I came for my first dance class and discovered the cutest café on the first floor! I got a matcha latte and cookie so good!! and the owner is super friendly, and it's the perfect café to visit after dance class! Highly recommend this café!

We talk about hidden gems here in the South Bay, but did you know there is a cafe, tea, mini bakery & sandwich shop hidden inside epicenterartsentertainment dance studio in Torrrance, Ca? Dropping off my son for his hip hop session I was pleasantly surprised to discover this charming yet modern spot. inbetweencafebar makes most of their items from scratch from their sandwiches, cookies, teas, coffees and smoothies. Definitely a unique, intimate, cozy spot. Here's what we got... - Chicken pesto sandwich - grilled chicken breast, sun dried tomatoes , mozzarella, spinach, homemade pesto spread with crushed pine nuts, garlic, basil possibly olive oil all pressed in panini bread. Considering it being handmade, homemade and high quality I'm surprised this more popular. This definitely competes against some "high end" stores that recently opened in the South Bay. - Cloudy Blueberry Latte - this drink was a nice change from coffee considering it was later in the evening. This was a non-coffee drink I chose to accompany the cookies I was going to have later. And even here the blueberry compote to make this drink used real blueberries. As I order more I start to realize there is plenty of thought put into these items. Make sure to stir the compote into the milk. It's a great balance. Cookies below were soft and consistent. Not too sweet and had a nice buttery finish. - Ube white chocolate cookie- self explanatory and good! - Red Velvet Cookie- tasted like cocoa and also not too sweet. - Salted toffee Cookie- the toffee and salt was a great combo and almost gave a shortbread flavor

Great Coffee with awesome service inside a Dance Studio. You need to come inside the studio to find this hidden gem. Coffee was great and the cookies are must.

This cafe is located inside Epic Dance Studio, which makes it a hidden gem! The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. I tried the matcha drink and cookies both were absolutely delicious and freshly made.

Loved the matcha latte (not too sweet which js way I like) Friendly owner Pretty interior

Coolest little hidden gem in Torrance with the chillest ambiance. True matcha powder used in their matcha lattes just like the ones I had in Tokyo. The cookies are amazing and the service was excellent as well.

There's no better place in the South Bay to get a HOME RUN Coffee or Matcha experience, complete with a super chill atmosphere and pastries that are out of this world. The owner is the coolest guy on the planet, and he's there all the time, making every single one of his customers feel like family. The thing that keeps me and my wife coming back (besides the unbeatable drink taste and quality) is the warm authentic service. This is key. Every other coffee spot is staffed with people who do not care, put zero effort into the experience, and look like they hate their jobs. But at Chrome? Everybody is stoked to help you have a great experience, whether you're chilling there doing work on your laptop, or stopping by to grab a drink to go. It's love all around, which speaks volumes about the business. Recommended drinks for first timers: Chrome Matcha or the Banana Cream Latte. Unbeatable taste, you won't find anything like it anywhere else in the South Bay. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, you won't find any other place like it.

A lot of places either make flavored drinks way too sweet or you can barely taste the flavor, but this one was balanced perfectly. Super smooth and easy to drink. The shop itself had a really good vibe too clean, welcoming, and just a nice spot to hang out for a bit. Staff was friendly and the drink came out quick. Definitely one of the better coffee spots I've tried in the area. Would absolutely come back and try more off the menu. Highly recommend this place if you're into specialty coffee or just want a really solid latte.

You can tell they put a lot of effort into their food and drinks. As for the ambiance, it's perfect for those who want to hang out and catch up with friends/family or to study. When I visited, there were easily 5 other groups and individuals studying here. I have a big soft spot for banana flavored items. A BIG SOFT SPOT. Banana Cream Pie Latte - this one carries the biggest punch for banana lovers. Banana cream the entire way from start to finish. Not too sweet. Awesome foam top too. I highly recommend drinking these without the straw. Foam top drinks are best appreciated when you get a nice 50:50 ratio of the foam and drink. Banana Matcha Latte - the name speaks for itself. It's a nice mixture of both. So if you're looking to feel a little healthier with the matcha element, then go for it. This was probably the prettiest drink of the 3 that we had. Americano - delicious and got the job done here. I naturally enjoy Ethiopian and Colombian beans. I brew them often at home. I was definitely wide awake after these drinks lol Strawberrynana Waffle - If you LOVE belgian-style waffles like me, then you'll find yourself ordering this again and again. It wasn't too sweet but sweet enough to easily go through 2 or 3 of these plates if you're crazy enough. Banana Walnut Honey Bread - the best for last! I really loved eating brick toast growing up. There were so many stores back in the day that sold them, and now I can't find them as easily. In fact, Caffe Bene is the only place in the South Bay that I know that sells them. This one brought me back to the past and put a gigantic smile on my face. Delicious, perfectly sweet, balanced, and finished wanting more. Highly recommend!

While killing time…read morebefore our table at Momo Paradise, we wandered into this charming little shop devoted almost entirely to chestnuts. One thing was immediately clear: everyone was ordering the snowstorm. Most people seemed to go with either the matcha or the original, though they also had other flavors like sesame. Naturally we followed the crowd and ordered the matcha. It's matcha soft serve topped with chestnuts, and it turned out to be a great little pre-dinner snack -- creamy, earthy, and not overly sweet. What surprised me most was that they carry different types of chestnuts. I preferred the smaller ones, which were softer, more moist, and sweeter. The larger ones were firmer, but you can buy them already peeled, which honestly feels like a luxury if you've ever battled chestnut shells before. It's a quirky specialty shop, but a fun one to browse. And judging by the number of snowstorms coming out of the kitchen, that's clearly the move here.

Hisaya Kyoto specializes in all things chestnuts, including soft serve chestnuts, and chestnut baked goodies. I came on a hot day and got their vanilla and chestnut soft serve on a cone. I also got one of their chestnut cakes. The ice cream was very creamy and definitely a good treat after my lunch. The small cake was not too sweet and light. It had some sweetened chestnuts inside which was really nice. It came out hot and went well with the ice cream. They also have cookies, donuts, and a variety of ice creams as well. They also have drinks like their chestnut milk too. For soft serve they have their fuji soft serves which comes with toppings. I want to come back to try their other items. The people behind the counter wasn't the friendliest and out items took awhile. The inside is small and casual and not really anywhere to sit. But they do have seating outside. There is plenty of parking since it is on a strip mall.

Today was mother's day and the Enclave was busy with a lot of people. They were busy too but the time I came, the line was not to the outside window as usual and stayed indoors so it was a steady type of busy. I ordered my island matcha and sat to wait with my dog, until I just noticed the people behind me just getting their drinks first, then another, then another.. A family came in and got greeted, that was cute, probably regulars, their orders were taken and promptly made. Nice. But then the next ones also were getting made--huh? Where's mine? I thought they might have had some online orders? I was still sitting patiently in front of the pick up counter because I didn't want to bother the obviously busy lady that's super locked in. I worked in food before too, so sometimes I get that some tickets go in front of others and the steady locked in flow of the line was really cool to observe but this was a little bit too weird since--oh another one got his drink right after ordering. My husband finally regrouped with me inside because we also had ordered from the Fish grill, the order was done from fish grill, but I was still there wondering what happened to my drink from Nook--maybe syrups needed to be refilled? Maybe steeping tea?? Idk but at this point I was getting sad since I just saw another walk away with their drinks after just ordering. I sigh, my husband asks me what's wrong. I show him my phone showing the receipt of when I ordered and he noticed it's been a while and he also saw another walk away who just ordered with a drink in hand already. So he goes up to ask them if the island matcha came out. A guy from the line sees the order number, goes to their ticket tablet and makes my matcha drink in less than 5 seconds (I mean it, they're super quick). My husband beckons me to grab my matcha and I come up silently to grab it and leave with another sigh. Drink tastes great. Though the just making the drink quickly and not acknowledging/apologizing that something went wrong was kind of sad since I already felt disregarded in the first place. As I walked away I heard that my ticket just somehow didn't show up but sigh. I wish someone checked on me if I was waiting on anything. I know it's on me too for not speaking up, but I trusted the process. I thought they didn't forget about me. I was wrong. I burnt my favorite mixing bowl today, we got turned away from my fav restaurant for lunch because they were full and we just happened to be the one behind the last queue that got accepted today. I made yucky bitter matcha today. Went here to make my day better but it added more fuel to the fire. :C Sigh. See you in a while Nook. Me sad. Happy Mother's day to all moms today though.

They advertise that the red bean is imported from Korea, and it really is better than most other places. When the taiyaki comes out piping hot with crispy exterior and chewy inside with red bean, it's sooo good. I like their custard filling too. Probably best taiyaki I've had anywhere in southern Cal. I had stopped coming here for a while and when we came back, we noticed that the menu expanded a bit, and now they have some fruit based bingsoo. Recommend trying once. Their rice cakes are good too, very chewy and fresh.
