I am writing this review due to the lack of care and attention I received from Dr. Wang.
I first saw her in September 2025 for an orbital blowout fracture. She had a resident assisting her during the appointment. Neither of them were very welcoming and trying to explain the injury to them was very difficult. While I was trying to explain my situation, I kept being asked baseline questions that felt dismissive and somewhat rude.
The doctor reviewed my CT scan from the emergency department and stated that it was very choppy and difficult to see. However, based on the report, she acknowledged that she could see the injury. She repeatedly stated that surgery was not recommended because it could result in double vision. While I understand that double vision is a potential risk factor, I was told it is considered a low risk. I explained that I was unable to look upward and was experiencing vision difficulties, but my symptoms seemed to be dismissed as she continued to focus on the risk of double vision.
After I insisted that something needed to be done, her plan was to prescribe a steroid for two weeks and order a new CT scan to see if the fracture would improve on its own. I consulted another doctor previously who informed me that if surgery were performed, the risk of double vision would be extremely low.
It was very difficult to schedule a follow-up appointment. After completing the new CT scan in December, I was finally able to schedule an appointment for January. When I arrived, the technician brought me to the exam room and asked if I had my CT results. I explained that I did not have them because Dr. Wang had ordered the imaging. The technician repeatedly questioned 3 times why radiology did not provide the results to me. After about two minutes of back-and-forth, she left the room. I then overheard her and the doctor whispering outside my room about the fact that I did not have the CT results. It felt very unprofessional, as obtaining imaging results should be handled by the office.
When Dr. Wang entered the room, she appeared visibly annoyed and was passive-aggressive in her demeanor. She did not ask about the steroid she had prescribed, did not review my new CT results during the visit, and again focused on the risk of double vision from surgery, even though I had not mentioned surgery during that appointment. I explained that I was still experiencing symptoms and asked what the long-term plan would be.
She stated that glaucoma can develop within a few years and referred me to a specialist, but she did not create a treatment plan, provide new information, or review my updated imaging to determine whether I was healing. She was in the room for approximately three minutes. I felt rushed, unheard, and dismissed.
Overall, I found Dr. Wang to be unprofessional and unprepared. I deeply regret not seeking a second opinion sooner or choosing another provider in the office. Other physicians have told me that this was substandard care and that the interaction was unprofessional. I am unsure whether this was discriminatory or simply poor bedside manner, but the experience was extremely upsetting.
The office charged my insurance $500 for this visit to where she did absolutely nothing. I also got charged $300 for a CT that she never reviewed or needed to order. This whole process has been terrible, and I do not recommend going to this business for anything. read more
