Jackie was especially helpful she has a great personality and makes the whole experience comfortable. Dr. Fahmy is an excellent optometrist. He's knowledgeable, personable, and you can tell he truly enjoys helping his patients. It's always nice seeing a doctor who genuinely cares about the people he serves. The office is very clean and well organized, and they have modern, up-to-date equipment that makes the eye exam process quick and easy. We were also seen almost immediately less than a five minute wait. The customer service here is outstanding. went in for a comprehensive eye exam and received a glasses prescription, but the prescription was missing my PD (pupillary distance). When I later called to ask for this information, I was told that my PD wasn't measured because I didn't order glasses through their office. This makes no sense. PD is a basic part of a complete prescription, and I was never informed during my appointment that it would only be provided if I purchased lenses from them. Now I have to go somewhere else just to have my PD measured--even though I already paid for a full eye exam. This policy feels misleading and unnecessarily inconvenient. I had been with Canyon for many years. Previously with Dr. Corish who was the previous owner of the practice. I have a pair of Transition lenses from a few years back. They work as advertised but not very dark. At my last appointment with Canyon Optometry they made a recommendation that there is a new version of Transitions that is darker. I told them I do not need a new pair if it performs the same. They assured me that the new one is darker but not sunglasses dark. I was ok with that if they were darker than the original Transitions lenses. The end result was that the glasses were the same darkness as my current pair. When i brought up the issue they acknowledged the performance (we walked outside and the Dr. confirmed that they looked the same darkness) but said there was nothing they could do. A refund was not possible. According to the lab it was made according to specification. They instead made a new pair of tinted lenses not Transitions. The new pair was done via my insurance not something they paid out of pocket. They would not refund the difference. I was not planning on getting a new pair of lenses but was persuaded after their assurance that the new lenses would be darker than what I have. I believe there was more they could have done and accepted some responsibility for their recommendations. I will not be returning. read more

The office still looks like Dr. Corish's old office with a few changes BUT honestly who cares when the team overall delivers such great care and shines. Plus the new tech they have brought in enabling everyone to better understand their eye health is so helpful. Also as a female with a wider head... it's always been challenging finding nice stylish frames that fit my head. My husband and I went here about a year ago and didn't have the best experience. During my appt, I was offered this fancy additional test to check the back of my eye (or something similar to) for an additional $50. I declined but thought it was kind of strange they were trying to sell me pretty hard on it. I saw the female dr and she was good, no complaints with her. When I was checking out, I was told that I owed $160. I asked why it was so much because my insurance covered it, they said they charge $160 for contact fitting in addition to the annual basic eye exam. This didn't even include the contact lens themselves either. I've had the same insurance for years and was shocked about how much they charge. My husband went another time, ordered glasses, and it took over a month for them to get the glasses in. And they never called him to let him know that the glasses had arrived when they did, he had to keep calling. And when he did finally receive the Ray Ban glasses, the lens popped out a week later so he had to go back in to get them readjusted. read more

I have a pretty high prescription and have been to a lot of optometrists in the past. And can honestly say that Dr. Fahmy is one of the best optometrist I've had. Be aware that even though they will initially accept insurance information for blue vision and will schedule your appointment (and are listed on the anthem website as being in network), they will turn you away at the door for having that insurance. I scheduled this appointment over two weeks ago. They didn't even try to call me about a potential issue with my insurance until yesterday and the voicemail they left was so vague it wasn't clear they didn't accept the insurance, they just said they were having issues with it and needed to follow up. Additionally when I showed up they tried to sell me an insuranceless appointment for over $100. If you don't accept someone's insurance just tell them. Don't keep them waiting for 2+ weeks. I could've been in and out of somewhere else by now with new glasses but you wasted nearly a month of my time and that's really not cool. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Fahmy and the quality of care that he provides. He is very attentive and he truly cares about his patients. You can tell he is extremely passionate about his craft, and it's apparent in his work and the way that he treats people. I cannot express enough how great Dr. Fahmy and his team are. Dr Fahmy puts his patients before anything else. I came in with a really painful eye infection and he saw me as soon as I walked into the clinic. I immediately felt like I was going to get the relief I needed. Dr Fahmy explained what was going on with my eye and prescribed exactly what I needed for my infection and it's symptoms. I had such a great experience at Dr. Cornish's office. Making my appointment was very easy, I confirmed my VSP coverage and was able to get scheduled quickly. The building was easy to find (it's the one on the left when you turn into the driveway), and there was plenty of parking. There are 3 other eye doctors in the building, you're going to the second floor, down the right hallway, last door on the right. The office staff was very welcoming and warm. We buzzed through my initial exams and my exam with Dr. Cornish was efficient, and thorough, and he was also very kind. I would say my favorite part of the visit was picking out my frames. I'm a generally indecisive person and picking frames is a nightmare for me lol. It was SO NICE to have help! I was seated in a room with frame options everywhere, and one of the women came in and helped me try on options based on my price range, preferred style and fit. Like a stylist! I ended up choosing a really cute pair of Ray Bans that she suggested. (I've gotten so many compliments on them!!) My glasses arrived in 6 days! So fast! And the pricing was very fair. When I picked them up, I tried them on, and then Joni took them and adjusted them, then they fit so perfectly!!
