I've been coming here for the past 2-3 years and every visit the front staff have been welcoming and friendly. I've been seeing Dr. Cho consistently. She's very friendly and professional. She will listen to my concerns and offer great advice that works well with my lifestyle. At my most recent visit Hanan checked me in. She is friendly and welcoming but of course all staff are also friendly and welcoming. I am so grateful to have Dr. Cho as my optometrist especially since it's nerve racking to establish care at a new establishment. read more

I grew up going to the eye doctor often because I had horrible sight as a kid but hated doing all the tests that 1) were painful - puffs into my eyes or 2) made me feel blind for not being able to read all the lines of letters. I love coming here! The technology is so much more chill (no pain) and they get my prescription easily w/ a machine and without the embarrassing letter-reading. Dr.Cho is so sweet and she remembered me from a year ago (when we had conversations about family and faith). She's super easy to talk to and makes the visit so quick/comfortable. Dr Nhi Nguyen is stellar, spectacular! Very informative, patient, and sweet. I felt very safe and seen with her. The other office staff were very receptive and kind with me as well. I was shocked to see that they had my contact prescription in stock for my high prescription, usually I have to come back a few days later to finally try them on. The patient education portion for the appointment was neat (re: retinal detachment and what to watch out for if it happens). The office was very neat and I loved the appointment making process on their website. It was very straight forward and I liked that I can be as descriptive as I want in their new patient form online. They also informed me about the rebate I could get if I bought a year supply of my contacts. If you get your glasses done by the Optometry Corner, there's a 1 year warranty I think. I had a great experience before ordering sunglasses with my VSP benefit. However, this time I was extremely disappointed to discover they now increase the price by 32% when using insurance benefits. I called VSP about this and learned that this is a pretty common fraudulent practice that consumers need to be aware of. Essentially, they are price gouging, or known in the industry as up-coding. Back for my annual visit. I was disappointed that Dr. Lui was out for parental leave but Dr. Cho was just as informative, patient, and thorough - the quality of optometrists here is incomparable! My exam itself was so thorough I was there for 45 mins for the eye image/tests and then with Dr. Cho but she spent time walking through the photos, what they meant, what examples of good/bad eye images looked like. I never felt rushed and I knew her next patient was waiting for their appointment to start. She walked me out and even checked in on the prior patient before me who was trying out glasses. And the optician on staff, Chris, was so great. He was so thoughtful in examining my vision benefits and talking me through how to maximize my savings - even to the point where I could tell he was working really hard on the math to figure out the best combination of benefits/billing. In short, customer service and bedside manner continue to be outstanding here. read more

I wouldn't have left this review if it weren't for the reminder text about my due eye exam. Very poor management with overconfident doctors. Went in for my exam and the girls in the front desk were eating food that smelled and half giving attention to the customers. I've had similar prescription for years and during the exam the doc said it's too high and my eye is overcompensating and needs to come down. So I got the new prescription and couldn't see very well. So I had to go in again and get another exam and go thru the whole ordeal and order new prescription. The office kept sending old prescription with the wrong prescription with the curve being off, sending the wrong one, it was a mess. Not going back and not recommend for anyone. read more

Have been in OC for most of my life, but visited Optometry Corner for the first time recently. Fantastic experience with Dr. Cho! Booking my appointment online was super easy. They had good available time slots that didn't require a long wait, AND, they actually use the online patient intake form! NO filling in the info online and then having to re-fill in the same paper form in-person (which happens quite often). Everyone, from front desk, to doctors visit, to checkout, was very pleasant. I am a creature of habit, especially when it comes to doctors. I scheduled an appointment with the Optometry Corner Team on a referral from my wife as I needed new reading glasses. Making the appointment was painless and they were able to see me very quickly. Dr. Cho was amazing and you can tell that she was taking the time to ensure that there was nothing else going on with my eyes due to information I had placed on the intake questionnaire. The technicians and reception staff were also extremely friendly and professional and extremely helpful.
