If the seating is too full on the inside, the outside venue is quite nice and almost always available. The parking lot is usually clear but most tend to park in the Chipotle parking lot next door. Horrible. Would much rather have Starbucks. Drinks taste plain and not very much flavor. Live down the street so decided to try out, had it 3 times and didn't like any of the coffees. Customer service was not friendly or knowable. I asked for a coffee similar to Starbucks Carmel macchiato. It did taste good so went and asked questions before ordering and the representative didn't have a clue. read more

I have been coming to this place on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for the past 6 Months. At least once a week, my order is incorrect, or forgotten. Last weekend, they forgot my muffin. Two weeks ago, my order was incorrect. Three weeks ago, one of my drinks was forgotten. Staff is nice, and tries, but it seems like there is not a solid system in place to provide service. There are very long lines on weekends. Moving forward I am going to go to Starbucks in the Village for my morning beverages. Maybe in a few Months I will give this place another shot. read more

Look, I tried. I had to set up someplace for a couple of hours in Redondo before heading to Ortega 120 for happy hour and I really, really tried hard to hang out at one of those quirky independent coffee shops that I usually frequent and yelp about. But the one I approached had closed for business and I didn't have time to wander the streets in search of wobbly wrought iron chairs and unfriendly baristas. So I broke down and went inside Peet's, one of the biggest coffee shop chains I can think of. And you know what? I had one of the most pleasant coffee and work experiences I've had in a long time. The place was about half full on a Monday afternoon, so I didn't have to stalk anyone for a seat. I was seated right by an outlet so I was all juiced up and ready to go. And the nice lady behind the counter gladly printed out a little slip of paper with a free wifi code that was good for an hour while type-typing away and sipping on my perfectly prepared vanilla latte. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and really seemed to take pride in their coffee, especially when people asked them questions about their beans and machines. I also witnessed a guy mopping the floor and the bathroom was spotless... to be honest, I can't remember the last time I saw those two things at one of my favorite indie coffee huts. So while I find it impossible to give five stars to a place that has hundreds of clones of itself out there, I do believe this is the highest rating that i can give to Peet's. Bravo! read more

I really like peets coffee, and I think the drinks here are better than both Starbucks and coffee bean. However that's just my opinion, although I think If you try it for yourself you will agree. This location is nice and located in the rolling hills plaza near trader Joe's and l'amande. Its nice to study here, and if I want a snack I just go to trader Joe's and get some snacks. Last time I got pickle popcorn, salami, and those butter waffle things that are delicious. My friends judged me but it's all good, as I enjoyed my delicious snacks. Anyway, on to the actual Pete's coffee. The coffee here and drinks here are pretty good, and I like the atmosphere. The workers are chill and nice too. The atmosphere is just great, and I like the classical music they play, as it is great for studying. My only issue here is the wifi can be really slow and unreliable, which is a deal breaker for a lot of people. However, I find it to be a blessing in disguise, as I get less distracted since Facebook and Reddit or what not is loading slowly, so I just end up doing my work and studying for my mcat. Overall 4.5 stars in terms of chain coffee places, this one is one of my favorites. read more

I mean, come on, it's a Peet's ! what more do I need to say? Well, I'll go on...since its walkable from my place I don't know much about the parking situation the tables out front are great for people and crazy Cali driver watching, so bring a book and make it look like you're reading as you check out the folks strolling through and zipping past the place the coffee is just perfect, super strong and the way I like it. Why not 5 stars? well, lets just say that consistency of cleanliness is not their strength. read more

The employees have always been capable and very nice. It's almost like the corporate office just doesn't come by and give them the support they need. WAY better than starbucks but a little hard to get in and out of.

Customer service is great, however, coffee is sometimes off, depending on who makes them. Many times, I've asked them to use one and a half pumps of whatever latte flavoring they use, because I don't like over the top sweet drinks. About half of the time, they seem to forget it, since it's not written on the cups like they do at Starbucks and the drinks are VERY sweet, to the point that I can't drink it. My biggest complaint is the seating. I really wish they can add more indoor seating. I know it's not a big location, but whenever I go, which isn't the peak time, there's hardly anywhere to sit. When it's 90F outside and I just want a nice, cool place to chill for 15-20 min, I would go to a coffee shop. This location, however, has failed me many times that I just need to remember not to go anymore. read more

What a joke. Didn't Peet's used to be synonymous with giving a crap about good coffee and service? Now you walk in, the staff barely notice you're there, they make a thrown together not-so-great drink and ignore you again when you ask for something else because they're to busy chatting up their friends at the bar. This has happened to me repeatedly over the past year or so at various locations including this one. They are much worse than Starbucks now in terms of service, and that's actually somehow impressive because Starbucks should be on the lower end of good service considering how large they are. Best coffee for the most wide range of coffee drinkers. Whatever coffee drink you order, a customer should always taste the coffee and Peet's makes sure you taste their coffee. I wish there was a Peet's Coffee and Tea closer to the North Torrance area. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is due to their lack of consistency in their service. Parking is a little awkward and I was tryin to find a place to work with my computer. It is on the street so it is noisy outside. The table arrangement is door is not very friendly so I can not find a place for two unless I want to sit in a place that's too dark to read ( 10 am on a sunny day). Decided to go to this coffee place instead of Coffee Bean to try it out. It was 8:32Pm. I have never been here before do I was excited to experience it. I walked in and was immediately thrown out by the girl working there telling me they were closed. I was shocked at her tone and told her she should have been a little nicer. The door should have been locked if business hours were over. First experience not so good and it took me 4 years to finally go. I will attempt again at a later date, not sure if it will be another 4 years? Hopefully next time I will get to taste the coffee. read more
