Front desk ladies are rude AF. Expect to be here an unnecessarily long time with zero communication of what is going on. Only good experience I had here was with the girls who helped me pick out glasses (they deserve all the stars). Very helpful & nice. Yesterday, I had an appointment to get my eyes dilated. I was early, they checked me in & said the doc would be in soon. No one even came back to put the dilation drops in my eyes. I waited for 45 minutes and left after getting major attitude from the front desk. The office manager called me about my visit, which I do appreciate. But ultimately I have been here thrice and just don't feel they care about my wellbeing, or anyone's for that matter. I know I'll be treated better elsewhere. read more

Why is this place above and beyond the rest? They are more thorough and complete than anywhere else. My complete eye exam took almost three hours. They used a few different machines and asked a lot of questions to accurately assess my eyes. Dr. Kline was amazing. My next appointment was with a female doctor who determined my prescription. Again, it took a long time and she was so careful and complete. She had an assistant who measured my eyes for the frames. Again, very careful and complete. My final assistant was the frame technician who was amazing. She picked out a few frames and nailed it. This part of the process is very stressful to me. She was so good and my glasses fit so well. But they were quick to follow up on my dissatisfaction and made good on the eye drops by promising to refund what I paid for the extra bottle, since the original bottle had leaked. My family and I have been seeing doctor Kline for many years and I have referred friends to him who have become lifelong patients. He is the best, and that's probably why it is difficult to get an appointment with him as he's always booked. That said, A few weeks ago, I had a health issue regarding my eye. I called the office, and doctor Charity Lee was able to carve out time for me next day. The quality of care I received with doctor Lee was tops. She is very thorough, kind, patient, knowledgeable. She happily answered all questions and queries I had regarding my eye health and put me at ease. Thank you so much to Dr. Todd Driver! My last appointment with Dr. Driver was on October 22nd of last year 2024, and this was the first time I met with him. He is the best Doctor that I have met in my personal life, and this is the reason that I am taking my own time to write this review for him. He had such a warm welcome, and even though this was our first time meeting, it really felt like family here. I can tell right away that he truly, genuinely cared about my past health issue, and really showed concern and sympathy for me. He took his time to listen to everything I said, and it just made me trust him that much more. The aura/energy from him is so friendly, and he is so kind. I just really had to write this review for him so that he knows this, and I hope he can read this too because he has such a good heart. Prior to seeing Dr. Driver, I was dealing with a past health issue that caused so much stress, doubt, and sadness. After seeing him, all that went away, because I had never met a Doctor before that showed this much care and kindness to me. I can tell right away that he cared about my past health problem as equally as I did. I don't hesitate recommending Dr. Driver to anyone that says they are looking for an ophthalmologist. For those that complain about wait times here, I think the morning appointments work better since they are still on schedule. My wife went to Dr. Driver for her cataract surgeries and all worked out smoothly before and after, and we never had any surprise bills. He even corrected her vision and she doesn't need contacts anymore! The only problem is my wife teases me when she can read small print in the distance and I can't even see it. This practice is not only modern and the equipment cutting edge but unlike many service providers today they put patients needs first! I woke up Saturday morning with some concerning eye issues. Being a Saturday I assumed they were fully booked and they were. They took my call and the answer was come down now. I said I would be, in half an hour. No problem. From the service handling my call, to intake conversation, thru the exam by Dr. Suen, which was incredibly thorough and she took her time to get it right even though they were fully booked. The whole team: Skye, Ari, Joie and the Dr. Suen had great attitudes and really acted like they enjoyed their jobs! I am sure you may find another office that has the same technical and service offerings What makes this team so worthy of praise is the care they take of people. JUNE 2024: I advised I wanted to get cataract surgery ASAP. Had to wait over a month to get the biometric exam on 8/6. JULY 2024: My vision rapidly and unexpectedly declined. I called asked the office to get me in sooner. Was told nothing available. Asked to have my name added to their "wait list"; they their office refused to use a WAIT LIST. Office told me I had to call them EACH DAY to find out if someone cancelled. I called each day in July and also emailed. Throughout my month of speaking with this office in July, they failed to advise me NOT to wear my contacts 1 month before the biometric test. AUGUST 2024: At last my long awaited 8/6/24 biometric exam! While in the exam room learned they refused to take metrics because I had worn my contacts before the exam. After I waited a month to get the biometrics tests done & after I hit horrific traffic, this office cancelled my long awaited appointment! This further delayed my cataract surgery by another TWO MONTHS. Before I left the office, they booked next appt in LATE SEPTEMBER! This meant the soonest my cataract surgery could be done would be in OCTOBER when I haven't been able to see properly since June. My optometrist said he's never heard of Dr. Daniel C Kline's rule "no contacts for a month prior to a biometric exam". My optometrist said usually the requirement is "NO CONTACTS FOR THREE DAYS" prior to biometric exam. 8/9/24: Received a letter from Dr. Daniel C. Kline. He added insult to injury. While I was desperately waiting for cataract surgery since June, on 8/9/24 Dr. Daniel C. Kline sent letter stating I was no longer his patient; he did this without the professional courtesy of calling me. read more

He is an amazing surgeon who placed prescription lenses into my eyes during cataract surgery so that I no longer need contacts or glasses of any kind. I recently moved to California and was looking for a new Ophthalmologist to get my annual eye exam. I was recommended to set up an appointment at this office and it was the best experience I had! When I first came into contact with the office a couple of years ago, I saw Dr. Kline for my developing cataracts due to diabetes. Later on, because his schedule seemed to be filled up, I began to see Dr. Rende for pink eye and inflammation issues. Dr. Rende was so nice and professional, he made me feel completely at ease during my visits and was patient in answering all of my questions. He was so kind and understanding and would dispel all of my uneasiness. Unfortunately, he is no longer with the office and I was saddened to be informed of his departure. I then began to see Dr. Driver who joined the office shortly after. On and off, I have seen him for my eye infections and constant flare-ups. I love him! He is so personable and treats you like a regular old friend. He explains everything in thorough detail and makes sure you are comfortable before proceeding. He will explain the purpose of certain procedure protocols and ensure you are in the loop about what is happening to your eyes before and after. He is incredibly meticulous and a master of his craft. I have referred a couple of colleagues to see him and all of them have been just as happy with their patient experiences. Dr. Driver did my cataract surgery and restored my vision, and I cannot be more grateful for his impeccable skill! I am so thankful to have such a wonderful doctor in my care team and on my side. I have had severe dry eyes for the last 10 years and recurring eye infections. I have seen optometrists and retina specialists for other eye related issues. After seeing Dr. Lee, she put me on a regiment that would help my eye infection and was very clear and helpful with explaining how it would all work. For my dry eyes, she was able to share with me the plan that she thinks would be best given my eye medical history. She also suggested punctal plugs for the top of my lid when no other doctor had suggested that before. Dr. Lee is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and thoughtful and I appreciated the care that she had for my eyes for the long term, not just the short term of clearing up the eye infection. During my follow up visits I could tell she had thought about my case to continue the best of care. My out of town in-laws were visiting years ago and my father in law had a concerning situation. OC Eye Associates were able to see him, treat the problem and follow up after he returned back to the east coast. We have always referred to OC Eye Associates for a long time now and will continue to do so. I have recently chosen to get new glasses from there as well and suggested to my mom to make an appointment. I also love the ease of working with the front office staff. This review is for Dr. Rende. He's an excellent doctor who thinks outside the box. My left eye had pressure 4x the normal range. Very unusual, especially for my age. He acted quickly and confidently, and saved the vision in my left eye! I followed up 2 weeks later and still had a "scratchy" feeling in my left eye. For a couple of years now, the other physicians kept telling me that I have dry eyes and to keep using eye drops, but it never really resolved itself. But during this 2 week follow-up, Dr. Rende noticed that my lower lashes were protruding inward causing the uncomfortable feeling. He simple removed a couple of my lower lashes, and instantaneously the "scratchy" feeling was gone! Some patients have mentioned his poor bedside manner, but I would rather have poor bedside manner and someone who can properly diagnose and solve my issue. Dr. Rende saved the vision in my left eye. I just finished cataract surgery with Dr. Kline after seeing him for several years for check-ups. I decided to have the surgery when my night vision was so bad I didn't feel safe driving. I'd always admired Dr. Kline's expertise and thorough explanation of the condition of my eyes, and had complete confidence in his opinion and skills. The whole procedure was completely explained to me by the office staff, including scheduling, cost and recovery. So, the whole process was perfect. The actual surgeries were about a month apart with no pain and immediate results. I really liked my Dr here, but BE PREPARED TO WAIT! When I came in to pick up my glasses, I had to wait over 1 full hour. I was about to leave, then I saw then a woman come in with lunch leftovers in a bag. When I was called back, that woman helped me. I was pretty upset because I was obviously scheduled during her lunch break. Not necessarily her fault, but I think the front desk needs to adjust their scheduling process. If you have any issues with your glasses, they are pretty difficult to get ahold of. I played phone tag with one woman and then she ended up just not returning my phone calls. Aside from that, the Drs are great and really know what they are doing. The office is clean as well. read more

I made an appointment at Orange County Eye Associates to address a swelling under my eye. I attempted to make an appointment with Dr. Kline; but I could not get an immediate appointment. I made an appointment with Dr. Rende and sadly I was very unsatisfied with my examination. It was the worst interaction I have had with a doctor. He indicated that he was not sure what the issue was and I expressed fear that it may be skin cancer. He said he was new at the office and did not know the procedure for a biopsy and that he would need to consult Dr. Kline, He stepped out of the office and he spoke to someone I thought was Dr. Kline. When he returned I asked if Dr. Kline was available to look at the issue under my eye. He appeared to get angry and asked me "why?". He said Dr. Kline was not there and then rudely told me that he thought his treatment plan of recommending a steroid ointment was good. I really was not questioning his treatment plan, I was willing to try it. He then asked me if I had any suggestions and that he was open to suggestions. I thought this was an odd statement for a doctor to make to a patient. He then asked me if I wanted him to biopsy the skin. I definitely did not want him to biopsy anything at that point . I guess I insulted him; but that was not my intent. He then apologized and told me he did not mean to "give me the run-around". When I got in the elevator, I started to cry. Maybe I'm sensitive; but as a patient you are in a very vulnerable state and in my opinion this interaction was just not appropriate. I did want to mention the receptionist and medical assistants were very nice. That is the only reason I am leaving two stars. read more
