Found a car I was ready to go and test drive and hopefully purchase as I'm out of a car unexpectedly. Charles took my info to run through financing to get me the best deal ever! Come to find out the owner wanted to give the car to his family from my understanding, even after I had set up a test drive for the next morning. Take a look at the other stuff was the next option. This took place within the same day. Be careful With them. read more

I do not recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership. I purchased a car, and the very next day the brakes started making a loud squeaking noise. When I returned for assistance, they were unwilling to help or take responsibility for the issue. To make matters worse, they delivered the vehicle with almost no gas in the tank. The lack of customer service and support after the sale was extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

Outstanding! My experience with PerfectAuto was Perfect. Everyone was helpful, cheerful, and efficient. As for my dealings with Jimmy Byrd who sold me my car, let me say with all honesty, he is the best I've ever dealt with at a dealership over a lifetime of 60 years. Jimmy is knowledgeable about the big and little issues. He is straight and honest in his answers. He is a terrific salesman and it doesn't hurt that he is one of the friendliest fellows imaginable. My wife and two adult children agreed that Jimmy treats customers the way you wish all of them did. I thought buying a car was supposed to be a hardship, not a delightful and productive experience. I test drove the car during the day and it turned dark as I drove home. A headlight alert came on. Because an alert was on the car, certain functions like the remote start did not work. The next day, I noticed a missing panel on the front. I reached out via email and phone over multiple days, often being transferred form person to person with no answers. Despite being told each time I reached out that someone would contact me, I was never ONCE called and always had to initiate contact. I asked for documentation of disclosure and after days of back and forth, was told they were not required to disclose that the lights were changed with off brand parts causing an alert or that parts were missing. The price to fix-$4000. They said they were not responsible and the reason the car was a good deal was because of the flaws they did not feel the need to disclose. I tried giving them a week to address the issues, but was ultimately essentially told, it's your problem now. RUN AWAY!!! If you do decide to purchase a vehicle from them, please have a mechanic check it out before signing anything, get your own Carfax report (they use an alternative service), and test EVERY SINGLE FEATURE they advertise on the vehicle, every window, every button, everything, or risk it doesn't work and they feel they didn't have to disclose that. I have never posted reviews, but after thinking about what I have gone through in the past week, I wanted to try to warn anyone else from trusting this business, so they did not end up like I have. read more

We had a very good experience with this dealership. They have a good selection of inventory and the cars are all sparkling clean, unlike others we had visited. Our salesman, Jay, was very professional, accommodating and low pressure. Word of advice, definitely have any car you buy inspected by a mechanic BEFORE you purchase it. We did it after the sale and did find an issue. However, the manager Mustafa, handled it with total integrity. We resolved it under the warranty exactly as agreed. We would purchase from them again. read more

I purchased a BMW from them in July and also purchased an extended warranty. 10 days later the check engine light came on and I took it to a BMW dealership to have it checked out. Upon further investigation someone had installed the incorrect fuel injector and it failed but also ruined the cylinder head and the total to fix the vehicle is around $12,000.00. Here it is, December and my vehicle is still sitting at BMW because the extended warranty said it was a "pre-existing" condition and they weren't going to take care of it and perfect auto told me I signed an "as is" agreement so it's not their problem and for 5 months I have had to borrow someone's car just to make it to work everyday. This is poor customer service and to think I was a returning customer. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone! They are scam artist! read more

Went to this place looking for a used truck and it would not start. Are you kidding me NO one came out when we first got there. The guy blamed the truck not starting because of cold weather. He had to jump it before it started. We took it 10 blocks and it was a foul odor coming from the vents inside the truck. When we got back from a test drive, we told him and he said there's probably a leak somewhere. It wasn't the drive. Buyers please BEWARE! read more

THEY SELL LEMONS I purchased a vehicle from Perfect Auto in November 2021. After months and months in the Repair shops and $15,000 dollars later - I can finally drive the vehicle I originally spent $64,000 for. This dealership is awful. I wish there was a zero star option. Very Poor at marketing and sales etiquette. The Indian financial associate acted as if he was the buyer with a very strong creditor offensive attitude. No knowledge on building clientele and meeting customers demands. NEVER BUY ANYCARS FROM HERE. They expect you to pay for all the repairs they have done with him purchase fees. Their cars have problems that they hide until you take it to an inspector to find out. DON'T GO. YOU'LL REGRET IT. read more

I wish I could award zero stars. Perfect Auto (8132 Sudley Rd.) sold me a 2010 Infiniti with a sludged engine. Infiniti brought it to my attention less than two months after I purchased the vehicle. It takes a MINIMUM of 12-15 months of neglect for an engine to sludge - but Perfect Auto says the vehicle was "PERFECT" when they sold it to me. Literally. The window sticker says, verbatim, "excellent condition and covered by the remaining Infiniti Factory Warranty." Neither of those things were true and now I'm out $10k or more. Don't trust these guys. Play a fun game! When they promise you something, try to get them to put it ON THE RECORD in an email. It's like pulling teeth. I have filed with VA Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau and am exploring legal options. If anyone would like to know more about my situation - message me. I'd be happy to share the details. read more

Just plain shady. This place reminded me so much of a stereotypical used car dealer. I went to look at a car I had seen online. First the price on the car was significantly higher than the one listed online. I looked around the car and it seemed to be in decent shape, but when I asked for a test drive the salesman balked. He asked when I was considering buying and how I was planning to pay, and told me he wouldn't let me have a test drive unless I was serious about buying immediately and discussed financing first. I simply walked away at that point. First, I'm not committing to anything until I test drive the car. Second, you don't discuss payment until a price is negotiated. High pressure tactics, rude attitude, and one lost customer. read more

I went to this dealership with my uncle yesterday inquiring about their 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid that was posted on cars. com. They had that and a 2004 too. They took both as trade ins. I was interested in the 2003. We asked the young rep about hybrids, he told us what little he knew. We took the car out for a test drive. All went well. We came back to the office. We reviewed the carfax. We asked why the "airbags were replaced", the car was taken to a honda dealership for 3 yrs prior to them acquiring it. They had no idea but they gave their theories. We asked more questions about alarm system, previous owners, etc. We told them the rotors on the 2 front wheels were worn and will have to be replaced. My uncle at this point did the talking and mentioned we were on a budget and those rotors will cost a few hundred to replace. Most of the answers to our questions, "the car passed VA inspection and their in house mechanic checked out vehicle". VA inspection is a minimum standard, doesn't mean the car doesn't need work soon or shortly. The young rep said we know his offer $4999, "what was our offer?" My uncle said $4500. The rep said let me check my numbers and went to his computer. He said he couldn't work with that. HE NEVER COUNTERED. He said unfortunately we want to move this car off the lot. We specialize in luxury cars. We want to move this car out and we're not making money off of it. None of this made any sense. If you want to move it, why didn't you counter? Why didn't he state "I could have worked with you for $4800 or $4900. He just said no and shook my Uncle's hand. And we walked out. And if you're not making money off of it which is bullshit, you would never list the price as $4999, you would post higher because people who know to negotiate will do so and your goal is to always make money. You don't pay $4999 and then sell for $4999, that makes no sense what so ever. It was the most baffling experience. I spoke to a friend who is a used cars salesman and he said the whole scenario made no sense. I don't know if it's because we asked several questions. We asked about their warranty which was 30 days on engine & transmission. We came informed. My uncle has bought many cars over the years. If the young rep wasn't going to budge on $4999, why did he ask what's your offer? To ask that question means there was room to maneuver. Even if we didn't come in at the right price in his mind, if you really want the car moved, you counter. Any car salesman would never allow a person to just walk with no offer to look at another car. No one took our contact information down, which is also unusual. The young rep was like a robot. Monotone. Not someone you want to do business with. Not friendly. Just very business but the boring kind of business type. This was not about financing a $4999 vehicle. We told them we would pay for the car yesterday. They would have gotten rid of the car. The young rep's possible father or the older gentleman watched the entire transaction takes place so maybe this is how they conduct business. The other odd thing was I mentioned I would call the honda dealership that serviced the car and noted "airbags were replaced" on Monday. The older gentleman and young rep both reminded me about doing that after we made the offer. Why would they do that? I just made the offer so that means I must not be that concerned with the airbags being replaced. As business people, you don't remind me of a possible issue I need to look into. I made an offer. They had stated they care about their reputation. They sell to different parts of the US, like Chicago. They get a lot of recommendations from people. Them reminding me to call the honda dealership, I don't think that was about their reputation. A dealership is always in the business of making money. You don't remind me of an issue I need to look into after I just made an offer. I don't know if this is how Afghannies conduct business. I don't know if this is how things work in Virginia. At the end of the day, so many conspiracy theories but the way business was conducted was not appropriate nor normal. That dealership had the car in their possession for 3 weeks. read more

Not sure what it is with me and auto dealers, but I've just never gotten along with them. Maybe it's the belief that they're going to try and screw you as much as they can, and just the fact that it's a mentality of going to battle. The trip was actually not that bad, and they were pretty helpful, but there were a couple of things that warranted a two-star review. One, as soon as a car had been purchased, the warning light came on to check both the back light and to get an oil change. Really? The very next time I drive off in the car? To their credit, they offered me an oil change if I would take the car back, but living close to DC, it's almost an hour away. Why in the world would I ever drive 2 hours round trip for an oil change? Needless to say, I paid for that myself. Two, though an agreement on price was struck based on an "out the door" price, a small 45 dollars charge was stuck on at the end. When they called me later on in the week and asked me how things were and I told them that I was a little upset simply over the principle of the matter, Alex the salesman's reply was "well, you could just go somewhere else." Great customer service Alex, thanks very much. Finally, there was no emissions inspection done on this car. I had to go get it done myself, mail it in, and then have them give me plates for the car. Don't know if this is standard practice, but kind of annoying. Plus, I was under the assumption that they just had the plates available but no, this is something that will take weeks. My whole feeling on this was that this place, and car dealerships in general, could make people a lot happier if they just concentrated on some of the smaller things. You have no idea how someone's perception can change even over the smallest things like oil changes and minor charges. read more

Henry Amaya is very low energy and doesn't respond. I'm not surprised to see similar complaints. Do not recommend.

Wish I could leave zero stars. I purchased a 2014 bmw 435i from here less than two years ago and it was the most shady experience I have ever had buying a car. I can't believe that I even went through with the purchase considering how hostile the environment is there. The salesmen are absolutely rude and pushy. They assume anyone that comes in is a sucker and knows nothing about cars. The worst part is after the purchase. Each and every time I called them for something pertaining to my car, they treat you like you're bothering them and wasting their time of money isn't going into their pockets. Today I got rid of my bmw that I purchased from them less than 2 years ago because it was giving me nothing but problems. They sell cars they have not been taken care of and you'll ultimately be the one to pay for it. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

should be called the worst auto rental. firstly, don't ever book a reservation with them via priceline because you will get accepted and booked through the website but not guaranteed pickup. Secondly, they fail to tell you in addition to the price of the rental an additional $200.00 is required at purchase. Have chime banking, cash app, or any other app related debit card? well too bad for you because they do not accept chime or any app related cards due to its "prepaid card look". After two attempts at purchase we were told that it wasn't going to happen due to an unknown error or decline in their system. The staff is reluctant to even ask for assistance from higher ranked staff. The person who was supposedly in charge looked like a 12 year old child who even explained she herself had never even rented a car. (how can you help someone when you've never done it yourself) we were not the only people experiencing issues it seemed everyone who was helped by this child was having problems. all and all i would not recommend using this place for any rental endeavors. read more

About a Lexus there. I went home and discovered that the key fob if it had was for Toyota. I went to put gas in it and realized that there was no gas cap. The last straw was I went to turn on the radio and the display looked like it had been in water. I called them up and gave them an opportunity to fix all three of these things. they decided not to. I decided to return the car. At that point one of the short skinny ones said I guess you're not a real buyer. Which is ironic because I paid cash for the car. at that point I proceeded to tell him what I thought of him and his dealership. It took 5 days for the bank to transfer my money back. Ironically a couple years later I talk to a coworker of mine who had trouble with the auto dealership. He actually had to sue them because they sold him a flood car and didn't disclose it. Turns out it was the same place. read more

I purchased a car from these guys and it came with about an additional $4000 worth of damage and fixing up. The dealer insisted that nothing was wrong with the vehicle and it was a pure lie. When I asked about the gas cap and the engine check light they told me a lie and showed me a bogus receipt from a Land Rover parts supplier. Rover gas caps have warning writing all over them, not blank. When I asked, after the first breakdown, one day after ownership, will the fix it, they hung in to their limited warranty. Cost me $2000. When I asked about the potential damage to the differential, they said I damaged it. I've owned Land Rovers for 8 years and worked on them myself. I am sure I did not damage it after 2 days of driving. When I asked about the failed state inspection items for having a evaporative purge light on and two worn out tie rods ( I had the inspection done by a Land Rover dealership) they said what damage. Bad coolant reserve bottle sensor, bad parking sensors, none of the fluids serviced( differential, engine, and brake fluid). If you want a car from these guys, do yourself a favor, get a dealer inspection. read more

I purchased a 2 year-old car here, and I should have had a mechanic look at it first. I did not, which is my bad. The car is a lemon, but the dealership had to have know it, too. Many of the issues could only have developed because of poor maintenance. Caveat Emptor. read more

I worked with Fred to purchase a 2012 Mercedes C-300 and it was an amazing experience. I had found the car online through USAA's car buying service and arrived with financing in place. Very quickly after arriving I was off on a test drive. He asked all questions I had about the car and was very knowledgeable about my options. Once I decided I wanted the car, he discussed the interest rate I'd already received with the manager, who was able to secure me financing at an even better rate. I have very little car buying experience and have heard many horror stories, but working with Perfect Auto was a wonderful experience and definitely made me a lot more comfortable with the whole process. :D read more

Horrible place to purchase car. Car broke down soon as I bought the car. Horrible customer service.

My husband and I stopped by Perfect Auto early this year interesting in one of the beautiful cars they had on the lot. We were very impressed with the fine selections of cars they have but we felt in love with a BMW 750I (fully loaded) They made it so easy for us to purchase this car & transaction went very smoothly, no hassles. Every one who works for this company is very courteous and professional. Financing wasn't an issue, they were very helpful. Furthermore they handled the car very clean, like a brand new car. They gave us very helpful info about its care. Overall we feel we not only did business with staff and management of Perfect Auto, we feel we have made new friends and we look forward to buying another vehicle from this company and referring them to all our families and friends. My family and I are very selective when purchasing car and consider to be a great investment. So going forward we know where to go to purchase our cars because Perfect Auto have created the best customer experience when purchasing a car, ever. And we love this exceptional BMW, we feel we got it a great deal, in addition to their friendship and honestly when selling a car. Thank you All! Lamont Mckenzie & Nury Mena read more

Dishonest. I purchased a 2013 BMW here, and when I came to pick it up, they informed me that there was only one key. Then, they berated me; saying I should have know that sometimes used cars only came with one key. It cost me another $460 to have another key made. read more

I went to Perfect auto to buy a 2005 Saab. While the sales man Henry was great, the manager was less then honest on the other hand. The car I bought is the base model. When the manager and I had a disagreement on the True Market Value of the car. It came to my attention that he was looking up the Areo version of the car all the while trying to pass it off as he was looking up the price of the Linear (which the car really is). Needless to say when buying a car and the manager is saying it's a good deal and shows you what the TMV is make sure he is looking up the proper model. read more

I must share the wonderful experience I had purchasing a car from Perfect Auto this week. I had researched the vehicle I was considering, called ahead and spoke with sales consultant, Jon Sharifi. He was courteous and informative on the phone as he answered questions about the vehicle. I did not feel rushed, nor was he pushy. I decided to drive out to check out the car, a 2012 Audi A-5 convertible. I wasn't sure if I liked the interior color, but, after taking a drive with Jon, I quickly decided that I loved the car. Never, once did I feel rushed to purchase or was talked down to in any way. Jon and Alex (the very experienced manager) took the time to go over the car with me and had their service person prep the car for me to pick up later that night. Jon and Alex were both enjoyable to talk with as we worked out a final price. When I arrived later in the evening to complete all paperwork, I spent quite a bit of time with Alex; he made sure I understood everything (tags, title, etc.) and went over the additional warranty I decided to purchase for the car. Both Jon and Alex stayed late for me to pick up my car, giving up whatever plans they may have had. This experience was one of the best car buying experiences I have had in my 42 years of driving. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat! AND...the best part... I LOVE MY CAR!! Lisa S. from Herndon, VA read more

Called dealership to schedule test drive of used car. No mention of check engine light in ad or on phone. I drove 1 hour to find that car major issue. Check engine light *suddenly* came on and was advised to not even bother with test drive and to look at other cars. Cylinder 3 had trouble. This is usually a bad sign. This should have been vetted before the ad went up. Guy was quick to try to push other cars. You shouldn't do business this way. Don't post an ad unless you test the car with several test drives and push the engine in some stress test. Wasted my gas and my time. I am reading the reviews here and looks like I am not the only one feeling suspicious of this dealership. Also notable was the fact that this is a holiday weekend where typically you see a lot of car deals, and while all the neighboring dealerships down the street have people in the lot looking at cars, nobody was at this place but me. Not a good sign. If the dealership responds to tell me they fixed the issue with this car (Audi A3), and they are willing to pay for my gas, I'll post an update. read more
