    Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

But after interviewing several, Stellar Solar and specifically Bryan Stevenson, stood out from all the rest. He showed up prepared on the first visit with a good proposal of what my home could use based on publicly available Google maps and area comps. He didn't try to oversell or pressure me (unlike one well known company) or minimize my expectations because we are a small home with a limited budget. He proposed a rebate plan that was in the future but required waiting. He pointed me to an excellent loan source with amazingly low interest rates. Clearly, this guy knew what he was doing and didn't believe in wasting peoples time or using gimmicks to close a deal. Initially I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get my system activated before the end of the year as another company was threatening as a pressure tactic. But once the battery program was extended, we were installed and activated within 30 days or less. From start to finish, every single person that I interacted with from Stellar were professional, pleasant, efficient and sincere. Now I have a new roof, a new solar panel system and am happily enjoying the benefits of solar energy. I would highly recommend using Stellar Solar to anyone.

Andy arrived at the scheduled time, went over everything with me and had the repair completed in a timely fashion. I really like things to blend in, so when I saw them installing the mounts, I quickly asked Gilberto if we could paint them to match. Without hesitation, he said, "Of course we can," and got it done immediately. What they did next was truly over the top. The team noticed some parts of my roof needed quick maintenance and, without me even asking, they fixed them! They even painted a roof vent that wasn't related to the solar panels just so everything would match perfectly. Kasha and Gilberto did an amazing job, but their customer service is what has me recommending this company to everyone. Even the owner, Gabe, really impressed me. I am so glad I went with them. Many negative complaints stem from the lack of follow-up or follow-thru with commitments after the sale. Getting the panels installed isn't the issue. The issue is getting them services afterwards. For the value, Aloha Solar Power is by far, the best choice for my panels.

TIMELY- Uriel called 30 min before his arrival and then, arrived at the stated time. This is particularly helpful so I can move my bunny to another room with all of his belongings. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - I saw him place a protective cloth down on the floor before he placed the ladder and tools down. I also noticed there was a bottle of cleaner with his supplies. He cleaned the inside vents as well as the compressor on the roof. He also tied off a loose wire/when checking the air handler in the ceiling. KNOWLEDGEABLE and THROROUGH - Uriel did a complete system check and then, he sat down with me to explain what was done and why. He addressed the concerns I had about some of the prior readings in terms that I could understand and shared tips that will help ensure my system runs at its most efficient. Example: A higher MERV doesn't always mean "better" and can actually restrict the airflow. He said that for my particular system I should use a MERV10 filter and change it every 3 months. He changed my filters and then, left me with two spares to use before the fall check comes. FRIENDLY - In the course of chatting with Uriel, it came up that I might benefit from having more filtered air coming into my condo. He made a recommendation for a part that would replace the standalone room air purifier I currently use. He placed this info into the after-visit summary so I can "research it and see if it fits with my needs and finances." There was zero pressure to make a purchase on the spot. And while this next item has nothing to do with the knowledge or ability of an HVAC tech, I greatly appreciate that he did NOT smell like cigarette / e-cigarette smoke or strong cologne as I have a bunny and people in my family have asthma. Isaac was incredible from the very beginning. He communicated with us day and night, always responded right away, and went out of his way to explain every step in a clear and honest way. He was patient, never pushy, and genuinely cared about helping us make the right decision for our home. Even though the timing didn't work out for us this year, it had nothing to do with SolarTech or Isaac. In fact, he did everything he could to help us meet the deadline. When we're ready to restart the solar process, we'll be coming straight back to Isaac. If you're considering solar, definitely ask for him -- you won't find anyone more responsive, knowledgeable, or dedicated.

As someone who relies on word-of-mouth reputation and customer service for my own personal business, this company fails across the board. 1) We had an issue with our solar panels so we called Solar Tech first thing in the morning. The phone operator told us we would get a call back from one of the techs later on that day. FIVE days went by before we even got a response back, and it was in the form of a text message asking us what problems we were having. If a customer is calling you for help, the last thing you should do is make them wait almost a week to get a response, and then have them explain to you what is wrong over text. Very poor professionalism. STRIKE 1. 2) The tech told us the next available appointment was 1 full week away, so not only did we wait FIVE full days for a text response, but we had to wait another full week for any resolution of service. STRIKE 2 3) The day of our appointment, thankfully, we had the first appointment of the day scheduled as we had a very busy day with other obligations so we were hoping to have everything completed by mid morning. After about 4 hours of the company no-show/no-call/no-text, we decided to call the company to find out the status of our appointment. We got a voicemail instead of someone live, so we left a message. A few hours later we finally got a call back saying someone will show up later that day. And they did finally show up at the very end of the workday. STRIKE 3 This was a very VERY disappointing experience. From poor follow up, poor customer service, and just a poor company all around. For someone like me, my sales/service business relies heavy on customer service. I've provided 1000s of recommendations and referrals of vendors for roofing, plumbing, solar, electrical work and more over the last 20 years, and i can say that I will never recommend this company as their lack of customer service would reflect very poorly on me and my business. The last thing I would ever want to do is upset a client or customer as they are the backbone of any business.

It's also for those that desire a review/reflection well after install and activation. My project included: 18 panels, new power panel, new roof (they oversaw and managed it all). My system was operational January 2024. There's a ton of positive to say about Solar Symphony and Billy Pierce (rep I worked with). Here's some highlights that mattered to me: - Billy Pierce is truly a genuine great person and equally an attentive, hard working, meticulous professional. Ask for him if you decide to go with Solar Symphony. You won't regret it. - The cost was very reasonable. They were not the lowest cost, not the highest cost, but instead were very fair and competitive and there was no crap cost or or other unexpected surprise cost, and no goofy excuses for not meeting estimates or expectations throughout the project. If something extra needed to be done it was very clear and made perfect logical sense. - Solar Symphony oversaw all permits, applications, interactions with SDGE, and all scheduling for everything: inspections, installs, meetings, system design; the whole gamut, and provided excellent regular updates from Billy and more so the project manager overseeing the project. - Very Important: When something seemed off, or quality issue, or timing, or any irritation occurred, which is reasonably normal for all projects, especially the size of mine, Solar Symphony was all over it and very happy to step right in to bring order, correction, or reasonable accommodation to the situation. Billy was sooo good for this. One example was with the roofing company they work with/recommended not cleaning up scrap metal and nails as well as I would have desired. Billy put in a call and the roofing folks were out there to make correction. By the way, the roofing company was really excellent too; I went with Protecta Roofing. - I paid one company, which was so nice; Solar Symphony was only company I paid, as they coordinated and handled billing/invoicing for their work, roofing, electrical panel upgrade...all of it. Again, so, so nice! I like to keep it simple and work with one company if possible. - Solar Symphony ensured I was clear on and able to easily identify my available tax credits, which was huge. - Post system activation: awesome follow-up from Billy and team to ensure expectations were met, or exceeded in many cases, and that I understood how to activate and monitor via the Enphase phone app, which is easy and convenient. The system has been meeting power production expectations and humming along just as described from the pre-sale discussions. So nice to be on perfectly working solar! I hope this is helpful, as I could truly go on about the great service and system performance but I need to go eat dinner...lol. Good luck and do yourself a solid and closely consider the info I've provided.

    I cannot recommend this company. While they installed my system in 2018, and it was a very good…read moreexperience I am not sure what happened since. Now I need service for an issue and the phone lines are jammed, they don't return calls or email to their service dept. and it's been weeks since I can get help on an issue with my system. When they do call they don't have the answers needed to set up a service call and are trying to overcharge ($1400 to install a less then $200 part). Service center calls are not answered in Escondido but in Mexico. I would suggest find a local company who can help when you have issues.
