Peohe's in Coronado is the most reviewed restaurant so I had to see. The restaurant appears a bit dated but was clean and presented nicely. There's interior and exterior seating, but with sunny San Diego weather, seating outside umbrella shades and waterfront views is preferred. The staff were very accommodating, helpful and nice, special thanks to our server Elle who had a positive attitude. The food selections were excellent. We ordered the seafood pasta, sesame crusted salmon for entrees and both were delicious. The Peohe salad and the red velvet cake were also yummy. This restaurant is part of the Chart House collection of restaurants throughout the nation, so most of the menu selections will be similar. Despite the common thread, the service, food and ambience were all fantastic. Recommend

Hubby wanted lobster but ended up ordering a prime rib end cut that came with garlic mashed potatoes. His drink ordered was a chocolate and bourbon drink that had a nice huge ice cube along with a skewered cherry and a solid chocolate ball. My mother in law had a blood orange and sage nonalcoholic beverage and she really enjoyed it. For dinner she had a wedge salad and lobster bisque soup. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and it was quite a generous portion with plenty of lobster chunks. I ordered the berry fauxhito which was quite refreshing. Sorry, we did share the pupu platter which had ahi poke, lobster sushi rolls, egg rolls, shrimp cocktail, and fried shrimp. We really enjoyed all of the elements on the platter. My favorites were the two different shrimp offerings. The restaurant had both indoor and outdoor dining options, a sushi bar, as well as a regular bar. The atmosphere could be considered romantic in their large curved booths or business casual and also family friendly. There is something for everyone here. Also, shoutout to Devin as they were a magnificent server and met all our questions and needs. We will definitely be back.

Came here on a Saturday for lunch and absolutely loved it. We shared quite a few dishes and everything was great. The salmon on the bento box was 10/10. I shared fish and chips with one of my friends and we both really enjoyed it. The drinks were pretty good, however I think the food is what really made the experience so great. And the view!

First time dining at Peohe's!!! The staff were friendly and willing to assist. The fish was delightful, tasty and delicious. This place is so romantic whether dining inside or outside with heaters. This eatery is part of the Landry chain. Give this place a try if you ever visit Coronado, San Diego.

I absolutely love Peohe's. The waterfront view is stunning. The poke is my fave...super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. Happy Hour is also a great deal, with food specials around $6-$12 and solid drink prices...$5.50 beers, $6 well drinks, and $9-$10 signature cocktails. Amazing views, great poke, and one of my favorite Happy Hours in Coronado!

Monday evening about 4:30 PM and I think the restaurant was a bit understaffed. There was no hostess as we entered and we weren't sure if they were even open for business except that we saw people sitting at the patio. Also, there were two ladies before us who said that there was someone working but she didn't come back yet and they've decided to leave so we could take their spot. Soon after a host appeared and put us on the waitlist. The restaurant was pretty empty. Nobody in the indoor dining area. We asked to be seated in the dining area and they places us in an enclosed patio which turned out perfect. We had a beautiful view and we had prompt service with recommendations and time to review our menus. However, they placed our appetizer before we got our waters. The Coconut Crunchy Shrimp was excellent and I ordered the Spider Roll which was delicious. My friend ordered the Salmon Aloha Catch, she asked how did they sauce the salmon but I think her question stumped the server and he said in a pan (you had your choice of grilled, baked, blackened and sautéed). She said the salmon was good but her veggies needed some salt. We were celebrating her birthday and a dessert with a candle is always a nice touch. I'll be back next week for another birthday celebration as this restaurant was the choice of the celebrant.

Had a wonderful dinner at Peohe's. The view is spectacular and the inside is gorgeous with coral rock and a waterfall. My sever Hailey was superb and knowledgeable and the manager Scott we chatted with was also very terrific. Lamp chops were the best and juicy. Sea bass was fresh and moist, and the chocolate bourbon old fashioned was the best I've had in a while. Looking forward to coming back !

Came here for Valentine's Day and although the wait was longer than anticipated, with a reservation, it was understandable for the day. Nevertheless it was a great dinner with an amazing view of the city and our server was nice and attentive, which made the wait all that much more worth it. Steak was tender, lobster was fresh, views unmatched. Made our 15th Valentines Dinner memorable. Definitely coming back for another special dinner in the future.

My wife, son, and I came here for lunch and this place is amazing on Coronado Island. Highly recommend sitting on the patio area and enjoying the downtown San Diego views from the water. Restaurant is huge and plenty of seating so it's easy to walk in or make reservation. Great food options, you won't be disappointed!

For Restaurant Week, we were in search for a waterfront restaurant to maximize our dining experience. We had a few options to consider and decided on Peohe's. They say it's a favorite in Coronado and very well known for its fresh tropical seafood dishes but the proof is in the pudding--we had to see about that. It was easy to get to by car plus a parking lot is available at Coronado Ferry Landing Marketplace. We could've taken the ferry for the full-on waterfront experience but wanted to have ample time for dinner. When we entered this modern-looking wood and glass building, it's island-inspired interior had a posh flair. We immediately requested outdoor seating. And once we got there, OMG what a stunning harbor view!! Later on, we witnessed a few times the ferry swirling into the landing at the dock. Our waiter and other staff provided a warm-friendly service even the people dining there were friendly too creating an inviting laid-back atmosphere. Come to find out, "Peohe's" is a Hawaiian word meaning "Gathering of Friends". What a beautiful evening in good company and surroundings! I felt like I was on vacation. The Restaurant Week menu had some really great options for our palates. Our dinner ended up to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Hands down, Peohe's is the BEST restaurant. Highly recommend it!! We look forward to returning :-)

This restaurant was really great! Not only is it beautiful, it has a gorgeous view on the water. I had the blackened salmon and my husband had the blackened swordfish. Both of them were delicious! We had mud pie for dessert and it was okay but the roasted almonds on top were sort of overpowering. The wait staff was excellent and the food was served perfectly. Highly recommend.

I decided to go to here for SDRW since it's been awhile since I've been here. We were seated next to window which allowed us amazing views of the water. Three course dinner $50 Peohe's Salad - Really loved the candied walnuts and freshness of the vinaigrette. It was actually so much I almost couldn't finish. Fireside Salmon - So tender and the piece was actually a big piece. Crème Brûlée - Smooth with a perfect crust. Loved the Fizz & Bergamont - Pretty drink and not too alcohol. I did take away star because we weren't paid attention as much as we would have liked. We had to flag down the waiters to refill our drinks or get anything else we needed. Otherwise, food and view was great and I would return again.

Haha........

I wanted to check this place out after seeing it several times in Instagram…read more Pros: - Friday lunch was a breeze; no wait. - Lower tier ($45) for the options they have sounds about right. Quality is decent considering it's an AYCE place; I would say it's actually on the better side. - Spicy yellowtail ACTUALLY has a kick. I'm used to places saying it's spicy and it's...not. - The place looks fairly small, but they have some outdoor seating with an awesome view. Cons: - Parking is difficult in general in Coronado so no shock here. - Avoid the mix sushi sashimi...it definitely was on the fishier side. - Service is somewhat slow? So delicious and the highlight of my whole experience plus the takoyaki and shrimp tempura. The sushi melts in your mouth and is so good. The takoyaki was sooo delicious! The gyoza was good but the sauce could be better. I tried the premium hand roll and the salmon roll sushi and ok I was disgusted because it tasted like fishy LOL... couldn't get the thought of fish sperm out of my head.. The sashimis were alright Disappointed because they didn't have bluefin belly fish at the time I came in.. UTC roll was not good I don't recommend But the hotel del sushi was so fireee! The theme of Sushi MARU is truly attention to detail, and that extends from arrival, to service, to, of course, the food. Staff were incredibly attentive and easy to talk to, including the chefs. The food, I will comment on just generally as the menu is constantly changing (as is the case with many omakase): each dish was composed of pieces that complemented each other well and created a cohesive flavor pallette. Each nigiri was artfully prepared that emphased the quality and cut of the fish, and were complemented by flavors to further highlight that. The flow of the evening was non-traditional omakase, but it felt perfect. Price ($180pp) is not for the faint of heart, but is cheaper than others I've seen. Too many places hand you salmon skin that has been sitting around at room temp which is still enjoyable but not the same thing. Ikuru does it right. Wrapped with radish sprouts and cucumber. My wife ordered a roll with spicy tuna. I tried it to be fair. And look, I respect the genre, but spicy tuna is just not for me. It is mushy paste that is a spicy mayo vehicle IMHO. The crunchy spicy roll... so I asked if they could swap the spicy tuna for fresh loin. They said yes without hesitation for $3.50. That substitution turned the roll into something genuinely delicious. Clean fish, great texture, and the crunch actually meant something. If there is one downside, it is the special roll menu leans heavily on spicy this and spicy that, or imitation crab in almost every option. I do not mind an upcharge and I do not love making special requests of the chef. I would just appreciate a more varied selection so the creativity of the kitchen can shine without needing edits. Ikuru Sushi is still the kind of place that respects ingredients and respects the customer. Fresh fish, thoughtful preparation, and a willingness to customize without attitude.
