I ordered a birthday cake at this bakery and service was so bad I decided to never come back again. The first thing the cashier she charged me 10 more dollars ( the price was showed on the board, and when I gave her my credit card she told me an other total). The next day I went to pick up the cake at 5.30 pm, the some girl told me :can you come back in 30 minutes, I don't know where is the cake. I requested my cake at the time indicated on the receipt. They said they don't have it. I left the store and 30 minutes later they called me and asked me to come pick up my cake at 7pm (1 hour and 30 minutes late). I go back at 7pm... they didn't have my cake ready... I know they made a new cake... (irresponsibles poeple). The cake was bad. The manager didn't come to tolk to me and apologize. This bakery has been in Bensonhurst for as long as I can remember when I was a kid. I don't come here often, but recently I came here to pick up butter cookies for my office. The staff are attentive and helpful. The butter cookies weren't the best quality. They were very soft and didn't taste fresh. I don't think I will go for their cookies anymore. read more

I couldn't help being a bit nervous and suspicion at first, here is why: 1. Price was as low as $35! (8inch round cake with Design!) 2. Didn't have an opportunity to see the lookbook and their previous examples. 3. They perform airbrush design instead of foundain cakes. When I picked up my cake, it looked pretty. Not super-dooper perfect, but it looked good. However, what's more important - the look or the taste? So here you go: the taste was amazing! They did everything exactly as I asked. The cake was not dry at all (as most of the foundain cakes), it was very well moistured, with an amazing combination of pineapple, pecan and French cream! Bought Danish that tasted stale. The following weekend I asked if the Danish were fresh. The employee told me that they were from the previous day. The same with the tray of buns. Just got a birthday cake today. Nice looking shop but what killed all the goodness was that my name was misspelled with a provocative word "Happy Birthday Ti**y" I don't know who wrote it but he or she should get fired. I specifically told the cashier how it should be spelled. I over heard the cashier saying the name was not correct with the baker but I still received the cake with the word "Ti**y", "What the hell?". A few minutes after the cashier left her shift another girl came out to package it and she didn't even bother to show me what was written on the cake before it was being boxed. The cake was suppose to be ready in 15min but actually took about 30min total. I'm not happy, it ruined my day :( My $20.00 for the cake wasn't worth the time. I gotta say this place has has some of the best customer service along with their amazing variety of sweets to choose from! I love their tiramisu and cheesecake, and for the price that it's at I could go back again and again without having to worry about sacrificing quality for cost or vice versa! I get wonderful quality for such a reasonable price, couldn't ask for more, but it doesn't end there as I said before. They have such friendly customer service, when I had questions about different items they had for sale, they didn't hesitate to answer nor did they show anything but positivity when interacting with me or any other customers (even if they were a tad bit impatient).. Tried their cheesecake from a friend's couple anniversary. The cheesecake was made perfectly. It was decadent, light and not extremely sweet. It was just how a cheesecake's suppose to taste like. I don't know how much the cheesecake cost but I will be back here again buying another slice soon. read more

I've gotten the pecan pie here and it's great. It's not too sweet and has a lot of pecan. They also add chocolate chips in there which may not be traditional, but it's makes the pie. They also sell other pastries which I have yet to try. I just couldn't get over the pecan pie! read more

I am a HUGE cannoli fan so when I went into this small bakery after ditching Audrey's, I was surprised to see a huge collection of pastries including cannolis. I usually only go here for their cannoli, which is pretty decent. There are some days when it's too sweet, which is okay. On Tuesday 11/07/17 I walked into this bakery to order my wife her favorite type of cake "Chocolate Mousse" for her birthday the next day. I was told the cake woukd be done tomorrow and I would pick -up the cake at 4:30 pm. Next day Wednesday the 8th I was in the area a little earlier than expected so i called and asked of i could pick up the cake an hour earlier. I was told no, Because the "Boss" who is apparently the baker also was not in. So i guess my cake was being prepared with less then an hour to pick-up. But thats ok, The deal was 4:30 pick up thats what it will have to be. Got to the bakery clerk bagged my cake and out the door i went on my way home 4 miles away. Once i get home, I put the bag with the cake inside on the counter and prepare to put it in the refrigerator to have with freinds and family to celebrate her birthday. As i am putting my hands inside the bag to lift the cake out, I feel wetness inside the bag, I think nothing of it. Once I get my hands on the bottom of the cakebox i lift it out of the bag and i get liquid streaming down my arm coming out of the box. I'm like "WTF? Why of this wet??? I proceed to open the box to look at the cake because now there is water pouring out of the box, Something gotta be wrong. Open the box, First thing i noticed which should have said "Happy 52nd Birthday" actually said "Happy 32nd Birthday". Ok not gonna make a big deal of that...Simple mistake. Next i get a white cake with pink frosting....Certainly dont look like a chocolate mousse cake to me. Call up the bakery and speak to the clerk and give her my name and told her i was there a little while ago to pick up my cake. I ask her if she can pull out the written up order and read it to me. She tells me "I threw it out" I tell her i was just there so it must be right on top of the can you can go get it. She lies again and says that that garbage was thrown outside. I ask to speak to a manager and was told "He's not here right now" another lie. I tell her what i have in this box is NOT what i ordered or paid for and i would like to speak to the manager and she how this will get rectifed. I was told she woukd have the manager call me and needless to say i never got a returned call so i had my guest call from his phone so they wouldnt recognize my number and avoid the call. This person who calls himself the manager insisted what we got is a chocolate mousse cake. Apparently he thinks chocolate mousse and chocolate sponge cake is the same. So, we excepted the fact that we are going to just accept the cake we have. After dinner, cut the cake, and none of my 6 guests could swallow this soaking wet, soggy, disgusting slop. I was totally embarrassed and would have been much better off going down to the nearest grocery store and getting an Entenmenn's cake. YOU HAD ONE JOB PEOPLES BAKERY! ONE JOB! AND THATS BAKING A DECENT CAKE AND YOU FAILED MISERABLELY! read more

Please do yourself a favor and do not order your child's birthday cake from here! I placed an order for a Thomas the train cake for my son's birthday party at school. One hour before I was supposed to pick up the cake, they called me and said they ordered the wrong cake decoration! I'm sorry but Mickey Mouse is not the same as Thomas the train! My son had specifically requested this cake and I didn't want to disappoint him. Yes it kinda did work out in the end because they were able to use the Thomas train from their display cake but mind you, they did not apologize or compensated me for the trouble they caused.
