Almost as much as my medium drip coffee and pastry... Morning Bun - Shared with my daughter. It was good and not too sweet. Atmosphere - Decent size location. Plenty of Indoor and outdoor seating. Two unisex bathrooms, one twice as large as the other. You also need a code to get in. Open 7 days a week from 5am or 5:30am to 7:30pm. Limited street or mall parking. Too many businesses and not enough parking spaces. But not an issue for us today, as we got here early. Service - Good. Price - $15, average price for what we got. This shop gets BUSY! So i suggest you do mobile order but sometimes the order isn't always ready when the time suggests. The ambience is okay. It louder than most peets (In the morning at least) i go to but i think thats not something that should deter you from coming here and doing work but i don't know about studying though. Kudos to Sara. I had such a pleasant experience. 1st of all, she gave me a cheerful greeting as I made my way to the counter. She had good energy, which is a rarity these days. Although I think Peet's is leaps and bounds better than Starbucks, I'm always gifted with Starbucks gift cards so I don't visit Peet's too often. With that being said, I'm still working my way through the menu. This time I wanted to try tea. This review is mainly for the Matcha Frappe's. They cannot get them right! I think Peet's has switched the formula but whoever makes these drinks in this particular location, no go - it's like drinking flavorless oat sugar water. I order online so I can't return them - I've spoken to the manager along with corporate as these beverages are expensive - they say they'll speak to staff to learn how to make them, to no avail. And since I've complained too many times they will no longer refund me. I've given them every chance to get it right and they can't! So, I'm done. Ridiculous. Today, when my order arrived, I was disgustingly, surprised to find a bug at the bottom of my Tropical Iced Green Tea. I reached out to the store and told Dominique, the rude woman who I assume is a manager of some sort, about what happened, and to say that she lacked empathy for a customer's negative experience wouldn't even begin to describe the experience. As the conversation tensed, she immediately removed accountability from herself saying, "I didn't make the drink," and proceeded to tell me, "Ma'am, I don't need you to tell me what . . ." after I tried to suggest that her team needed training on cleanliness and attentiveness. Customer service has gone to hell. There was no empathy, no accountability, no genuine apology, and no appeasement for sending me a gnat/fly bathing in my tea. Needless to say, I'll NEVER frequent this location again because not only is the store dirty, the manager is not open to retraining her team. I called the District Manager, Lisa. No answer. Then she called me back and hung up immediately. Since I can't talk to someone with sense, maybe CDPH will convince them that they need to retrain their team. read more

Coffee's & Frappe's never disappoint bc it isn't watered down or extremely loaded with syrups or creams. Today's Caramel Frappe was stellar, you could taste the coffee brew & caramel drizzle, a match made in Heaven. In addition to the Frappe, I ordered the Holiday Spice Coffee before this holiday drink disappears. The ginger, cloves, nutmeg had me mesmerized bc it was so fragrant. The espresso adds that extra dose of caffeine that I always need late in the afternoon, so I was definitely a satisfied customer. As far as being attentive & patient, the cashier had these 2 qualities. I wouldn't hesitate to bring friends to this location. read more

Can we please stop with the paper straws? I was able to drink my coffee for 5 mins before the draw ripped in half. If you really want to save on plastic, put my iced coffee in a paper cup. . . Using a plastic cup with a paper straw doesn't do any good when I only get 5 mins to chug my coffee before the straw is completely unusable. Or switch to a different straw manufacturer, I have seen straws made from bamboo, there are eco-friendly plastic straws. There are also lids to plastic cups that allow you to sip the coffee without a straw. I want to add that the staff here is all great, everyone is on top of their game. On a low-rush, I could ponder and ask the cashier for their creative recommendations. Especially, when the Peet's app tells me that I unlocked a free beverage. It's so good to try a new customized drink that I could never dream of. Some of the creative drinks have become my seasonal favorite. They told me like however many pumps of this and that. I have no clue, but it's in my app history. My summer favorite at this site is a medium mocha, double blended, please! The barista never undercut the mocha syrup, so it's always tasty to the last drop. Also, my world got better ever since I discovered "double blended". I was chilling all by my lonesome on a Wednesday afternoon with a craving for coffee and matcha, and decided to pull up Peet's on DoorDash. This establishment isn't for the faint of heart, but I was feeling extra brave because it's Halloween season. Little did I know that my expectations were gonna be assassinated. My drinks didn't come with any tape or anything to cover the lids, but I guess covid isn't real to some people. I ordered three drinks, but let's focus on the two they destroyed along with my hopes and dreams. First drink was a large blended iced matcha with EXTRA matcha, and as you can see below - despite it being a large cup - the percentage of liquid in there is probably only one Virgil of a large cup. I think if I ordered with regular matcha, the percentage might've only been half a Virgil. Shout out to the barista that made this one, because I can't even be mad at how badly they let me down here. Literally there's no way you can look at that cup and say "alright, that looks full to me!" But thank you, take my $6.15. Second drink was a blended iced chocolate & caramel swirl, which if you're still reading this, can only assume was made by the same barista. Don't let the whipped cream and chocolate syrup fool you, the liquid in there is only half of a large. Consistency is everything, so shout out to the barista that made the first drink. I'm proud of you for pitching a back to back. Shout out Virgil Abloh for influencing this generation's baristas. -$5.80 In closing, Pusha T said "Death multiplies by threes," and this is no exception. Shout out to DoorDash for only crediting me $3.13 to wipe my tears with. Nice to know that this Peet's is in the Halloween spirit, so thank you for tricking me into wasting $11.95. This location has the unfortunate distinction of being the rare Peet's coffee that makes weak coffee. It pains me to say this because I am very much a fan of Peet's and this is the local shop. If only they made their drip coffee stronger, it would be a solid five stars. It's right in downtown San Leandro, the heart of this beautiful city. Most of the employees are kind and pleasant, the scene is vibrant and everything about it is right, except for that they only use half of the grounds they should for the drip coffee. I'm hoping this review finds management and they take the step of brewing their drip coffee to the standard strength of all other Peet's. Oh, and also they will often leave like 2 inches of empty space in the cups. I don't know if it's because rent is super high for the location or what but come on folks... Located in a small shopping plaza with CVS, Habit Burger, the AT&T store. Not a huge coffee drinker but I have tried a couple of their items due to recommendations by family/friends. On my most current visit, I got a Light Caramel & Chocolate Javiva with soy milk. It was too sweet for me. Anyway, I really like their Chipotle Chicken Flatbread! Their Black Tie is good too (chicory syrup, cold brew coffee, condensed milk). Well the drinks always come out without lids so you can customize it to your liking (they offer cinnamon, honey... etc.). Also a fan of their Green Tea Tropical Iced Tea Fog. Heard their oatmeal is really good too; haven't got a chance to try it. Sometimes there are homeless people asking for money or yelling which isn't that pleasant but friendly staff, good service and food/drinks. read more

Just ordered the Baridi blend cold brew and boy was it a disappointment. It was really watered down. You can see right through it. These used to be delicious when they were offered in a bottle. I highly doubt that." - Exchange I overheard between a barista and disgruntled, probably high patron outside a Peet's in San Francisco It's a mainstay in the Bay. It's replaced all the Starbuckses at Oakland International. It's Peet's, and no matter where you stand on the Peet's vs. Starbucks debate, I think we can all agree that they make some excellent coffee. I've been to this downtown San Leandro location countless times, and it's nice to see that things haven't changed: plenty of people working, reading, and socializing over cups of Justice and an assortment of baked goodies. I myself just wanted a cup of decaf-- something hot for the belly on this rainy day. The gentleman behind the counter got my medium cup prepared from a dispenser; turns out their decaf is made in advance in anticipation of customers such as myself! Take note, other places (aka Starbucks and their decaf pour-overs or americano substitutes!) There are ~5 corners that make up the seating areas, ergo, plenty of space to relax or have a private chat with friends.
