I stayed at The Baby Grand for my birthday and the receptionist suggested I make reservations at The Fallen Empire I had such a great experience. We enjoyed the lobster, sashimi, shrimp cocktail, and drinks, and everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The seafood was fresh, the flavors were well-balanced, and the cocktails were the perfect addition to the evening. The atmosphere was stylish and made it feel like a special night out. What stood out most was the overall experience -- from the food to the ambiance, it felt like a place designed for celebrating special moments. I'm glad we chose The Fallen Empire and would definitely come back to try more of the menu!

Beautiful restaurant/speakeasy vibes! Oyster bar with caviar service and excellent choice of wines and champagne. One of my favorite places currently!

I booked a reservation here a few days in advance, and they do fill up quickly, so reservations are definitely recommended. Just be aware of their cancellation policy. There is a $50 cancellation fee per person if you cancel within 24 hours, and they are very strict about enforcing it. The space itself is absolutely adorable and unlike anywhere else. You walk through a white door with a crab-shaped doorknob, and the hostess presses a button that opens another door leading into a beautiful, unique room. The whole atmosphere is very creative and makes for a fun experience. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired, which seems to be a common theme with Consortium locations. Our server mentioned that this was a Champagne bar, so my friend ordered the three Champagne tastings, which came out to over $80. He found the tasting pretty underwhelming and regretted ordering it. I ordered the: *Purple Kisses: this this was definitely the highlight. It was a really unique and delicious cocktail. It wasn't very liquor-forward, but wasn't too sweet either, which was great. They also offer small bites if you want something to snack on. Pricey though and a lot of things that didn't catch my attention like caviar and octopus. The bites ranged from around $30-$75. The biggest issue came at the end of the night. After asking for the bill, the pen wasn't working, and we sat there for about 15 minutes with no one coming to help us. I tried waving down a server who was helping a table literally a foot away, but he completely ignored me. Eventually, we left without even signing the bill because we couldn't get anyone's attention. I personally think Night Hawk has a stronger cocktail menu, although I didn't get a chance to try as many drinks here. Overall, Fallen Empire is a beautiful space with a really unique atmosphere, but the service was disappointing and the prices are pretty excessive. Between the three Champagne tastings and my cocktail, the total was around $120. I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a drink and checking out the space, but I wouldn't make this your main cocktail destination for the night.

Came back because the customer service was attentive and was celebrating a friend's birthday so a champagne bar felt in order. We ordered two glasses of champagne and they had sushi hand rolls on the menu. Also love that they incorporated the feedback and brought us chopsticks - that was appreciated! The servers were friendly and took care of us, the vibes were great and they brought out a custom happy birthday cocktail for the friend which was a nice touch.

Fallen Empire at the Baby Grand is a gorgeous speakeasy with vintage vibes and luxe maximalist decor. It's a great spot for romantic cocktails and an intimate dinner with that special someone, or chic cocktails with friends to wrap up the night or get the party started.

Ambiance is fun, gaudy, and opulent. I am here for it! Drink choices were a bit sparse. However, the wine and champagne choice are aplenty. We did not get food so I can't give input on that. The service was great. Our server was friendly and had good knowledge of the menu. Overall, I would definitely try this place just for the vibe. It a good date place as well.

Going for cocktails? Skip!!! This is the kind of spot that's all about aesthetics over quality. Each cocktail is ~$20 and they stick a giant ice cube in the cup so I'd imagine there's only 2oz of actual liquid inside the glass. $20 for essentially a fancy shot is a huge rip off in my book. We ordered two drinks, "Eyes Wide Open" and "Purple Kisses". Purple Kisses was good, but Eyes Wide Open tasted just like straight champagne until the very bottom where you could taste the other ingredients. Felt like it wasn't properly mixed. There were only about 5 cocktail selections, which I don't mind, but it was a bummer one was such a miss. Service was fine I guess. There are only like 8 tables in the whole spot and I did feel like they could have checked in faster given how few tables there were to manage for three people. Also, we got sat right under an A/C vent. It was blowing cold air on us for the 30 minutes we were there and we were freezing.

We really enjoyed it. The place is beautiful, the drinks were great and so was the food. The only thing we were disappointed about is the amount of times the door was opened to just let people look inside. We felt it ruined the atmosphere.

one of the best's speakeasy's ever , fallen empire is my favorite place of all time, the service was amazing, the ambiance was extraordinary, under the sea vibes , definitely come here with ur friends or lover for sure. And oh the food was so freakin good, I got the Alaskan King crab with a caper crab salad & cocktail sauce + a shrimp cocktail for the table, and yes they are bite sizes but SOOO delicious, so I wouldn't come here looking for a full course meal it is a champagne & oyster bar , but the drinks are bomb asf, and at the end the bill will come , so always be ready to pay the tab + a good tip if you may , my waiter was the best tbh ,my night was amazing here will be coming again soon with manz :) ( OH! and always make a reservation !!!)

If you're going JUST for the drinks, then yes it's 100% worth it. The drinks were good, even though I had a mocktail. Both my friend and I were starving and hadn't eaten all day bc we were essentially saving our appetite for our reservation. The food was sub par, to say the least. I get that it's a speak easy and the focus is on drinks, but a little effort for the price would be nice. We both ordered lobster rolls and I thought they smelled like body Odor, but I kept ther to myself.. not even two mins later .. my friend says "these taste musty" and I'm like ok.. indefinitely smelled BO, but at that point I was starving! We both did not like our food, but again we were starving.. we wrote it off and said we'll just try to get seats at the bar of Night Hawk and order food. The first come first serve ended up taking too long so we walked over to Brigatine to eat: which is crazy bc our bill was about $150 + Just to have to go somewhere else and get food to fill our appetites. Service was great though, everyone was friendly.

We made a reservation for a Tuesday at 7:30 & were seated quickly even though it was fairly busy! Service was wonderful and the drinks/raw bar were top tier. Highly recommend for a memorable night out!

We celebrated my wife's birthday (birthday eve, more accurately) at the exquisite little champagne & oyster bar known as Fallen Empire, in the flamboyant, splashy, vibey Baby Grand Hotel. The space is dazzling; you feel like you're inside a Kusama art exhibition with all the mirrors and lights. The music is upbeat and groovy. The champagne selection is impressive, with top quality by-the-glass options and a nice array of bottles from all over the Champagne region in France. The seafood plates were delectable, and the service was friendly and warm. Waiter Dan and somm Rubi were super helpful and nice. We enjoyed the super fresh kumamoto oysters, caviar cones (tiny little umami/caviar bombs of flavor), kanpachi sashimi, and king crab - which included pieces of fresh grab, and a surprisingly delightful crab cocktail mixed with capers. Overall, we had a superb experience, and we'll be back for celebrations and special occasions. Our only qualm was with the caviar service dish (he said, quickly distinguishing himself as a massive douche). Caviar was piled on top of a big dollop of crème fraîche, which made good sense. But it was accompanied by truffle flavored potato chips, rather than regular chips. The truffle flavor of the chips distorted the brine, nutty flavor of the caviar. With a dish as distinctive of delicious as caviar, the gimmick of truffle is really not needed. I'm hopeful the caviar service will come with regular potato chips or Bellinis or some other non-truffle option in the future.

Small space but great ambiance, very beautiful elegant Gatsby vibe. Drinks were great, food was delicious. Pricey but awesome experience

The restaurant is beautiful and sits right on the water. There is plenty of parking and there is also valet for $10. I had a party of 10 so they were able to accommodate everyone with ease. I ordered the fried shrimp and seafood fettuccine. I also tried the crab cake, fried calamari, steam pot mussels, lobster bisque and the fish/chips. Lmbo Yea, Yea, I know that's a lot of food but it was my birthday to pig out. Starting with the seafood fettuccine, overall it was good. The best parts were the seafood which it was loaded with baby scallops, shrimp, mussels, and fish. It was also flavorful and seasoned well. The negative was the sauce. It was more like a broth which did not do the dish justice. HOWEVER, I used the sauce from the steam pot mussels and that made the dish perfect! The mussels were awesome in that creamy "cajuny" sauce so I had the idea to use the leftover sauce for the pasta! That's also a note to the Chef! lol The crab cakes were also really good! You get two and the sauce that comes with just takes it over the top. The calamari was also a great choice! They were flash fried and seasoned well. It came with a sweet sauce that also went well with it and the fried shrimp. Now the fried shrimp was okay. It was breaded but did not have much flavor to it. It came with a jelly type sauce that did not pair well in my opinion so I used the calamari sauce which worked well. Lastly, I tried the fish and chips. It wasn't the best fish and chips but it was solid. I think the batter could be seasoned a little better. They also held the cake in the back for us until it was time to sing happy birthday. Very appreciative of the staff accommodating such a big group near kitchen close time of 9pm. I wish I could remember our waitress name because she was a rockstar! Definitely recommend and will be back!

As always, the place was bustling! This place gives off a Beverly Hills vibe, yet unpretentious at the same time...as the service is very friendly and the menu pricing was affordable. This time, I tried their "Beverly Hills Club"...and this club was so big, we decided to just order this 1 entree and share. We added the Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice appetizer, and this dessert, Molten Butter Cake. Well, we definitely made the right decision by splitting the club sando as half portion was more than enough. The appetizer Spicy Tuna was absolutely delicious, and the dessert was simply heavenly! Lastly, that Pina Colada Cocktail just couldn't be better!! If there's just one thing that could be improved was the speed of service. We weren't sure if the foods were just late in getting cooked and prepped, or if there's just a delay in getting them delivered...but it took quite awhile. Again, the place was bustling as well. Luckily, the ambiance of the place was so nice, we didn't mind waiting! In fact, I only wish I can return to wait some more.

Before I get started on the hundreds of amazing things to say about this place, let's start off with one "annoying" thing. It was hard to find. There were absolutely no signs in the hotel pointing you to where the restaurants would be. We also asked several hotel staff members and got even more confused. Once we found the little strip of several restaurants, we accidentally walked right past it thinking it was apart of the NoBu restaurant. Now that I know where it is, I'll know exactly where to go. Let's talk about all the GOOD! The view was beautiful. There were lots of kids playing on the grass in front of the restaurant but the way they set up the place, it wasn't loud at all and cute to see. The staff members were on top of their game. Nothing went unnoticed! They all worked as a team. The Knowledge about the restaurant, the food, and the drinks was very impressive. Even if you couldn't decide, they would happily guide you to make the right choices. - I want to give a shoutout to Mark our waiter. He was an absolute delight. He was witty, knowledgeable, lead us in the right direction, and spoiled us for our birthday celebration dinner. He made the experience 10x better. About the food...I'm still thinking about the delicious food they served and it's been weeks since I was there. I want to put extra attention on the halibut ceviche, WOW! That needs to be a staple is you visit, it's a must try. Also please don't ever take this off the menu! I would solely travel out here just for the alone and buy 5 at a time (yes it was that good). The sauce they put it in makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Everything here is very unique and worth it. There wasn't one bad food item at all. Plus the drinks, were so smooth. If for whatever reason you wanted to alter your drink (like someone at my party did) they were happy to accommodate and then they also executed perfectly. It is a little bit on the pricier side, but once you experience the service, the extra care, and the delicious food you can confidently say it's worth it. I hope more people experience this place, they deserve more than five stars.

The focaccia was good, although I didn't care for the chicken-like flavor of the butter served with it. The Greek chicken was bland. I couldn't tell what made it "Greek," since the seasoning added little flavor, and the chicken was simply cut into chunks. The whole fish of the day tasted good, but I was shocked to find out it cost $200. When I asked what the fish of the day was, our server told me what it was but didn't mention the market price. I would never have ordered it had I known. I was also left unsure what the preparation was supposed to be. At the table, the server squeezed lemon over the fish, and that was the extent of the presentation I saw. I understand that "market price" can vary, but $200 is a price I would have expected the server to disclose before we ordered. Between that surprise, the slow and messy service, and food that was mostly underwhelming, the views were not enough to make up for the experience. I won't be back, ever.
