    "All Gender"....so "pc" it's racist!
    Tony R.

I came to Peet's after a long drive, and so I had to use the bathroom. I know Peet's is trying to be "PC" but this is SHOCKING! They actually had a sign outside both of their bathrooms that said "All-Gender Restroom" as if to imply how proud they are that they let Men & Women from different races use the same bathroom! This is 2019 California.......OF COURSE WE LET MEN AND WOMEN FROM DIFFERENT RACES USE THE BATHROOM! There would be something very backwards if we didn't! All this does is remind people that there are different races, and there was once discrimination. Like I said Peet's Coffee, I know you want to come across as a "forward thinking, politically correct" Company....but this sign is over the top and redundant, and some may even think that the fact it is there is VERY racist from you!

I honestly come here just out of convenience because of location. It seems like a new batch of cashiers and baristas have come through. That's great and all, but the new cashiers are so darn grumpy! Good lord. People skills need to be worked on, or maybe Peet's can find people who appreciate and like their job. Small location, outdoor seating is nice if you can grab a table. Better maintenance of the bathroom would be appreciated. Thanks!

My girlfriend and I went for a little stroll to the local Peet's since the weather was amazing and we needed to get out of the house in the fairly late morning. It's nice having the mall nearby so we can walk or jog over whenever we feel like it. I ordered the refreshing peppermint mocha frappe which I was promised would taste like a frozen thin mint. Tipping the scales at about $5, it was no cheap treat to be sure. It sort of reminded me of said thin mint but not quite, and could have used quite a bit more mintyness for my taste. The service was really good however, and the dog-friendly outdoor seating really made the experience. It's in the nice, newer side of the mall so there's plenty of parking to be had. Definitely a great place to go on a Saturday morning, and I may even find myself returning in the morning. Food: 7/10 Service: 7/10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 8/10

They take to go orders before in store orders. So if you're 3rd in-line in the store you're more likely 13th in-line.

This spot popped up pretty high, and funnily enough, my boyfriend--who doesn't live locally--had actually heard of it from a previous visit, so we decided to go for it. Right off the bat: huge win on logistics. There's a nearby parking garage with ample space, and parking is free on Sundays and holidays, which already put us in a good mood. The place was packed when we went (Sunday), but in the best way. It's honestly adorable--there's a small playground, multiple seating areas, and everything feels very thoughtfully put together. I don't usually gush over ambiance, but the furniture, layout, and overall warmth of the space really stood out. Cozy without being cramped, lively without being chaotic. There were three people working, one of them quite young, and while we didn't order food, I did get a matcha--and wow. It took a while to come out, but when I saw how they were preparing it, it all made sense. Unlike most high-volume spots that rush matcha, they actually take their time with the full process. The result? Easily top 10 matchas I've ever had. Fresh, clean, energizing in a way that felt genuinely good for my body--not jittery, just right. They do have pastries and a couple of food options, though the savory options didn't really tempt me personally. That said, I'd 100% come back just for the drinks and the space alone. There's just enough white noise to sit and work comfortably, and the ambiance makes you want to stay awhile. This is officially going into my coffee + work rotation.

There's street parking, but we parked across the street in the lot by the music shop (it's closed on weekends, which makes it even easier). Zero stress before carbs -- we love to see it. It has that super local, neighborhood energy where everyone clearly knows exactly what they're ordering before they even walk in. Always a good sign. The bread basket? Unreal. The soup was divine -- comforting, flavorful, and exactly what you want on a cozy day. And the bread somehow manages to feel indulgent and wholesome at the same time. Warm, hearty, and clearly made with care. The space itself is just as inviting -- warm, relaxed, and effortlessly charming. And the pastries... they looked dangerous in the best way. I didn't even get one this time, which honestly just means I'm definitely coming back for round two. Already planning my next visit.

My "Soft Scramble" was a pile of astonishment. It was so unrefined that it was an insult the the ingredients. There was nothing soft about the eggs, they were overcooked. The only thing soft on the plate was the watery run-off from the vegetables they heaped into the eggs: Too many chewy mushrooms and HUGE. Too many cherry tomatoes. I had to dig to find the eggs. The leeks were strips of inedible ribbon. The toast? I think it had been toasted yesterday and left on the top of their oven overnight and then reused today. I had to get up from the table and ask for butter to make it edible and still I worried whether I was going to break a crown. The pickled vegetables? Again, HUGE, hard and barely pickled. I will refrain from criticizing the service because they are all unaware of the nightmare in which they are working. Bless their hearts. I was so sad and annoyed. People think they can buy a restaurant with recipes and wholesale accounts and staff and just run it, "business as usual" but they are wrong. I went in and asked if they had sold the restaurant and was told, "yes." I imagine some tech-bro's wife or some hedgefund community doodler wanted a pet project with zero idea about food or food quality or how to treat and retain employees because what happened to MHBB is astonishing. It's rude and insulting to anyone who opened this restaurant and put in their best to keep the name and claim to be catering to the same people. But then again, this is par for the course or, from my vantage point, everything wrong with what's happened in Marin in a nutshell. Faux authenticity. Zero care. This is now all about the money. I will never bother with it again.

I initially tried to place an online order through their website but they weren't taking online orders at the time so I ended up walking in to order. Located in between several industrial companies, it can be easy to miss if you're not looking. Plenty of street parking along the front or just across the street. The shop is segemented into 3 connected sections; the main room where orders are taken, crafted, and served along with bags of coffee beans. The connected room had shirts, sweatshirts, and a fridge with grab n go items. The back room, had a few vintage pinball machines along with some tables and chairs. The SO is totally in love with the roast turkey and stuffing hash. Given the opportunity, I think he'd eat it every day. (He did have it both days this past weekend.) I was a bit disappointed in the buttermilk-cornmeal griddle cake that came with my Farmers Breakfast. The taste was fine but it was tough. Chewy is just not an adjective I ever want to apply to a pancake. However, they more than redeemed themselves with the BAT Scramble. I'll need to try a few more items on the menu, but that could easily be my "go to" breakfast. Portions were generous. I took my scone home since the scramble and potatoes were more than enough. The SO had great things to say about their chai. The space is bright and airy, and tables are not so close together as to feel like you're part of your neighbor's conversations. If there is any problem with this restaurant it is with the service. As far as we could tell, there was only one server working the entire space - both indoors and out. Although she was very personable and was doing a more than admirable job considering, it was just too much for one person. (Management, take note! She's great, but could do with some assistance.)
