Java Wave is right on the corner, next door to Lunada Kitchen, on the right. I used to come to this same exact location when it was St. Honore. Even though they didn't replace the awning, it's an entirely different vibe. The food and drink taste much better than the previous restaurant. Even before you step inside, the food and drink menu are posted on the window. That's why I noticed they open at 7AM and offer breakfast items. It's a very casual atmosphere. They sell freshly baked goods and have a tiny display of individual sized packages of potato chips. You pay and take your drink order at the register. Food is delivered to your table. I ordered an oat milk latte and avocado toast. The avocado toast was freshly made. Outside of the unripened avocados, it tasted pretty good. The bread was toasted. There's plenty of seating outdoors, mostly tables and chairs that seat four. There are also a couple outdoor couches that seat 2-3 comfortably. There are umbrellas to shade from the sun. Staff are friendly. First come, first served. Parking: Plenty of free, shared parking.

The good: This cute corner cafe is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. I came here and got a red eye, pink Panther smoothie, and a Matcha cranberry scone. I believe the pastries are from sweet wheat and a bakery in Lomita. The iced coffee was refreshing on a hot day and the pink Panther smoothie was very yummy without being too sweet (had white chocolate inside). My toddler enjoyed it too. There were a number of fun signature smoothie options. There are a lot of seating options outside the small café and umbrellas for shade. There was plenty of parking. They also sell sandwiches and other pastries. The cafe was very nice and cool inside and was a great retreat from the heat today. The cashier was super friendly and sweet. The scone was balanced with saltiness and sweetness and was very tasty. The bad: I want to try their cold brew, but they were out at the time that I came. I will have to come back and try it next time! There is also no seating inside. The interesting: They had lots of dog snacks for doggie customers.

They replaced st. Honore as the corner coffee shop. Went there only for coffee and a scone so I can't comment on the food (sandwiches) Mocha on ice and a scone. Very nice. As always with lunada , cool vibe but be warned - depending on time you might have the local high schoolers milling about as fellow patrons. They're fine, but it does get crowded

We stopped here randomly on our way to the beach, and I'm so glad we did! I ordered an iced hazelnut with macadamia nut milk and asked for it a little sweeter -- omg, it was so good! Honestly, probably the best iced coffee I've had in a really long time. We also got a strawberry matcha that he really enjoyed. Diane was so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in the area again!

I think it should be an iced latte

Great baguette, ice coffee licking any ice. Idk. But of a bummer experience. This is why I don't like tipping before I receive my items.

Good coffee and friendly staff! Cute little shop that's a great rest stop during a long walk.

One thing I appreciated was that while they use technology to help streamline the ordering process, it never took away from the experience. Drinks- great ambience- modern and sleek (with a robotic arm to help with some drinks) service- very attentive and helpful parking- ample spaces in a strip mall location- off PCH, easy to find Lastly, dog friendly, with dog biscuits at the counter. What more could you ask for? Definitely one of my go-to places. Great way to spend a morning, sitting in the courtyard with the sound of water in the background, enjoying a great cup of coffee with my doggy. Can't complain!

If I hadn't asked for an update, I likely would have continued waiting without knowing. When I asked the barista in the grey shirt, in the coffee side, for an update, he gave me a snappy response. Customer service is clearly not his strength. The lack of communication and customer service was very disappointing. On top of that, once my order was finally ready, another customer ended up taking the bagel I ordered. The entire process felt extremely unorganized, and it's clear they have a terrible system for managing orders and communicating with customers. The only positive part of my experience was the girl behind the counter, who was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, one kind employee couldn't make up for the overall poor service and disorganization. I won't be coming back. The food itself was flavorless and lacking. Avoid if you are looking to have a calm morning. Your cortisol will be spiked.

I had a cup of house brewed coffee and the drink wasn't quite on the same level as other third-wave coffee shops in the South Bay. They sell coffee beans from Danesi Caffe. *** Breakfast panini (Scrambled egg, fontina cheese, tomato a avocado - $10.95): A healthy-tasting sandwich, but it probably needed more sauce to add flavor. Bread was good. Rustico (RUSTICO: 24-month aged prosciutto di Parma smoked scamorza cheese, arugula, & white truffle extra virgin olive oil - $11.95): A solid sandwich, but it definitely lacked the "it" factor. *** A solid local cafe for anyone looking for a healthy Italian panini.

I tried their tot cream latte & their "feels like home", both iced. If you order for enjoying in shop, they give you a cute cup with a saucer & spoon. They don't put that much ice which I appreciate. The coffee is still cold! The tot cream latte is on the sweeter side, but it is extremely good. I like the flavor of the coffee, although the sweetness kind of takes away from the coffee shining through. It's good for people that like coffee but not the acidic taste from it. The feels like home is strong. That bean? Phew. Got muscles, it's strong. Very subtle sweetness. Beautiful bean flavor. Cream top is yummy. I would def order again. I appreciate them not having burnt or acidic/sour tasting espresso. That's been a common trend in coffee shops as of late D: Ambiance is nice, it's small inside & no AC so they have a fan with the door cracked open wide but still gets stuffy inside. I believe they do have WiFi don't quote me, you'll have to fact check that one. But there were people there on their laptops so I wanna assume yes.. Service was quick and standard amongst the baristas. Parking in the plaza is small otherwise there is an underground garage. There was a notice of filming or photography sign I didn't bother reading and forgot to take a picture of but it's on the glass when you go up to order.
