While Tastea isn't my first choice for boba tea/slushies, it is certainly the nostalgic choice for me since I used to attend college set close to one. The menu has expanded a ton over the past few years, but the Peach Me Sweetea and Lychee Peachee with 75% sugar still satisfy my occasional sweet tooth. I love the medium spicy seasoning on their popcorn chicken and fries, but the price tag is a bit steep for the portion of these quick bites. Service has been efficient in my past couple of visits, but it seems like a small staff for one shift. So I can only hope the drive-thru customers are patient with them. Ambiance wise? Super small shop, not quite ideal for a long hangout spot. 1 table inside, 2 tables outside, 2 order kiosks, and a few seats on their side bar. My drink wasn't filled up enough to where I visibly noticed. NOTE: MY ORDER HAS ICE! I did not ask for light ice or no ice, so the amount of the drink should still be to the top or at least 20 oz as the menu states. I usually like this place. Like I go there every other week. Today though we ordered at about 9:57pm. About an hour before close. Drinks weren't filled up like they usually are. I didn't ask for light ice or anything either so the amount just seemed less. It isn't normal for this location, but maybe they had someone new or training idk. Typically I might've taken a look at the drink before leaving, but I've had consistently good service till now so I honestly didn't look till I got home. love their drinks, I always tend to go here when I'm craving a sweet drink and they have tons of options. The large size is always worth it. However never ever recommend getting their food. I don't know why I keep giving them chances buying their food because I paid $13 for a large popcorn chicken and basically paid for crumbs. The portions are so small and not worth paying overpriced unless you want to finish ur food in 3 bites. It's not even filled all the way. Ordered the unknown, lychee peachee, avocado avalanche for $8 each and peach blossom milk tea 20 ounce of $5.95. Uber Eats. Avocado avalanche always hits but for eight dollars and 20 ounces that's pretty expensive. The unknown, lychee and peach blossom we ordered no ice and they only came 3/4 of the way full. Honestly you're not saving money by giving me less drink, I find that ridiculous and disappointing. The peach drink in particular came halfway full, not even 3/4 of the way, see pics. Just for that it does not make me want to come back here. Tastetea is not losing money on me by filling the cup a few more inches, it barely costs them anything. I'm not drinking the drink right away and therefore I don't want ice which would end up melting and watering down the drink. This place is so conveniently located to me. I remember trying a thai tea from here many moons ago. I remember nothing about it. This time around I ended up ordering their house coffee with less sweetness. I'm unsure if it was a percentage or not. I really enjoyed the coffee. It had a robust, flavorful coffee flavor to it. It was not too sweet. I really enjoyed and loved the flavor of the coffee. I think it had the right amount of flavor and kick of sweetness to it. I was wired for the next like 6 hours i believe. and of course i decided to drink it around 10pm.... but its a great choice to have earlier in the day. The place is relatively small, and their drive-thru is actually horrendous. The number of times cars have half their car in the middle of the lane right there is insane. I think they should have designed it better so that the building would not block so much of the view of oncoming traffic. Otherwise, there is also a small parking lot. Service was fast and standard. I'm surprised with the drink..why do you need to purchase the "top off" to have it filled all the way?? Shouldn't it be filled all the way if you got that size? Popcorn chicken was pricey. I got a large ($13ish) with much more tiny batter pieces than actual chicken. Looks like they just filled the bottom with the tiny batter pieces and then placed some bigger actual popcorn chicken on top. You can tell in the pic there's a lot of those crunchy batter bits. Tastea has never been my go-to for boba because just by looking at the drinks and the menu, I can tell it's nothing special. But yesterday I was craving boba and karaage chicken, and Tastea was the only option still open and close to my house, so I desperately ordered from them for the first time and it will definitely be my last. The chicken was extremely salty and full of crumbs, as you can see in the photo, literally tiny pieces of batter that were overly salty. Of course, they also ran out of basil. I have tried pretty much all the boba places in Torrance and Tastea is now my go to. The boba is always the right chewiness and the drinks always taste as I expect. I love the drive through, they are actually pretty fast. The missing star is mainly for the crew. I think they are okay, I mean they are probably mostly part time employees, making minimum wage. When compared to other establishments they seem a little less friendly and don't really seem like they want to be there. For me going to get a boba is a treat and it can be a downer when the vibe is a little low. Not expecting high-fives or anything, but just seems different vs other places. Quality and reliability is still important to me so the vibe is not going to stop me from still going there! Another plus is the food, it's nice they have some go to snacks to go. I would check it out! They have minimal seating inside and out. I saw someone who was not so happy with sweetness levels not 0 sweetness when ordering 0. Please note at pretty much all boba places when adding toppings it most likely has a syrup that they can't separate, so your drink will have some sweetness. Just had a horrible experience here. I ordered food at the drive thru and sat there for 30 minutes waiting for it. Only to find out, it had been sitting by the window and the person working the window never gave it to me. I was trying to flag the workers down to get their attention because I was still waiting for my food and they kept ignoring me. There was a worker who looked straight at me and didn't do a thing. The person working the window kept putting her back to me too. The people in the car behind me kept flashing their lights at me and honking their horn, rightfully so but it still bothered me, because I still hadn't received my food so I couldn't leave. I drove off after she finally gave my order, but went back because the food was cold and soggy from sitting there forever. I never go back, but this experience really upset me, and I asked for a refund. The person said they cancelled my order but couldn't give me a receipt for proof of the refund when I asked for it. He said I should see the refund in about a week, but we'll see. This experience really put a bad taste in my mouth. I wasted so much time sitting there and being ignored by the workers. The drive thru line had piled up by the time I finally left. I used to like this place because of the convenience of the drive thru for a boba place, and yes, they some times take a longer time if you order food, but this was absolutely ridiculous. My daughter and I went to get tea. We were excited to get the Blueberry Blush tea. We arrived at 5:00 today to get our order my daughter went to the window to pick it up. There were two people inside working ; they looked at her and did not acknowledge her. Another young man came from the parking lot asked her had she been helped and she said no. He asked her did she ring the bell she said no because they looked at her and turned away. He said well you should have rang the bell; she asked why should she if they looked at her. I've been a fan of Tastea for their fruity drinks but this was my first time at this location and something was off. We ordered their seasonal Watermelon Heaven which I've tried many times at different locations but my first time trying it here, and it tasted artificial and too syrup-y. There were some watermelon bits which I appreciated, but I don't know if it was a bad watermelon or they added too much artificial flavoring. Otherwise, the service was quick and there are two kiosks inside to order. The downside is that there was no one manning the inside so if you had questions, you'd have to waive someone down. There's a drive thru which looked like it was moving pretty fast. The inside is pretty dim and there's a few small tables and seats. This review is way overdue. I have been coming to Tastea since they first opened a year or so ago. I have tried many of the drinks on their regular menu and a lot of their seasonal specials. Overall I love all their teas. I find them to be refreshing and not overwhelming. The store is located in this weird somewhat isolated area on a busy street. For some reason it just doesn't make sense to me. It can be tricky to turn into if you're heading eastbound on Sepulveda but at least there's a lane that gives you space to turn. The lot is small but I've always been able to find parking. I usually order online and drive over for pick up either at the window or the drive through, depending on if the drive through is busy or if for some random reason it's closed. I've only ordered at the kiosk inside twice and service is pretty quick The reason I deducted one star is the service. I have found that the girls who work there are all really nice and friendly while, unfortunately, the guys are grumpy and all act like they don't want to be there. Overall I have been returning to Tastea and will probably continue to return. read more

I go to tastea pretty frequently (drive thru or delivery at least once a week). Love the Thai tea w/ boba, it's always on point (boba is chewy). The one qualm that I have is that they are kind of stingy with the boba lmao where I have to order double boba to get a single equal ratio to tea, similar to what you'd see at all other boba shops.
