This Peet's coffee location has demonstrated excellence in customer service not once, but TWICE for me and I cannot be more thankful. Today, I accidentally placed a mobile order for the Torrance location by mistake and I was soo sad. After sharing what happened to the barista, she offered to honor the purchase and I was able to get my coffee after all without paying twice. I was not expecting this at all and it sure made me feel better instantly! Another time they forgot one part of my order and I was given a coupon for a free drink my next visit. This Peet's coffee is excellent! The location is great, in The Point in El Segundo, so if you're looking for a place to rest after doing some shopping, or just looking for a place to get some good coffee, this is the place to do it! Storefront is spacious, all brand-new, and with lots of tables and chairs. And the staff were super friendly, and gave me recommendations when I asked. I ended up trying the Havana cappuccino, which has the addition of condensed milk and cinnamon to a normal cappuccino. The espresso was great-- it gave me the caffeine I was looking for, and the condensed milk added the right amount of sweetness. The best part was when the barista asked me if I had checked in on any apps. I told her I checked in on yelp, and she gave me a dollar off of my drink!!She also said Peet's has a rewards program where after you order 15 drinks you get one free. I've been to every food and drink place that's opened up at The Point so far but I may have just saved the best for last (or latest since there's more places opening up soon) with Peet's Coffee. I've never ever had Peet's Coffee ever but I had heard so many good things about their coffee. I was quite intrigued and this place opening up The Point gave me the perfect excuse to finally try it out! I was even more excited to try this place out with hearing they had pumpkin specialities. I got the pumpkin spice latte with almond milk and a pumpkin pie bar. Wow, I had a feeling Peet's would be good but I didn't expect it would be this good. Good as in the BEST! I've had many pumpkin lattes in many coffee houses but this one was just different. Different as in different in a good way. It wasn't strong but not sweet. It was just right. The addition of almond milke was also great. Similarly the pumpkin pie bar was also a winner. I loved the pumpkin pie base and the pumpkin seeds on top! I was simply in pumpkin heaven with my pumpkin latte and pumpkin pie bar! I love my pumpkin and Peet's got the pumpkin flavor down perfectly. Service here was on point ;). I loved how they filled my cup up to the brim. They are not stingy. Overall atmosphere was also on point! They have a nice, clean and comfy atmosphere. I am a fan of Peet's for a few specific reasons... 1) Their locations are very well staffed by super-friendly people who really seem to care about the products they deliver. Some Starbucks employees are just along for the ride and a paycheck...I've never had a drink fouled up at Peet's. 2) The offer Almond Milk...sure is a slightly more sugary (and contains carrageenan), version of almond milk; but if I am going to sin and get a latte, I at least don't have to stomach GMO dairy. 3) Peet's has more sugar-free and lower sugar options than most big-box coffee places...this is a good thing America...because your fat ass doesn't need more sugar. 4) Very clean locations...well, except this last time someone spilled random (and unidentifiable prescription drugs all over the floor and didn't care to pick them up). But the very attentive and nice barista I told jumped on it right away and cleaned it up...be mindful people...if you make a mess, at least help clean it up. 5) Prices are the same, maybe a few cents different than S'bux or CBTL. You go to Peet's for peace and quiet, or to be treated like a human being. ENJOY! read more

Possibly the nicest Peet's Coffee I have visited. On the ground floor of a newer building this location is great to really sit back and enjoy. The floor to ceiling windows throughout let in tons of natural light so you almost feel like you are outside. Super high ceilings and cool lighting and decor make this place super inviting. For over a few weeks I kept coming back trying to get this Guatemalan coffee beans but they were sold out. The service here is always just a bit off. Everyone comes across as jaded and salty. Maybe the clientele does this to them? I don't know... but it's not great. The person making the drinks always looks like they hate their life and their communication skills are nil. If you ask them for anything like milk or ice after they absently call your name, they are often put off by the request. I used to like to come here before a haircut next door but I always leave feeling worse than when I went in. I'm going to start looking for a new place to grab a drink while I'm at the Point. It's too bad. I used to love Peets but the more I go these days the less I love it. And it feels the same way at most locations. Not sure what's happening. read more

The barista who stands out the most is the red head lady who greets everyone as they walk in, and seems passionate about everything she does. Mr. Alfred Peet opened up a small coffee shop in the Gourmet Ghetto area (aka what's regarded as the birthplace of California cuisine), and that's how this all started. The espresso is always burnt, the matcha tastes fake, the teas are way too sweet and reminiscent of juice...and that's why I stay away from this coffee shop chain But this morning, I wanted my caffeine fix before a SoulCycle ride (located next door). I decided to give Peet's another chance. I ordered a small iced latte with coconut milk. As I waited for my drink, I sat and thought about what I'd done and how I knew I'd regret this purchase upon first sip...but to my surprise, it...tasted wonderful??????? The espresso wasn't badly burnt!! It was actually quite smooth, they didn't skimp on the drink and actually filled it to brim of the cup!! I was genuinely impressed. And I don't easily get impressed by big chains (other than my one true love, Philz Coffee)?? Most coffee shops don't offer coconut as a milk alternative, but Peet's does, so if you're curious, try it in your latte because IT'S AMAAAZING!! Super creamy and rich and full of flavor!! Bottom line: YESSS! This location has (kinda) restored my faith in Peet's. It's in a convenient place at The Point. There's plenty of parking, but the lots tend to fill up. Love this newest Peets location in Los Angeles, opened 8/16. First off the Point shopping center is sleek modern and landscaped so beautifully with a tropical theme, the shopping center in the Peet's vicinity looks like it could have been transplanted straight from Hawaii. The actual Peet's is brand new with a new look inside of stainless steel instead of wood, simple and slightly modern. Service was great. The wooden chairs could be a little bit more comfortable for long visits but there are some leather cigar chairs which look comfortable as well. read more

With Covid19 I appreciate everyone that works in the food service industry and I'm completely aware of the risks that they are putting themselves in. That being said if you don't want to work there don't take it out on the customers who want to support you. We tried to purchase coffee and the barista snapped at us to follow the arrows so we did trying to figure out how to order from the register. So we followed the arrows and stood and waited to be helped. As we stood in the corner some additional customers came in. No one snapped at them. They were all over the place. Two seconds later a barista happily called them up to the register to take their order completely ignoring us. We looked at each other and left. I'm not sure why you decided to ignore us.
