"Too expensive for a takoyaki you can make at home." Is what I like to call this shop. To begin, I want to aknowledge the man working the entire place. He helped the customers with an enthusiastic spark, while preparing the food and working at the cashier counter--which takes a lot of effort to do. He is a hard worker, and I hope he gets paid well. I would also encourage for the staff, first and foremost--improve quality of the food. As mentioned on the top of this review, the takoyaki I ordered didn't have any striking qualities. But of course, I am not a professional takoyaki critic. Hence, I am only explaining the taste with my own personal experiance of tasting takoyaki. The takoyaki has a sweet tangy sauce, the exterior was very soft, and the squid was quite small, not fulfilling. Tried the mango smoothie, it was mushy and not as cold. Unfortunately, that wasn't of my interest either. If you are into pineapples juice with seeds and mushy texture like a slushie, you may like it better than me. My second critique is that the food took a long time to be made. Though I can respect minor inconveniences, I also hope that the cafe takes the idea of fixing this issue. Though I will admit, the cafe is decorated quite well. What I love is the vibe of the atmosphere, which is a mix of art deco and a soft pastel boba shop--which is a unique style compared to other boba shops I've seen. I LOVE the geometrical patterns and decorations and the overall concept. Feels so cozy inside, with plushies on the seats and the fun chairs and tables. My uncle made a joke about wanting to buy that long skinny table for his home. They just opened up, and I like it! Very easy to place your order. They have two POS systems on the right-hand side wall. Drinks are listed by category. They don't just sell tea. There are other juice drink options, such as mango and watermelon. I ordered a milk tea with boba. There are options for sweetness and amount of ice. There was only one employee that I could see. He was professional and efficient. Because there weren't any other customers, my drink took less than five minutes. It's a small space, but there's bench seating on both sides, and a couple tall tables in the center of the space. There's also plenty of outdoor seating. Your drink is served in a substantial plastic cup with a lid that you poke your straw through. My drink was delicious. The boba was soft and chewy. A super cute small boba cafe with WiFi and outlets, but it's more of a grab and go cafe as inside there are only 2 tables of 4, 2 tables of 2, and a bench that could seat 3-4 people. Got the Nara Mango Sago $8.49: It was featured on their signature menu and comes with lactose free dairy, but there was too much dairy for my tastes. 5/10 for me but maybe it's because I'm comparing it to the traditional Cantonese Mango sago dessert, which may not be fair. Happy to see this cute newer boba spot in a mall that desperately needs some new businesses, other than medical offices, to stay in business. There were a few people in line so we wanted to give it a go, but unfortunately we gave up. Don't know if this was unusual or they're still working out the bugs, but only one young man was working. If you want some boba, and you're in the Promenade PV, this may be your place to go. What they offer here is a nice selection of boba orientated offerings, teas, fruit drinks, another interesting drinks. The way this place works is that you order on one of the screens over to the right side of the business. Some people, however, don't quite get that, so you can order at the counter if that's what you need to do. Then, once you placed your order, you wait for a little while, as the behind the counter person makes it, and then you pick it up. Easy as that. Overall, this place is pretty good. The one thing I will say is that they seem to have a very limited staff. Meaning, a lot of times it's just one person working behind the counter. Thus, you may have to wait a while to get your order if there's a few few people in line in front of you. In terms of seating, they have a few padded seats on the interior of the establishment. Plus, they have a couple bench style seating situations with tables in front of them. You can, of course, grab one of the exterior tables that are located throughout the shopping plaza, if you want to sit and enjoy your drink outside. Overall, this is a good addition to the Promenade PV. A nice place to get an interesting drink. read more

The good: I'm very excited that this is a new addition to this shopping plaza. I've seen their sign up for months now and have long awaited their opening! The interior is modern and trendy and they have 2 self-ordering tablets to use. They have standing tables inside, benches and 2 lounge areas around two coffee tables.I tried a pineapple foam drink at 30% sweetness. The sweetness level was perfect. They played popular pop songs inside (ex: APT by Rose). They had non-caffeinated options as well. I am looking forward to trying more menu options. The bad: There was no boba when I came (not a big deal because I don't order boba anyway but it was noon so you'd think they wouldn't run out or at least have it ready by that time). They had mango jelly or grass jelly as topping options though. The drink was close to $9 without toppings. I think this was the biggest con for me. I think the foam on top drinks would've been more enjoyable to sip through a sippy cup rather than with a sealed lid and straw. With this type of cup, you either have to pull your straw in and out to drink the two components or blend them entirely. A sippy cup would've allowed you to naturally get sips of both without mixing them entirely. There was a lot of ice so a lot of the foam was stuck on the ice or the walls of the cup. The interesting: Nara's a city in Japan so I'm thinking this is a Japanese boba shop since they also have a variety of matcha drinks. I am a Taiwanese so I'm always excited for new boba place. My sister bought me a cup of brown sugar milk which was good. Then I went the next day, ordered the boba milk tea. No sugar, and tasted very hard to describe. I told the staff and ask if it's ok to exchange. His attitude is very bad by telling me and tasting in front of me, it is the right taste and no exchange. Cute, trendy and friendly service at the mall! I got to attend soft opening on 4/14/25. The staff couldn't say when grand opening is. They had warm boba around 2PM, no issues. I had the brown sugar, made me think of honey boba(Lomita). 30% sugar was still pretty sweet to me, felt like 50% level sweet. My friend enjoyed the matcha and "favorite" blueberry flavor. We have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this cute new Boba shop in the (mostly dead) Promenade Mall. They just had their soft opening this weekend, and it appears some other fun new stores and shops are opening soon as well!
