Very friendly staff. I've been going to them for 3 years now since I got lasik. They have a great groupon deal for lenses and an exam.

I went in to see Dr. Kim in February for a routine eye exam. I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment with him. It pointed to needing new readers a little stronger than what I have, as I work on a computer all day. He suggested I try progressive lenses, that way I could work on my computer at my desk all day and not have to take my glasses on and off. I liked the idea, even thought they were very expensive. I paid over $500 for a pair, and when I got them the area that I could see my computer was literally the size of a pencil eraser. It was impossible to work while using them, which is the whole point. They sent them back to the lab and the second pair were a little better, but now the area was the size of a dime. The work area was way to small to work with. I had to turn my head back and forth and it was not okay. I could not even read a sentence without moving my head. I really tried, but the lab still did not get it right. I finally just asked for a basic pair of readers as they could not seem to make these workable for me. Due to the Covid-19 crisis they closed before they came in. They gave me my prescription, and they were basic 1.5x readers. To hold me over until they re-opened, I ordered some from GlassesUSA online and I received TWO pair for under $50 and they are fantastic. Today I picked them up the ones from Dr. Kim's office, and they are fine, basic readers. I expected that they would have some sort of credit for me because of the difference, as $500+ for a pair of basic readers is obscene. They told me no, that they had to pay the lab for the other lenses twice. I have friends in the business that told me the lab will always redo them multiple times at no charge, and if they are not right they will not charge them for them. I also know the profit margin involved is extremely high. Everyone needs to make a profit, but I do believe in fairness. This said, some sort of credit to my account would have been very nice, and I should not have had to ask for it. I am disappointed, as I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Kim initially, and so did my partner, who also spent $500+ there. We will not be returning as this is not a good way to do business. read more

Ortho-K review: My son's vision went from -3.5 & 3 astigmatism to 0.0 & .5 astigmatism ... what more can you ask for!!! Dr. Kim: Awesome!!! Takes the time to answer any questions and explains everything. Friendly, kind, and definitely professional. Staff: Friendly, helpful, and always willing to help. Never got that "look" when I had to reschedule or had insurance issues. Love the staff!!! We've been here for about a year and definitely recommend Eye Contact Optometry. Dr. Kim's practice uses state-of-the-art equipment. He's efficient and sociable. His office staff is mediocre at best and rude at worst. The practice encompasses the entire experience, not just the time with the doctor. When I went to pick up my glasses, I was just handed them without even an offer to see how they fit. When I asked, I was answered with improper comments, as if I were inconveniencing the staff. You might consider giving the benefit of the doubt, but reading the reviews you find that it's been a recurring theme over the years. I will go elsewhere to get a better experience. read more

Dr Kim is the best optometrist! His staff is amazing! I am updating my review due to the fact of how much he has helped me over the past 8 years. I came to him with an astigmatism. I basically couldn't see near, far or at night. My soft contacts helped somewhat, but my vision was always blurry and I lived in reading glasses to see anything close up. My first visit Dr Kim suggested hard lenses which I was very apprehensive about because I thought they would be uncomfortable. Fast forward a matter of months later I didn't need reading glasses and I was able to see perfectly during the day, night and reading! The hard lenses were just as comfortable as the soft. You will not find a more skilled optometrist to correct your vision with the latest advances in eyecare and a staff who really goes above and beyond to help assist you! read more

My first time at Eye Contact Optometry was back in 2015. I had a Groupon for an eye exam. I called the office after I purchased the Groupon and was able to get an appointment the next week. When I came in for my appointment, I knew I had found my forever optometry office. The reception staff was really friendly and the service was so quick! I was in and out of there in half an hour. The doctor was really nice and made sure all my questions were answered. I ended up ordering contact lenses with them and they were ready to take home within a week. I just went back this past weekend for another annual eye exam. They're in a different office now, but in the same plaza. Same great service as before :) read more

This is a honest opinion of their business and my recent experience. I felt truly mistreated and unappreciated when I spoke to the person at the front counter over the phone and at their office. The front desk person, which I presume to be the doctor's daughter, came accross as rude and uncaring. To be transparent, I received the prescription from their office but ordered my glasses through Costco. After receiving my glasses, I noticed that my vision was not clear. Costco said they would re-do my lens but said to check with the optomitrist to make sure my prescription was correct. I was asking if they can recheck my prescription. She was dismissive saying that it was an issue was with the lens. I explained that Costco had an older prescription and my vision was worse then but better now. She said that my vision got better. Which could be the case but I can tell that my vision has gotten worse over the years. That's why I went to get new glasses. Granted all could be true and it may be the lens, which I will get redone, but it was her attitude and treatment that I felt is the biggest issue and why I'm posting my review. Yelp may want to bury this under bad reviews and others may post good reviews to average out my bad one. This is a honest and true review of my experience. I never had a bad experience until now.
