The majority of my sale/process was done online. While the experience itself was generally straightforward and the staff were friendly, I'm giving 1 star for the following reasons: 1. Estimated lease payment based on the parameters I gave on their website was not offered after credit check and I had the satisfactory required credit score and could not be explained. Was offered $100/mo more originally. Sales person tried to explain it as needing the required down payment but my calculation was first month payment only. It took unnecessary negotiation/prying for them to magically get closer to that monthly price, but still off $20-30/mo. 2. It was not disclosed until after the credit check and agreed upon numbers that it was a demo vehicle (4500 miles) used by the GM that nobody seemed to be aware of until the sale. Very convenient. It was not shown on the listing as a demo vehicle and showed "5 mi" on said listing. It's a lease so I don't care that much but feel like I should have been given an even better offer because it's technically used, moreso because the better number they gave was BEFORE "realizing" it was a GM loaner. 3. Spent 2 hours waiting for the vehicle to be cleaned/ready despite being told to show up whenever the next day. My intent was to avoid all of the unnecessary waiting at the dealership. 4. Post sale nobody (i.e. sales rep) wants to electronically answer a relatively simple question about a possible missing accessory. read more

My husband and I visited this dealership on October 12th after seeing a Ram Rebel in their online inventory. We drove all the way from Fredericksburg, VA, ready to purchase this truck, but we left extremely disappointed and concerned with how misleading the listing was. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that the vehicle was falsely advertised. There was a fresh paint chip and ding on the exterior (with no visible rust, meaning it occurred while sitting on their lot), as well as multiple scuffs and dings and understandable for a three-year-old truck, but still not what was shown online. The window tint was below the AS-1 line, and were told front windows had 5% yet somehow this truck passed inspection just a month ago. There was also some visible rust underneath, which we expected given its origin, but what truly alarmed us was the condition of the windshield wipers the rubber was completely torn off, making them unusable. The front tires were worn out and needed replacement, which raised serious concerns about what else was overlooked if basic maintenance wasn't even addressed. The truck also wasn't cleaned before showing, despite us confirming our visit in advance. We voiced these concerns to the sales associate, Mishelle, who unfortunately handled the situation very poorly. She dismissed our concerns, claiming the windshield tint was "factory," and even suggested the wiper damage must have happened an hour ago which made no sense given the condition. For a dealership that knew we were traveling a long distance to see this truck, the lack of preparation and honesty was extremely disappointing. We proceeded with the test drive, which went fine, but when we returned to discuss numbers, the experience worsened. When we mentioned we were already pre-approved through our bank, Mishelle's attitude shifted noticeably. We pointed out the roughly $3,000 worth of needed repairs, expecting a reasonable discussion about adjusting the price. Instead, she spoke to us in a condescending tone, saying, "It's a three-year-old vehicle," and offered "lifetime state inspections" (which only confirmed our suspicion that they may be illegally passing vehicles). Her unprofessional behavior continued--she laughed and shook her head while walking to the printer. At that point, I told my husband we were leaving. We weren't about to spend over $40,000 at a dealership that treats customers like that. It was clear that because we're a younger couple, we were judged and not taken seriously--despite being ready to buy that day. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy or service a vehicle. The way this truck was presented and the way we were treated were both unacceptable. read more

Bought my 2025 KIA Soul today, trading in my 2009 Fusion. This is the second KIA we've bought from this dealership. We also have a 2024 Telluride. John spent three days finding me exactly the car that I wanted. Ayham made the financial part easy and quick. Jonathon, our service advisor, made sure that the car I was driving home had no recalls. The worst car buying experience I've ever had. I flew across the country to co-sign for my friend (credit score 780) and we spent 4 days at this dealership just trying to finalize the purchase. Day 1: 5 hours, no car. Day 2: Returned, still no car. Day 3: Told we needed an SS letter (not available until Monday). Day 4: Finally got the car. No paperwork or instructions were ever mailed about payments--my friend had to spend 5 hours on the phone with the finance company just to figure out how to make the first payment. They also promised a free oil change, but when she went in, they tried to charge her over $200. This dealership is incompetent, disorganized, and does not honor its promises. I have purchased 10 new cars in my life and have never experienced anything like this. I will be filing a complaint with KIA corporate. read more

They were going to charge me almost 1000.00 for six safety recalls for my 2023 KIA Sportage! It only has 5,000 miles and has been problematic from the beginning! The main concern is that my first title dated 1/3.23 clearly says I was driving a KIA telluride however on 3/3/24 I received another title with the correct information on it! The KIA connect and the Ourisman Promise updated their warranty on April 10th and it is a joke!!! I gave them a perfect emailed survey and the salesman said they would give me a full tank of gas and a detail! Today the service advisor denied ever writing that on my buyers order!! I purchased a new Telluride on the first weekend of January 2025. After signing all of the paperwork they realized that they could not find the second key fob. I was promised by the salesperson that he would follow up and never did. He also lied about being able to have one mailed. I know now that is not technically possible. I spoke with him the following week and reminded him via phone. After three weeks, I left a voice mail and he did not return my call. I decided to visit in-person again. I discovered that the salesperson had left. I spoke to a pair of sales managers while there. While I left with another pledge to follow up after having one of them smirk and shrug at me. It was the most unprofessional dealership experience I've ever had. I towed in my 2016 Soul, at 98k with CEL on, difficulties with acceleration, and vibrations. I take good care of this car, but we all know that Kia has engine issues. In fact, this dealership already worked on my car last summer, and it was a positive experience. This time around, they kept my car for almost three weeks, with little to no information. My partner and I kept calling, and after long, long time on hold, no one returned our calls. The dealership was feeding us lies such as the car being in assembly (wasn't even diagnosed yet), they emailed/faxed some paperwork (they didn't and they don't have a fax machine at the dealership), an employee named Mary provided incorrect information (there is no Mary there in any department to confirm or deny). We asked, begged, and threatened, and after all, they said that the engine was fine but spark plugs and ignition coil had to be replaced. They wanted to charge us stupid price of $700+ for something as simple. Somehow, we negotiated to $460 and were able to pick up the car late afternoon Dec 29th. To my great surprise, the car exhibited the same issues less than 48h after I picked it up. I barely made it up my driveway that night! My partner and I tried to contact the service advisor and the service department manager without any success until we finally got a hold of a GM of the dealership. They didn't admit their fault but agreed to refund us the cost of the parts but not the one of the labor. After all, I had to tow my car yet again, to another Kia dealership where it was fix within 3 hours for absolutely free. Funny enough, the problem was the exact one I asked Kia Manassas to check, and they assured me that they did. Stay away from this messy, unprofessional establishment that only cares about the money they can get from an oblivious customer. read more

Take it in to a local safety inspection place and apparently the headlight assemblies and bulbs were not DoT approved so it failed inspection and got a rejection sticker. Additionally, the salesman was neither personable nor interested in educating me on the features of the vehicle. He simply got my a permission slip to test drive the vehicle and walked away, no attempt to even discuss the vehicle. The worst was yet to come . The sales manager came over after he attempted to value my trade at insultingly low price. The manager was condescending,rude,and had overall terrible attitude. I purchased a used van from Safford Brown Kia Manassas about a month ago. I noticed before I signed the paperwork that one of the key fobs did not work (I tried new batteries at that point). Their service department was closed, so they wrote me an IOU saying they took responsibility as they pressured me to close the sale. I returned within a week, and they said they could not fix the key in their service department, but they had a third-party key company they work with. I gave my number and followed up several times with Gerard, one of the managers. He finally got me on the phone with the key guy after a couple of weeks of me calling. The key guy misunderstood me and believed the issue was resolved, but I walked away from that one conversation waiting for them to call me back to schedule a date. I then called back a few days later, asking what happened. Gerard said he would call the key guy and then call me back. I heard nothing that day and then called back daily over the next 4 days, but no Gerard. I left a couple of voicemails and front desk messages for Gerard, but he did not return my calls. By the time I got ahold of him, he gave me his number and said he would get the key guy to call me. The key guy did not reach out, and Gerard ignored my calls again for the next couple of weeks until, finally, Gerard pushed me back to the original salesman after the most recent note I left with the front desk. Each call was the same, I would say, my key fob does not work, and I have not heard anything regarding when this is going to get fixed. Gerard and the salesmen would reply that it is weird. The key guy said this was resolved, but they would call the key guy to get an appointment set. After I called back the last two days, I finally got the direct number today to call the key guy from the salesman. I called the key guy, and the misunderstanding was cleared with one quick conversation, and I finally have an appointment scheduled. The problem is that the salesmen told me that Gerard had said he might not cover the cost of the fix at this point because it has been over 30 days. Hopefully, they honor their responsibility, but I don't have high hopes. I at least have the history of my 40+ calls, the emails, the manager-signed IOU, and the text messages to Gerard that I can turn over to my lawyer. In my mind, if the customer keeps calling with the same issue over and over, then maybe you are not doing your due diligence. What a waste of hours of my time at this point. My personal belief is that being calm and collected is the only real way to approach life, and I feel my demeanor over the phone was misunderstood or gave the impression that I could be ignored. I tried different approaches as Gerard was obviously not working for me, but despite my efforts to talk to other managers, they would not intervene because I had "started working" with Gerard. My requests to talk to Gerard's manager were also brushed aside. My 1 star rating reflects the poor customer service they provided in the above story. This place does a great job when it comes to the care and customer service they give you when servicing your car, but I can never figure out what takes so darn long! I had an appt today at 8am and it still took 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. So be prepared to wait! On the bright side, everyone here is very nice, the waiting area is very clean with free wifi, water, snacks, and coffee. They also hand wash your car and vacuum it. So its a little give and take. I can't speak highly enough of Pedro, my salesman, and the experience I had with him purchasing my new Kia. I had gone to a different Kia dealership earlier in the day and decided to stop in and see what stock Brown's Kia had in comparison to the other as they seemed to have more of a selection on line. The salesman at that dealership also didn't seem like he wanted to be bothered nor was he forthcoming with information about the brand which I found very offputting. That dealership also wasn't easy to navigate. The sales manager introduced me to Pedro. Pedro did a great job asking leading questions, getting information about my needs, and making spot on recommendations. Not only that but he knew about other cars in my price range and needs from competitors and was able to offer insight in to them - insight which aligned itself to other review websites when I did research later on. I left the dealership and then called him later in the day to ask if I could schedule a test drive. After finishing said drive during which I reiterated what I was looking to spend we made the deal happen. Throughout the entirety of the experience Pedro was exceptional. The only gripe I have, which I also mentioned when I finished the survey sent to me by Kia, is the online advertising price. Be sure to read the fine print. The fine print explains the additional costs which is the reason I didn't decide to do business elsewhere (I don't like when I feel lied to) and, frankly, all the other dealerships I looked at online did the exact same thing so the practice isn't specific to this one. I don't understand why they don't just list the costs up front - bottom line on the car, plus whatever dealer package, plus delivery/freight, minus whatever incentives they have going on. Everybody knows you have to pay taxes, tags, and titling extra. I completely agree with folks and theyre being annoyed at going to a dealership based on an online price only to be told you're looking at an additional $1k-2k in things before t,t, and t. All in all I came out with a 2020 Forte GT a decent amount under MSRP and I would have no hesitation recommending Brown's Kia to anybody. read more

Stopped in today to look at some Kia Niro's. When I walked in one of the salesman there asked me if I had an appointment. (Didn't realize I needed an appointment to look at a new car). Then he said they were short staffed today and asked if I could have a seat for a few minutes. About 10 minutes later 2 other folks come in and the same salesman comes out and says he will be right with them. He then comes back over to me and ask what I'm looking at. I told him I wanted to take a look at the Niros. We go outside and he starts looking at different cars as he doesn't seem to know what the Niro looks like. He then proceeds to tell me he is new and there is only 2 of them working today and wanted to know if I could come back tomorrow because the 2 people who just came in had an appointment. Do not go in with a trade. I priced my trade-in value using KBB. I was cautious, and if I wasn't sure which condition something fell into, I chose the lower condition, so I would be prepared for the lowest possible trade-in value. Their offer came in significantly lower than the low end (and only about 75% of the high end trade value according to KBB). I had done my research before walking in and had already planned for the worst by including all the bad facts in my valuation - even some I wasn't sure of. I may have been prepared for the worst, but I wasn't prepared for that. When I was ready to walk out over it, they then tried to give me the low end of the KBB value, despite the fact that their sister store sells my current car and they have a certified shop that could do any needed repairs cheaply. I declined, took my keys, and left. Beyond that, the salesman, Hari, was helpless. Any time I asked a question, he had to go to his manager. When he brought the car around, he actually scraped the front corner against another car, causing a scratch to two lights, some of the plastic, and scraping off the paint on the corner of the vehicle. While he offered to have it touched up, he didn't offer any price reduction, knowing that it needed more than a just a touch up. It needed a new blinker light housing and to have the plastic around that light replaced. He kept taking the manager outside to look at it. The manager looked skeptically at me and, based on what Hari offered, I imagine told him not to offer anything except the touch up. Their business model seems to be getting people in with a "dealer happy price," which, to be fair, was far lower than all of the other dealers in the area. If you're going in for your first car, I'm sure it would be a great experience (the only reason they got the second star). However, going in with a trade, they'll lowball you to make up for what they're losing on sales. If I had let them, they would have robbed me blind AND kept me there for hours. read more

We got all the features and settled on a 2015 Kia Sorento SXL. The paperwork that is normally draining seemed very simple and with his guidance we made choices that were in our best interest. Unfortunately the finance managers had a client they were handling, however John kept us entertained and the wait seemed minimal. The team stayed late into the night to complete our deal and set us up with the BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE. This extra $1000 fee is never mentioned in the lease agreement/contract and cannot be waived. I purchased another lease a month ago from ourisman chantilly Kia and they had no such fee. The poorly-run Service Department has me wishing I had never purchased a Kia. I've dealt with promises that were made during the sales process not being kept. a faulty online appointment interface, and a manager (Michele Bolden) who doesn't seem to give a damn (or show up on time to work - she wasn't yet in when I arrived for my 7:30 appointment, so her assistant had to fill out a night deposit form because all my paperwork was locked up). I am currently driving around in a car with a door that will not lock because these people A. sell faulty vehicles and B. are in no hurry to fix them. I discovered the door lock was faulty when everything was stolen out of my car. Thanks, Kia! When I took the POS in to get it repaired (it's only 14 months old), I was told they didn't have the part...but it would be in Tuesday! Promise! No problem! I love taking days off work while you guys use flashlights to examine holes in the ground. I wasn't surprised when I didn't receive an update on Tuesday. That's sort of how they work.
