The coffee here is always so good! Check the seasonal offerings there's always really good stuff! Food portions are huge and we always have leftovers! Stopped here last weekend to grab a coffee and a pastry to go on our way up to Oshkosh, upon my mom's suggestion. There are two doors to get into Perc Place; one for the coffee shop side and one for the cafe side, which makes it easy to get in and grab a coffee and go. They've got plenty of quirky decor to spot as you wait for your drink. The shop has a cutesy small town feel, as it's located in downtown Hartford. I was happy to see they had a few seasonal drinks to choose from, such as a White Christmas mocha and a Gingerbreadman drink (with vanilla chai and gingerbread). I opted for the iced Sugar Cookie latte with almond, vanilla and marshmallow syrups. Coffee shop regulars will recognize the Monin syrup they use to craft different flavored drinks. They've got a pretty wide variety to choose from if you want to make your own combination, ranging from apple to blackberry and hibiscus to mango. They also had a few pastries made in-house such as a moist blueberry scone that my mom ordered, and a massive and decadent double chocolate muffin sourced from Elegant Farmer. If I lived nearby, I'd count this as a solid local spot. read more

Cute place. Good service. My medium burger was rare. I ate half. Pointed out to the server the burger was rare. The cook Maria? came out and argued that the burger was cooked correctly. I brought up online pictures of what a medium burger looks like. Cook argued loudly with us. We just asked again for the check. We were told she didn't like the way we were speaking to her. Cook said we needed to be kind. We asked for the check. After paying the check. The cook proceeded to walk outside the restaurant after we left. Cook yelled we need to treat people kindly. Cook asked us to never come back. We were calm and kind. We both worked in the dining industry and service industries. Disappointed in how this was handled. We both handled high level complaints in our work. Listen to the customer and what they have to say. Repeat back to the customer what you hear the customer saying. Had no wait for table for 2 Sunday10/6/24. Demi waitress suggested special smoked salmon Benedict. Served onto potato pancake with lemon dill hollandaise Also included fresh fruit cup with honey poppyseed drizzle. Amazing combinations and Soo tasty. Had white chocolate mocha topped with whipped cream. Best ever My husband had country sausage omelette topped with gravy Included fried potatoes and English muffin. Came here on the recommendation of a Facebook group. I used to work in the area so I was familiar with Perc Place but only as a coffee shop, not a full restaurant. I went for a late lunch hoping to miss the crowds but it was still pretty busy, which isn't a bad thing. The food was very tasty but that Mac and cheese has me wanting to go back. Hartford is really becoming a fun hotspot for restaurants with Perc Place anchoring that movement. Next time I am in the area, I will be back to try other food items. read more

Perc Place caught my eye because of their unique mozzarella triangles, which are basically just big mozzarella sticks in triangle shape. Their typical hours aren't conducive to stopping at night, so I stopped on the way home from dinner at another restaurant in Hartford because they happen to be open on a Friday night. I ordered mozzarella triangles and a blue moon ice rage to go. I'm not sure what kind of cheese is in the mozzarella triangles, but I wasn't a fan of it. Thankfully the marinara had a strong flavor that I enjoyed so I used that to mask the flavor of the cheese. Before ordering the blue moon ice rage I asked if it contained alcohol or coffee. The hostess had to check on the coffee part, but she said no it didn't contain either alcohol or coffee and was sort of like an ice cream blended drink. I went ahead and ordered it and got to my car before I tried it. To me, I thought I tasted coffee/cappuccino/espresso and, to a less important extent, it was more green than blue. I went back in and talked to the hostess and another person that I assume was the manager. They assured me it didn't have coffee in it, but offered to make me a different flavor ice rage. I couldn't tell if the second one was vanilla or something like the cream part of cookies and cream, but it's along those lines. Always a wide variety of traditional foods and the weekly specials are amazing. If you are a coffee lover, they have anything and can customize it to your hearts desire. went for Father's Day and the food was very disappointing. first meal my husband didn't finish and we are talking simple food bacon and eggs. he didn't like any of it including the cereal coffee. The only reason I'm giving it two starts is our server was fantastic. This use to be our favorite place to go but it was awful and the price was outrageous. so very sad. read more

After having a great meal at Perc Place (we waited a long time to be served) with 3 of my girlfriends, my husband and I decided to go there for breakfast. The place is so quaint & beautifully decorated for Christmas! We made a reservation & we were greeted & seated immediately. The menus we received did not have their breakfast items so we waited for breakfast menus. After waiting again, we ordered a soda & a latte. The caramel mocha latte was good but barely warm. We ordered our food & waited a long time again. When the food finally came, my husband asked for syrup for his pancakes. No one ever came back to check on us. He ate my English muffin & my side of potatoes. I was hungry & I'm not a picky eater so I ate my NOT poached medium eggs and my NOT crispy corned beef hash. When we paid I asked the hostess if she knew my husband was unable to eat his pancakes bc he never received syrup. The reason I'm writing this review is bc she never responded. No sorry about that - or we took that charge off the bill - just no response at all. I understand restaurants are most often understaffed & understand mistakes happen. However, a simple apology would've made all the difference. We will not return. read more

A local breakfast spot in Hartford WI that has a cozy, family living room like ambience, with tons of breakfast options, a full coffee bar and cocktail options too. I was hesitant to come here after reading reviews that the employees were not wearing masks, but when I came in I noticed every employee had one on! Below is the food we ordered: - chicken and waffles; I wouldn't order again, the chicken was extremely greasy. I'd only do the waffle! - breakfast burrito; this was good! - Mayan mocha coffee; this was also really good. The prices were really great for what you got too. Nice breakfast place. Kinda like how the coffee shop and cafe were almost separate entities. Coffee drink was delicious, although it would have been nice to see some form of non-alcohol drink menu(outside of the coffee shop menu) juice, milk, etc. Waitress gave each of us different menus(4 of us, 2 got breakfast menu, 2 got lunch) not sure if that's how it was supposed to be given out. I will start off with this first thing. No one wears masks. Not the servers, not anyone at this place. I even overheard some people talking about how they are choosing not to get vaccinated. For how crowded it was I just.... It made me very uncomfortable and while I'm not into that at all I'm here to review the food, but I do feel this needs to be said. The food itself is great. For all the places I ate in Hartford I actually enjoyed this the most. I had a burger and kind of like a BLT flatbread. The burger I asked for shoestring onion rings with on the side. Out of everything I ate there I have to say while I really enjoyed the burger and the flatbread the onion rings were extremely oily and really didn't taste like anything but the oil of the frier. Would have liked to have maybe seen them towled or something to remove just a bit of the greese. The burger itself was juicy and well cooked. While I wasn't asked my preference on how it was cooked I actually enjoyed how it turned out. The flatbread also had a nice mix of flavors and the bacon on it was good stuff. A bit thicker cut and looked like bacon ends rather than huge strips, but I enjoyed it. read more

The food was wonderful. We had a Barbacoa Skillet and a Spicy Chorizo Skillet. Both were delicious. Also had a sample of a Chorizo Eggs Benedict which was great as well. I had a Bloody Mary which was very tasty. The menu says it is spicy - that was a bit of and understatement. I loved it but it might be a bit much for some. Hadn't visited since the before times, and I'm glad they're still the same bustling eatery I remember. Finally had a chance to bring the wife here and she loved it. I had a delicious Rueben and she had one of their quiches. Great atmosphere/vibe and terrific staff. They were very busy but we didn't have to wait long for the food. A little pricey, but not out of line with with other places I've eaten recently. Let's face it, it's more expensive to eat out these days. Perc Place is a shining beacon of light in sleepy, dreary, little downtown Hartford. After years of hearing my great cousin, grandmother, and mother talk about Perc Place like it's Disney Land, I finally had to try it myself. My father and I popped in for a late lunch on a Thursday. I was immediately surprised at how busy it was. Not surprisingly, it was filled with retirees. Nonetheless, the place was buzzing. We ordered a mocha, side salad, and a Black Forest sandwich to split. Our waitress was very charming and made us feel welcome. Our mocha came very quickly and the food followed not long after. The sandwich was HUGE and did not lack flavor or ingredients. The side salad was also a very generous portion. The prices were great for a lovely lunch (maybe I've been living in NorCal too long?!) The atmosphere is unique, artsy, and eclectic. There are decorative knickknacks for sale throughout the location-- the dining room almost doubles as a boutique. I took a side trip to check out the coffee counter. There are great options for folks that are interested in a take-and-go cup of coffee or a snack like a traditional coffee shop. Of course, the abundance of seating lounging opportunities encourages folks to stay for awhile. I may not be a fan of downtown Hartford, but Perc Place is truly a place I can appreciate! read more

Okay, this place is the hidden gem of Hartford and you need to come here. The atmosphere is of a cute and quaint hometown cafe that makes you feel like you just came home after years of being away. The food and drinks that my husband and I had were absolutely delicious. We got a vanilla latte and spiced chia and it made us feel like fall had finally begun. I had French onion soup which was amazing and my hubby had a burger with chips which I guess was good because in was gone in 5 minutes. We finished up with the best chocolate pecan pie I've had since I was a kid. And the service was amazing! Our server was a woman named Ann and she made you feel like you were one of her kids. The reason for the 2 star review is that not a single staff member was wearing a mask. Not the hostess, waitstaff, or bussers. NO ONE- which I have not seen at any other establishment. This visit was during the wisconsin mask mandate. My husband and I wore masks whenever getting up from our table and when ordering before we got our food. The food was good and I think priced fairly, but we wont be back. If they arent taking precautions seriously I can take my business elsewhere. Not worth it. read more

This is a really neat place. Located on Main Street in downtown Hartford, the atmosphere is cool, hip and warm. Very friendly staff, good coffee (not sitting on hot plate --- burning), unique & yummy menu. I plan on returning again and again. Ordered the artichoke dip along with the plantain chips/guacamole and they both were very good. The reason for my 3 star review is because when I ordered the filtet (medium) and vegetables, I received a 6 oz filet that was butterfly cut and overcooked. The ends were well done and the middle was medium well. The vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli and carrots) were also way overcooked and extremely limp. I asked my sever (who gave us very good service) if they always butterfly cut the filet prior to cooking. She asked the kitchen and was told that they receive the steaks already butterfly cut. That had me confused as I have never heard that before. But hey, it is what it is. Bottom line, if you are coming here for appetizers, sandwiches or drinks, then you will probably receive good food and service. If you desire the 6oz filet, then you are much better off going down the road to Ponderosa. read more
