Dr. Lang and his surgical team provided me with an outstanding cataract surgery experience. At 71 years old, I have known only a handful of surgeons who truly stand out in my memory. One saved my life. Another relieved years of chronic pain and gave me back a quality of life I had almost forgotten was possible. Dr. Lang now joins that very small and distinguished group. Not because my cataract surgery was life-saving or dramatic, but because he and his team delivered something equally meaningful: exceptional skill combined with kindness, professionalism, and an ability to make a potentially frightening experience feel comfortable and even enjoyable. From the moment I entered the surgical suite, I felt completely at ease. The procedure was entirely painless, and I was amazed at how calm and relaxed I remained throughout. I never imagined I would describe eye surgery as enjoyable, yet that is exactly how I felt. Dr. Lang and his assistants treated me with genuine warmth and respect. Their confidence inspired trust, and their compassion made all the difference. I will always be grateful to the surgeons who changed my life in profound ways. I am equally grateful that, when it came time for my cataract surgery, I was fortunate enough to be in the care of Dr. Lang and his remarkable team. Like many people, I was nervous beforehand. Having surgery on my eye sounded intimidating, and despite being assured that the procedure would be painless, I still had my doubts. Dr. Lang and his assistants immediately put me at ease with their calm professionalism, confidence, and genuine concern for my comfort. The procedure itself was completely painless... that is something that still amazes me. I was relaxed throughout and even found the experience enjoyable. I remember seeing beautiful hues of the colors blue, yellow, magenta, and brilliant white... all of which made the surgery feel almost surreal in the best possible way. What stands out most to me is how well coordinated and caring the entire team was. Every assistant was friendly, reassuring, and highly skilled. I always felt safe and well cared for. Dr. Lang combines exceptional surgical expertise with a bedside manner that inspires confidence and trust. I could not have asked for a better experience, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Lang and his team to anyone considering cataract surgery. Thank you, Dr. Lang and everyone who assisted in my care. You transformed what I feared would be an ordeal into an experience I will remember fondly. read more

Front desk ladies are rude AF. Expect to be here an unnecessarily long time with zero communication of what is going on. Only good experience I had here was with the girls who helped me pick out glasses (they deserve all the stars). Very helpful & nice. Yesterday, I had an appointment to get my eyes dilated. I was early, they checked me in & said the doc would be in soon. No one even came back to put the dilation drops in my eyes. I waited for 45 minutes and left after getting major attitude from the front desk. The office manager called me about my visit, which I do appreciate. But ultimately I have been here thrice and just don't feel they care about my wellbeing, or anyone's for that matter. I know I'll be treated better elsewhere. read more

What an amazing practice. I had an appointment this morning for my annual checkup and OC Eye Associates is simply the best. Skye called me back and did several tests and also dilated my eyes and then photographed my retina. What an amazing professional. The quality of care is top shelf. After my testing I saw Dr. Lang and he is truly a master at his profession and what terrific communication relative to my examination. I so appreciate the amazing care, professional service and genuine compassion as well as the stellar skill and knowledge shared during my visit. Highly recommended read more

Cant get call back regarding important referral. Sight is an important thing to safeguard and this office isnt doing it, do not recommend

Have been coming here for along time but probably no more. Doesn't matter what time your appointment you always have to wait along time. I've been here 90 minutes, tests were done 49 minutes ago and still waiting to see doctor. There has to be other good doctors that don't over book read more

Thank You! OC Eye Associates. After five or so years of not having the right prescription, I can now finally see. There is nothing more important than your eye sight. Why is this place above and beyond the rest? They are more thorough and complete than anywhere else. My complete eye exam took almost three hours. They used a few different machines and asked a lot of questions to accurately assess my eyes. Dr. Kline was amazing. My next appointment was with a female doctor who determined my prescription. Again, it took a long time and she was so careful and complete. She had an assistant who measured my eyes for the frames. Again, very careful and complete. My final assistant was the frame technician who was amazing. She picked out a few frames and nailed it. This part of the process is very stressful to me. She was so good and my glasses fit so well. This place is so complete. Thank you. Five stars. The best. read more

I have been coming her for two years and it has been a positive experience. I came here with a cataract so I needed surgery. My Dr was Todd Driver MD he was very knowledgeable and kind . Explaining everything to me. He is professional and experienced. Surgery was at Newport Bay surgery center in Newport Beach . The surgery took 30 minutes and I was given twilight so I felt wonderful All the nurses were fantastic and Dr Todd Driver was busy but took a minute to say everything went smoothly. I will continue to go to OC eye institute . read more

I chose OC Eye Associates / Dr. Todd Driver because their Out-of-Network/Cash Prices page (https://www.oceyeassociates.com/cash-cataract-surgery/) advertises a transparent $250 initial consultation for cataract surgery with no hidden costs that includes routine preoperative testing and intraocular lens measurements. In reality, I was charged $350 after they added "diagnostic tests." The next day I learned there would be an additional $190 fee for more testing on my second visit. The practice appears to use a broad definition of "diagnostic tests" to charge extra for standard preoperative eye measurements that their website lists as included. The website's exclusions clearly refer to systemic medical tests like bloodwork and EKGs -- not basic eye measurements. After my initial consultation, I called the office multiple times trying to get clear answers and written pricing. Despite speaking with several staff members, I was never given a written breakdown of expected costs. Because of this lack of transparency, I canceled all future appointments. The business office eventually sent my medical records and refunded the $100 overpayment after I requested them in follow-up emails. While Dr. Driver may be a skilled surgeon, the business practices felt misleading. Cash-pay patients should be cautious and get everything in writing before proceeding. read more

Jocelyn and the front desk helped me out when we forgot to pack my daughter's contact lenses for an out-of-town tournament. She was kind, courteous, and quick to communicate with me. The office was able to provide me with enough to get through the weekend. Thank you for saving the day! read more

OC Eye Associates was outstanding for my premium cataract surgery. Dr. Todd Driver and Dr. Daniel Kline took the time to explain my options clearly, answered every question, and made a plan that felt personalized to my eyes and vision goals. I chose laser-assisted cataract surgery with a toric lens and the whole process was excellent. The pre-op testing was thorough, the staff was kind and organized, and on surgery day I felt comfortable the entire time. My vision improved quickly and the results have been life-changing, sharper vision and brighter colors. If you're looking for premium cataract surgery in Orange County, I highly recommend OC Eye Associates. In my opinion, Dr. Todd Driver and Dr. Daniel Kline are the best cataract surgeons in Orange County, skilled, meticulous, and truly patient-centered. read more

After 15 years as patients of Dr. Daniel Klein at OC Eye Associates, my wife and I can confidently say his care is exceptional. Dr. Klein performed my cataract surgery years ago, and the results have been outstanding--I've had zero issues since. What really sets this practice apart is the combination of Dr. Klein's expertise and the genuinely caring office staff. Skye and Harmony, in particular, always go out of their way to make visits smooth and stress-free. They're friendly, accommodating, and truly make you feel valued as a patient. If you're looking for an ophthalmologist who delivers top-tier care with a personal touch, I highly recommend Dr. Klein and the entire team at OC Eye Associates. read more

OC Eye Associates is a fantastic practice with highly reputable doctors and a staff that's both kind and efficient. I recently accompanied my mom for her annual eye exam and the entire visit was smooth, thorough and handled with care. A special thanks to our main technician, Haley, who was friendly, attentive and thoroughly prepped us to see Dr. Kline! Most ophthalmology appointments are naturally comprehensive and take time, but the whole team made the experience comfortable and well organized from start to finish! I also took a quick gander at their optical department and let's just say I'll be back to spend some FSA money LOL! Awesome frame selection and extremely convenient to have a one stop shop for all my eye care needs! 10/10 would recommend! read more

I just left a review about this place is "all about the money." But they were quick to follow up on my dissatisfaction and made good on the eye drops by promising to refund what I paid for the extra bottle, since the original bottle had leaked. As for the outcome of my surgery, I really can't attest to the quality of my vision as it seems to be slowly correcting. I may just be slower than normal to adjust to the new lenses. Otherwise, everyone I had contact with at this office were pleasant and professional. read more

Doctor Kline is an extremely competent and friendly surgeon. Everything he described about the preparation and process of cataract surgery went exactly as planned. I can see excellently now without glasses. Sandy and Haley, the surgery coordinators, are very efficient and helpful. Parking is very good here. The restrooms are very clean. This practice deserves a full five stars because the doctors take the time needed with each patient. read more

Dr. Todd Driver at OC Eye Associates changed my life! I trusted him completely after our first meeting as he is calm, meticulous, listens well, is not rushed, and explains everything in detail. Within 2 weeks he operated on both eyes, and less than 24 hrs after my second eye surgery, I am reading without any glasses! I cannot praise him, the surgery support team, and his office staff enough. Look no further - choose Dr. Driver! read more

Been going to these doctors for several years. Horrible now! Waited for almost an hour first thing in the morning. Their "new" office is a mess. The people working at front desks spend all of their time talking about what they did the night before. And they are so rude to patients. $1,500 for two pair of glasses and the glasses aren't right. They don't care. This place has changed so much (not just the location) and I will not return. read more

My family and I have been seeing doctor Kline for many years and I have referred friends to him who have become lifelong patients. He is the best, and that's probably why it is difficult to get an appointment with him as he's always booked. That said, A few weeks ago, I had a health issue regarding my eye. I called the office, and doctor Charity Lee was able to carve out time for me next day. The quality of care I received with doctor Lee was tops. She is very thorough, kind, patient, knowledgeable. She happily answered all questions and queries I had regarding my eye health and put me at ease. I just had my Follow up appointment with her, and everything looks great. :) If you're looking for an ophthalmologist, I recommend Doctor Lee and of course, Kline. Doctor Lee will be my go to as she is absolutely fantastic and a lot more flexible with scheduling (which is big for me as a full time working mom) read more

I don't hesitate recommending Dr. Driver to anyone that says they are looking for an ophthalmologist. For those that complain about wait times here, I think the morning appointments work better since they are still on schedule. My wife went to Dr. Driver for her cataract surgeries and all worked out smoothly before and after, and we never had any surprise bills. He even corrected her vision and she doesn't need contacts anymore! The only problem is my wife teases me when she can read small print in the distance and I can't even see it. I can't wait for my cataracts to get bad enough for surgery! read more

Thank you so much to Dr. Todd Driver! My last appointment with Dr. Driver was on October 22nd of last year 2024, and this was the first time I met with him. He is the best Doctor that I have met in my personal life, and this is the reason that I am taking my own time to write this review for him. He had such a warm welcome, and even though this was our first time meeting, it really felt like family here. I can tell right away that he truly, genuinely cared about my past health issue, and really showed concern and sympathy for me. He took his time to listen to everything I said, and it just made me trust him that much more. The aura/energy from him is so friendly, and he is so kind. I just really had to write this review for him so that he knows this, and I hope he can read this too because he has such a good heart. Prior to seeing Dr. Driver, I was dealing with a past health issue that caused so much stress, doubt, and sadness. After seeing him, all that went away, because I had never met a Doctor before that showed this much care and kindness to me. I can tell right away that he cared about my past health problem as equally as I did. This is the first time I had such a piece of mind after seeing a Doctor, and this is why I felt so convicted to write this review. I have been going to OC Eye Associates for about 1 year now, and recently finished all the treatments they put me on. I am so happy to say that I am now all better, thanks to the whole team at OC Eye and Dr. Driver. I want to also thank Charly and Ari. They are both so helpful in the beginning when I arrived, and anyone who goes to OC Eye Associates will see how friendly and helpful they are. Charly kept me informed throughout the whole process and gave me updates. Ari did the preliminary eye tests with me, and helped me get through each one successfully. Thank you once again to Dr. Driver, Charly, Ari, and the whole team at OC Eye Associates. Thank you for being with me all of last year in 2024 as I was going through my treatments. As I mentioned earlier, it really feels like family when I am here, because everyone is so caring. read more

When I first came into contact with the office a couple of years ago, I saw Dr. Kline for my developing cataracts due to diabetes. Later on, because his schedule seemed to be filled up, I began to see Dr. Rende for pink eye and inflammation issues. Dr. Rende was so nice and professional, he made me feel completely at ease during my visits and was patient in answering all of my questions. He was so kind and understanding and would dispel all of my uneasiness. Unfortunately, he is no longer with the office and I was saddened to be informed of his departure. I then began to see Dr. Driver who joined the office shortly after. On and off, I have seen him for my eye infections and constant flare-ups. I love him! He is so personable and treats you like a regular old friend. He explains everything in thorough detail and makes sure you are comfortable before proceeding. He will explain the purpose of certain procedure protocols and ensure you are in the loop about what is happening to your eyes before and after. He is incredibly meticulous and a master of his craft. I have referred a couple of colleagues to see him and all of them have been just as happy with their patient experiences. Dr. Driver did my cataract surgery and restored my vision, and I cannot be more grateful for his impeccable skill! I am so thankful to have such a wonderful doctor in my care team and on my side. I trust him 100%. I have seen Dr. Lindy Hoang a few times in between and she has been great as well. Oh, and I love the staff! Arlene, Hayley, and Sandy to name a few are all so friendly and lovely. Walking into this office is always comforting. read more

JUNE 2024: I advised I wanted to get cataract surgery ASAP. Had to wait over a month to get the biometric exam on 8/6. JULY 2024: My vision rapidly and unexpectedly declined. I called asked the office to get me in sooner. Was told nothing available. Asked to have my name added to their "wait list"; they their office refused to use a WAIT LIST. Office told me I had to call them EACH DAY to find out if someone cancelled. I called each day in July and also emailed. Throughout my month of speaking with this office in July, they failed to advise me NOT to wear my contacts 1 month before the biometric test. AUGUST 2024: At last my long awaited 8/6/24 biometric exam! While in the exam room learned they refused to take metrics because I had worn my contacts before the exam. After I waited a month to get the biometrics tests done & after I hit horrific traffic, this office cancelled my long awaited appointment! This further delayed my cataract surgery by another TWO MONTHS. Before I left the office, they booked next appt in LATE SEPTEMBER! This meant the soonest my cataract surgery could be done would be in OCTOBER when I haven't been able to see properly since June. My optometrist said he's never heard of Dr. Daniel C Kline's rule "no contacts for a month prior to a biometric exam". My optometrist said usually the requirement is "NO CONTACTS FOR THREE DAYS" prior to biometric exam. 8/9/24: Received a letter from Dr. Daniel C. Kline. He added insult to injury. While I was desperately waiting for cataract surgery since June, on 8/9/24 Dr. Daniel C. Kline sent letter stating I was no longer his patient; he did this without the professional courtesy of calling me. read more

This practice is not only modern and the equipment cutting edge but unlike many service providers today they put patients needs first! I woke up Saturday morning with some concerning eye issues. Being a Saturday I assumed they were fully booked and they were. They took my call and the answer was come down now. I said I would be, in half an hour. No problem. From the service handling my call, to intake conversation, thru the exam by Dr. Suen, which was incredibly thorough and she took her time to get it right even though they were fully booked. The whole team: Skye, Ari, Joie and the Dr. Suen had great attitudes and really acted like they enjoyed their jobs! I am sure you may find another office that has the same technical and service offerings What makes this team so worthy of praise is the care they take of people. You just don't get that many places any longer . Highly recommended read more

I have been going to Dr. Kline for at least 10 years (as evidenced by my 6 inch thick chart ). He is an amazing surgeon who placed prescription lenses into my eyes during cataract surgery so that I no longer need contacts or glasses of any kind. The surgery itself went without a hitch and Dr. Kline was great explaining exactly what was going to happen. Know that there will almost always be a wait, but it's because Dr. Kline never rushes you out of his office...he will patiently answer every question you have. I have had severe dry eyes for the last 10 years and recurring eye infections. I have seen optometrists and retina specialists for other eye related issues. After seeing Dr. Lee, she put me on a regiment that would help my eye infection and was very clear and helpful with explaining how it would all work. For my dry eyes, she was able to share with me the plan that she thinks would be best given my eye medical history. She also suggested punctal plugs for the top of my lid when no other doctor had suggested that before. Dr. Lee is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and thoughtful and I appreciated the care that she had for my eyes for the long term, not just the short term of clearing up the eye infection. During my follow up visits I could tell she had thought about my case to continue the best of care. My out of town in-laws were visiting years ago and my father in law had a concerning situation. OC Eye Associates were able to see him, treat the problem and follow up after he returned back to the east coast. We have always referred to OC Eye Associates for a long time now and will continue to do so. I have recently chosen to get new glasses from there as well and suggested to my mom to make an appointment. I also love the ease of working with the front office staff. This review is for Dr. Rende. He's an excellent doctor who thinks outside the box. My left eye had pressure 4x the normal range. Very unusual, especially for my age. He acted quickly and confidently, and saved the vision in my left eye! I followed up 2 weeks later and still had a "scratchy" feeling in my left eye. For a couple of years now, the other physicians kept telling me that I have dry eyes and to keep using eye drops, but it never really resolved itself. But during this 2 week follow-up, Dr. Rende noticed that my lower lashes were protruding inward causing the uncomfortable feeling. He simple removed a couple of my lower lashes, and instantaneously the "scratchy" feeling was gone! Some patients have mentioned his poor bedside manner, but I would rather have poor bedside manner and someone who can properly diagnose and solve my issue. Dr. Rende saved the vision in my left eye. I will be forever grateful. Thank you Dr. Rende! read more
