice. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the atmosphere is cozy.

Our waitress was thoughtful and welcoming, and they even started us off with a free appetizer of banana bread, grapes, and chocolate-filled rolls. What really stood out was how we were treated. The lady with black hair (possibly the owner, if not, she deserves a raise!) was genuinely kind. She took pictures for us, chatted and joked with us, and was consistently attentive. It felt like more than just service--it was hospitality at its finest. Food: (9/10) The food was amazing. The smoked salmon was perfectly cooked inside the eggs and seasoned beautifully nothing bland on the plate. I tried capers for the first time, and the way they worked with the omelet made me a fan for life. The combination of eggs, salmon, and capers was spot on. Major compliments to the chef! Ambiance: (10/10) The restaurant was clean, including the bathroom, which says a lot. In the morning, it had a nice energy customers were eating and chatting, music was playing softly in the background, and the art added to the cozy aesthetic. The space was lively without being overwhelming. Overall: A This place easily made it into my top 5 breakfast restaurants. I'm not usually big on breakfast, but I loved everything about it here. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying everything on the menu.

This was around 11 am on a Monday and the restaurant was pretty full. I ordered the honey butter pancakes, the carrot juice and scrambled eggs. Order to table was probably abot 10-15 minutes. Obviously, the pancakes brought me in and they are DELICIOUS. The portion is huge and very intense, as it is doused and swimming in honey butter and has the sweet compote on top. Its amazing, but definitely a lot. Brought home more than half and it will take me a couple of days to get through it. If you do not have an extreme sweet tooth (I do), these aren't for you. The juice was great-very fresh tasting and not overly sweet. Scrambled eggs are a simple dish, but these were the standout for me because I asked for them scrambled soft and they actually were! Never happens anywhere. Props to the cook! Plus, the eggs weren't seasoned. Just eggs and cheese which I love. I like my eggs to taste like eggs. I will 100% return. Can't wait to try other menu items. I deducted one star due to overall cleanliness. There was some food on my chair and a lot on the floor around my feet. Not a deal breaker, but just slightly off putting for me.

I was looking for a good…read morebrunch place around Villanova area and although this is outside the town, it was an easy commute. This was probably the best breakfast/brunch I've had in a very long time. The service was immaculate. They do not do reservations but if you go early enough, you can get a seat. My wife and I shared the full stack pancakes, and I had the breakfast burrito while she had the chicken waffles (plenty of leftovers). The star of the show were the pancakes. Now I've had a ton of pancakes in my day and make pancakes every single weekend but these were the best pancakes that I've ever had (on the record). I will be going back to this location every time I come back to Pennsylvania.

Sabrina's has been on my brunch places to try for a long time. I chose the Wynnwood location…read morebecause it was one with a shopping center and easier to find a parking place. We went on a Monday around 12pm. It was busy, but we were seated right away. Our waiter (Zacharius) was very nice. He helped my daughter decided between sweet and savory. She decided on Chicken and Biscuits (savory). Little did we know, it was a new item on their menu. It took a little longer to prepare. She didn't mind the wait if it was going to be good. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as anticipated. She said it tasted ok but the chicken was overcooked and the gravy was too thick. She let them know, and they seemed glad for the advice. The waiter said he would let the chef know so he could improve it. I decided on the Brioche French toast w/ strawberries. A side of scrapple and coffee. The French toast just tasted like toasted brioche bread (unfortunately). The syrup did the heavy lifting along with the strawberries to make it good. My advice would be to dip it in the batter (if there was any) longer to give it more flavor. I will not get that again! The coffee was pretty good. I also ordered a side of scrapple. Not telling my age......but I've been around for a while! Never in my life have I ever seen scrapple stand up (see photo). It was hard! Crispy like a potato chip! I was surprised that they had the nerve to serve it to me! I did break a piece off, because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Then I sent it back! I rarely send food back, but this was unexceptable. I must say they soon came back with some properly cooked scrapple. It tasted fine! Lastly, they have metal chairs. The chairs are very uncomfortable. Not sure if this is so you don't stay too long or not, but if that's the strategy....it works! I really don't like to give bad reviews. I try my best to find the positive if I can. Unfortunately this wasn't a very good first vist to Sabrina's for me, but they're staff was very nice and pleasant. The atmosphere and decor (except the hard chairs) was nice as well! That's why they get 2 stars. I will try another location sometime in the future and definitely order something else.
