Got some refreshing iced peach free tea & Hubby got his Taro smoothie. Service is friendly, helpful & the aesthetics are pretty cute. You may customize your beverage in so many ways. Prices are just as pricier as any tea places. There were a few chairs inside (may seat about a half dozen) and about 5-5 chairs outdoors with an umbrella for shade Would I return? Maybe, if in the area. Parking is limited at this plaza as it shares it with so many more businesses. read more

The good: I got the pumpkin spice milk tea and mango yogurt drink. You self order from one of two tablet ordering areas. Inside, there are some high chairs by the window. I like how they had new and seasonal flavors. I all liked that the sweetness and ice could be adjusted and that there were non-caffeinated drink options for my kids. They had some food items as well. The bad: There's no outdoor seating. The worker there didn't interact with us at all. I guess that's why self-ordering kiosks exist. The boba was slightly more al dente than I would've liked. The interesting: They had a fake flower wall and Felix, the K-pop star, cardboard cutout as a photo opp. read more

I was across the way at Miss Donuts when the taste for wintermelon tea with boba came up. Actually, it's more like the taste for wintermelon tea with boba came up when I spotted this place. So, before coming through, I checked their menu online first to make sure they had it. And they did! So I waltzed my way through their doors and put the order in on the kiosk. And since I was the only customer at the time, it (literally) took 2 minutes for my drink to come out. BACK STORY: I'm specific about this drink because one of my college best friends introduced me to it from Meet Fresh. I fell in love with it immediately, and after years of searching for something similar at other milk tea spots (the nearest Meet Fresh is not a convenient drive for me) I haven't found an equivalent since then. UNTIL NOW. It's not exact, but it's very VERY close. It's refreshing, most especially during these hot SoCal days. The taste is spot on without that weird after taste (you know... that weird stuck on your mouth feeling.) If I were to critique it, I'd recommend cooking the boba pearls a bit longer. They were a bit too chewy for my taste. I'd also recommend shaking the drink to chill the entire cup before serving it. But not really a thing, though, since I can do that myself and the whole thing was chilled in a few seconds. It just makes a better impression when it's served already chilled. DRINK: 5. SERVICE: 3. Very little interaction. VALUE: 4. PARKING: Private lot shared with many other spots. Street also available (but you're better off parking in the lot.) Shouldn't be an issue. OVERALL: 4. I've been here multiple times in the past, but finally writing a review! It's probably been more than 3 years, but I came back since they had a FF14 x Gong Cha collab going on. You have to order 3 drinks to get the limited edition keychain or code for an in-game item. Also pro tip: if you check in through Yelp, you can get a 20% discount. The drinks were well made! The staff were working really hard to get all the orders in (online and in-person), and still delivered great customer service. Ambiance is small. Not really a place for hanging out, but it's pretty standard for boba stores to have this layout. I would recommend this location! read more

Great customer service. They do have a screen where you can order, but any question you have the staff will respectfully answer and accommodate. I went back for the third time and I got myself a Wintermelon tea (for all the caffeine sensitive people like me) which I really enjoyed. It only come in one sweetness level which I was ok with because the overall flavor is balanced. If you like anime, check out the post-its anime drawings by the counter cuz they are really cool and some are funny. Anyway update on the boba: the boba was in nice texture. Got the Earl Grey Milk Tea with Pearls. It's the best Earl Gray I've had so far! The tea is very fragrant, and it had a good creaminess to it. 50% sweetness was perfect, and it was comforting to drink. The boba runs on the smaller side, and it had a great chewy texture to it! I ordered online and it was ready early. The store was nice and clean inside, and it has a nice flower display. Gong Cha is a cute boba spot conveniently located next to a ramen spot. After getting ramen next door; I knew I had to just go and get some boba for dessert :). I say this place is cute for a variety of reasons. They're well set for those oh so perfect instagram moments. You'll see a wall filled with pretty pink flowers and another wall with angel wings. There's also a gigantic Hello Kitty mirror way up high. (Yes, I said my favorite Hello Kitty and I'm sure now you know why I say this place is cute ;). Now I'm sure you're reading this review thinking "Ok great the place is cute but what about the boba?" I will definitely say their boba is quite delightful and I may have found one of the best boba drinks via their Mango Marble. The Mango Marble is a blend of mango and milk foam that is layered on the cup and then poured with green tea. It's a cute drink (I know there I go again with the cute.. :) and quite a tasty one too! I love anything mango and this is definitely one for mango fans like myself. It has the perfectly sweet mango taste. I also really liked the mix of milk and green tea in there. I had read good things about gong cha so I was determined to try it on my trip to SoCal. The Wintermelon tea with boba that I ordered was extremely good and satisfied my craving for boba! I would go back again. I don't really think it was worth the hype, perhaps I did not get the right drink, but it definitely hit the spot. This boba spot has a few locations in the LA area. I tried this one after visiting Kura's Revolving Sushi in the same plaza in Torrance. Service was friendly and pretty quick too! They are known for their Milk Foam Tea which is a bit savory and makes your tea pretty creamy. I also added the Star Jelly which tasted like cut up fruits in the shape of stars. Definitely had a fruity chew and was pretty good. You can also customize the amount of sugar you would like too which is nice. Overall, a pretty good and classic tea shop! read more

The flower mural was cute, brown sugar milk tea was not. I asked for half sugar and I was told I couldn't change the sugar level but he wouldn't add a lot of brown sugar. I got my drink and it was full of brown sugar syrup! It tasted so artificial. It was so disgusting I couldn't drink it and ended up going to another bubble tea spot to make up for this bad drink. I feel sorry for writing a review like this but I just needed to let anyone else who wants to try brown sugar milk tea here to beware. I still think of the artificial taste and I want to gag! I'm hoping your experience will be better than mine. I'm so reluctant to come back here to try something else. Also, I was the only customer and they took more time to help me when they weren't doing anything while I waited to order. Went back to try black milk tea and I loved it! You've been redeemed! Not sure why this place has 3.5 stars. We go here all the time and their drinks and boba (soft, sweet, and chewy) are consistently good and their service is fast. Their milk tea boba is my favorite (sweetness at 50%). Ice coffee boba, I need to do like 100% sweetness though so I rarely get this. My son's favorite is the mango (and strawberry) swirly boba drink one. read more

The staff at the counter was friendly and answered my questions. The place was clean and not noisy. Service was quick as well. There are plenty of parking spaces right in front as it is shared with other stores next to it so don't have to worry about parking. I usually get matcha flavored drinks but this time I got the strawberry milk tea 50% sweet and no ice since I didn't want it to be diluted by the time I got home. My girls and I came here on 12/22/20 for a sweet treat after visiting the South Coast Botanic Garden. *Most* of the boba in my pearl milk tea were nice and chewy, however, my girls said some of their Thai teas were a bit hard. Then I started noticing some harder pieces as we cruised down the interstate back home. Bummer. For three okay drinks with boba and a tip, the total came out to just over $18. Yikes. The large pearl milk tea with boba went for $5.25 while the two medium Thai iced teas with pearls were $5.75 apiece. Cute backdrops for Instagram, though. read more
