I work in Walnut Creek and started coming to Peet's Café every morning. From my very first visit, the staff was so friendly and helpful, even making me something that wasn't on the menu. Now they know my order when I walk in, which makes me feel so welcomed! Kiersten, Lora and John are amazing--always helpful and friendly. . Great coffee and even better customer service! read more

Barristas are excellent but pastries are garbage. They used to be very good until the last 18mo or so.

What a crowded Peet's this is! Other people in line, but the service was very efficient. I got a scone and a pumpkin chai latte and both were delicious. The food is very attractive. The ambience was good. I think the only thing missing is a bathroom and easy parking. read more

This Peet's was fine. It was the usual Peet's decor (perhaps a bit run down). We app ordered an iced americano and a banana bread. Both were ready in a couple minutes. The drinks were great and the banana bread was nicely warmed up. They even came around with drink and cookie samples. read more

This location for Peet's is where it's at despite how busy it can get during peak hours, it is always organized and the line keeps moving along. Some Peet's locations is all over the place and everyone is standing everywhere but not here! Bathroom is also always clean and the customer service is ultimately what keeps my mama and I coming back here. They know my mama by name here and her order. Though I am not a coffee drinker, they always remember me when I come in. Give this location a shot next time you are craving coffee, you won't be disappointed! read more

The team at this location is great and the drinks are always just right. Appreciate the great service!

I tried the new Dubai iced Matcha. It was good but it was 3/4 ice so I got about 9 sips before it was gone, it's too much money for how little matcha you actually get to drink. The service is good but the app is terrible. Twice now my bank shows the payment when I order ahead but when I arrive at the store they don't have my order. So if you can't order ahead it's not as convenient to go there. read more

I just went to Peets as I sometimes do with my dog a 25 pound incredibly well behaved Golden Doodle. I ordered my usual breakfast sandwich and the male server whom I didnt recognize asked if my dog was a service dog - which he isnt. I said No and he said dogs arent allowed. I replied none of the other staff have brought this up and he replied new rule, someone complained. Okay I get that no problem but I responded "Well I guess I better go back to Starbucks" who allow dogs with open arms. He replied "well pity their coffee sucks". What a totally unprofessional response to trash your competitors to a customer. Just completely rude in general. Had he paid any attention he would have noticed I only ordered a sandwich at Peets - why - because the coffee at that location tastes horrible. I would avoid this location. Some of the staff and service sucks!! I highly recommend Starbucks on Main Street!!!! read more

The worst Peet's Coffee I've been to. For one thing, they didn't have Major Dickason for ordering. They only had the decaf version. So, they offered me some lame medium roast, and I told them, no... I wanted a dark roast. So, I ended up with a large cup of Columbia, which I didn't like and didn't finish. I was an hour early to meet friends for dinner at 5 Tacos & Beers, so I sat for an hour. It was really uncomfortable. They swept the place twice while I was there and kept moving garbage bags to the back. It just wasn't a relaxing environment. The staff was very nice though and offered to put my coffee in a paper cup to go, but I just didn't want the coffee. It wasn't Major Dickason, so I left more than 1/2 of it unfinished. They should have had more choices available. read more

I love Peet's coffee. I have been an avid visitor at this location in the downtown area of Walnut Creek. It definitely has made some renovations during the pandemic. What I noticed was less tables and chairs inside, restricting large parties of 3 or more. I food this to be the trend to many major coffee shops like Starbucks and Philz coffee. This shop consistently is busy, however the customer service is still excellent. I love the array of pastries that are displayed and you have the option to warm them up, just yummy! The coffee that I normally order is the house special, just plain black, "Big Bang"nothing to fancy. Once in a while, I will treat myself to a white chocolate mocha with oat milk. So if you like great quality premium coffee give Peet's a shot! Enjoy! read more

It's becoming a regular thing for me to get my caramel macchiato every Sunday, after dropping off my husband to his work.i would go to the Peet's Coffee in Walnut Creek FOOD Nothing to specifically need to mention, except I just found out that their Chicken Waffle is no longer available. I was told that it was seasonal. Bummer! Please bring it back. I ordered the frittata instead. SERVICE I'm writing this review due to this category. The staff is friendly. While I was waiting for my drinks, one of them (an Asian guy) offered me a tray and a stopper. He didn't have to, but the thought of him offering them shows that he cares-- that he knew I was bringing the other coffee to someone else. Thank you! AMBIENCE It was a Sunday morning, lots of people. You may think that this is another Peet's chain. But I beg to differ, due to their great customer service, I highly recommend and will come back to this location (@ Locust St) in Walnut Creek! read more

I love Peet's. This location my experience was not good. I ordered pretty quick and tipped. My drink took time. I asked as I started seeing customers that came after getting their drinks. The barista was like it's coming. I heard her ask the cashier to take order 2 which was mine. At that time she started to make my drink and made it cold. I ordered hot. she made my drink and it was okay. I think she rushed. I would not recommend this location. Ambiance is nice, very open feel. read more

Super cute peets I'm downtown Walnut Creek ! Stopped in before heading to run some errands and it was perfect timing. No wait. My order was promptly taken. Friendly staff. Fast service. Has some high top tables as well as low top. Some outdoor seating to people watch. Nice place to meet up with a friend for coffee or a nice solo coffee date. Will be back whenever I'm in the area. read more

Great location. Plenty of seating. Nice hey make the best flat whites! Good friendly service.

I went to this store almost every day when my kids were growing up. I'd grab a latte to jump start my afternoon of sports with the kids. I stopped going to Peets altogether when they wiped the staff out maybe 10 years ago? I've been slowly going back, and no problems with the store or the staff. With the rainy season though, there's a group that's kind of taken over the whole store in the afternoons. For some reason, their picture is on the wall as premier customers. I hate to be a total grouch, but there's no place to sit because they take all the chairs and there's a clear sign on both doors saying "No dogs." Yet one woman brings her dog inside with her. It's a bummer, I dread going in since there's never chairs to sit on. read more

I love Peet's Coffee, however this location is the worst to get coffee from. From, your mobile orders being stolen and have to waste time back in line to get it reordered. Parking is horrible. And coffee orders are made horribly and nasty to drink. A total bad location, recommend you go to the other locations in the area instead. read more

I frequent this location almost every morning because of how close it is to my place of employment. Everyone is always so friendly and the drinks are made quickly and efficiently. If I've ever had issues with a drink they kindly remake it. With so many excellent coffee shops in Walnut Creek, its hard to want to come to Peets and even Starbucks for that matter! One of the best coffee shops ironically is named "Coffee Shop" on Locust St literally a few shops away from Peet's. Walnut Creek also opened up a brand new Philz recently, so the coffee competition is definitely heating up. This Peet's has a good sized seating area, free wifi, and some outlets for your gadgets near the seats out in front. Its a bit on the small side however and seems less conducive for hanging out and studying. One big negative for me is the restroom (singular) - its located out back and requires a physical key. We normally come here only if the lines at Coffee Shop are too long and we're crunched for time (e.g., trying to catch a movie). read more

First time here Sam goes above and beyond with her intuitive personality and friendly customer service. I purchased a coffee but notice I was under the weather. Peet's is always a coffee spot i go to for good and unique brews. brew: mocca-java (m. 2.75) dark roast, no cream, sugar -tasted light for a dark roast, doesn't have the usual dickinson profile -2nd or 3rd sip i took a shine to it blend of java & ethiopian mocca beans. -look forward for this blend, definitelty unique. drips: -it's still available in the afternoon! unlike starbucks. read more

The people here suck! I was carrying my phone and two hot coffees and I lost my grip and I called for help no one came to me. I burned my hand spilled my coffee everyone just looks at me I put my two coffees down and my wet phone and started to clean the floor. Not one Peet's worker helped me and sadly not one customer even though I screamed "please help" I'm honestly saddened this is the closest Peet's to me. Never again coming back here. Wishing for it to shut down so a cute mom and pop coffee shop will open instead! read more

Of all the Peet's we visit, this downtown shop consistently makes the best lattes of all. The baristas have worked here a long time and they are excellent. Love the seating outside, their comfy Adirondack chairs are just wonderful. read more

This Peet's is a hit or miss depending on what you like to order. Most days I come in for a Black Tie which I've never have a problem with. The few times I've come in for lattes I've been underwhelmed. The lattes usually come with a huge dollop of foam instead of the silky foam a latte should have. After you get through the dollop foam, the drink usually looks like regular coffee with milk. Since I've had amazing lattes at other Peets locations, I know the baristas and machines can make great lattes, it just seems like the WC location doesn't train their staff as well. There is also always guaranteed to be a line in the mornings on weekdays and weekends so be prepared to wait. read more

If you know me (or even if you've just stood behind me in line at any coffeehouse I frequent or have read a few of my Yelp reviews), you know I like my coffee like I like my men: black and skrong. Peet's is well-known for their sultry, stoic blends which is why they have remained my office's bagged brew of choice. (We ain't no Folgers-holders, honeychile!) Now, normally I just throw my contribution in and am ever so grateful that my boss does the footwork for us lazy dogs. (Quite literally... She walks down the street instead of driving because hello, we've entered the Fitbit era.) But last week I got to work and realized there was absolutely no black crack on deck. None. Nada. Zilch. I knew if the whole squad (especially el jefe!) came in and noticed the absence of that miraculous scent, there would be to pay. I knew this was the universe's way of pushing me to finally see the inside of the Peet's on Locust, so I hopped in my G-ride and took off. (There was no way in fresh hell I would walk through the cold at 7-something A.M. in heels. If I had that kind of prowess and patience I would've been a hooker.) The inside of Peet's was cozy, comfortable and easy to maneuver. The delicious and unmistakable smell of roasted beans greeted me as soon as I made my way through the door, as did smiling counterfolk wheelin' and dealin' behind the two cash registers designed to get custies in and out quickly. A friendly and knowledgeable gent named Adam (sheesh, I hope? I really, really think that was his name) helped me order a pound of ground beans (House Blend... Keepin' it classic) and offered me a complimentary cup of coffee. Of course I took it and what's more, I shamelessly took it to heart like a damn marriage proposal: "Are you serious? Are you ferreal right now? Really? For me? Forever?!" (And also: "Can I have it iced?") My boss claims she's down to retrieve the java-rama because she wants to get her steps in, but she made sure not to mention the complimentary coffee and quaint surroundings PCT offers. I may just have to become the designated buyer from here on out. read more

Peets coffee is always one step above Starbucks. I usually like to go for the lighter roast, but they don't always have that. The major Dickinson blend is always good although sometimes too dark for my taste. This location is rather large and has a lot of indoor seating and would be a good place to study. Centrally located in downtown Walnut Creek, this would be a nice stop while strolling around and doing some shopping. read more
