I came in about a month ago to get contact lenses for the first time. After seeing the perfect reviews, I decided to give Optometry Corner in Irvine a try despite the higher price for an eye exam. I was told that my contact lenses would arrive a week after my eye exam. After a week I didn't receive a call and when I called to check in, I was told that my contact lenses were delayed for a month and then was told that it was the standard wait time. So I waited, a few weeks passed by and then I received a phone call that my left eye lenses have arrived and if I already picked up my right eye. No I haven't, because they haven't arrived yet. So another week went by and I finally got a call that my right eye lenses have arrived and I can finally come and pick up my trial lenses. Keep in mind, this is my first time getting contact lenses. When I come into the store, they hand me a little brown bag with my lenses and tell me "that's it". After arriving home and realizing the difficulty of wearing lenses, I call the office of Optometry Corner to schedule a training session. The girl mentions that since it was my first time I should've had that scheduled but due to a new hire and miscommunication, I will have to wait to see a doctor for the training. I hate to be on the side of negativity or even leave a bad review on a business that requires hard work, but unfortunately the incompetence of basic customer service interaction has been ridiculously frustrating and has worn my patience thin. For now, I will see how things go moving forward with the upcoming appointment.

My overall visit was great, and Amayrani (Amy) stood out in particular. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful without being pushy. I appreciate her ability to help me find frames that flatter my face shape and how clearly she explained the differences between lens options, tints, coatings, and related technology. I'm the kind of buyer who wants to get granular with the details of what I'm spending my money on; Amy delivers on that front. She also made it easy to understand how my EyeMed insurance applied to different frame and lens combinations. I think it is worth mentioning that she answered many of my technical coverage questions in Spanish. This part of my visit felt very straightforward. I wanted to join the Secret Service and one of their mandated requirements is to get eye surgery. On top of that, a suicide of a police officer who took his own life because of a horrible LASIK procedure and a former colleague of mine who lost one of his eyes from a bad LASIK procedure convinced me hard enough to book an appointment here. Dr. Feinerman and his team are so wonderful and amazing. He took a look at my vision and saw that I'm actually eligible for either PRK or LASIK. He explained to me that the results on the screen showed that my corneas are mostly blue and a bit green, which means that they're so thick. I would pick PRK or LASIK. Thank god for his transparency! Dr. Feinerman is such a wonderful and amazing guy. He's so amazing that his presence was enough to calm me down when I was about to break down crying in front of him. The reason for that was because when I was growing up, I lived in a narcissistic/abusive home and my mom was more the abusive parent. She was very controlling over how I looked and wouldn't let me wear glasses and never allowed to to have an iPhone until I was in my final year of high school after getting my license. Thank you Dr Feinerman for being a genuinely calming presence for someone who has been through a lot of abuse.

My first pair was purchased from JINS in Japan, with a prescription calculated by an automated machine with an attendant. Unfortunately, the near and medium field of view were really far off. My second pair was a frame by Cartier that needed new lenses. Dr. Lee helped assess my uses and prescribed new lenses that addressed all my concerns. Just nine days later I received a message that my glasses were ready. Wow! Amazing. The new prescriptions are excellent, and now I can protect my eyes with the latest features and see clearly in my various daily tasks. Kudos to Dr. Lee and her helpful assistants.
