I've been coming here for like 10 years- but after throughout the years I've noticed that I do not like their practice. I've been frequently coming here mostly because I thought this was the only place that did not have the eye puff machine and I liked the Optometrist. However, throughout the years more and more Optometrists offer tonometers for eye pressure testing and I've found another place! The review is based on the practice itself and not the Optometrist. The Optometrist is very knowledgeable and pleasant. The practice of this place is very very stingy. Perhaps they need a new manager. Every time I get an eye contact fitting and get my trial contact lenses, I always get expired ones. This happened to me three times already. Make sure to check the expiration date of your contact lenses. Second I feel like there is no optician here. No one to help adjust your glasses or clean them. No one to make sure that your glasses fit ok. Just front desk people that schedule you and test you. One time I picked up my glasses here and no one offered to make sure they fit okay. The vibe was "here are your glasses. See you later"They also don't have their own glass cloth. Finally, it's always been a struggle to ask for contact lens solution. I always have to ask and they only give you just one (in which they take the solution out of the box and just give you the solution and not the contact lens case). I'm assuming it's to save money. Other places they give me 2 (unopened) boxes at most. read more

Staff was not welcoming but straight out unpleasant and unfriendly. Doctor was nice and personable. I paid $60 for basic, eyeglass exam. The long haired Asian male who took care of paperwork at front desk did one test on a machine then told me to go to exam room. Waited about 5 mins. Doctor spent less than 10 mins total including talking and going thru my forms. I had much more thorough exams at Costco and Lens Crafter. Since appointments take time and effort, I'd rather pay more and get comprehensive, detailed exams. I would not recommend this optometry. read more

Today, when I came in to pick up my contacts, the staff not only recognized me but also took the initiative to introduce me to the new team members--what a thoughtful touch. This contact lens provider is extremely unprofessional. Their equipment is outdated, and the staff is not knowledgeable. They only spent about five minutes checking my eyes and didn't measure anything properly--no foot width, no pupillary distance, nothing. They just handed me a random pair of contacts. After five replacements, none of them worked. When I finally requested a refund, they only gave back half of the money. Overall, this place is completely unprofessional and ineffective. And to the owner Kim： I am absolutely certain that this incident happened at your clinic, and I have already received a refund. This is not only my experience--another friend of mine went through the exact same thing. Please do not try to cover up your unprofessional behavior with excuses or misleading words. When this first happened, I did not speak out, but I have since realized that more and more people are being misled into your clinic. We come here for my daughter's ortho-k contacts and have had a really good experience so far. Ortho-k lenses are custom contacts that you wear to sleep, and when you wake up you remove them and go about your day with 20/20 vision. The optometrist, Dr. Kim, is really thorough and clear, and the staff are all so patient and sweet. We never feel rushed and always feel like they're giving us their full attention whenever we come. We went to Dr Stanton Kim for many years for Ortho K. It's hard to put contact lenses on your eyes but my daughters' eyes didn't get worse because of Ortho K. Without Ortho K, it's a hassle wearing glasses when kids do sports and usually they will need thicker glasses every year. 지난 금요일 드림렌즈를 닥터에게 세척 부탁했다. 나는 케이스에 늘 하던대로조심스럽게 렌즈를 넣어 줬는데 반절 쪼개진 한개의 렌즈를 가져오며 케이스에서 꺼낼때부터 깨져있었다고 한다. 상식적으로 둘근 둘레가 조금 깨지는건 이해되는데 하드 렌즈가 반절이 깨진게 케이스 안에서 깨졌다고 하시는데 "책임지라"하고 싶었지만 분을 참고 왔다. 닥터가 손으로 세척하는 건줄 알았다면 세척을 부탁하지 않았을것이다. 양심을 가진 닥터가 거짓말을 했다고 생각하고 싶지 않지만 책임회피라는 생각이 든다.백업으로 사용할 렌즈가 없어졌으니 속상하다.드림렌즈 특성상 안경점을 바꿀 수 없어 마음이 안타까울뿐이다.(이 일 외에 한가지 더 돈에 대한 일이 있었는데 참고 적지 않겠다.) Last Friday, I asked the doctor to clean my sons dream lenses. I carefully placed the lenses in the case as usual, but when I took one out, it was already broken in half. I can understand if the edges get a little damaged, but the doctor said the hard lens was broken in half inside the case. I wanted to say, "You should take responsibility," but I held back my anger. If I had known the doctor was going to clean them by hand, I wouldn't have asked for the cleaning. I don't want to believe that a conscientious doctor would lie, but it feels like an evasion of responsibility. I'm upset because we no longer have our backup lens. Given the nature of dream lenses, I can't change my optician, which is just heartbreaking. (There was one more issue related to money, but I won't mention it.) read more

I called twice to try and get my contact lens prescription filled before it expires this week. I received the prescription from Dr. Kim last year and have bank statements to show for it ( along with other years I did business there). The office first said my prescription was long expired and then they ghosted me when I followed up with evidence it wasn't. This sucks. I get that they want me to come in for another exam , but my eyes haven't changed in years and I just needed one box to get me through the next few months. read more

I went to visit eye contact optometry yesterday for the first time and overall was such an awesome experience! Ive been in customer service for a while and i just really value certain things when it comes to a great and fulfilling experience which this optometry had. 1) great and friendly staff who made my apt over the phone promptly and easily. They were great over the phone and in person and answered all my questions about the groupon i wanted to use 2) I got in fast and the prep/tests before the eye dr was easy and fast 3) i believe his name is Dr. Kim he had great energy off the bat was so nice with me and explained how my eyes were and what was happening in details. Allowing me to really understand what was going on and what my next steps and options were and i loved that. 4) check out was easy they didnt even ask for my Groupon or make me feel uncomfortable at any point to pay for extra things or that i didnt have insurance and i paid $10 for shipping to get some toric lenses that we had to order bc they werent in the office which was ok with me ! First, they ordered me the wrong contacts ... Then they sent me to -250s when I was supposed to get 300s ... Before Dr. Kim, I was wearing the same pair of contact lenses for years without having any annual checkup whatsoever and I would often get eye infections. Fortunately, I was referred to Dr. Kim and my eye-health has been changed from there. Dr. Kim is very friendly and attentive to his patients; listening to your concerns, answering your questions, giving you advices, and following up with you. I think what makes Dr. Kim different from my previous one is that he makes annual follow-up appointments and checks on your progress as the treatment goes on. Not only that, he also makes necessary changes to tailor to my the needs of my eye prescription and health. The office locates in a very nice location and the office itself is very clean and organize! The staffs are also friendly and kind. My initial appointment at Eye Contact Optometry went amazing! I liked the convenience of scheduling an appointment online and receiving confirmation the day before. Dr. Kim is very kind, professional, and helped me understand my new glasses prescription. The front office staff and assistants are helpful as well, and I appreciated their patience and help while I was choosing new glasses.
